4 Half Up Styles For Short Hair | W/ Hair Accessories

I recently cut 12 inches off my hair! I am loving it short and I'm excited to share short hair tutorials on here. I'd love to here ideas of what hairstyles you would like for short hair next in the comments!

Hey guys, so if you haven't seen our ready on Instagram, I cut 12 inches off of my hair. It is seriously been so fun. I love it. So much no regrets and I'm so excited to start doing some short hairstyles. So today, I'm gon na be showing for half up hairstyles that I am really loving doing and the first one is this braided half up, I'm gon na start by taking a little section clipping it off, and I parted my hair down the middle and I'm going To take tiny little pieces in front and start doing a Dutch braid crossing the outside strands under the middle, the key to this braid is to keep your hands as close to your scalp as you can. If that's going to keep the braid really tight and that's going to give you the look that we want when I reach the back of my head, I'm gon na continue braiding it a little ways down and put a bobby pin over the braid to hold it In place for my second section, I now have some shorter bangs to frame my face, which can be really hard when I'm trying to pull it all back, so you can first get a little bit of pomade in your hand, if you have this two, and this Will help keep it all down? I find I don't need to as long as I'm taking really small sections. So really, the key is just to take really tiny sections at first starting out, so it's gon na keep those little hairs in as you keep braiding, I'm gon na be keeping my hands close to my scalp and just continue braiding until I reach the back. My arms are gon na fall off on that last braid. I seriously feel like I get a better workout braiding, my hair than going to the gym, sometimes so now that I have my four braids, I'm going to slip out those bobby pins and do a little messy bun, picking up a little more hair and back so I have more hair to work with I'm gon na add a little hair tie to make it look a little more accessorized and, to finish it, I bobby pin the bun down to my head over the scrunchie I like to tease the sides to give more volume In the back - and here is look number one - this next one is going to be a pull-through braid, so you're gon na take one little section, tie it off with an elastic and then make sure you clip it off, so it's not falling over. So you know that you have your two elastics you're gon na take the first ponytail split it in half and bring a second ponytail through I'll clip that second ponytail off. Add that hair into your third ponytail, now you're gon na take the clip out split that hair and to bring the back ponytail forward clip it off. Combine those ponytails into a new section. Take that clip out split it in half bring the back ponytail through tie. It off one more time and then hairspray it. This is really gon na make those little if you have any bangs or anything like that stay in place, and I really like to hold my hand on the hair behind, as I pull apart the front section and I'm just tightening it a little bit more to My head, adding in more hair to the ponytail and then creating a little messy bun, adding an accessory on to the bun I'm noticing this site is sticking out more than I want. So I'm gon na bobby pin that down hairspray it and the men Sall number. Three is going to be a twisted. Hoffa, take the little section, just the front section over the back, add hair to the top twist the front over the back add hair to the top twist the front over the back. So we rolling adding hair into that top section and then I'm just taking a bobby, pin a tiny bit of hair and then pushing it towards the twist to hold it in place for a minute and repeat the same. On the other side, twisting the front section over the back section, adding hair to the top and twisting the front over the back. Once I reach the back of my head, I'm gon na take off that bobby, pin and combine both of the twists into a little ponytail, and then I'm just gon na very slightly pull on the twist. I just want it to be more pronounced and then pull on the top to get some volume do the same on the other side and then to finish this look off. I like to take a little section of hair next to the ponytail wrap it around. The ponytail and bobby pin it underneath pushing the bobby pin up, and this is the finished look for the twist. You can also add a clip if you want make it look a little more fancy style number. Four, I'm going to part my hair just slightly off-centre, and this is how I like to curl my bangs, I like to bring the curling iron forward. So I'm really getting that hair to frame my face, and I like to leave the ends out and I want my hair to be a little less curly. So I'm just going over it with a curling iron. Just straighten it a little bit in this one. I'M gon na add some extensions, just one little weft it's long. This is just gon na create a really full bun. But of course you can just do the same fun as I was doing in the other ones, I'm leaving my bangs out and then tying it off in a ponytail. I'M also leaving a slight part in the ponytail. For this look, tease it just a little bit and just twist it around until it creates a button sheet bobby. Pin it down, get my hair accessory, put it over the ponytail i bobby, pin just the edges down to my head here is style number four. Thank you so much for watching.
