So before I get started, I do want to go ahead and show the wig straight out of the package. So this is how it was sent to me just in like this poly mailer and they use DHL to ship, the wig and it comes in this bag and the bag just says: Wiggins hair wants me, I never forget, and it's got all of their social media. On here so their Instagram Facebook YouTube Tick, Tock, email and phone number period. So if you need a contact Time, those are all the methods to contact them and you know with companies always send stuff inside. So they said two wig caps, an elastic band. This is just like a book that tells you how you can get coupons and stuff like that by doing reviews for them, and I was looking for like a like a packing slip. You know when they put in like exactly what you ordered, how many inches the wig is, etc, etc, which you paid for it, but they didn't have that. But it says just on a bag. Four by four and this oh, the wig came in a net, but I have already opened this in real life, so I probably just took the net off of it already. I opened it, but I didn't do anything to it and this is the wig. This is the hair. It'S a 4x4 lace closure, let's see so it's got three combs in it. Y'All know how wigs look. It has three combs in the elastic band in the back, which I'm happy about, I think on the website. They did claim that the lace was pre-plugged, but obviously the knots are not bleached or anything like that. So I'm gon na have to go through the whole process and I've never fully customized a wig like I've, gotten wigs got them installed and then like reinstalled them myself once they're already customized by the stylus. But I've never done it like from beginning to end. So I've been watching a bunch of YouTube videos, actually I'm lying for my 21st birthday. I try to do my wig by myself and it came out so freaking ugly. Oh my gosh, it was so bad, but I never um tried to bleach the knots. I just tried to use like remember people used to say, like you could just tint the knots instead of having to bleach them. So I try to use like the self tanner spray to just tint the lace and tint the knots too. But the knots on this wig seem to be pretty small, so I'm hoping that they bleach easily. I don't know how to bleach hair. I don't know what I'm doing, I'm just learning from YouTube and Tick Tock and I'm the type of person where I feel like. If everybody else can do it, I can figure it out too, like it cannot be that hard. I think I'm just always scared to mess up, because the world is unforgiving, like the girls will chew you up. If you try to pop out what a crazy looking wig, so that's why I just be nervous to learn. So if this fails - and I end up looking crazy - I'm just I'm still gon na wear the wig, but I'm gon na put a hat on and the reason why I want to learn how to do the wig install by myself anyway, is because one I don't Want to pay these stylists all this money that they're charging to do my hair. If it's something that I can learn at home, because it's just so expensive and it's unaffordable, but also because I want to grow my natural hair. I do have like thick healthy, curly hair, but that's why I need to wear wig because I have thick healthy, curly hair and the styles that I want to do are going to damage my hair. So much like my hair doesn't like being straight. I don't want to over manipulate my hair, like I want to keep my hair healthy. I want to keep my hair strong, so my plan for the winter is to really just wear. Wig keep my hair braided up, keep my scalp oiled and try to grow. My hair out some more um recently I did have to like cut some of my hair off and I feel, like my hair is short I feel. Like short curly hair just looks childish on me personally, it's just not my style, it's not what I like. So I want to go ahead, learn a new skin you and also just protect my hair by putting it under a wig for the winter, hopefully by time summer rolls around you know I'll be outside with the wash and goes again. You know I don't have a problem with that. So that's what inspired me so go ahead and try to do this all right. So the next thing I'm going to show is all of the tools and supplies that I bought to go ahead and do this. These two things I did not buy, and this is saloncare 20 volume developer. My mom is actually a hair stylist, so she just gave me both of these products, because this was stuff that she had just like, laying around or whatever, but I didn't actually buy those, but I did go ahead and buy this mannequin head from Amazon. This is supposed to be one of the ones that you can anchor to something, and it's um like a. I want to say this is canvas material. The reason that I went ahead and bought this and not a styrofoam one, even though I'm a beginner, is because I've had a styrofoam one in the past, and it's just hard to Anchor like you have to hold it between your legs or something like that. In order to get it to stand still and in the past I wasn't like tweezing and stuff - I really just wanted to store my wig, but because I'm going to be tweezing and combing and trying to manipulate the wig, I really wanted to stay still. So I want to be able to Anchor it on something: that's going to hold it there, and this I purchased from Amazon this and the rest of the products that I'll be showing that I did purchase on Amazon will be linked Down Below on my Amazon storefront. The mannequin hide came with this little package. It'S got some clips in there and this is the piece to Anchor the wig. So this one in particular, I didn't get a tripod to stand it on, because those were more expensive and, like I said this is my first time ever doing this. I don't even know if I'm ever gon na do it again or if I'm gon na, do it correctly. So this you can just anchor it onto any table you just screw it on. So I'm gon na have to figure out how to work this. Hopefully I can find some instructions or it's like easy to do but, like I said all the instructions are right here and then it just came with some clips, Annette um and some t-pins and some curved pins to keep the wig like onto the mannequin head. The next thing that I got was this hair wax thick. This is just so once I do the wig and I'm applying the wig. I can go down and make sure that it's flat, so you just like apply the wax stick to the wig and then go over with the hot comb. So that's what I got this for, but I didn't have one so I just ordered it off of Amazon and then I bought this little Shimmer light shampoo and the reason that I got this is because um after you bleach the knots you do want to tone Them with something so usually, this is what I see people use like: either: purple shampoo, blue shampoo or something blue or purple, to cancel out the orangish like brassy color, that you get from lifting the knots and bleaching the hair. So again I only got the little two ounce one because it was like two or three dollars or maybe like five dollars or something like that and, like I said I don't have blonde hair. I don't know if I'm ever gon na use this again. I don't know if I'm either gon na even gon na do this correctly. So if I was a pro already, I would obviously get a bigger one, but I don't know if I'm ever gon na need to use it again. So I got the tiny one and then I just borrowed this little color mixing bowl from my mom, so I can mix up the bleach. I already have a brush from uh like past project that I did or whatever so now, I'm gon na go try to set this stuff up. I'M gon na go in the bathroom and try to get this all together. So the first thing that I noticed was even when putting the wig on the mannequin head. I had to be really careful about um the direction that I pulled. The lace that way the hairs would all go backwards and they wouldn't stick down, because if there was hairs like all right here and I went ahead - and I put the bleach on those hairs - would have gotten bleached too, so they wouldn't be black. They would be like a blondish or orangish color um. I couldn't see one like in the camera, like one hair, that's out of place, but I wanted to keep all those hairs out that way. I'M focusing the knots just I mean I'm focusing the bleach just on the knots and not on the rest of the hair um. So now I'm gon na go ahead and try to mix up the bleach all right, so the hair, stylist and people who do their hair all the time they don't wear gloves when they handle bleach, but that's good. I also learned that you're supposed to start applying from the back that way the front and the part that you see more doesn't process too quickly or over processed. So I'm gon na try this. Oh, I'm so nervous. I found it magic. I'M gon na use this just put it out instead and I'm trying to be super light that way, I'm not pushing into the lace one hour later. You can kind of see here that the knots definitely did process, but you could still see them. So I wouldn't say that it processed fully, so I think I'm gon na, let me see, like you, can see right here like instead of just all black dots, you do have like some goldish dots, I'm not sure if you can even bleach hair while it's wet. I think I want to try to mix up some more bleach and like reapply it and leave it for a few more minutes, all right, it's literally it's so hard to see because my head is blocking the light, but this is what I've done so far as You can see, one side is plucked this side and one side is not I'm scared of over plucking, so I don't know I feel like that's all I need to do. I might want to go back like a little further into the hairline, but I'll see like once. I try to put the wig on so I'm just gon na try to plug this side. I had to relocate to my kitchen because the way that this little stand is set up, I needed like a like nothing to be under the table so that I could really tighten it. So I'm just gon na start trying to pluck this side. It is kind of hard for me to get on camera, but I'm gon na try my best foreign hey, I feel like I probably should have got like a lust. Oh, I was watching YouTube video, but I feel like I probably should have got like a less. It'S not expensive, but like a different wig, just in case I messed it up, because this wig is honestly beautiful, like this hair is really beautiful. It'S so soft and all I did was shampoo it. I didn't even condition it because I feel like conditioner, be making the hair get like so oily fast, but this is honestly so beautiful. I didn't even put it on all the way yet and I'm feeling myself so I'ma just keep going with the process. So, even though I'm not gon na do a full-on ball cap method, because it's not a frontal, I am still wearing a ball cap just to protect my hair, and I just have it pulled like right before my hairline, I'm gon na go in with some powder Makeup and I always use a shade - no, I just grabbed the wrong shape because, but I always use a shade - that's a little bit darker than my skin tone, just because I feel like that blends um the most evenly like when I use a shade. That'S exactly my skin tone. It'S okay, but - and I definitely don't like to use a shade - that's lighter than my skin tone. I'M not yeah. I'M gon na do darker for the wig cap and then yeah see that's nice, so I relocated again and it's because I'm always trying to find the perfect space to film, but that just simply doesn't exist in this house. So this is where I'm at for right. Now I'm looking over to the side, because I just have a mirror here in front of me and okay - I don't know if I said this already, but I did end up bleaching the knots like a third time and the third time I definitely over bleached it. That'S why it looks a little brassy or like thin at the top. It'S not even thin, it's just blonde or gold Orange. So what I want to try to do, though, is get the hair in order to style Place everything down where I want it to be, but look how pretty this is, and this is just from blow drying like I didn't even flat iron it. Yet I might not even flat iron it because For What oh yeah, what I'm gon na do is take this wax stick! Oh those chunkies, but I'm gon na take the wax stick and I'm not even gon na flat iron it yet like I'm, not even gon na hot comb it. Yet I just wanna um like position the hair all for the lace, so I can go ahead and start the gluing process pull that back boom. I definitely like the way I plug this side better than this side, so I'm gon na try to fix the side. Like this front piece right there or maybe not - because maybe I don't want it to be like too perfect and oh on camera - it looks way better on camera than it does on person. I will say that, but okay and the glue that I'm using the glue that I'm using is the kiss glue the glue that I'm using is the kiss glue. It'S got like the Dual tip, so one side is like a pointy side for you to put the glue exactly where you want it to, and then the other side is like a thicker side for you to spread it out. It'S got like a silicone tip on this side, but there's a hole there too. If you want to just squeeze the glue out of that part, but I always go in with the silicone side first and when you're using one side, you want to make sure you put the cap on the other side or else the glue like, as you start To squeeze the glue will come out of both sides and we don't want that. So I'm a little bit nervous, but I'm gon na go ahead and start applying the glue. I guess I'm gon na put the glue on the cap too. No, do I want to put the blue on the cap. No, I don't want to put the glue on the couch, so just cool along my hairline and, as you can see like all of my real hair, is gelled back so that I don't get glue on it. Put the cap on this side. Oh, I could feel like a little hair sticking in the glue I'm gon na put the cap and then spread the glue and you'll see this glue dries in like 30 seconds, and because it's only a closure and it's not a frontal. I'M not gon na be like mad beasty and put like four or five layers of glue. I might just do like two layers of glue one layer of spray when I've done my hair before I've only ever done reinstalled. So I've never like put the whole lace right on top of the glue. I feel like that will probably be so much easier because when you're doing like a reinstall and the lace is already cut, it's just like so many hairs and flyaways that get into the glue and you're trying to glue around where the lace is already cut. Instead of cutting around where you have the lace glued, the first layer of glue is like all the way dry. Already you don't see any white, you just see like clear and shiny, so I'm gon na go ahead and put another layer of glue on and I'm just spreading it out like creating space between the dots. That way, when I spread it, it will spread nice and evenly, and it's not like goopy and gunky and just Magoo, because that makes it harder for it to dry clear and that's how you end up seeing Like Glue and white stuff through your legs. I think this is going to come out nice like I'm high. I got like my confidence is up right now. I think it's gon na come out cute, especially like for my first time, because you always have to put like that caveat or something like. Oh, I don't really know what I'm doing, I'm not a professional. That'S my first time my purse trying to be like you tired. Look. This glue is like drying up already. You could see um. You could tell the difference now between the white parts and the clear Parts, just like the shininess versus this little spot right there is one and the rest is just shiny all right. I think it's time yes and using oh, I forgot to tint the lace on the closure. I forgot to put makeup on the closure itself. I'M like. Why does this lace look as she liked it, but I could still do that in a second all right boom. So we got that stuff done now. What I'm gon na do is. Let me make sure I got my band right here all right. I got my elastic band right here and I got this even lace, Wonder spray the red one and then I'm just gon na go in hold on I'm just gon na go. I can't see where I'm spraying and spray it. At the same time, now you've got the spray and the glue and then we're gon na go in with the elastic band. Let me move this hair out the way myself a favor move this out the way and then boom go in with the van. I don't think I think this van that they sent me. I don't think, is for this. I think it's supposed to be so um like put on the back of the wig if you want to make it tighter, but I can't find my other bands, so I'm just gon na tie this quickly and yes, it's gon na probably give me a headache for A second but penis Beauty and beauty is pain. All right boom have that tied on there clip out now, I'm just gon na comb out the hair one more time, dang, I didn't know. I had two clips in there already, I'm gon na go through and hot comb, the hair, the um closure, so that it's super flat. So I'm gon na go Section by section, use the wax stick and hot combat, and my hot comb is already heated up. She says you're, my everything, there's no slime foreign, you wanna, you know she don't sing songs, all right. It'S definitely given I'm liking, it so far, and I might just Google install with like no baby hairs, but I obviously have to cut this lace off my head. I know you're the one. That'S not pretend strong welcome yeah. Well, I'm almost done. I just put the band on to allow that last little bit of um spray to like dry and melt in, but overall, like I think, I'm dumb happy and I need to stop doubting myself, because I really do be snapping. When I put my mind to something - and I put effort into it, I think I did a really good job. So now I'm lit like now it's wig mommy for the rest of the winter period. This band is like shortening my forehead, though, and making my eyes this weird, but I'm just gon na clean up like all these hot tools and all this mess that I've made on my floor and then I'll show like the final result. Hey Ray we're gon na. Do the big reveal wait? Should I put some lip gloss on for this? I'M gon na put some lip gloss on for this hold on. Okay, the lip gloss is on. Let'S see, let's see, let's see, let's see how we did y'all. Yes, what is this? Oh, this is just like a little bit of glue. That'S on my skin, but we're gon na, ignore that, because other than that, it's given what it's supposed to get okay, it's giving! I just went and got my hair done. I want to see if I could find something to clean that little bit old foot, but other than that I feel like it came out perfectly. Let me see like other than this side right here, but I'm thinking too, like you know how sometimes when you get your hair done and then you shower and it comes out better, I'm thinking that's all I need to do like. I think that looks so pretty. I think I have to put baby hairs, though, because my forehead looks kind of big. I really wanted to go to bed, but no, I think I have to put baby hairs. I don't know I can't yes, I think I need baby hairs. I think that that will take it like to the next level. So now I'm going to bed yet I'm gon na try that I'm gon na try to be dears is that cute. My head looks big, okay, all right all right! All right! I'M not gon na Panic, I'm not gon na get upset uh. I don't really want to put videos, but I'm gon na foreign looks in like different lighting. This is why I didn't want to film in here, because they're annoying ass, sound drives me crazy. Every hold on, because in this lighting, yes, the baby hairs are still necessary because it's giving wigs like because it's a closure and the way is just like framing my face like this. Like this part, I feel like that baby hairs will help balance it out. So okay hold on. I wish I could baby okay. So personally, I kind of feel like the baby. Arizona made it even worse. I don't know. Maybe I just have to go to sleep and like maybe I just have to go to sleep and like Let It Grow on me or something like that, maybe I'll like it more in the morning, maybe in the morning I'll take three years away. I don't know the videos are actually kind of cute okay, maybe I do like it. Let me go back into this lady, okay yeah. Maybe I do like the baby hairs. Maybe the baby hair is made it cuter, but either way. I'M definitely like super impressed for my first time like I feel like I did a really good job and my camera's about to die. So I got ta go um.
