Hey you guys, it's your girl, jamilia back in the cut with another video. Today, i'm going to be showing you guys how i bleach my knots and get it to look like scalp. Today, i'm going to be working with a 13x4 frontal. This is swiss lace. The kind of lace that you have kind of does depend on how your frontal comes out, because some laces are thinner. Some laces are thicker. When you hear people talking about bleaching the knots they mean like in order to have a frontal, you have to knock the hair onto the lace for it to stay on the lace for it to look like scalp. So you have to bleach the hair that is looped around the lace for it to become essentially blonde so that you won't see it. So this is what the knots are giving before. I do anything to them. They'Re very much there very much black, very much dotty. Do don't mind my little cocoa butter container? I know it's ghetto, but i couldn't find my hair bleaching bowl, but today i'm going to go with my bw2 bleach. Everyone uses this and my 30 volume developer. You can find all of this at your beauty. Supply store for under 10, depending on the size of the bleach powder that you get and yeah i'm gon na go in with two and a half scoops, which was a lot for this size frontal. But i like to have a little bit left over. Just in case, i want to re-bleach the knots, because sometimes it may take two or three times for you to bleach the knots for it to get light enough. So you won't see it. You know so now, i'm just going in with the developer. Yes, i almost got what it was called. I don't just dump in a whole bunch at a time i kind of pour and work it in little by little um. The consistency that i'm going for is more of like a cake, batter yeah, you don't want it to be dry and crunchy. You want it to be kind of liquidy so that it seeps through the lace just a tad, so the full knot is getting bleached, because if it's too thick, you just lay it on the lace. The bottom half of the knot is going to get bleached and not the top, which defeats the whole purpose. I don't think a lot of people realize this when they're bleaching the knots but a test that i use to make sure that the bleaching is ready to go. Is i take up my knife? I shake it and when it falls, you know it's the perfect consistency. If you got ta shake it twice for it to full, it's too thick, you got ta shake it once in a full, then that's how you know it's like cake, batter, so yeah you wan na make sure it's liquidy enough to seep through a little bit so That the full knot is submerged in bleach. Doing this, you want to make sure you brush the hair back and spray it with some type of hairspray, because the last thing you want is 1b here with a bunch of blonde streaks in it. Well hey! If that's the look you're going for do that, but you don't want to get any bleach on the hair. So now i'm going in with a knife, because, honestly, this is the easiest way for me to do it. I put the bleach on and then i rub it in a little bit. So, as i mentioned earlier, you can see that it's kind of seeping through the lace a little bit and that's exactly what we're going for you'll see me, go over it and press it in and press it in. That'S because i've been doing hair for some years now, and this is the best technique that works for me. Also a very, very important detail to keep in mind when bleaching knots is you want to check your wig description and see if it's double knotted triple knotted? Quadruple knotted, because the more the more individually knotted it is, it will be, the knots would be bigger, it will be harder to bleach, it will be harder to pluck. I hope that makes sense, but, like i said you have to take one individual strand of hair and loop, it around the lace for it to look like it's coming out your scalp right. What a lot of companies do to make the frontal thicker is. They would loop like four strands of hair around one piece of lace, but when you do that the knots are huge and it takes forever to bleach and you don't want to over bleach your hair because that's a whole nother process. After all, that is done. I'M going in with a piece of foil just to cover the bleach, to make sure that it's distributing the heat that it will make from all these chemical reactions it distributes it even so that there is no like knots that weren't bleach and stuff like that. Also, this speeds up the process a lot. I did leave this on for 30 minutes, though so so after 30 minutes, i checked the lace and all of the knots were bleached, so i went in and i rinsed it all. I rinsed it with cold water just to like immediately stop the processing, and here i'm just checking to make sure i don't see any knots and me then i go in with my purple. Shampoo y'all know the drill i feel, like everyone knows how to bleach knots at this point. But if you don't, this, video is for you, but yeah you're gon na see me go with my purple shampoo and i'm just gon na leave that on there the purpose of purple shampoo is like i mentioned earlier, you're trying to bleach the knots to make it Blonde and sometimes when you bleach black hair, it comes out like orange and brassy. Purple shampoo will tone that down and make it more neutral and skin like and you guys after all of this you're done like i did this process so quickly. I feel like a lot of people just overthink it and they're scared, but it's really easy once you get the hang of it now. This video was really short because, like i mentioned it's not really that complicated, i feel like people are just a little scared to mess up their wigs. So this is why i made this video. I hope that you guys found this useful and if you did please comment down below and like so, i know that you did and thanks for watching, i'm gon na insert a few pictures to show you guys the before and after just so like you actually see That you should be bleaching your knots and just not wearing your hair straight off the box because it navigate, but look at that. Look at that skin, scalp scalp! You
