Hello guys today, I'm gon na be making one of these lovely Christmas feasts and a buckle bows with this lovely white marabou feather fur coming out from the sides to make these. You will need a ribbon in red and this is an inch wide ribbon and also a black 1 inch wide ribbon. You will also need 10 millimeter wide ribbon or it's just under half an inch. So I know some people for working in inches. Just under half an inch or 10 millimeter, 1 centimeter wide in a black and a red, these sliders ribbon sliders. They have a rhinestone effect. I'Ve got these from Aliexpress. There are 10 minima, 10 millimeter wide ribbon sliders. If you search on Aliexpress or even eBay or probably got them 10 millimeter wide ribbon sliders what you want to look for, you can get ones of real rhinestones. In that, I thought that the rhinestone effect one went better with the rhinestone effect ribbon, which is what I use on their tails. So that's what I went for this one's don't affect ribbon. I got this from my local craft shop. The range I believe you can get this probably cheap enough for me by or Aliexpress, and that is just called a rhinestone effect mesh ribbon you'll also need a lighter, a ruler. Obviously these 45 millimeter double prong Clips is what I'm using today. You can use any clip. You prefer so, first of all take your wedge 10 millimeter wide ribbons, and you want to cut two pieces at 7 inches in then for my board. The all these squares are an inch, so I'm using my board to measure out 17 and then taking your lighter, just heat, see all those ends just to prevent any Brian with the ribbon. I have a cut that too straight, but that won't matter too much. You won't see that so once you've got your two pieces of ribbon at 7, inches 7 inches and 7 inches. You will then need a hot glue gun. I forgot to mention that earlier excuse the mess of mine, it's a old one, because my newer one flew last week. So I've got my old one out and I'm just using that for now, so you need to dab a little bit of glue just on the end of that ribbon and then make that into a loop by just slightly overlap in the ends now. For this part, I just like to give that a little bit of a wriggle just to make that supple. So I was easier to make that pinch, because if you put the glue on too thick in this knob and that kind of sets hard it's hard to get a nice pinch. So that's why I tend to give that a little bit of a wriggle. Do the same with the second piece make that into a loop just slightly overlap it and give that a little bit of a wriggle house? That'S it! So once you have your two loops you're ready to make the pinch now, I forgot to mark the halfway before I glued the loop. So you can do that now that don't matter too much just pop your finger where you glued it together and just make a little crease at the top there and then you're ready to make your pinch, I'm going to use black cotton to secure my pinch. I'M just going to take a length of black cotton off of the real and then using this crease that you've just made line it up with the join, make sure that's nice and straight on both sides, and we just need a double pinch in this. Just to pinch so to do that, you want to go down in the middle and then you bring both the sides downwards and using your thread pop that into the center and your thumb and pull that through just will leave a tail ready to tie and then We'Re going to lap that around a few times just to hold that securely in place and tie it off, and then you can cut off that excess piece of cotton and there you have your first piece with the pension. Well, we want to repeat the same process with the second loop, so we're going take a piece of thread pop my finger where the fart, where the joint is and just make a crease mark the center join the crease up with the join and line it up. Push down in the middle and then either side fold over and down like so take your thread place it under your thumb and then what's the glue then give that a pulse you've just got enough time where to tie it off making sure the central wrap that Around the center a few times to hold that pinch and just tie that off and cut excess ribbon of cotton, should I say so there you have your two pieces now we're going to join these two pieces together again, I'm going to use my black legs, which I'Ll just put down here, it is take another piece of your black thread and I'm just gon na fold that back a bit and fold this one back, and this is where we're going to join these two together. So I'm going to just put a piece of glue along that Center and put these two together. Don'T worry too much about lining up the thread, because that might be ever so slightly. Off-Center now concentrate on line and up these end, rather than the thread in the middle, because the thread you won't see once you've got the other Center wrapped on. So I'm concentrating on lining up these ends, rather than the thread that won't show. Okay, so you've got this now to hold that together, I'm just going to use another piece of thread to make sure that that's not going to come apart. Some people use cable ties to hold their pins together or wire, but at least with this thread, that's nice and thin as cheap as anything. So you can use as much as you like, and I just find that gives a neat finish. If you do every single little piece of a bit Fred that just holds up nicely in place, and it's not too bulky either when you finish making your bow and you wrap the center, though you're not left with any bulk at all. So the thread is ideal for holding those pinchers, so this is what you've got so far. The next job I'll show you on this we're going to cut out these tails so taken your ribbon. You need two pieces at four inches wide, so here we have our two pieces that four inches wide. I haven't bothered heaps even these ends yet because I need to cut them in two points. You'Ll also need a piece of black the same length, four inches. So I'm just going to use that to measure roughly so a piece of back also but four inches cut about just over that. Don'T matter too much now taking your tail, you want to cut this into a v-shape at the end. So to do that, I'm folding it over and then from this outer edge. You want to just cut diagonally like so and then, while you've got that in your hand, just release that pinch, a little bit's was not touch and you don't melt it together. Take your lighter and heat seal. The end, like so repeat the same with all of your tail pieces, nice one. So now we've got our three tail pieces at four inches with the v-shaped cut in the end and heat sealed off. So now we're going to take our red pieces and we're going to cross them over. You want to leave quite a big space here, because you're going to have the back piece going across the center, so quite a good, strong X shape you want on there. It'S supposed to do that, I'm going to just place a bit of glue in the center and cross that piece over the top, like so making sure that that's nice and straight and again, I'm just going to give that a bit of a wiggle to make sure That us, nice and supple, or when we make the pinch next you're, going to take your back piece and place that across the center bit the glue on there and now you're back across the middle and then we're ready to make a pinch in this. So they're going taking a piece of your black thread or whichever color thread you're using take your tails and we're going to do the same as we did with the loops of the bow, we're going to go down in the middle and then push either side down. Now don't worry too much about this look and all folded over that will all come out once you've tied the thread round so again place on that thread across them in don't let her making sure you've got enough tile to tie off wrap that around the center And then take your two ends and tie that off cut off the excess cotton, and then you can shape that out a little bit and there you have your tails ready to place your bow on the top. Next, you want to grab your loops, which you made earlier and we're going to turn that over to the underside and place some glue on that Center, and then you want to line that up on your tails. Just hold up there for a few seconds. Let that sit, so this is what you've got so far. The next we're ready to add the hair clip onto the bottom. So now we need our ten millimeter wide red ribbon and this piece, I've cut off ready, is five inches in length. These squares are all an inch and then so I'll show you on my rulers. You can see it as well. She can't quite see it on the camera. This was five inches in then I'm just gon na heat seal, the ends right, I've cut it and I've got a forty five millimeter double prong clip which I'm going to use this to line. So I'm going to place some glue just less than half way and then on the underside of the clip, starting just before, where these double prime of end and then pushing it into the clip where you pinch it all the way around. And then you don't need to glue this, so you can't see you don't need to glue this piece here, because this piece, when you stick it over, will hold that bit down so run your glue down the length of the ribbon and just carefully fold that under You do tend to get a lot of stringy bits of hot glue, this that can't be helped. Unfortunately, so there's your lined clip now we're going to place some glue just along the top part here, but not on the part that you pinched. I always leave the part here which you pinch free and then you place that on the bottom of your hair, bow in the center sighs. Next, you will need your 10 millimeter black ribbon. You also need your ribbon slider rustic house, we'll get another one out. So your ribbon slider - and you want to turn this upside down pop your ribbon in through the bottom and then up and over through the next slot, and then that will sit on that bow like that. Making sure you've got the diamond effect or the diamond II rhinestone if you've got the rhinestone one facing upwards. This is what the underside looks like and then we're going to place this around the centre of our hair babe. So I'm going to making sure that stray. I'M going to place some glue going right across to that slider and put that on my bow, nice and central, I'm just going to hold that in place for a few seconds, so that can take so once you're happy that thus held in place. We can then turn this over and we're going to wrap our tails around the inside of our clip. So I'm just going to measure how much I need to cut off and you needs a little bit off the end, careful not to cut your bow or only cut in this middle part. Now, just heat seal that end, so I'm trimming it so that will fit round this bow sorry man, this clip here without overlapping. So that's why I've just trim this end within a place bead of glue along that end and wrap that around the inside of our clip. Excuse all these stringy bits. This is a such an old hot glue gun, it's not the best and then this end I'll need to cut off another little piece just to make that fit. You wrap that around underneath or clip and then once that's on there, god címon oil once that's on there. You can just give that a little bit of a pull over on those tiles to get the shape back, and this is the main part of the bow. Now complete and then we're just gon na add the trims around these tails and the fare. So next you need your diamond tea effect. Trim ribbon. I'Ve cut these off in little strips of three. As you can see, you get these little tails of cotton around the edges, so I'm gon na very carefully use my lighter just to go near that and just melt those down to attach these little dime any trims to the red tails of my bows. I use gemstone glue. This is made by hemline and I got this from my local supermarket, but any kind of sort of gemstone fabric glue will work. You probably could use hot glue, but I find that this just sticks little things like this to ribbon. That sticks. It really well, unless that says on there, that it's washable glue for glass, bead, gemstones, pearls, sequins rhinestones, so that it's very good it does the job. So I'm gon na on my tails place this glue. Now this tends to sometimes get a bit blocked. So I'll keep a pin there by and I just Pierce that the nozzle just to make that come out a little bit easier. So I'll pop the glue on like this and then I take the little gemstones and gently lay them on there and line them up. This glue takes a good, a good few hours to say it, but that is a very strong hold once I set so we'll leave them on there. Don'T worry too much about this bit of ribbon showing you could always use a lawyer when the glue is dry and just melt this down, like I did these, i melted the ribbon down so that was in line with the diamond, is so I'll leave that to Dry, so don't worry too much about this excess ribbon here and you want to do the same on all the red tiles. So this is what we have now. If the diamond, you trim added to the tails next, we're ready to add our fair and the fair I'll show you on this one. We add that, just underneath, on top of the black tile and underneath the top two loops, the fur is actually a marabou feather trim, which I bought from eBay. It was about 99 P for a meter in length, and I prefer to rather than cut and stick it on that's a bit too much. I prefer to pull little bits off if you just grab the marabou feather and just give it a little pull little bits of feather just to come off there like. So it's probably more than enough for one side and then I just lift up these top two loops using your hot glue gun place a blob of hot glue just under there, and then you can start taking your little feathers and just placing them where you pop That hot glue just placing them on there, so they sort of come out. Words lay in the sort direction from underneath those top tails. I'M just gon na have a look to see what looks like so far. So you let's say that's probably enough. You just want a little bit sticking out either side, and that just gives the impression of like this reminds me of Santa's buckle, and this reminds me of like Santa's beard or his moustache. So I just want a little bit like that poking out either sides now we're ready to do the other side. The same so I'll use some of them pieces there plus. I might need a little bit more, so I'll pull a little bit more off. It is quite a fiddly little hair bow, but that is quite a popular one or found what I've done craft there's a lot of people do complement this hair bow because it is just super Christmasy. So, on the other side, we're going to place the bead of glue and start adding all it all bits of feather. I'M just doing this to get rid of any loose bits that aren't stuck yeah, that's more than enough that side and when you do this, you might find that this side looks more solid on this side, but you can always go back if you feel that way. A little bit of glue on there and you can just add a few little bits in no problem to fill that out place things better over here coming out there just to make that bit a little bit fuller, a messy job. This is so yeah. You get! The idea how to make this bow and there's the finished hair bow. As you can see, it's super Christmasy and it's really pretty for this time of year. I hope you've enjoyed this tutorial. You'Ve got any questions pop them in the comments below and I'll do my best to get back to you. Thank you. Bye. You
