( cheery guitar, music, ), Hi, everyone. It'S me Anne. And today I have a very, very special guest. Mindy from Cute Girls, Hairstyles., Hey everyone. I can't believe she made it., I'm so excited.. I'M super excited that you're here. Can you tell my viewers about your channel? It'S kind of self explanatory on my channel Cute Girls Hairstyles. We do lots of hair, show you hair tutorials for women and children of all ages. Check us out. We do braids flips twists, ponytails, you name it. It'S there. Yes and you're, going to do my hair right after this tutorial right Yes. Over on her channel.. Definitely don't forget to check out Mindy's channel after this tutorial., So today, Mindy's going to help me make a few hair jewelry pieces and hair bows.. So we're going to recycle some old ties right, here. And also we're going to recycle some necklaces and turn it into hair jewelry., [, Mindy, ], Hair jewelry., It's very popular right, now. [, Anne ] Yes.. So let's skip right into this., Okay, guys so Mindy and I are going to go over the materials.. So basically, what I have over here, I have some old chains and all you will need are some bobbypins and I will be using some jump rings.. You call them O-Rings., [, Mindy ]. I call them O-Rings. [ Anne ]. You can find these at Hobby Lobby. [ Mindy, ], Michaels JoAnns, where I live. [ Anne ]. This is not necessary unless you have small chains and you can't fit it through this right. Here. Then, I would recommend getting some jump: rings. [ Mindy ] As a connector. [ Anne ]. So let's just start with something very basic.: I'm going to use this chain right here.. The first thing you want to do is kind of determine your length and then just cut it.. If you want this, is your pair of scissors. [, Mindy, ], Awesome., [ Anne ] Just go ahead and cut one chain.. I left my pliers at home, so we're going to have to deal with this. [ Mindy ] Improvise with our scissors here. [ Anne ]. I'M not sure exactly how this is going to cut. [ Mindy ] Got it. [ Anne ]. I did a good job.. Okay yay., So here's two jump rings for you. [, Mindy, ], Lovely., [, Anne ], Two for me., Okay. So I'm going to have to use my fingers. We're going to have to use our fingers and open the jump rings now., And what you're going to do is put it at the end of each chain.. Oh you're fast.. Once you have that in the chain, then you're going to loop it into your bobby pin., [, Mindy, ], Bobby pin., [, Anne ] And then close it.. It'S that easy.. It'S all! You have to do. [ Mindy ]. Oh you see. I closed mine, mine and then I just put my bobby pin through. [ Anne ]. Oh yeah, you could do that too., [, Mindy ], So either way will work. Just fine. [, Anne ], Exactly., [, Mindy, ], Voila, love it., So easy. [, Anne ]. So we're going to make three. It's fun to mix it like mix, different textures and different designs. Together., You can really have fun with it.. If you want to go for a more casual look, then you could just stick to the chains and if you want something more fancy then find some chains like this. [, Mindy, ] Pearls or some little jewels, something with a little shimmer. [ Anne ]. That would be cute. Okay, so let's jump into the bows. Okay guys. So this is one of my favorite tutorials to do.. It'S just so simple, because you could recycle this into something new re-purpose this., [, Mindy ]. I love this.. I have never even seen this out of ties. [ Anne ]. Do you have any ties from Shawn? You can recycle [ Mindy ]. Are you kidding [ Mindy ]? Yes, tons., [, Anne ], Okay. So basically, what I do is I usually use the end of the tie and just kind of determine how wide I want the bow to look., Basically something about four inches wide., That's something I want to go: for. [, Mindy, ], Okay., [, Anne ], I'm just Going to go ahead and clip this., So, as you can see, this end is a lot wider than this end.. So what I would usually do is, I would just fold it in a little bit, take some hot glue. My viewers always make fun of me for using a glue gun for my projects. They're, like `` Anne. What would she'' do without the glue gun, ?'' So funny so cute.? Okay, so once that glue's dry, what I'm going to do now is just fold this, in just like that., Add a little glue right. There, keep it in place., Really really easy. And then, with the other part of the tie. All you need is basically enough to wrap around this. [ Mindy ] Wrap around it., No more tie. [ Anne ], No more tie.! You just need to cut a second piece.. So next part you just need to kind of pinch it in like that. [ Mindy ], Wrap it around. [ Anne ], Wrap this part around. And guess what glue it again. Glue it. Together. [, Mindy ]! I'M amazed! You don't burn yourself, I'm terrible at that.! [, Anne ], Oh I do., I'm just like used to it.. I can tolerate it. Now. So just hold it together as tight as you can until it dries.. Do it right yes., It's a little bulky, but you can always cut off extra materials. If you don't like that. And then you can just use any hair clip like this. Glue it onto the hairclip. [ Mindy, ], JoAnn's, Michaels Hobby Lobby, just sell the actual silver clip part.. You could use that too. [ Anne ] Tips from the hair genie.. All I did was add glue to the hair clip and I glue it on. And that's basically it. It's pretty simple [ Mindy ]. I love it. Straightforward., Okay, so we are all done making these fun hair accessories. Thank you so much Mindy for helping me, and I cannot wait for you to play with these. On my hair. They're going to look adorable.. I seriously need some new styling., So you guys don't forget to come over to Mindy's channel Cute Girls Hairstyles and subscribe and watch the video to see what she's going to do to my hair. See you in a few. Yeah
