Hey guys, it's Tina here, welcome back to another episode of Tina, tries it in today's episode I'll, be trying out these weed hitless silicon hair rollers. So I feel like it's been ages. Since I've sat down and filmed a Timah tries it episode for you guys. So I'm pretty eager to try these out today. These are called the pecker pecker rolls. I got these on eBay, I was searching for other stuff and it just popped up. So this made out of silicon and this recipe you know, like heatless, had tools that you can use, so they just pop out like this, and you just wrap around your hair and close it up and all stay now. I did some research online and they're really similar to. I think another brand called spool is, I think, they're on, like I don't know these infomercials and all that, so these are really similar but they're half the price. So I bought two packs of these for $ 10. The other one the spool is brand is about, I think, double like 20, 20 or 24 dollars. Now. This product has Japanese writing all over, but it's made in China and I love how they've misspelled you design. It seems new Dez, Jim, so in each pack you get ten rollers, five, smaller ones and five bigger ones. So how these I meant to work. Is you just pop that part open? You grab a section of hair, you wrap your hair around it depending on which direction you want your curl, and then you just let close that part down, and you just let it dry with this. You can do it after you wash your hair, you just how dry it don't completely dry it or if you want loose curls, you can just do it on dry hair, but you just leave it on for longer. So then you get loose curls. So today, I'm actually going to spray my hair with this BB tonic lotion primer. I just use it sometimes. If I want to wet my hand blow-dry it so I'm just gon na use it to dampen up my hair, but you can just use water, so I think I'm just going to section my hair into two sections will be easier. I'M just gon na spray. This baby, all just just lightly dampen up yeah. This stuff's actually really good for you contains like tea tree oil. It helps it like tame and detangle your hair and just refreshes everything. Now, I'm sorry if the light keeps changing, I'm filming with natural light. I'Ve been like digging the natural light vibes lately, but the Sun just keeps changing okay, so I've dampened up my hand not like dripping wet it's just a little bit damp. I'M just gon na write these up. What I'm gon na do now is just section off this top part, just clip it out of the way and then I'll start with this part should I use the smaller ones or the bigger ones. You know I used to swallow one for my bottom layers. Gon na grab the section I'm going to wrap it away from my face, and lately I've been vibing beachy beachy waves, so I'm good okay, ready, I'm ready! Ah Charlie messed this up. Okay, let's do it again. I think I held it the wrong way. Okay, again, I'm just wrapping it away from my face and like I was saying before, I'm vibing beachy waves, so I kind of leave the ends out. I like this ends to be straight, so I'm gon na see if this works like that. So that's one done. I'M gon na quickly move on to the next okay. It'S Dane, I might use a bigger one for this section, because it looks kind of big wrap it around close it. So far, it's pretty easy to use and it's stained if you use normal like regular hair rollers, I feel like though it's a bit harder to use. I don't know if it's just me, but I have a hard time using rollers. So that's my bottom section done. Gon na do the top just spray a bit more. Is it I'm kind of hoping this does work, because then I don't have to use my hot tools and damage my hair forever. Now, if you want tighter curls, then I guess you would just use like the smaller ones and if you want it like all the way up there like you curl starting there, then just roll it up higher, but I'm kinda just feeling it a rub around there. Don'T want one too high alrighty, so that's half my head done, I feel pretty secure. It doesn't really doesn't really slide off or anything. Now, I'm now, I'm a bit confused every time. I do like one side. It'S fine and I do the next side and I get always confused, ok, just away from my face and then close it perfect, I'm definitely getting the hang of these I'm getting quicker. So I finished with my whole head and I ended up using 19 of these rollers, so I have one baby left I feel like I could have. You know done the biggest sections if I wanted to say when they might overall as I use, because none of them are popping out or anything, that's still pretty intact. So I feel like, if you have medium to thick ish hair, I think 20 rollers would be good if you have more hair than that. Maybe get an extra Packer, so you have 30 30 rollers just in case now. The instructions do say that you need to leave these rollers in your hair for about 30 minutes to 1 hour, so I'm gon na leave it in my hair for one hour just in case. I really want this to work so I'll, be back in an hour to take these out and I'll show you the results, fingers crossed it works alrighty. I am back and it's time for the big reveal I'm going to start by removing these bottle ones. First, cuz. They were the first ones I applied it, curled it and you know what it's not a bad girl. Okay, okay, I can work with these, so it's not that bad. I thought you'd be like alright. I thought it'd give me a weed kill, but okay, that's literally. I spoke too soon. I think I just kinky here last one on this side, we're all going so well. What happened to this one? This is the result on this side like it wasn't for, like maybe like this piece and like that, I could live with that. I could totally I could wear that out, but these these pits on. Oh, no, what happened? Okay, let's just let's just do this side and this one kind of loosened up. You know what I feel like I like the ones that were in the bigger color. I don't like the ones who go in the little one. So that's! Okay, it's quite nice. There'S no kinks! It'S quite nice! I don't happen there. Okay, this is the smaller one. Let'S see yeah you just don't like the smaller ones. I'M gon na try my best to salvage this look. It looks like I did that, like the vintage waves with a really bad kink in my hair, okay, this is this is the best that I could do. You know what this side actually looks. Okay, it was wasn't the look I was going for after I brush that kind of gave me this, like vintage vibes, but this huh I feel like I could live with it's not like it's not that bad, except for a few kinks here and there. However, this side - I don't know if it's because you know it's the first side, I I did just doesn't look as great. Does it kind of looks like freesias its kinks? If I put it behind my ear, it doesn't look as bad and I feel like I've got somewhat of a hair style happening. What do you guys think hmm now it's time for the verdict? What would I rate this out of ten hmm? I am gon na give this like smack bang in the middle, like a five out of ten, I feel, like some bits actually worked quite nicely like. I think these bottom layers say it looks so nice and smooth and the best thing looks like it was hitless and it's no Hot Tools. You so doesn't further damage your hair. However, it's not consistent and it's because you know because actually it's because there's you know two different sizes, but it could also be - I don't know, maybe my technique. So maybe I need to perfect it somehow but yeah it's just not consistent as you can see, and you don't know until you actually open it up. If, if it's not nice, oh I did these kinks. This side looks really fluffy and not as great for some reason, but this side it worked out a little bit better. What I did like about it is that it was actually really easy to use, and I liked that you didn't need an extra like clip or something like with the break little rollers you can under you can just like flip and then it just closes, which I Found I was actually pretty handy. However, it's just you know not consistent enough for me, but maybe I just need to play with it a little bit more. Maybe just need it perfect, my technique. I think this would be handy for kids. You know if you don't want to put hot tools on their hair. I think these would be, I guess, a really good alternative, but you know for my hair: I'm not loving it, but I don't completely hate it. So that's why I gave it a 5 out of 10. Let me know your thoughts. What would you rate this? Maybe if you've tried something like this, did it work for you? Let me know, I think, for now, I'm just gon na have to continue damaging my hair with hot tools and just using those heat, protectant spray and just pray for the best, but yeah. This is not going to cut it for me, anyways! That'S it to this episode of team tries that I hope you guys have enjoyed it if you have any product that you want me to try, please let me know below and I'll speak to you guys next time, bye,

Christy Knutson: We had these exact rollers in the early 80's and they made our hair beautiful for school picture day!

HunieBee29: Now I don't know how well this works with Asian/Caucasian hair textures, but with ethnic hair we always wash, condition, and moisturize our hair before styling. It helps with adding definition and extending wear time. This is just a tip. <3

hypnovel: I think the hair rollers have potential with more practice and maybe leaving them in for longer.

M Slaughter: Tina, that pink shade in your hair looks so good with the dark roots! I'm sure it's a hassle to take care of, but that is dream hair for sure!!

Jade Prescott: Tina! Vintage hair looks amazing on you! I would love to see you try to do a bunch of different vintage styles, like victory rolls and the 20's finger waves!

Born Again Farm Girl: I actually think they turned out nicely .

Rae Badding's: At the end of the year you should go through all the try’s it you do and say if you still use them.

42marsbar: I'm LIVING for that vintage look on you though!! <3

Lydia Gomez: I ordered two packages of the same ones. I used these in the 60's or 70's and they were so cool and easy. For the price, they're a no brainer.

celi ko: I love how it turned out <3 maybe I just love the vintage style and dont like strict curles. And it seems really afordable

Rea: Tina you should try curl formers!

Eina Remedios: hi ! i've been binge watching all your videos! i find them sooo educative and so relaxing in a way! you are an inspiration! love you!

Aya_journals: Damn Tina you are so flawless! ❤️

Sandy Eddy: Tina love the video. No more hot tools please. Try again. Tips to help start with wet hair and start the roller from the bottom. Also give them longer in your hair to set the curl. But I think it was a great beach wave look. If you see anyone with wavy or curl to their hair naturally the hair is almost never perfect after being in the water trust me. So embrace your awesome curls and please don't damage your hair anymore.

♡Ivy Kat♡: Ok got a cup of green tea. I'm all ready Tina!

Elizabeth Rose: Overnight definitely would have worked better. Any kinks in your hair have more to do with your wrapping style and less with the product.

Brandy Hoskins: I knew from the 2nd roller that this wasn't really gonna work. User error all the way. 1) you went both up and down the curler 2) hair wasn't wet enough 3) didn't leave them in long enough

Tahlia Yoo: I actually think it looks pretty nice! The curls look quite natural. My natural hair has kinks like that. For the cost and using no heat I think it's good! Much better than rollers!

kaitlyn wade: Oo I love your earrings!! You're always so adorable Tina ^_^

Hope Love Faith: Hey Tina, I think that with practice these rollers will work great! I think it's just sortiout the best way to use them & you'll achieve better results!! They're promising!!

Anonymous Unnamed: I just don't think slightly dampening your hair and then waiting only an hour is really a fair trial for the rollers. If you also wet your hair and left it in overnight or until dry, then I think it would have been a fair review. So I give your review a 5/10, just like you gave the rollers. Sorry! I really respect your opinion, but I think this was amiss.

thomasina838: Tina, I am sorry to say that I think the problem has to do with right or left handedness. You twisted the hair slightly differently on one side than the other. I think everybody does that. But I think that's what the problem was. Other than that I thought it looked good and I would've given at about an eight.

Simon Medisza: The Tina Tries It videos are the Best Love your makeup

Nurul S.: I feel that this is a good alternative to curl your hair. Instead of using heat, this product actually works pretty well. Maybe you should give it a go one more time. Who knows? xx

Mina Sh Dhahir: Your makeup in this video is gorgeous can you make a tutorial about it?

ashjade2002: Hi, Tina. Could you do a strawberry foam curler review? I think they're super cute and will look great on you. Thanks

Erika A: I wonder how it would look if you left it overnight

Xenia Chaida: Please show us how to make your earrings, they are awesome! We would like also to see you try more beauty things from your trip to Korea

Lavinia Huffman: It's cute Tina. Try it again when you get out of the shower..... what happens then? I'd try it.

Lupus Erythematosus: I've found it's best to start at the end of the hair and roll all the way up. For body and fullness, try larger curls at the top. For beachy waves, I roll one curl forward, the next back. If you don't dampen the tips, they will take less curl and be straighter. I am following your link now (at that price I can't say no!)

Rubah Rathore: You should try the EgoEra Facial Mask Maker next! It's so weird ❤️

Mirela Slavcheva: I've been following your channel for so long and I really enjoy watching your videos! Hi from Italy ❤❤❤

Jessi: Tina is so adorable❤

lizitis: Turns out nicely! I’m wondering how long the curls last for? I got the sleeper curls promoted on shark tank. The curls are great but it falls out at the end of the day. With the time and energy put into the sleeper curlers - it’s better to use a hot curling iron since my curls lasts for 3 days. (Yes I don’t wash my hair everyday - dry shampoo in between)!

tina Armstrong: Just bought these and haven’t tried until now. I’m so excited to try and I only have a couple hours for them to set and even a weaker curl will do for the occasion ! So excited

CherylB745: Ha ha, we had these in the 50s/60s - they were called Spoolies!

Scarletteai: I think it looks good! I think the kink in your hair came from the rollers flipping over while it was drying. That's what it looks like anyway. I think if you practiced it some, they would work quite well!

ava.l9: I love how she pronounces "silicone"!

Sneha Rawat: I wish if there was a same product for straight hairs!!❤

Shue Shu: I love that rollers!!! U have to keep the circulations consistant. As in clockwise or anti clockwise then it will look good

Charlotte Perry: I would need like 4 packs of these for my hair haha!

krx: Try the curlformers, the cheap versions from ebay work really well!!!

Hello Skitzy_art: Could just do three buns in your hair and sleep with them in. (Beach waves). The more buns and smaller the buns then the more curls and you can use normal hair bands. This works well. Although when I do this my hair will be dry as damp stays damp with me. ☺️

Jessica Kennedy: In the end it looked really nice, especially with your hair colour :)

Mee Jung Lee: If your hair was wetter and practice how to roll your hair into the silicone :) I think it'll be a good product!

Tammy Dee: Love your pink hair! Hope you keep it awhile. Been a sub since forever

circeinvidiosa: You should dampen your hair one section at a time and leave the curlers in overnight. If you find it too curly, you can use oil based products to weigh down the curl. I often use rollers or pin curl my hair, and that is what works for me. Hope this helps :)

Something Fun: White looks super amazing on you with your pink hair!!!!

Tedi Soriano: I think it is because the first side you did, you rolled it outwards and up (which is the hated direction of "fly-away" hair), which is why the curls looked crazy on the first side. At least with your review, we now know that this works best when we put the item under the section of hair, then roll the hair under and inwards.

Si Vic’sLady98: OMG!!! I've actually tried those

rachel b: have been use it for years. it's make natural curl on me~

LadyRedHawk: Love the style on your right, very vintage

Lizzie Beth: Wow.....it's amazing how vintage hair tools become popular again. These were around in the 1950s which is why you got that vintage look. I thought it was cute!

Celestial System: You might try Kayley Melissa's Grammy's inspired heatless curls. They made some nice soft waves and looked quite lovely on her.

BodyByDesign: You are pretty.. and also so funny when you try all of the new stuff. Love watching your videos ❤️❤️

NameIsAGoodName: It's freaking glorified hair curlers! Those that old ladies always wears in movies.

MomNMe Beauty: I was REALLY hoping these worked! But I think the kinks happened because of where the top lip of the curler rested once it was closed. And it definitely is a great option for kids. Thanks for the review!

Mermaid Micah Lynn: It's kinky because of how they're clamped. My hair went from virgin black to rose gold hair so I try not to use heat at all. I've found these stretchy sort of mesh curlers that you use a hook to pull your hair through. I prefer over night but I think you could do it like these ones for an hour. Works AMAZING! They're called curlformers on amazon but I found them much cheaper from yesstyle

Lily. Michelle: Your makeup is AMAZING today so pretty love ya

Govind Mehra: She look good in anything and everything She's amazing guys

Jyoti Barry: I really like this, I reckon with more practise it could look great!

Rewan Khaled: It looks amazing on you please use it instead of damaging your hair because it's really damaged already

XxgamergirlxX :D: I like how your hair turned out and with that color omg so pretty

Buhbii: Ok so i recommend "Lock 'n Roll" as it's quite easy to do and i had dry hair, heated it up, boom. I had amazing curls. Just make sure to have a wide tooth comb.

Emily Shephard: I love that style! it suits you.

Marie: Foam curlers/flexi rods work the best on me. They don't give me a beach wave look but actual curls.

Kyrunya: The texture of my hair is a little different from one side of it so that one side straightens or curls differently.

Jovanna Garcia: Try those rubber flex rods! No heat with those. Ive used them with my dry hair!

mika francene: aww i thought it would come out better, it had so much potential!

Paperwing: I can’t imagine it drying in 30 minutes or even an hour without any heat.

lolastarsandstripes: You should try the Curlformers! They seem to work quite well

Samantha Donovan: They look good to me :) very pretty

Very Sab: I have these and they actually work well just need better application. I even use it on dry hair, blow dry my hair to add some heat and then let them cool for at least 15 minutes then hair spray (but of course the longer the better). Its a different type of curl compared to classic Velcro or clip rollers but it looks nice and give good volume. I suggest watching Mia Maples video on these curlers

J: I love that hair color on you!!!

NewlightRinoa: When her hair is curled after that’s how my hair naturally looks

Tex: I am old enough to remember having rags put in my hair overnight for curls the next morning (quite literally torn up strips of an old rag that you used to roll up your wet hair in) - it looks like rags in the 21st century!

Melissa Quezada: You should test out the "Sleep Styler" from shark tank. I'm interested to see if it works

Ichi Panda - NHW: Tina you do not have to damage your hair for curls... I swear by the heatless hairband technique! Have a look and give it a go... My hair is very very thick and it works, so for yours it will be super effortless and stylish :)

ShaNyia: Lol Tina’s hair is so thin I would need 4 packs of those things for my head

My Squishy: I feel like water instead of product, and practice would make these amazing!

Raghad Alzahrani: It looks great and you are so beautiful

X Lyrics: The thing with these heartless curlers is that you don't know what would you'd get. It could be any shape lmao. "Life is like a bunch of heartless curlers, you never know what you're gonna get"

Farah Moorsalene: That's why I curl my hair up to the roots, it's just awkward when it's half straight then a random curl

Amber Corder: I think you should try them with freshly washed hair and see if that works better

eileinenichol: please do a video on how you keep your hair pink!

Ana M Zed: I think they look cute, looks like a natural wavy hair.

Thais AC: The kinky side is pretty much my natural hair The other side looks cool tho :o

Geof Fulgado: Try rolling your hair sections in alternating directions. It’s going to give you more volume. And more natural look

Sasha Grey: The product works, I think its your technique!! I'd give it a 10! Noooooo heat damage. You'd rather damage your hair instead of practice .... Tina, I'm surprised!!.

frozyn summer: Lmao I'm glad I'm not the only one that ends up with wonky curls so annoying after waiting hours for your hair to dry

Abigail D.: Start from the ends of your hair and try rolling them in. Similar to Velcro rollers. I think this might take out the kinks.

hisgorgeousbae: im so in love with your hair color!!!

katemoosh: Love this !

grim kinsperson: Tina stay slaying fighting

Tae Tae: With my hair I'm gonna need about a hundred of those.

whatare this: They would all come out looking perfect of you rolled the hair in a neat way.

ashita rathod: Mindy from cute girls hairstyles tried this a long time back.. worked for her..

Kaylyn Seleman: This would take me 5 hours to do all of my hair and the curls would last 5 seconds

Organicrime: Great video and you were sure to include important information. Tysm

Amber Van Zitamore: Two words; Sponge Rollers. You can get them at the dollar store, and they're super comfy to sleep in. You don't even need to add any product with them... The curl literally lasts until you wash it out.
