Hey you guys welcome back to my channel for today's video. We are going to be doing a wig install and it's going to be pretty quick. Hopefully it's going to be a quick video because i'm actually in a rush to go somewhere, but this is the wig that i'm trying out from a new vendor. So i'm not going to be telling you guys where i got it from. Unfortunately, i'm so sorry don't kill me, but i'm just going to be showing you guys how i install this wig okay. So i'm going to start by showing you guys kind of, like my updated, bald cap method, there's not really much of a difference to it. To be honest other than i use like hair glue to secure the cap. Instead of using got to be free spray or the um got to be gel. For some reason, i've been noticing that using hair glue instead kind of secures my cap better, and i also feel like the got to be glued method. It'S kind of messier when you're taking it out of your hair. I feel like when you're taking the wig cap off and you've used got to be glued to lay it down, and it's like all in your hair and stuff. It kind of takes out some of your edges. I honestly think that it's not the wigs taking out your hair. I honestly think is this, so i use these still, but i use it for different things. Now, not um securing my cap so going along my hairline. I'M gon na use hair glue, even though a lot of people say, like oh hair glue, takes out your hair. I personally did not have that experience, so i can't really say that, from my experience got to be glued kind of took out a little bit of my edges, but they have been grown back and it's all good we're going to be taking a stocking cap by The way you guys can get stocking caps kind of in bulk, but not really, but in like a large quantity for very little amount of money on amazon. Amazon has really good ball caps. That'S where i got this one from matches. Well, it doesn't match my skin tone, but, like it's a perfect shade for me to put foundation on top, i already put my hair in this protective style um. I don't really do much. I kind of just like twist up my hair put them in like two ponytails. I just had a video. I actually did a video on this. I actually did a video on this a while ago, um i'll link it down below it's an old video. It'S actually probably not that old, but it feels old to me. It feels like i did it a while ago. I showed you guys how i do my hair under my wigs and i don't do it any different at all and my hair has been growing and growing, and it's definitely thanks to a mixture that i made that i actually posted on tiktok. If you guys don't follow me on tik tok, definitely follow me. It'S miss trina k and i'll link it down below spent a year with, like very, very little hair growth. I felt like my hair was just breaking off breaking off breaking off, but i don't know what reason, but my hair was not growing for like a year straight, i think was like 2018 or 2019 probably 2018, and it was not growing. But once i started using this mixture, i'm telling you my hair does not break off as easily i get. When i take down my hair from my wig installs like i don't get as much shedding. None of that. So i'm going to try to multitask and talk at the same time, because i don't want this video to be extremely long before you go ahead with your bowl cap method. You always want to make sure you clean off your hairline with some alcohol i'm using this swan brand alcohol and it's 99. Oh, i just spilled it just take it on a little piece of paper, just go ahead and rub it along my hairline. If you do your wigs and you don't have a clean hairline, if you don't clean, oh the scent jesus, if you don't clean off your hairline before your wig installs, your wigs will not last. I guarantee you. Your wigs will not last because your body creates natural oils and it will lift your wig and slide it back. I promise you, it will oh wait. I forgot to stop okay. So before i put down my wig cap, i like to like gel my baby hairs down. I know i just talked about this product kind of like pulling out my edges a little when i was using it for my ball cap method. When i do my um protective style, i do put a lot of grease that mixture that i told you guys about. I put that in my hair, so it's like coated on my hair strands already. So when i put this on top it's kind of smooth and it's not like really hard as long as you have your edges properly moisturized. In my personal experience, i've noticed this does not take out my edges when i like properly moisturize my hair with like grease and stuff, i feel like the petroleum based products, kind of act as a barrier so stuff like this or anything else, does not pull out. My edges i like to take it on the popsicle. Stick i don't know i just don't like getting my hands dirty. That sounds so like bougie though, but i mean that's what it is like. I don't want to get my hands dirty period. Y'All are probably like she's doing a lot of rambling for somebody who's like in a rush to go somewhere. I know i need to hurry up. I need to like be quiet and hurry up okay, so i did my second layer and i cleaned my hairline again, but after i do it the first time with alcohol. I don't like to go in too much with alcohol because i feel like it'll dry out your skin, so instead i like to use witch hazel and i feel like that's a little bit more gentle on the skin. You know now we can do the ball. Cap method, so i'm going to put on my cap, then i'm going to cut out a hole for both of my ears, so my wig cap could lay flat and my ear tabs could lay down. I feel like whenever i do something on the left side of my face. I have the tendency to like put my arm in front of my face and block my face, but it's because i feel so weird like doing it from this angle. I don't know okay so now this is the part where i would usually use some got to be glued free spray, but instead i'm going to take your girl erica j's glue. This is her hold me down glue and i'm going to use this to secure my cap. This, i notice, never pulls out my edges. You just have to remove it properly with some remover oil or whatever you want to call it. Some lace, wig removal, whatever you want to use you - could either use hers, which i actually do love it works so so fast and i actually have it, but for the most part i use c22 solvent because it just comes in like a larger size. I like to do one side at a time and i like to like dot it right in front of my hairline. I don't like to go on. You see my hairline's like right here. I go a little bit before it because i'm in a rush, i completely forgot that i always go in with scalp protector before i put on the glue, but i actually forgot on this side, so i'm just going to do it on the other side instead. So now that it's all dry, like it's not going anywhere um, i'm gon na cut from the middle, then i'm going to pull well first, i'm just going to lift it up a little bit kind of how i would do the got to be glue kind of Want to pull that back to the hairline just a little bit, i kind of spread the glue out a little bit too thick like i'm, not too thick. I kind of spread the glue out a little bit too wide. So i wanted to pull the cap back. A little bit so there's not too much cap now that it's pulled back to my liking, i'm gon na like hold it firmly backwards and then start to cut. So this will have like a clean cut. So you don't have to go back in and cut any more of the cap. My scissors are getting really really dull. I need to get new ones like asap, see, that's it. That'S literally, all that's different with my routine, but i feel like the glue, does secure this better than the hold me down spray and it's a little bit more neat and easier to take off. So now i'm going to color the cap to my skin tone and for that i'm going to take this maybelline super stay full coverage foundation and this is in the shade, coconut - and this is like my exact skin tone, if not maybe a shade, like maybe half A shade darker, i like to take my foundation and put it on this little cardboard thing that came with the wig cap. So then i'm going to take this stippling brush and just swirl it around, and then i'm going to stipple it on my cap. So now i'm going to clean around my hairline just one more time, just in case the foundation has any oils in it. So it doesn't. You know, mess up my install so to do that, i'm going to be taking my witch hazel and a piece of paper. Here'S how the wig looks on my head. I did a little bit of tweezing off camera, but i like to kind of do the tweezing on my head now, so i'm gon na apply it like this, but i'm gon na do some tweezing after i glue it down to my head now, i'm going to Start on the application of the wig and it's pretty self-explanatory, i apply um. First, i'm going to cut off the lace um honestly, i don't like applying it with the lace. I know a lot of people do because it helps them pull it forward, but i like to do it without the lace, so i cut it off first and i'm going to apply some uh walkers tape, scalp protector, the thick one and i'm going to apply about. Maybe five layers of the erika j hold me down glue and i'm also going to use her hold me down spray to you know kind of prep and prime for the glue just gon na fast forward through this, because i'm kind of pressed for time so yeah. If i have anything to say i'll talk here and there, but for the most part it's gon na be like sped up okay, so i'm gon na go wet up my hair a little bit. So i can get these curls popping and i'm going to put some leave-in conditioner, basically just make the curls pop and then i'm going to come back and spook. These baby hairs really liking the way it turned out so far, because i'm not done yet. But look at how i did these baby hairs. Oh my god, i'm getting so much better! I feel, like this side is tweezed better than this side, but i'm not gon na stress it too much at this point because one i really have to go to. I mean it still looks good and eventually the frontal will shed over time on its own, so i'll just leave it, as is it still looks good. The products that i used to make my curls pop was the miles uh coily custard. I love that for my natural hair and my curly wigs, i also use the lotta body styling milk. These are products that i would naturally use on my curly hair and they just made these curls pop so nicely, especially the custard. So i use the custard. I use the latte body, styling milk and i also use some nairobi uh setting foam, and this is how i got this. This looks so pretty. I originally got this hair with the intention of doing like a curly bob, but i'm kind of liking how it came. I didn't even cut it nothing. This is how the wig came on its own and yeah i'm liking it so far. I think i really slayed this wig install i'm loving how it's looking right now, i feel very, very much foreign, even though i was born in the u.s.
