Hi, I'm Rochelle with Godiva secret wigs and I want to say hello and thank you, women all over the world. You are loving to die with secret wigs. That is amazing and the questions, and what we're going to address today is how do I store my wig? So I'm going to take you through all the different ways that I have stored them all the ways that work. So, let's start with, when you receive your wig, it's normally inside out that protects the fibers and that's what we keep them inside out when you get your wig you've worn it. You have a great day. You'Ve got lots of compliments and now you're home. What do you do with your wig? So the first thing is: if it was knotted or you got a little wild brush it out and then turn it back in the side out again and you will store it in any kind of a container. Now this container does not have a lid and you don't want the wig getting dusty in a container with no wig. So the way you can handle that is put your wig in a plastic bag and in the container, that's one. Okay. What I really love are shoeboxes and you can see I have my favorite freedom wig and I love to put the name some of you out there love to decorate your wig boxes. There'S my freedom, that's also what I'm wearing today and nutmeg F. So shoe boxes are great, shoe boxes, cardboard, shoe boxes, plastic, shoe boxes, anything with a cover and you are good to go. Okay, one of the important things to remember is if an area is too hot for you to be in, like we're not going. To put you in a hot trunk or me, you are not going to put a high quality, beautiful synthetic wig in a hot trunk, it's not good for it and it will really dry out the fibers and you won't be happy. So the wigs do not like intense heat, but when it's a hundred and five degrees out, I wear my wigs when it's 180 or ten. If I'm in the mood, I even dampen my hair and put the wig on over it. Okay, my hair is towel dried. It'S not soaking wet when I do that, but if you can stand the heat, so can the wig. So just keep that in mind now some of you want decorative pretty little boxes, and so there's my wig. It'S got a great cover. It'S protected from the dust and so a great idea also. Normally I keep my wigs in the closet and drawers in my closet in sweater box under the bed and I'm going to show you some other ways. So, let's keep going so this is a great craft box that I love. I put a lot of crafts and this is airtight, so got my little wavy piece in here. But if I were to put a wig again, I can't say enough to turn it inside out and then you could even stack eight or ten wigs here, one after another, perfect, it's a great go-to box. This I got it Michael's by the way. Now, for those of you that are part of our to 20 and 30 wig club - and I am serious - I mean it used to be women, wear one wig for a life and they don't switch, but not anymore, our clients, and I we switch around all the Time with lengths with colors - and we have a good time at it, okay, so this is a great box to keep many wigs in I'll. Show you what I've done so on this side I have my lighter wigs and my darker wigs or you could have shorter medium long wigs. You can do anything you want, and I hope you can see that. But this is a great box, of course, again it's protected by the top and it works wonderful as you're growing your wig wardrobe. So now we're going to talk about getting a little creative with wig heads and how you're going to store your wig. So let's say that you have styled your Katie you've hair sprayed it you've, teased it it's perfect. In that case you don't want to turn it inside out and put it in a box right. You want to keep it to the style that you created, or maybe you watched my how to make punky looking wigs and if you have put hair spray and styled it, you want to keep it on something. So here is one sample that I personally love because I made it and I got everything at the dollar store costs me about under $ 3, and this is a glass vase. This is a plastic bottom and, if you're interested, let me know and I'll do another video on how I made these so the wig fits perfect, and this is a Katie again and a shorter way gray. Let'S say you want to make it a little bit longer. All you have to do one more dollar, ladies glue it up on top, and then I love to have it as a secret compartment for my ponytails, my clips, my bobby pins, to secure it and then once that's glued on then there's more length for the wig. So you could have a tailor on here, no problem or some of your longer wigs, so it's really fun to get creative and here's another little one. I did just put some little flowers underneath it's it's a kick when you have nothing to do so. I walked around the house. What could I use for a wig stand? Well guess what I found a big huge bottle of champagne and you're gon na laugh about there, but if you need something it works great. I mean my gosh, my sister's been wearing wigs for decades and she puts her wig at the end of the date. On a lampshade and that works great too for her, so there's no rules, but mainly if you can fold it inside out put it somewhere where it won't get dusty. If you're wearing a wig every day or its styled, then here's a cute little surprise, Quaker Oats. So you can decorate that box. You could put wrapping paper, you could decoupage it. She could do whatever you want, it's fun, so those are wig stands now. Let'S talk about wig, hangers, there's a few different things. I want to show you and I love them all. So Godiva secret sells the wig hangar. They are phenomenal and these are really used for, after your washing your you've washed your wig and you're, going to simply clip it on the bottom of the wig, and you put it in your shower to dry. It'S a breeze and in the morning your wig is drying. You brush it, you put it on and go, but this clip is also great for travel, so you can take it with you. Take your wig off at the end of the day, and there you've got a great place to hang your wig. That is number one. The next is the waist and legs metal wig stand, and it goes apart and folds up so great for travel and great for a wet wig, because it will air dry. You just put it on like this, and the wig sits right on top. So this is another great option. Also I found at the dollar store. I found these hooks, so I've got my clock clip ponytail. I'Ve got my Danielle bang and you can hang turbans whatever, and this hangs at the top of a door and if you have a really long wig like I'm, going to show you a canvas, you can just hook it on and hang it and perfect place. Okay, so that's another really great idea, two items I don't have here, but you could find them somewhere, our styrofoam heads and also the shoe caddies that hang in your closet. So I think you can see those right now, but those are all great ways to keep your wigs beautifully stored and have a little fun at the same time. So I hope that helps and if you have a great ways that you are hanging and showing off your wigs, send your pictures send them to us at info at Godiva secret wix.com send your pictures we'd love to see, because when you share, we can share better With a clients all over the world, all right have a great day, and thanks for watching bye, you

Shelly Twersky: Wig storage. Exactly what I've been wondering about! Now I'm inspired! You could also hang your wig hangers over a towel bar or closet rod. Install one in your closet, or even in full view in your bedroom--paint it to match, cover it with fabric, paper, decoupage it...or wind a garland of flowers around it, placing the wigs in-between. I love your informative videos, because you and Danielle so obviously like what you do! (I'm a Rachelle, with an 'a')

Billye Singer: Would love to see how you created the wig stand from items from the dollar store! Thanks for all you do.

Rachel Cooper: Thank you so much for these wonderful tips Rochelle! I just recieved my very first wig, Freedom, in Honey Wheat R. I absolutely love it, a nice surprise from my husband. Thank you n your team for all you do for us. The ladies at the Corporate Office were fantastic in answering all my many questions! I will be shopping again!

Barbie Babe: Great video! It contained a lot of useful info! Thank you. Now I have something to do while social distancing! Thank you and be safe!

Julie Robinson: Holy cow . . . I LOVE the suggestions for wig stands! If you haven't already, do a video on how to make the Dollar Tree stands.

Carla J.: Great idears! I am just starting a collection and have 4. I like to put mine back in the GSW zip bag it came in and I also save my wigs name and price tag in the same bag so I can see right away which wig is in each bag. Right now I keep them in a tote bag neatly, not crumpled up or rolled up, and set that in a hall closet closest to my bathroom. Makes it easy to get to. Keeps them out of a moist place or hot sun. Thank you for the great videos. Did you do the paintings in the background. It looks like you and your right side and Danielle on your left :) Very nice art.

Laurie Shafer: Excellent video! Lots of options for storing wigs!!! Thank you so much

Kathy H: Amazing video! What good idea's about storing. Can't wait to try them

Vida Mitchell: I love listening to you. You look pretty in pink! Thank you for the tips on storing wigs.

Mary Mary: Rochelle, I laughed when you mentioned a secret compartment for ponytails. Very creative. Speaking of which, I've been admiring the colourful background artwork in your recent post-Covid home filmed videos. Given you made the wig stand and pretty face inside the vase, I'm now guessing you are the artist?!!

D W: Great video Rochelle❣️ So helpful, 1 question - which is better, the box it came in/shoebox or airtight container?

Debbie ForHim: Thank you for your suggestions. I have now about 20 wigs and love them all. But I do notice that synthetic fiber can kink if placed in one position over time. How do you prevent that from happening? Also, turning the wig inside out down totally flatten the wig out on the crown? Seems like that could be an issue over time too.

Denise Ranio: Great information Rochelle! Thank you.

Stephanie Bernd: I love all your ideas! I just purchased three more wigs which will make a total of six. I think I have an addiction!

A. RosesRBleu: Enjoyed the tips! You might want to move your website logo over to the right or left when you are doing a demonstrative video since it is not the see thru kind it obscures what you are doing sometimes...Just FYI...For the tee totallers out there a coffee can will do....Makes it smell good, too!

Flora Crocker: Enjoy watching this I am really thinking about getting one I have had loss of hair because of cervical cancer years again and my hair has bald spots left in many spots so I am going to try and save to get one .

Tameka R: I love the wig stands you made!! They are really stylish

Sandy Lemar: You're fun and just loaded withh GREAT info - THANKS!

Marguerite Cummings: Thank you! Your video is just what I was looking for!

Christina Guglielmello: Is it ok to store a long wig (Large Harper LF Mono) upside down on your wig hook for a long period of time? Or would it be better to turn her inside-out and put her in a bag? I want to keep the lace front in it's best condition. Thanks! I love your paintings and your videos!

DannyJane: Storage is at a premium in my little apartment. I have a 4 drawer storage unit I found at Family Dollar that (barely) fits between the toilet and the sink I turn my wigs inside out, put them in ziplock bags, I use masking tape to label the bags, and literally stuff them in the drawers. When I pull out my wig all I have to do is shake it out and put it on. It's always a finger-sweep from being ready to go.

Mary-Ann Roy: Love your videos. So helpful!

Diana: Great ideas. Thank you!

Kathy Bennett: Oh my Richelle, pink is YOUR color!!

roopeshkrishna34: Great video.. thanks for the tips..

Barb D: Please do a video on that cute wig stand it’s cute!

makeupjazzetc: How cute and creative!

Serenity: Best tutorial ever. Amazing much love xox

Cheryl J: So creative!

Flora Crocker: I would love the price list please I am very interested

Candy Chand: “...Or, you got a little wild.” Lol

Lisette Guerard: I have several of your lovely wigs and have placed them on head stands. But now I wondering if it wouldn't be best to put them in a box or lid container, as you showed in your video. My question is - given that a wig placed on a head stand is exposed to dust that circulates around the room, is it best to place them in a lid box in order to decrease dust expose. Or does it not matter (dust wise) if they are on a head stand.

Carmen Gerakos: Do you carry a stand to hold the wig steady while styling?

Jackie Savoy: What about wig heads or the kind you put together, the plastic wig stands?

Melissa Lynn: I have new wigs with tags still on stored on wig heads on shelves that have been there for years ..I will just shake it out before I need it one day to shake out dust. Hopefully that was ok to do because it is like 5 years too late now lol.

Lisette Guerard: Hi Rochelle. I wanted to know if its possible to sleep with your GSW on. Will it do damage to the hair?

Flora Crocker: Where do I find the price list please I live in Canada

Myrna Suarez: I'm so envy, lots of amazing wigs ,I ordered 1 n still waiting, hope. u can give me freebies ,clip to twist my hair, hope so

Deb S: Great ideas....thanks for sharing. I put mine on wig heads and put a grocery bag over it so it want get dusty. Do you think that’s ok? Thanks

LS Weddle: a great and inpensive wig stand that I have made is to blow up a balloon and then paper mache over the balloon. When it's dried, I pop the balloon and put the "Head over a wine bottle. Another one I tried was to wrap jute around a balloon covered in elmers all purpose glue. Once it's dry, pop the balloon and there is a cage like wig holder. clip pant hangers also work well to store wigs that are in plastic bags

Laura 1984: You look so pretty!

Ruth Ranieri: Be fun to put a face on the oatmeal box.

Helen Morton: What wig are you wearing and what color is it, please. I'd love it if you wsy say what you're wearing and its color.

Terri S: Hat rack will hold multiple wigs vertically.

Sasha Obioma O.: I like the turn wig inside out and put it in a silk bag and wig hanger

Terrie Savage: good ideas thx

Claire Moore: Hi my name is Claire Moore my I bug you the back of the wig is masup and kinky do I cut it off çan you please help me it is from tubing on the colt caller thank you for all you do and take care my friend s
