Wig Review - Accessories Hair Bands For Your Wigs

Hi, it's Barbara welcome back to my wig gig today. I want to talk about hair accessories for some things that we can use on wigs that help to just give it a little bit of a fun look and I'm concentrating mostly on yep. You guessed it headbands. Headbands are really a fun way to put color on your wig and also the nice thing about it is. It makes it feel more secure on your head, so we're going to explore a couple different things and see what there is differently about different hair bands. Remember to Like and subscribe, and if you want to please follow me on Instagram, I watch a lot of videos relative to wigs and hair in the like, and I was watching one of the videos that Jill Lin beauty therapy had put up. She was talking about some wigs and she talked about the square band and I thought you know I've heard of the square man. I'Ve actually seen some other wig reviewers show them and at the time I just didn't take the interest in them. But at this point her video - I guess just kicked me and said: hey, you know, go ahead and try it. So I ordered three of them and thought why not? Let'S see what this is all about, and I got three cute different styles. Now the square band - the great thing about this are that they are hinged in their slightly square in shape and they fold up like a pair of sunglasses. Now, I'm sure that this has been covered in other wig reviews as well. The other nice thing is they come in a variety of colors and some patterns and the like, and some have blingy Brunt rhinestones and such on the side. If that's what you want, but the lovely thing about these and wearing a wig is like. I said one of the things I really like is it just gives me that added security that my wig isn't going to go anywhere. It really gives that a nice comfortable feeling - and it is so cute - gives the color and just gives that just that little extra added touch the square, hair band or square band as it is called uh not only comes in a lot of different colors, but it Also comes in three sizes and those three sizes, you have one two and three now when you go to the website, you can probably get a good determination of which one might fit you and how well it will work for you now. This is not just for people who wear wigs, but also anyone who doesn't have two. So you want to make sure that you know you get a size, that's probably going to accommodate your needs. I chose the size one. I did it because I have a small head, and I know that I wear wigs and wigs have more hair than what I have on my actual head. However, I figured it was probably a safe size to go with so that it would fit me comfortably and fit comfortably with my wigs now, because of that, I am going to show you the square headband, with a variety of wigs that have different volume of hair. I'Ll be right back okay, so I have put on my wig topper. So this is very little volume. That'S on the top of my head, because all it is is a layer of hair on the top of my own hair. How does this square band work with that? Well, I can't really pull my hair back with this. If you see there's these little teeth that are along the two edges - and I don't want to pull this back on this hair and I'm not going to anyway, because it's short hair, but what I can do is just drop it down place it right there. Behind my ears and it seats comfortably and again added security, because a topper, the only thing holding a topper on are the clips in the back and the clips at my temples. So this just gives me that added security that I really want when I'm wearing a topper and it adds some cute color to it. So here I am wearing it with just a short pixie style. Wig and again, I've just placed it on the top giving me that security. It fits behind my ears, and you know what how about, if I have a pair of sunglasses on, is it gon na interfere with that? Well, let's try that here's a pair of sunglasses when I put them on they are sliding right there. Now they happen to fall right under that band. So what I'm gon na do is just pull that band back a little bit. The grips on this help to hold it in place, and I can wear my sunglasses and I'm fine. So here we are with a little bit more volume in the hair. This is a shag style wig. The sentence be Coco by Renee of Paris, and you can see that she's got more hair. The appearance of it is of more hair and we're just going to again throw our square headband in there give it. The color gives me that security works with the volume that is more than that topper or that pixie look so how about with curls in a curly bob? Well, you know it looks like there's a lot of volume of hair here and there is with the curly area. So we can do a couple different things. We could just place her right there for the color or let's say we wanted to take those bangs back. A little bit, we can just work her in pull her up and back, and we have a little bit different. Look that Square band is in there and it's really comfortable or how about something like Sonoma. She has the longer hair in the front and the shorter curlier hair in the back, and she actually has quite a bit of volume and density on top because of all the permit ease and the unruly hair. So let's say we want to get this out of our face, we're going to probably just put her in there. Take those bangs pull them up now she doesn't have a lace front, so maybe we don't really want to pull those bangs too far off our face. Just because of that now, if it was a lace front, it might be a little different, such as we had on turn by Ellen Villa that was the last curly wig I did so this still works, and again I get the security of holding my wig in Place: okay, so how about with a straight wig? This happens to be Chiron a of Paris and she's got this long straight hair. Now the thing about that is, what are we gon na do with this square Bend? We want to pull this hair back, not necessarily this, but probably that as well. So, let's just I'm gon na take it and I'm going to put it up at kind of towards the top. I'M gon na pull her back. I'M gon na fit her. That way. You can see she's taken that hair off of my face. Nice look so one of the things I wanted to show you was how I received these. They just came in a in a box and they were packaged like this, which is just a simple packaging. They have - and I thought this was kind of interesting - they had the plastic on the bows and then they have their tag, which, if you look at a tag, get this off. Of course I had to struggle with it. It tells you which one you're getting this happens to be pink and you can see it's that glasses style. Hopefully you can see those that teeth which help to grip the hair, very simple, and then what was nice too? Is they come with this nice little bag? That you can slide them in. You can put that in your purse or your travel bag. You won't scratch it up. It'Ll stay in nice condition and you're set to go so again. You do have other colors and one of the other ones I got was a zebra which I thought was really cute very nice, very simple slider in the bag, and I have a place to store it and use it for travel or just everyday. In my purse. Now, how do these square bands? How do they differ from regular hair bands? Well, here is the square band. Of course we know that it has this unique style where a standard headband does not. It is just a headband places it on your head. It doesn't have those grips to it, pretty much it's an accessory for color. It does give me a little added security because it is holding it there, but I have noted that these have a tendency to slide around a little bit more then that hairband and that's because it doesn't have those teeth to grip. A slender header band cute gives that color that I want it's simple. It'S light does give a little bit of security like I've had with my other hair bands, but still, and even though it has like these these little covered ends. It still doesn't do quite the job of gripping. The only other hairband that I have in my wardrobe are things that are of a stretchy need nature, which you can slide on, and I do like these. They actually give me a little bit more security than the other two standard bands and they're cute as well, but sometimes they have a tendency to pop off easily, especially if you have a small head like I do, they work better with longer hair wigs. So again, this square pan is a great product just because of those features of it that again easy to put on you can slide the hair back. If that's the case for you or just tap it in there, it's got the teeth that helped hold it into place. One thing I didn't mention was: it's got these little rubber ends and the nice thing about that is it's comfortable on your head. If you are wearing it with a longer wig and you are wearing it under the cap, so that it's comfortable there also helps to grip at that occipital bone a little bit easier as well. All around this is just a great hairband, so sq, hair or square bands great product.
