Traumagic Journey: Do you literally cut around your ears to make the wig fit and have the hair as your natural hair goes around the ears as well? I have a very small head/skull. I got myself 3 wigs but I have 0 experience and whatever I tried, it looked horrible and SO obvious it is a wig! As a Dutch woman born and raised in the Netherlands, I got wigs because I'm getting grey quickly at age 33, thinning hair (losing it by several full hands when brushing/washing my hair). I don't want to colour my hair because I don't want to do more damage as my hair is already really thin/fine. This is the reaction of several chronic illnesses, its medications and lots of stress. In 2015, age 26 I got hit by a car (as a pedestrian) driving 60, launched in the air and dropped back at the road at least 20 meters further. I had a near death experience and now have facial paralysis & synkinesis on the right side of my face, severe traumatic brain injury, seizures etc so I have lots of insecureties regarding my face ;( Unfortunately in the south of the Netherlands we don't have salons where they install wigs etc. Salons owned by coloured women for coloured women if that makes sense? There's no demand for it in my environment. So what is my best option? Ask around if anybody knows anyone who'd be open teaching me? I'd rather pay and tip as appreciation etc them doing it for me so I know it's done correctly since y'all SO skillful and creative! Me doing it myself will be a disaster! My wigs are the ones with the clips on the inside and way too big. Any tips please? I would like to feel better as I feel less of a woman because of my facial palsy, grey and thinning hair.
