Hello guys welcome back to my channel today, i'm gon na be sharing all of my hair, washing hacks. So by the end of this video, you are gon na know how to wash your hair properly and i'm sure you're thinking. How can washing your hair even be that complicated? I take it from someone who literally used to use vo5 shampoo every single day, hair washing, can make or break your hair before we get into this video make sure to subscribe to my channel. If you like, hair videos, and also you can follow me on instagram and tiktok, if you are not already the first few hacks that i have are all pre shampoo treatments, my first hair washing hack is to do an argan oil hair mask before shampooing. So, to do this, i use cliganix argan oil. I take three tablespoons of argan oil and i just massage it all over my scalp, so argan oil helps to hydrate and soften your hair, and it also makes your hair a lot shinier and less frizzy. So once i'm done applying it into my hair, i wait an hour and then i just shampoo and condition, and it is that easy. The next hair washing hack that i do is good old, rice water. So i use rice water to grow my hair, but it also works well to smooth out my hair as long as i don't use it too often, by the way i will have my updated rice water recipe at the very end of this video, so to use Rice, water - i just pour it into a large bowl in the shower, and i put my head over the bowl and with a cup i pour the rice water all over my hair, i massage it into my scalp. I also massage it all throughout my hair shaft and i keep the rice water in my hair for about an hour. I then rinse it out and condition after rice, water tends to dry out my hair. So lately i've just been skipping shampoo afterwards, just to avoid any hair dryness, frizziness and stuff, like that, my next hair washing hack is to use a hair mask before shampooing. So these herbal essence hair masks are my personal favorite to use a hair mask. I just wet my hair and then i just apply the hair mask everywhere throughout my hair. I leave it in for 10 minutes and then i rinse it out and shampoo and condition as usual. So i like doing a hair mask because it helps my hair to feel a lot smoother after i'm done washing it, and it also reduces any tangling that might happen while shampooing that can lead to hair breakage. The next hack that i have is to condition first and then shampoo and then condition again, so i definitely would not recommend this for an everyday wash. But if you find that your hair is really dry or frizzy, this can work almost as like a hair mask to smooth everything out before you then go in with shampoo, so another tip i have is to make sure that you brush out your hair before you Shampoo it this way when you do shampoo and condition your hair, you won't risk yanking, your hair to get the conditioner through it, which, as i mentioned before, can lead to hair breakage. So the next few hacks that i have are all things that can be done. While shampooing and conditioning your hair, so the first hack that i have is great for those who want to add some volume to their hair - and this is to wash your hair upside down - i guess technically, this isn't upside down it's more like sideways, but anyway this May sound crazy and it did to me at first, but it actually helps to make your hair more voluminous because you're not dragging down your hair, like you do when you wash your hair right side up and if you can't handle both shampooing and conditioning your hair Sideways like this, and you can just condition sideways since conditioner can weigh down your hair, so it really helps to reverse that effect. I highly recommend that you look into getting a shower filter, so this helps with your hair because it eliminates pollutants in water that can contribute to hair loss and hair frizziness and hair dryness. Ever since i have started to use a shower filter, my hair has been a lot softer and less frizzy, the one that i use is just from amazon. It has like a ton of positive reviews and i will link it below in the description. I also recommend that you guys get a detachable shower head. Not only do these reduce your use of water because they make rinsing things off of your hair and body a lot easier and a lot faster. Also, they help to ensure that the majority of product used on your hair is rinsed off, since you can bring the shower head close to your hair, and an added benefit is that they are also really relaxing. The next hack is to use a scalp massager scalp massagers are not only relaxing to use like the detachable shower head, but they are also a great way to shampoo your hair, so the bristles help to remove excess buildup on your scalp that can weigh down your Hair and one study that i found even showed that scalp massagers can increase hair thickness by stretching the cells of the hair follicles. The next tip is something that i still sometimes don't do, but this tip is just to make sure that you aren't using too much shampoo. So, using a lot of shampoo can strip the natural oils from your hair and also when you're shampooing make sure to rub the shampoo between your hands before you apply it in your hair to emulsify it. You also want to make sure that you are only shampooing. Your roots, this is where you can get a lot of product buildup oil buildup. So it's where you really need to be cleaning and you don't need to shampoo the ends of your hair. Another shampoo hack i have is to use an anti or clarifying shampoo once every few weeks, depending on how often you wash your hair. This is especially helpful if you use a lots of products in your hair. You can also just shampoo twice with your regular shampoo. Instead of using a clarifying shampoo again, i would not recommend this for every wash, but it's definitely an option if you don't have or if you don't want to get or use a clarifying shampoo, so one condition or hack i have is to wring out your hair Before you apply conditioner, this allows the conditioner to penetrate your hair as much as possible, while your hair is still damp. So if your hair is soaking wet, then when you go to apply conditioner, it's going to be really hard to soak in all the moisturizing properties of the conditioner. Also, you want to make sure to condition only the ends of your hair. When you're done washing your hair, you want to make sure to clip it up, so i've actually gotten a lot of back acne from letting conditioner run down. My back so i just always make sure to wash my hair before i wash my body, and i always clip up my hair when i'm done washing it. Another super important tip is to make sure that you aren't washing your hair too often, so i wash my hair every two to three days. This is what day three hair looks like for me. I'Ve spent a lot of time training my hair, to be able to get it to the point where i can go three days without washing it and if you wash your hair every day and can't imagine ever washing your hair every three days. I found this really good picture online. That kind of lays out a good routine to start following to try to train your hair to go longer in between washes. So one of my last hair, washing hacks is to make sure that you comb out your hair with a wide tooth comb after you wash it and then finally, you want to make sure that you are drying your hair with one of these microfiber towels. So the brand that i use is terbi twist, but they seriously have so many different brands that you can use. You can also just use a t-shirt. You just don't want to use one of those really thick towels, because when you put your hair up in a really thick and fluffy towel, while it's still wet that can lead to a lot of hair, breakage and hair fallout alright. So now we are going to quickly get into my current and updated rice water recipe. So i use jasmine rice and basically i just take one cup of jasmine rice. I put this into a bowl and i rinse the rice two times, so i do this just by pouring some water in a bowl with the rice, and i use my hands to just kind of massage the rice and just get all of the impurities out of The rice, i know massage the rice is like a weird way to put it, but basically i just scrub the rice in between my hands to get rid of any dirt and impurities. So then, i just pour the one cup of rinsed rice into a pot along with five cups of water and the peels from one orange. That just adds a nice scent to the rice, water, because rice water can sometimes smell. So i just cooked that for six minutes on high right before the water starts to boil like crazy. So then i leave that sitting there for just 10 minutes. While the burner is off - and i take this cheesecloth and i put it over a mason jar - and then i take this little scrunchie thing just to hold the cheesecloth down so that it doesn't move while i'm transferring the rice water, i basically just strain the rice, Water into the mason jar - and i don't leave any of the rice or any of the orange peels in the rice water. So then i just let this sit out to ferment overnight and then in the morning before i use it, i dilute the rice water. So i just fill up the rest of the mason jar with some fresh water, and then i use the rice water, as you guys saw at the beginning of this video. So i hope you guys enjoyed this hair washing hacks video. I hope you've all become a lot smarter when it comes to washing your hair. Thank you guys so much for watching. Let me know what are your favorite hair, washing hacks in the comments below i love all of you, and i will talk to you guys next time.

zarah begum: OMG AUDREY YOUR HAIR HAS GROWN SO MUCH my jaw literally dropped when i noticed how long your hair has gotten

Slob Without a Name: Audrey running her fingers through her hair after washing it and there’s no hair in her hand. If it was me half my hair would be in my hand already, not a pretty sight

love k-pop: The amount of times she washed her hair Appreciate your efforts ☺️

Rajeshwari Kamath: Audrey, your hair has grown so long!❤ Great tips. I follow only some of them and they have made a huge impact on the health of my hair. Do you think washing your hair only once a week is okay? I wash it twice a week. (Alternating between a gap of 3 days and 2 days between washes) If I try to extend my washes, my scalp becomes really oily and I end up having dandruff.

Tashpia: Ive been watching you for 2-3 years, and OH MY GOD. YOUR HAIR GREW SO LONG!!! GOOD JOB also it looks so healthy!

Humera Anwar: I love how she explains her videos and carries them out quality content!!

beginner art studio: My indian hair tip is that instead of taking shampoo on your palm You can just take half of the shampoo that u use in your hair, take it in a mug or jar and pour water (double the amount of shampoo) It not only uses less shampoo but also prevent too much chemicals from entering .......

taekookies: my hair falls out SO MUCH whenever I shower though, everytime I run my hands through it when it's wet so much hair comes with it even though I brush it beforehand

wallabumba: The shower filter is a MUST! In fact, I use the same one. I realized years ago that no matter what skin care or shampoo regimins I used, my skin and hair were still really dry and flaky. Once I started using filtered water, VOILA! Massive improvement. No more wasting money on more and more expensive products for skin and hair. ARGAN OIL IS ALL YOU NEED!!

emma frecon: For anyone with fine hair conditioning before shampoo is a total game changer gives you moisture but since you shampoo after it takes out any extra

76 7: To not wash your hair too often is a myth and totally depends how oily your scalp gets. All the other tips are very great and I would suggest to always start washing your hair starting with the back.

Samantha Flatt: Your hair is seriously getting long! And looks so healthy!

Kirthika Jayaraj: Any tips for the tangling that occurs while using the scalp massager ?

Eva: Thank you Audrey! Question: I lose alot of hair with conditioner. Do you have a trick to minimize that please? Thank you

Leonardo DiCapri-Sun: Buying a scalp massager was one of the best decisions I made, defo get one!! Also saves you damaging long nails while shampooing!

여부커플YEOBOO COUPLE: So helpful thank you for sharing! I've got long, thick, wavy hair and feel so accomplished after a hair wash day lol

Mariah Hall: Hey Audrey! Your so intelligent and your hair is gorgeous! You know all the hair life saving hacks! And Question. Is the Moroccan oil shampoo and conditioner healthy for all hair types such having thick hair and an oily scalp?

Hanne Gasparini: Dude your hair has grown sooooo much!! Congrats haha. I started to condish + shampoo + condish like a month ago and it definitively was a game changer. The condish at the end kind of locks in everything. Are you still using any leave ins? or only argan oil once its dry? Lots of kisses for baby Arthurrrr <3 <3

Kayleigh Kearney: This was so satisfying to watch and also very helpful! Thank you❤️

BreeandorLocky Stephenson: Tip for blonde hair: use a good quality moisturising/hydrating shampoo, it can make such a great difference :)

LilyOfTheTower: Your rice water recipe sounds nice I'd like to try it. Just a tip to you and others trying it, be sure to dilute it a lot since the added orange peel makes the formula very acidic. Acids help to close the hair shaft but if it's too strong it will fray your hair by drying it out. The rice water is about a 5 on the ph scale and the orange peel will take it to about a 3. Plain water is neutral at a 7 so be sure to add that water for a more gentle treatment.

Ghislaine Beauce: You could use henna or senna (same conditioning properties without the dye) masks to balance your scalp's production of sebum. I've been using henna for years, and I can sometimes leave my hair for a week before washing it. Usually I wash it every 4 to 5 days.

Sampurna Banerjee: My hair is so shiny and healthy currently only because of you! Thank you so much!❤ I've recommended your channel to all my friends!!✌

Slavi Славица: Great tips! Never would have thought to wring out my hair of excess water prior to applying conditioner. I'll totally try it next time. Also need to get on the rice water wagon. I've heard amazing things about it.

Let's meet in Jannah: I really needed this like I keep having lot's of hair fall in the shower and I've no idea what I do wrong. Thank you ♥️

Sydnee Ruppert: Audrey you should do a video of any vitamins you take for hair growth or for your hair or what vitamins are best for hair growth!

Pupu: Its also important to note that not only washing too often is harmful, not washing enough is harmful too.If you don't wash often enough, yeast will build up on your scalp which encourages hair loss.

Silvia Chiaravalle: One question: I bought an hair massager (Idk if it's plastic or silicon) but, when I try to use it, my hair gets 'trapped' and it hurts. May it be because of the massager or because of my hair? By the way, thank you so much for the tips, I'll start following them!

m.j k: all these hair care tips look actually satisfying and fun to do

val cornejo: I used to use the hair turbans and I started seeing the sides above my temples where my baby hairs are were getting baldish. Turns out it can cause hair loss since the hair turban tends to pull our hair and our hair is at our weakest when it’s wet! Just a tip! I don’t want anyone going through what I went through lol. Since I stopped using them my side baby hairs are so full!

Carolina Jimenez: Ive been watching your channel for over a year and you really helped my hair grow!! I follow similar steps but instead of argon oil i use hemp oil!! Thank you ive also followed ur rice water method

Chu Padilla: Mom: HURRY UP!! i need to use the bathroom! *Me doing my hair routine & loud music

grassgrands: Her: DoN't UsE ToO MUcH shAmPoO Me: filling my entire hand like ‍♀️

CB37_ Phạm Ngọc Hoàng Yến: Does it cause hair loss when using the shampoo brush on wet hair ? I'm afraid of using in a circular motion like that will tangle your hair and cause hair fall even more. My hair is super weak

Maccer 2011: Loved this video! In regards to the ricewater recipe, is it a must to heat the rice water? I am a student and the place I stay at doesn't have a stove Can I still use cold fermented rice water?

Evelyn Cee: Omg am so proud of myself we almost have the same routine! just not the double shampooing.

Heather Jones: I love using a hair mask on dry hair the night before I shower. Its amazing.

Ram Xx: Audrey I've been experience hair thinning and frizzy ness a lot and it's been shattering my confidence. Any tips for me?

Rosa Macias: Hi Audrey, what shampoo do you recommend for someone with thin hair? Can I switch to co-wash instead of shampoo?

Yesmean: Audrey, your hair videos are my all time favs! ❤️

Mckayla Vickers: Her hair is beautiful I could only wish mine was like that. I'm definitely trying some of these. My hair is always feeling stringy and hopefully these could help

savannah pearls: I literally just washed my hair before watching this video and I did everything she said not to do! ‍♀️

Mango T: My hair stylist told me years ago, just wash your scalp, and the runoff will get the rest of your hair. Keeps it from over drying. I’ve done it for years, with waist length hair. Watching this looks like she does same.

Felina Marquez: Definitely the scalp massager. It’s like getting a professional cleaning every time.

Faith Nieves: Hello Audrey lately i have been getting alot of dandruf and i wanted to see if you had any advice for it thank you!

Desiree Trujillo: You look great! Your hair is looking so long and healthy and you look like you are loosing weight. Keep up the great work!

seeulgiii: bc of my curly hair it gets pretty dry but bc of your vids its litrally sooo healthy now!! and its like been 1 year without straighting my hair!!

Linea Strøyberg: Am i the only one who finds rinsing out shampoo rly satisfying? Especially her doing it✨

Avi G: Omg, thanks so much for this . This has cured my psoriasis on my scalp. I have 4c hair , I used the oil tip after I took my hair down . Let it sit for an hour , then added a hair mask olive oil based then conditioned , then shampoo and condition. My scalp didn’t sting or burn on time . My scalp is so hydrated and my curls are so juicy

Mikayla Weaver: I was literally looking for a video like this yesterday! Thank u!❤

Evelyn Zoltan: I wash my hair once a week and it Look s very good

Noelia Avenaut: Your videos are so helpful & im gonna start using them!

crystalchrlss !: Audrey a tip: ur hair beeds to be damp not wet when u apply a hair mask so it can absorb it instead of the water dripping it off!!

Ruxandra ROSCA: Hi, found your hair washing hacks by chance. I was looking for some Chrismas gift idées of hair products. By the way ,thanks for the hair washing tips . Many of them I use myself for years and they work. A tip for you: I sleep with a satin hair bonnet. I know ... very "gramma" look as my boyfriend keeps reminding me. But it is very useful as my hair products don't transfer on my pillow case. Each morning I rinse the bonnet with warm water and soap ( it takes 5 min). P.S1 sorry for the long comment P.S2 sorry for any grammaire erros. English is my 5 language.

Olivia Steinert: If I ran my fingers through my hair like that in the shower my hands would look like cousin it Love the video your hair is gorgeous

Oh no.: Got ling hair now so thanks for the info! Was using too much shampoo during the week before. Had no idea I as doing things wrong :/

dehia omer: I love the tips, I assume you don’t do them all at once. So how you space out all this in a week? How often do you do rice water, hair mask and Argan oil mask?

Sky Walker: Love this video and you explain yours steps so well. But wondering how long can rice water sit before you use it.

Makayla Vallejo: Your hair looks so much longer with every video!

Zahra Zahra: I am so happy that you filmed this because your hair is so healthy ❤️❤️❤️

Trina Gallagher: I love ur hair, and your tat! I go about 10+ days between washing. I didn’t follow a chart- I just got lazier and lazier. ☺️

Elina Y: Wow the scalp massager.. I’m on my way to Amazon now!

Beren Saat: Watching you washing your hair was so satisfying

SilverRxsesRoblox: Quick question:Do these hacks make ur hair grow faster aswell?Btw I love how shiny ur hair is

ᑕᕼOᑕOᒪᗩTE ᗰILK: Hey Audrey can you make a video next on how to lose weight and stay in shape? Would appreciate it a lot

Jay_Nessa16: Love your vids!! Very helpful!

Ráchel Srkalová: Can I use coconut oil instead of argan oil?

Ravishing Nacho: What kind of shampoo do you use regularly? I've been trying to find the right one for me and would love to know what you're using!

Tara Lion: Favourite hair hack is deep conditioning and coconut oil 24/7. Well at least for my high porosity hair. Love your vids ❤️

Lauryn Adolfo: All of these tips were so good, but I also wanna talk about how great you look after having a baby! Good for you girl!

Maha Maha: The herbal essence hair mask do you apply that before shampooing or after shampooing your hair?

Aarsheya: I use that same scalp massager in pink and it has helped

Kim YeonTan: Aubrey your hair is seriously getting soooo long and looks super thick❤

Aniqa Asif: Do you use any argan oil hair mask before shampooing? It says on the instructions to use after.

Tina Chris: Wow! That looks like too much work and time consuming I hate even just washing my hair the regular way, it’s too long. This one will drive me nuts

Dorina Tudisco: This is such a useful video, thanks!

Joyce Adair: My hair comes out in handfuls. If I ran my hands through my head like you are I would have a lot of hair all over my hand. I’m amazed how you can do that.

Natalia F: Omg I was just about to wash my hair, and then this video showed up!!!

foundtherestroom: Great ! Very useful and good to learn !

Serratia Roopnarian: Love the video !! do you put Argan oil first and then rice water ? Thanks in advance ❤️

April Tejeda: If I straighten my hair, I can last a week without washing my hair. But since my hair is naturally wavy/curly and I don’t “refresh” my curls, I usually wash my hair every other day if I want to wear it down

conya doodeman: The fastest way to dry your hair is with a baby swaddle. They absorb so much water its almost dry completely.

April Batley: As far as hair drying out from rice water it seems like when u allow the rice to ferment a week or two it doesnt dry hair out

Jennifer Sale: Audrey I simply love that bow tattoo on your back it's super cute!

Kuhu Zoey: Hey after applying argon oil we have to wash our hair with rice water?

souha haddad: Hi Audrey do you think I can use this tips on relaxed hair ?? I used to have 3a curly hair and now I don't know how to deal with my relaxed hair although I love it ( sorry if you find any mistakes English isn't my first language and i wish that someone could help me , so if anyone have any tips please give me , thanks)

Maryam Alali: Hey Audrey can I use coconut oil in my hair

Emily Kerryn: IF YOU HAV COLOUR TREATED HAIR be careful w clearifying or detox shampoos they can wash the colour right out of ur hair

Dorothy Lisbon: I recommend you talk about fast hair growth shampoo to double hair growth.

Samrah Zainab: I used the same hair massager brush on my hair but it didn't work for me, my hair are way too thick
