Hey everyone welcome back. My name is Shannon Arecibo plates hairstyle and because Holly is coming up really soon. I'Ve got two of my favorite YouTube girls here with me to show you how to make several DIY hair accessories, I'm here with roxy from roxyrockstv and Nicole from Nicola Matthews makeup and we're going to do three different DIY hair accessories for you today, they're simple and Not expensive, so you can do them pretty fast, no matter what your crafting abilities are and you can wear them to the office to school, whatever you need, where you can wear a full-on Halloween costume, but you still want to have the spirit of the holidays. So if you're ready, let's get started, we'll start with the quickest accessory to make. This is a little bow that clips into the hair and resembles a bat for this you'll need some stiff black fabric. In our case, we're using fake leather you'll also need a blank hair, barrette scissor thread a needle or glue gun for holding everything together and a pattern to cut out of the fabric. The pattern looks like this: you can either draw your own like this, since it's a fairly simple shape, or I also have a link in the description box of this video to an image on my website with the pattern on it, so that you can print it Home start by cutting a strip off the fabric, that's about a centimeter wide next use pins to secure the pattern to the fabric and cut around the paper to get the same shape in the fabric. When you have the shape cut out form it into a bow shape by first folding, it inward, along its long middle axis, an American elementary school. We called this folding hotdog style, then fold the flaps on either side down to the same level as the center fold. With your needle and thread put a few stitches through these folds to hold them in place or use your hot glue gun now position the bat on top of the blank barrette grab your extra strip of cloth and drape it over the center of the bat tuck. It through the barrette, so the bat umbra are held tightly together and sew or glue the edges of the cloth strip together. Underneath the bow clip off any extra length and there we go you've got a bat bow accessory. Nicole is modeling this for us to see how it looks in the hair. It'S so adorable, don't you think now I'm going to show you how to make this Halloween themed, clip-in bouquet, I'm not actually sure what this would really be called because got all these layers of feathers and fabric flowers. But I like complexity of texture like this, so I enjoy wearing this accessory and hopefully you will to start with all the layers of fabric. You want to use cut into varying circle and oval shapes you can get creative with what kind of fabrics and colors used specifically. For me, I have a pad of feathers, a small circle of black sparkly tulle, some orange ribbon and black felt to make an orange fabric flower and then this black organza flower, with a pearl in the middle for the final touch to make the fabric flower. I cut a small circle out of the felt and then lay the beginning of the orange ribbon on one side, put a few stitches in to hold the ribbon there and then fold it forward and back again to make a pleat stitch. This pleat a couple times to the felt as well move down the length of the ribbon attend and make another pleat stitching. The ribbon in place continue pleading and sewing this ribbon all the way around the circle. When you get back to where you started, cut the ribbon fold, the raw edge under and sew in place, and now just sew all the layers of fabric together for your accessory make sure the bigger layers are underneath the smaller ones. So they can peak around the outside finally sew or hot glue. This bouquet to a blank hair, clip here's a shot of my finished Halloween, hair accessory. Finally, Roxy is going to show you how to make a spiderweb headband start with a circle of see-through fabric, a smaller circle of felt craft wire matching thread, a blank headband and an optional pipe cleaner for making a tiny spider to add to the web. If you want, starting with the craft wire, cut off three lengths that are as long as the diameter of your sheer fabric circle using craft wire will help the web keep its shape in the final look, arrange them on the fabric, so they cross in the center And are evenly spaced apart at the edges, sew them in the center. So they're steady, now you're going to make the connecting part of the spiderweb with this thread on the outside just before the very ends of the wire. So one wire edge to the fabric with a couple stitches then push the needle and thread through the fabric. So they're, on top bring it in a straight line over to the end of the next wire and also sew this one to the fabric, with a couple stitches bring the thread across the top of the fabric again to the next wire and so on. So this way so there's a circle of thread running all around the outside edge of the fabric and connecting all the wires cut and tie off the thread when you finish the circle Bend the end of the wire over the thread to keep them out of your Hair and to keep the stitches from slipping off the ends of the wire make another thread circle. A little distance inwards in the circle use the same procedure of stitching the wire to the fabric. A couple times bring the thread across the top of the fabric to the next wire, and so on do one more circle inside of this, so you have three concentric layers of thread for your web: to make your little spider cut five small pieces out of your Pipe cleaner lay for them together and tightly winds. The fifth one around the middle of these four then bend each end of the pipe cleaners out. So you can see four distinct legs on each side of the body set this little guide to your spider web. So we can't fall off. Finally, so our hot glue gun the smaller circle of felt to the centre of the back of your web and then glue this to your headband in an off-center position and here's your finished spider web headband, complete with tiny little spider. I hope you liked this video and that you liked everything that we made today. We also carved pumpkins and try it out Halloween candy on Roxy's channel.
