Strong Hold...Clean Hairline Bold Hold Liquid Gold Wig Install| Developer Method Lighten Wig

Foreign, let's start today's video with a subscriber question. She says: hey Marie. I just wanted to drop a line and tell you how much I appreciate you in your wig tutorials. I have learned so much from you over the past two years. So her first question says: do you always use the ball cap method? I absolutely do not. I only use that method if I'm wearing actual glue two. What are your thoughts on tape versus glue versus spray adhesives? I only like to use spread adhesives. The tape and the glue is a little intense for me unless I'm going somewhere, where I need to really get a good hold and three. How often do you wash your own hair? I wash my hair once every week once every two weeks or once a month just depending on how I feel now remember you can always drop me a comment below in the comment section. I will also have a discount code down there for y'all if you want to save on today's wig. So this is the wig I'm going to be working with. As you can see, it's a straight texture and it is a natural color, as promised in a moment, I'm gon na show you all how I do my method to lighten my wigs very fast. So this is a 13 by 6 cap and, as you see, it has a beautiful hairline to this wig and, of course you can party anywhere on the lace. Well, I have to go out and get some supplies for today's tutorial, of course, later on we're going to be installing this wig with the bow hole Liquid Gold. You all have asked me about that so stay tuned. If you would like to see that install, but this is the bleach that I picked up from my local Beauty Supply now, this is not the one I actually prefer. I will put the one I prefer in the description box in my Amazon storefront um, but this is the one that I have handy also with the 30 volume developer, I'm going to be using now with my method today. It is a developer method, not really like a bleaching tutorial you'll see that later, but I also found these really cute turbines when I was there and just some little accessories head accessories, I always enjoy just buying accessories. For you know my hair earrings all that good stuff. So that's what else is in the back. If you were wondering all right, let's jump straight into it. This is going to go by really fast, so make sure you are paying attention. You want to get your gloves and put them on you're going to need them. You want some type of bowl or container like I'm using, and I like to place my developer inside of a big bowl or tub like this, and then I'm only going to take just a little bit of bleaching powder and sprinkle it inside of there. Now you want to use more developer here. You do not want this to be thick a lot of times. I hate bleaching, hair or lightening the hair, because it's hard to get the bleach to spread through the hair evenly and you have to use so much it'd. Be so thick, so this is my way of lightening my wigs in a faster way, as you all see in a second. So I put a lot of developer in there and I just take the hair and I put it into that developer and kind of just spread it around the hair rubbing it through every strand. You want to make sure you get the top to the bottom and just evenly coat it, and it's going to be so simple, simple. I love this method like I said because it spreads through the hair effortlessly. You do not need to go Section by section or piece by piece, but this will not lighten the hair to blonde. It will only take it a shade lighter so maybe to a dark brown, maybe sometimes to a number four just depending on the hair. This method do not work on hair that has been colored again. If your wig has been colored black, it will not work, only works on the natural color and, as you can see it lightened it up very well. I let this sit for about 30 minutes. Maybe an hour just depends on the hair again so yeah. That'S all I do to lighten my wigs, a shade, lighter and, as you can see, it works pretty good. If you need to, you can go in with a purple shampoo to get rid of any brassiness but make sure you get all of the product out of the hair. You want to shampoo not too much, but you want to make sure you're rinsing the hair enough, where you're not leaving any of that developer into the hair. All right. Let'S move into this install again, I'm using the bow hold Liquid Gold. I'Ve heard so many people talk about this and ask me to try it so I'm going to try it today. The boho Liquid Gold, I have is the reloaded version. It is their new formula. I have not tried their older formula to tell you if it's a difference, so this is my first time using this product at all. So what I'm doing is going by what the bottle says it says to apply a smaller amount around the hairline on areas of the skin, where the lace will be applied and try to do a section by section at a time. So I'm starting at the center of the cap because a lot of times, if I start the sides, especially with this type of product, I will get lifting in the center. Now I am taking my dryer on cool just to get this product a little tacky before I place the lace a lot of times with the consistency of gels or any liquid type of formula like this. It takes longer to dry and I don't like to use heat because I feel like it do cause the product to dry too quickly. So I just needed enough where I can place that lace in a stick just a little bit, I'm not trying to really adhere it down completely right now. Now I do notice the bottle says to place the lace on top and then use a warm dryer to dry it completely. I'M not doing it that way. I probably try it that way. You know again in the future, but not today. I just wanted to kind of just make sure I didn't get a mess as far as it being too wet, leaving residue or anything like that. So I'm just kind of doing the technique that I like to do with my wig adhesive sprays and just in case you're wondering this product can be removed with just water, so it is a daily type of use product. However, I've heard so many people say that they get a really strong hold, so I got to put it to the sweat test. Maybe um y'all know I work out. So maybe one day I'll come back and show you guys how it works in a sweat test. Um but as for today, I'm just trying out the application, I'm just trying to see if I can enjoy the process because a lot of times, like I told you all, I love my wig adhesive sprays, they're simple. I have my technique and it just gives me what I want. So I had to try this because you all are saying it's really good and I'm being really gentle right now, making sure that I do not mess this up, because I did not want to have to wash my wig again or anything so as I'm placing it Down even drying it with a dryer, a little bit is still like coming up, so I had to go back and I was really afraid that the center will start lifting before I got the sides down and that's the difference between um products. With this consistency and the sprays I feel like the spray is like an instant grab once you put that dryer to it, whereas the gels or the products like this um, they take a little time to dry. So what I'm going to do is get this as tacky as possible, so it can at least grab the lace and then I'm going to probably just tie down the hairline like. I normally do for 15 minutes and let that you know do its job. But as you can see so far, everything's looking very clean um and it's sticking - and this is real time - I wanted to make sure that you all saw how I apply this in real time. So this is how long it's taking me that lace is melting. So well, the hairline is perfect. I love this wig again will be linked Below in the description box. It is a simple straight style, so if you're looking for a low maintenance wig, yes, this is it so I'm going to go ahead and just tie down this hairline for 15 minutes, I'm gon na let this band sit, and I will have my sleigh bands Linked In the description box also, if you would like to purchase one of course with this wig, I didn't show it yet, but you can part this wig anywhere on the lace I'm going to do a center part today, but you can part it on the side. You can, you know, do any type of parting that you want and of course it is a 13 by 6 cap. So you do get the wefts in the back. You get the Combs adjustable straps, so you can wear glueless or whatever you want to do with it all right. So yeah, I'm gon na go ahead and remove this band. It'S been about 15 minutes. We'Re gon na look at this hairline and see what it looked like and I was super nervous. I can't even lie. I was super nervous, but as you see, the hairline is clean, except for one spot, but I was nervous that when I took that band off - oh my God, I thought it was going to be like a glue type of mess like a sticky type of mess. But it looks really really good so this product - I like I like it, I have to work with it a little bit more to see if I can fall in love with it um, because you guys know, I love my sprays but girl.
