hello everyone! happy upcoming lunar new year’s and valentine’s day! ❣️ today i have 6 cute and easy 5 minute chinese inspired hairstyles. these are the perfect blend between traditional and modern chinese styles and are perfect to be worn with qipao or even casual hanfu! i hope you enjoyed this video and have a wonderful and safe LNY!!! i’m very excited to celebrate! i’m going to wear my new qipao and eat a lot of food with a full face of makeup and then play genshin impact for 6 hours lolol
also originally i wanted to include some requests for hairstyles inspired by characters like xie lian from tian guan xi fu, but those looks didn’t really fit in the overall video. so maybe another anime or game inspired hairstyle tutorial is due soon? anyway next week’s video is going to be a VERY dramatic hair color transformation. i actually can’t wait to share with you guys… it’s sooo ridiculous how cute it turned out here’s a little hint…

Hello, everyone. So today i have six super easy, five minute hairstyles that are perfect. For lunar new years. I took a lot of inspiration from ancient chinese, traditional hairstyles in the methods that i used from the little braids to the loops. The hairstyles in this video are a perfect mix and match between traditional and modern and they're. All super cute all really easy to do and they're absolutely perfect to be worn with kpo. So i hope you guys enjoyed this video and i hope everyone has a really amazing lunar new years, also stay tuned until the end of the video for a special valentine's day, giveaway. So, first off my new hair, color um, i'm actually in between salon appointments. So i have this like really wild, like 16 different tones of silver going on. I know it looks pretty crazy, but it's not permanent, so i started off with my hair a little bit wavy. Just because again, i wanted it to look a little bit more modern. But if you do this with straight hair, you end up getting a bit more of a traditional look. So it's up to you so for our first hairstyle, i'm leaving down a really tiny piece of hair right in front of my ear and then i'm pulling back the rest of my hair from the tip of my ear to the top of my head and i'm Securing this off with an elastic then taking my pigtail, i'm folding it in half and i'm crossing it over itself in the back then taking another elastic, i'm securing this in place. So it's kind of like if you were to pull your hair in a ponytail. But you don't pull it through the entire way and then looping my fingers through the center, i'm taking a bobby pin and i'm pinning the hair down close to the elastic and then i'm accessorizing with some chinese hair clips and that's actually it for this hairstyle. I think that it probably took less than five minutes, but i love how adorable this looks. It'S so easy to do. It just creates these cute little loopies, honestly. If it was year of the dog. I think this would be really perfect because it looks like little puppy ears for our next hairstyle. It utilizes the same method of creating the little hair loops. So, first i'm starting off with two high pigtails and then again i'm taking one of my pigtails and i'm giving it a little twist outwards in the direction of my curl and then i'm pulling it over itself over the elastic and then letting the hair hang behind. And then again, i'm taking a second elastic and i'm securing this in place, and then i'm repeating on the other side and using the little twist outwards definitely helps the hair stay in place a little bit better. Then, with the remaining hair, that's hanging downwards. I am doing a simple three stranded braid on both sides and then taking the braid, i'm looping it upwards and then i am pinning this in place underneath the bun close to the elastic. So you can't really see the bobby pin adding some matching plum, blossom accessories and that's it for this hairstyle. I have to say that this is actually my favorite hairstyle in this entire video. I feel like it's just so adorable. It looks very youthful with the double buns and, at the same time it looks so unique. I think that this actually might be my own lunar new year's hairstyle for this year for our next hairstyle. Again, i'm starting off with two small pigtails and then taking one of my pigtails, i'm splitting that in half and i'm going to be creating two three stranded. Braids and then i'm repeating on the other side, so i have four small braids in total, then taking my two braids, i'm making sure that they're all facing the right direction. You don't want it to be all twisted up and then i'm looping it backwards and i'm going to pin it in place underneath the elastic and then i'm repeating. On the other side again, i am accessorizing with the same plum, blossom clips. These are just my favorite hair clips right now. I feel like they're so cute, and it also has this detachable dangly little bit, which i think is really charming and that's it for this hairstyle, then for our next hairstyle again, i'm starting off with my two pigtails and then i'm going to be braiding off each Pigtail into a regular three strand, braid and then taking my braid, i'm looping it around itself and coiling it around itself until you have sort of like a hollow braided bun, and this is totally different from doing a braid and collapsing it into a bun. This one is more hollow so that it looks like it has a bigger fluffier appearance. Not everyone has like a lot of hair and hair volume, so this is definitely a really great way to mimic having a lot of hair and just taking some bobby pins. I am securing this in place, then taking some small pink ribbon. I am wrapping it around my bun and then recently i've been obsessed with accessorizing with hair pins, so i'm just taking a floral hair pin and i'm adding this in the center of my looped buns and that's it for this hairstyle and even if you decided to Just do a regular braided bun. You can still use this method of wrapping a ribbon around it and putting in a hairpin, and it has this really nice chinese inspired, look to it for our next hairstyle. I still have my two pigtails in three strand braids and i'm taking one of my pigtails and i'm folding it in threes in on itself, and then you can see how i'm sort of shaping it with my fingers so that one of the loops on the top Of my head is a little bit smaller than the loop on the bottom and then taking any sort of hair clip or hair claw. You can just hold this in place super easily and then i'm repeating this on the other side, and that is it for this half updo hairstyle. I personally don't think this looks that great on me, because my hair is really long. So i think that these loopies are just kind of big kind of ridiculous, so i think this is definitely a hairstyle for people with maybe medium length, hair, short hair. I think it would look really dainty and adorable, then for our last hairstyle i am starting off with a small french braid up until i reach my ear and then using some floral claw clips, i'm adding these in three to pull back my hair and then i'm Going to repeat on the other side - and you can definitely wear your hair like this - it looks amazing already, but i'm just going to finish it off with a regular three strand braid and then i'm tying it off with an elastic and adding some matching floral hair Clips at the end, and that's it for this final hairstyle, while it's simple, i also really like this one. I think just the use of these floral claw clips gives it a really nice and intricate look. I just think the symmetry is really pleasing to look at, and that is it for this video.
