Let'S go over all the materials that you will need to make these twisting hair accessories. First, you will need the pieces for your hair accessories. Here I have a selection of floral picks, which I got at Hobby Lobby, and here is a very nice silver one with two silver leaves. This will be my main clip. Then I have two of these small floral picks of three little small flowers, each which I will use to actually make these things that will actually twist in my hair. Lastly, I have a collection of these tiny floral picks in matching color. That will be the embellishment for my clip something like so then you will also need several tools in order to make the wire for the twist in hair accessories. First of all, you will need just these flat up pliers that you can get at any home. Supply store, I got these out of my husband's toolbox to grasp the wire and to be able to work it effectively. You will also need these round nose, pliers, which I got at Michaels or you can get them at any craft store that has jewelry making supplies. These will allow you to make the loops necessary to complete the spirals in the past and hair accessories, and last of all, you need these side cutters. You can see that they are flush here for cutting your wire off the spool and of course you will need some wire here. I have just some 20 gauge silver color wire. I got this at Michael's or you can get this at Hobby Lobby as well or any store where they sell jewelry making supplies. I chose silver, so they would match the color of the flowers that I picked, but you can also get brown wire. If you have brown hair or you get gold wire, if you have blonde hair so that it would match your hair color, I found that this is not really an issue, because you can't really see the twisted hair accessories once you actually twist them into your hair. Now that we have all our tools assembled, it is time to get going see in a bit. Okay, now that we have all our tools and materials assembled, let's get started. The first thing that we're going to do is we're going to separate the the small flow or floral picks from there from each other. You will see that they have this kind of white tape that is around the stems and the fastest way to undo them is to gently pull on the stems to separate them from each other. Sometimes this won't work, so you will have to kind of rip the tape off of the stems you, okay. So now we have our three little floral picks that are separated from each other and we are ready to prepare the wire for these bad boys, and so I'm going to use some silver colored wire. Although you can use any other color wire, I use 20 gauge since I find that it's the easiest to work with, but you can also use maybe a 16 gauge if you want something a bit more sturdy, but I have found that 20 gauge works pretty well With my hair, okay, so the first thing that we need to do when making a spiral is we are going to make a small loop at the very end of our wire using our round nose pliers like so when I am making spirals, I like to leave It on the spool, since I'm never quite sure, exactly how much a length I will need of wire, and I also have the option of holding the wire by the spool, which is a little bit more comfortable. You'Ll, see what I mean in a second. Then we are taking our flat flat pliers and gently rolling the wire around itself in kind of a loose spiral pattern. It doesn't have to be too tight since we are about to pull it apart. There we go. This is exactly what we want now. We can take our cutters and trim the wire here. So now what we are going to do is we are going to pull out the wire like I have done here in order to create the spiral so that you can put this into your hair and twist in the flower. So, in order to do that, I like to use my round nose. Pliers stick the end of them right in the middle of the spiral that you made and then holding it by the ends. Gently start pulling them in opposite directions like so you might also choose to slightly curved this piece, n-word that you cut, but otherwise this is looking pretty good. Now we are going to thread this a flower into the spiral I would like to start by going into the center of the spiral the little loop that we made in the beginning, pull it all the way up, pull that little stem out, so we can um More easily wrap it around and basically there is no formula for doing this correctly. You just wrap the stem around the wire in any way. That makes it very secure because you don't want these guys falling out of your hair. You can wrap it around the second layer of the wire um. You can then go wrap it around some more. You have a lot of stem to work with, so don't stress out too much about this part. It is mostly just just so. We can hold that flower pick and place with the wire very simple and just keep going like this in a random fashion. Until you have attached um the flower to your wire now, you might notice that it's kind of floppy you can flop around the flower while holding the wire. This is okay, because once you twist it actually into your hair, you can twist it um in all the way, and then your hair will hold the flower in place, so it actually won't be floppy when you are wearing it, and here we go now, you make The rest of them uh the breasts um, two or three depending on. If you want to have how many small ones you want to make you make them in the same fashion, you
