Make Highlighted Wig For Pullip

Trying something new again.
I got my pullips wig in local doll shops, you can buy yours in many webshop on ebay or etsy.
Warning: again, the iron method may not work on on every wig and you might risk ruining the wig. Please do your research before attempting.
Rewigging Another Queen was unintentional. One day I was combing, hair hair and the wig just fell off. So I brought her a blonde wig that matches her stock one, But it seems rather plain to me not much character. So I thought how about give her some highlights. You need the wig and some clip-on extentions ( need at least 4 ). You can get them in hair accessories stores Choose a color that goes with the wig. I think wine, red and blonde is quite pretty Begin by removing the clip from the extentions Lift up. One layer from the wig Hold it with a hair clip The extention is placed against the roots, Sew the extention to the wig, Careful not to let hairs trap between the threads Here. You can already see the highlights Now, it's too long, so it needs a cut. This looks pretty much much done, but unfortunately, when I release by hand the bangs stood up, I'm going to fix this with iron, but I must warn you in this step might not to be applicable to every wig or you may risk ruinning the wig Damp, the Bangs a little Fold a towel into a ball and stuff it into the wig Use another damp towel to cover it Apply iron on medium heat onto the damp towel for a few seconds, See the bangs no longer stood up And Finally, you leave it to air Dry: Here's the wig before And here's the highlighted wig. It'S still a bit damp and kind of messy, but you can still see the results.

Yunie of Channel Pullip: @Kinzlover33 yes, but sometimes, if the extensions are nylon fibres, after cutting the end are rather coarse.

Yunie of Channel Pullip: @WallERoxmySox Only of the wig is heat resistant (it should say so in the sale description). Then you can try it on low heat.

Yunie of Channel Pullip: @goldensilenced you mean you want to buy a wig net and hair seperately and root them yourself? Yea, I know there are materials for that. But it would be a lot more complicated.

vhdangel: Another method you might try instead of the iron is a boil perm. Set up the wig and pour boiling water over just the parts that you want to lay flat (be careful, if you get the other parts you might take the curl out of the wig... but you can put rollers in those parts and re-curl the wig and the new extensions if you want). It might not work for all wigs, but it's generally considered safer and less damaging for the fibers.
