Colorweek: Chit Chat 90'S Pigtails & Lace Wig Tape! Ft. Wiggins Hair (2017)

Hey everyone and welcome back to color week today, i'm going to be trying some bold hold lace tape. I did try it in one of my previous videos when i had when it was a synthetic wig, but i did it so fast. So i wanted to kind of do it like step by step here on my channel to see if it's something that i really want to continue doing. I haven't used it since that day, um so yeah, something i wanted to try on my channel to see if it really works, because i know i was getting a lot of questions on. Do i need to buy the tape? Well, the hair that i'm rocking is from wigginshair.com. I have in a 20, 22, 24 24 and a 20 and a 20 inch lace frontal. So, if you guys do not know a frontal is from ear to ear um, i did color this hair originally for this video, it's supposed to be a coloring video, but that just was a complete mess like the footage deleted from my camera, and i was so Upset so the only thing i can really do for you guys today is just the styling of this hair that i have right now um. So i do apologize for that um, but yeah. It'S like a pale pink. It'S like a pale pink kind of has like specks of like blonde in it. It'S not totally pink. I wasn't going to make this video a talk through. I was actually just going to speed it up and do that, but i don't know this week. I'Ve just been for color week. I'Ve really been like just feeling like i wanted to actually talk to y'all. Instead of just doing like a sped up video. I hope you guys don't mind it. I know some of you hate when i talk, so we all so rude, some of y'all hate. When i talk because i talk too much so this is the tape. This is how it looks. It is the bold hold lace, wig tape for ultimate hold um. The instructions on the package says white area using 90 alcohol apply, bold hole, tape, taps only to skin, never apply to hair. We recommend you remove any hair or any hair fuzz before applying. This can cause damage if applied or removed improperly, and they have a link for youtube video to watch the full thing i've already watched it, so i know how they apply it, so i'm gon na do that today. This is not a tutorial, i'm not showing you! How to do it, i'm literally just showing myself how to do it and you're watching me with alcohol, because i have on makeup and it's going to wipe off my makeup. But in the future you guys, if you do decide to put on any any wigs that you're putting on. I don't think i've mentioned this, but any wigs that you put on your head with glue gel whatever you're supposed to rub it with alcohol and um you're. Not even supposed to have a makeup when you put on your wigs, i have my makeup because i'm this is what i do. I do videos so i like to have my face made up what i'm going to start, i'm going to start with the lace, the the wig cap like this, and this is the wig cap that they always use, and i'm going to put it like right near My eyebrows mine is right here. I don't know if you guys can see that i have a big forehead. It'S right there, so i'm going to just spray right here and you want to make sure that it's over your ears, because you're going to cut around your ear, it's supposed to be around your ear. Everything like the wig cap is supposed to be protecting your edges. That'S the pointless corpses. Many of the people you destroyed were still alive. Foreign just finish this okay. So, as you guys see, my hairline starts right there, but i left a little bit of cap on because i don't always like to put my wigs all the way right here. I mean you're supposed to line it up with your hairline. But if you have a big forehead like i do, and you don't want all that for it showing all the time you can pull your wig down a little bit to kind of give yourself like a a fake hairline kind of you know a new hairline. Okay. So because the the frontal, as you can see, is like a dent right here, i'm gon na have to cut this cap like the frontal or the cap, will show through the lace. You can see the cap a little bit right there, because this frontal is. I don't know i mean i like the fact that they put little dips in it, but not everybody's head has dips in it. So you know not. Everybody'S hairline is like dupe a big circle right here and it's down. Some people have round hair lines. So i don't know where they were going with this frontal, but it's really not my fave, so i'm gon na have to go ahead and just like cut the cap. I guess like that. So now that i've cut the lace the way it's supposed to be cut because of how the frontal is shaped, um yeah, now we're going to use. Now i'm going to be trying the tape um to do the tape you want to use tweezers any type of tweezers, i'm using these type of teeth. Teasers stop talking so fast, i'm using these tweezers right! This is how the tape looks. Um. It'S just like these little tab, there's a lot that comes in the pack that you purchased. This is one we got. Two we got three hold up hold up hold up, we got three, we got uh four five, six, seven eight and i probably had more because i used a few on my mom, but yeah there's a lot and then it's not only just this is the fact That the tape is right here, so this is one piece of tape. This is two pieces of tape. Just like that. So it's a lot for your money. I feel like gon na cut up like that just so i can get the tapes out to do this. Look i'm gon na cut up like that use the tweezers and you want to kind of like hold up, because if not, the tape will still be on this oops see. The tape is still on here. Okay, so i had to step off camera y'all, but i took off so this is the tape right here and you see how like oh, it's so sticky all right. So that's one piece of tape. Now i'm going to do the other see as you can see, the tape is trying to lift up. So what i'll do is i'll hold and i'll just use my extra long nail to kind of lift it up? You see so good thing for these long nails. Oh okay, all right, you guys, so i added the tape all around my hairline, it shriveled up a little bit. I was having a little bit of trouble. So ugh i mean the tape is less messier than the glue, but at the same time it's very tedious because you have to make sure you pull up the white tab and then, if you mess up like, i did it'll kind of be a little bit like Squiggly, let's just see how good the hold is, so i'm gon na take my wig and i'm gon na put it. I always do it like this. I put it in the back and then i pull it up front. I think that's just better for me to adjust. So let me just get everything adjusted. So i'm going to start with the side, and let me actually just clip this up, so i can see what i'm doing okay. So i'm going to start with this side and this and just put it where the tape is until it's on the tape and i'm holding down for dear life, because it's coming up and it's getting on my nerves. And if, oh my gosh, it looks like. I got a facelift whoa. This tape is no joke. Wow i feel like i got a facelift. Oh my gosh. I can't even move look. Look at my face. It'S like pushed back hold up, y'all cause. This is just crazy hold on. Oh my gosh. It feels like i have a face: lift i feel like a drag queen, the drag queens, they use tape, and i really like it's like pushing up my hair. Like my my face, oh my gosh, i mean that's good because it gives me a facelift, but oh gosh. What i'm going to do now is i'm just going to cut some of this to the baby hairs because, as you can see, this is just too much and i look like a character. I don't look like a person. I look weird, so i'm just going to like cut that down. Okay, because this is just too much that's going on right here way too much. That'S going on right here! That'S way too long, it's way too long! This is the look i try to avoid when i do my frontals like that. Look right there try to avoid that okay, so that looks a little bit better um. Let me just go ahead and cut these down because i don't know what's going on over here. Okay y'all, so i'm just gon na go ahead and just give myself some crimps. I don't want like really really big crimps. I wanted smaller crimps. I have to get a smaller crimp iron, because big crimps are cute, but i like, like the little crimps that kind of look it makes your hair look a little bit like a afro, not afro, but it gives your hair texture those really old school, big crimps. So i'm gon na invest in like the crimping irons. That'S really really small. The one i have this one is like this is not it's crimps, but it's like waves. It'S really really big, as you can see, so it's gon na be big waves, but it's fine. Um, i am going to invest in the small crimp and iron and slay another wig with some really cute crimps. So i'm just going to take like this much hair and you hello, oh uh, you future! Okay, do so! I'M just going to put it up in some pigtails, which is really really easy. I don't really have to show you how to do this um yeah, because this look was just boring me. I mean the crimp. Look. I'Ve done it plenty of times before i've never done it on my channel, but i've done it like in my everyday life and it's cute, but it's kind of boring. That'S why i say i want the crimp crimping iron. That'S really small, because those that's a look work. Do you guys know? I always take a strand of hair because i do not like the ponytail is what i call it. I do not like the ponytail showing just because i don't um yeah, so i'm gon na wrap it around like that and yes, this is so cute. I love you. That is the end of this video. That is the end of this look uh. I didn't even know what look i was going to do today for this wig, but because it's color week i wanted to go outside step outside my comfort zone and do a look that i've never done before and i've never done pigtails. Just because i feel like i'm a little bit too wrong for that, but i don't think that's true. I think this hairstyle is very 90s. All in all, i think the tape is cool. What i'd be trying to tape all the time? No, i'm just going to stick to the glue and stuff like that, because the tape is really messy as well. I don't know like i said it could have been, because i had on a whole bunch of makeup. That'S probably why i wasn't sticking. It was getting on my nerves, i'm going to try it another day without makeup and see how well it is, but the tape is not bad. I feel like with the tape and the glue it's really gon na be a good hold, but yeah. That was all for this video.
