We Gave Ourselves Haircuts Using A Haircutting Clip

We tested the CreaClip, an at-home haircutting tool. The CreaClip costs $39 and claims to be usable for all hair types, to be easy to use at home, and requires no prior hair cutting experience. We tried the CreaClip on, straight hair, wavy hair, curly hair, and bangs to see if the product is actually worth investing in versus getting multiple haircuts every year.

We Gave Ourselves Haircuts Using A Haircutting Clip

So my last haircut was about thirty dollars, um, because i don't like blow dry, it um, but like that's still like one haircut versus potentially many, so i guess like i would say for now before trying it, it seems like it would be a worthy investment. I don't cut my hair that often, but i don't go to salons more often, so no, i don't really pay for haircuts. I haven't gotten a like professional haircut in two-ish years, but i'll cut my bangs when they get out of hand or my life gets out of hand. So i have never personally cut my own hair, but my mom has cut my hair and it it usually ends up really badly like she would over overcut my bangs, and i would go in with bangs that were too short bad mistakes. So i i only go to a hair salon. I did give myself a haircut one time when i was seven and felt like i needed a huge chunk of hair missing at the front of my head, but besides that, no i've never cut my own hair. Before i always go to a salon and get trimmed having this much power over, my haircut is thrilling and horrifying. At the same time, i don't think i'm experienced enough in hair cutting to be allowed to use something like this. The whole premise of the product is to make it so easy to cut your own hair that you can do it at home. I have my crea clip. I have my drugstore shears, i'm ready to completely ruin my hair, so scared, like i'm, holding my breath right now. Oh my god. That was a big piece. I'Ve never done this blind before. So i'm hoping this level actually does something: okay, okay, that's much straighter than i've ever been able to do it before on. Like the first go. If this goes badly, i can just work. You know we're done. I think we're just done don't see any like huge uneven chunks, which is comforting. Oh my god, my hair is so strong or these scissors really suck. I would say i would definitely not cut my own hair forever with the korean clip, but i might try to experiment with like cutting my ends and stuff and uh cutting like like trimming my bangs, even though this whole experience was a little bit stressful. I think i think i'd recommend it not enthusiastically, but if someone was like, i want to learn how to cut my own hair. I would be like maybe get a korean clip. I think this would be ideal for like a parent to use with their kid. I don't think it's worthwhile to bring a kid into a salon and drop a thousand dollars. I think, is what a haircut costs um - and this is a nice free, cheaper alternative. I think it would pay for itself. Eventually, the level actually really did help, because sometimes i my head would be like slanted a little and like i wouldn't be able to see if i was cutting straight or not, but the level was able to like show me if i was straight, i see a Difference to me, my hair, especially in the front, just looks more bluntly cut in the back. It still looks super mismatched and just like that, makes it long and short. I just think that i might have too much hair to fit into it for it to work its most effective way. You

Kiki K Darling: Smaller partings and good shears are key. I actually have these. Used for the initial cut then went back in to clean up a bit. I'm a barber/hair stylist by the way.

Maria Martinez: IDK WHY PEOPLE NEVER SECTION CORRECTLY OR COMB THE HAIR RIGHT! IT GETS ME TIGHT!

Lellie: They didn't even try to section their hair correctly

Madison M: Nobody actually followed the strip and they were using too thick of pieces to cut at once

EmrldTeddy007: This is actually a good product, if used correctly! *I've had mine for years and luv it!

CreaClip: Awesome, always make sure to familiarize yourself with our instructional CreaClip videos before you cut so you can cut with confidence. CreaClip allows you to create many different hairstyles in the comfort and safety of your home.

Treka Double: I personnally cut my own hair for two reasons: 1. It saves me a looooot of time. Sure hair stylists do a fantastic job, I absolutely not cut my hair as good as the would, but it takes 1h30 for me and if I do it myself it's 30 minutes. 2. It's not that expensive if you ask for an apprentice to do it, but I personally don't have that much money and there are things I would rather buy with that money instead of a professional haircut. The thing is, my result is not really clean, it's not really good, but it's enough for me ^^

Long Hair Carolyn: $1,000–is that what a haircut costs? None of them seem to have followed instructions???

Ameerah: I've never seen the Crea Clip people do a demo on super curly hair. I would flat iron before using it.

Franny P.: As a hairstylist I wouldn't really recommend using a creaclip if you have a type 3A-4C because curoy hair gets really stretch a whole lot especially when you use it compare to just having it trimmed professionally. However if you have a type 1-2B hair which is straight to just slightly wavy then you're good to go with a creaclip. Pro tip: don't cut it straight across whenever you cut your own hair... It is best to still point cut the hair because it's more forgiving and it lessens the error in cutting compare to just chopping it in one swipe.

Rachel_Rebel_Makeup: None of them did it right imo.

jennie: 3:00 honey no that's definitely not how it works

JeanneMarie68: Using dull scissors, no sectioning, half hearted attempt.

crista leng: Get a REAL/PROFESSIONAL hairdresser to test it out

E P: I just cut my hair with one of those food bag clips that look just like this thing. The clip is like 1$

Lisa Just Visiting: I think this would work if used correctly and hair sectioned correctly

Westielover: All the “I don’t get haircuts or I haven’t been to a salon for a haircut in years” girls are about to need a haircut after this lmao y’all just messed up your hair, it looks bad.

diana !!: Wow that Asian lady didn’t give a whole hoot.

Abigail B: I love this I’m buying it!

LIBRIAN Sana: They didnt even tried it right... How are u gonna get clear results and know what u think unless u try something according to its way

Emme K: Nico is ROCKING that black lip. Wow!

Jesse Pruett: *Brad Mondo has left the chat*

Ghouljah yeahyeahyeah: This is the most blunt shear I've ever seen lol

Loretta Mejia: First off, they did not comb their hair evenly and did not use proper cutting shears. This was very poorly done.

Tamara Buxton: Yikes.. are they using dollarstore scissors? Been there lol done that too Have fun & thx for sharing ✌️

oreoemsa: I need that clip, cuz i always cut my own bangs mayne once - twice a month

Lesley Dickson: Where did they find so many people who've never used scissors before?

Mary Clark: Okay so i noticed this has a living system. I have scoliosis and my head naturally tilts to one side, basically it’s not straight, would that affect the outcome of my hair if I use this?

caramel: I love this Chanel sooooo much ❤️❤️❤️❤️

stephyclaws: Wow the lady in the striped top cut quite a lot of hair!!

Cheryl Singh: Nice. I like it!

Maahnoor Qureshi: After watching this i am looking at my hair after every 5 minutes

melody A: I'm defenetly buying it

Rachel_Rebel_Makeup: I’ve been cutting my own hair because I moved to a rural area.

Denise Osborne: The redhead "I don't think it's worth taking a kid to get a haircut, I think it cost a $1000". WTF

Taco The Cat: The haircuts where I live are $8-100+ $8 tho

jennie: did they even try?

Allrecipes fan: $1,000 haircuts?

Novalee Jones: We need this in 2020

Elaine Chen: This stuff is about $2 if you bought in china. Cheaper quality, but who really care about little trinket? NOT WORTH THE MONEY

maninderkalsi76uk: Wow it’s really cool

Julia Graves: $1000 haircut?! What salon are you taking children?

aly be: Bad scissors how dare they give them those type of scissors

Leah M.: Whyyyyyyyyy. Omg they didn’t even TRY

Thanh Nguyen: And when you look behind it’s very uneven

Shelby Hetrick: There is so many things wrong with this video lmao.

Honest Review Yogi: Killer

Gnome COOCHIE: They screwed it up lol

evidence: Nico looks so different

Andrea Gomez: Why they cut so close to the clips and so uneven?

faiznur anis: So expensive 39 dollar. I can go to hair salon about 15 times at my place with that... Not worth it.

Lindy Lund: Sharp scissors might help. Not impressed with this tool.

Judy Anne: Ebay has these cheaper

The Bottle: 3:49 - 3:58 the video was before covid that's why they didn't say " *_IF U NEED/WANT HaIr CuT iN lOcKdOwN_*"

Thalia: The first girl looks and sounds like Aubrey Plaza!!!

yellowboxes09: The quality of this video is very 90s.

Bloops baking show: I loved this vid btw I'm the 99th comment let's gooooooo hooray and the 100th too lol

Anonymous Crystal: EARLY!!!

Dawn Blake: These people that are commenting about separating the hair...are you Hair dressers? LMBO I’ve been using this over 2 years & I don’t have to separate my hair to use this!

renika dartunis: Lol

Ramune Soda: Cringing

Sarah Haider: @bradmondo

Aida: Hi

Abigail B: First!!!!

Call me Satan: @BradMondo

Twin Girl: First of 17

ɓσσɦ: nooooo

Adriana Torres: Love how people want to be cheap for haircuts. Literally a haircut is NEEDED. You have to take care of your hair. These women are making it seem like they paid BANK to get a trim... if you pay your doctor to take care of your body, a dermatologist to take care of your skin, why is it such a hassle to look for a good stylist and pay them for a GOOD haircut. I get some stylists ask way too much for trims. I charge $15 for a trim, like no parent needs to cut their own kids hair unless they are licensed to. Not doing it yourself. This product is the most terrible idea I've ever seen. Cheap people= cheap results. Have fun explaining to the stylist why you jacked your own hair up.
