Let'S Compare Raquel Welch Wavy Day & Simmer (Elite)! Discuss Differences & See 2 Comparison R

That'S been out for quite a while we're going to we're going to examine those differences and similarities. Today, i'm actually wearing the simmer elite by raquel welch. I don't have a regular simmer, but all the style and all of the measurements should be identical to the regular simmer. So, let's get into it. I purchased this simmer with my own funds from wig studio one and then the appearance of the wavy day bar by raquel welch, was actually sent to me for a previous review by wig studio one. So i feel like if i'm comparing the simmer elite to the wavy day by raquel welch. It would be very much the same if i compared the regular simmer to that style as well. The biggest difference is the cap. The simmer elite features a fully hand-tied cap, which is an extended lace, front, single monofilament top and hand-tied cap, whereas the original simmer has that extended lace, front full monofilament top and then is open wefted on the sides and back so the only thing that really changes On the style is the amount of volume, sometimes with the wefted style, especially one with permatease. You might be able to see a little more volume, whereas on this hand-tied style, it's a little bit of a lower profile. So, let's keep. All of that in mind. Simmer is a beautiful mid-length kind of a long bob style with some soft tousled deconstructed curling iron curl. It'S just gorgeous. I recently reviewed the wavy day style that just came out in may 2022 by raquel welch, and so many of you asked me about the similarities and differences between that wavy day and the raquel welch's summer. So i'm happy to do this for you today. Just a little comparison - and i love these comparisons, because i'm learning right along with you, it isn't until i get into editing that i can sort of pick out some of those subtle differences, because i don't see the side by sides until i do it the edit. So i love these as well, so let's go ahead and grab our wavy day now. The simmer elite that i'm wearing is in the color shaded biscuit rl1923ss and the wavy day by raquel welch is shown here in the color shaded cappuccino. This is which is rl1222ss. So you can definitely see where the shaded biscuit is a much lighter, much brighter cool blonde compared to um the shaded cappuccino, which is a base a base color of a brunette okay. We won't get too much into those colors as i've reviewed these colors before. But this the thing that we are looking at the most here is that this new wavy day is very similar. In fact, it is a mid, mid length, kind of a tousle curly style. So, let's get into this comparison, there's an eleven and a half inch front piece on the wavy day. There'S an 11 and a half inch front piece on simmer. They both feature a nice curling iron curl on either side of the part that goes back and away from the face. I love that um. This is one style. There'S two styles here: actually, where that 11 and a half inch front piece, does not flap in the face and become super annoying. So i do love that um. They both feature a pretty light density, especially around the face too so um. You know the heavier a style is around the face, the less natural it looks. I think - and these two have a very nice light. Wispy look around the face: they're both made from the true to life, raquel welch, heat friendly fiber, so both of them um. Now the different, let's start to discuss some of the differences from the crown down to the tip of the hair in the back, is around 13 to 14 inches on the wavy day and on the simmer, that's going to be around 12 inches. So the wavy day. Overall is going to be between two and three probably inches longer, compared to the simmer and again we're going to do those side by side. So you can see exactly so another thing that i think is going on here with the simmer the back kind of makes it look like there's a little bit of an angle, so the back kind of has a shorter appeal to it, whereas on the uh on The wavy day, it's let me see if i can get just good side shot here, so that front piece is squared off with all the layers in the back okay, so i overall, i think that the wavy day has more layering compared to the simmer and that's Going to give it just a slightly different look now: let's discuss this curl pattern, so the simmer looks like you've just gone all over the style with the curling iron and then gently deconstructed it with your fingers or wide tooth comb. I left this kind of in its original curl pattern. There'S a nice definition to the curls on simmer. Looking at wavy day, then it looks more like a beach wave to me. It'S very separated. It'S got more tapering there towards the end and there's more layering, giving it that kind of brushed look. So this is a choppier, more separated beach wave on the wavy day. Now, where it's kind of similar to simmer is in the front where you've got those curling iron curls, those softer curling iron curls, coming bringing it away from the face super flattering. But i do sense that you're going to see a difference in the curl pattern. From the side and the back okay, each of them feature more of a smooth crown and to get about halfway down so overall, i think these would be great sister styles in terms of maybe a little grow out where you you're used to wearing simmer, and you Just want to have a little bit of a longer look but kind of keep the same general style. I think wavy day would work out really well for you now. Let'S talk density so on this simmer elite is a super light density, super light density, low price profile and super light, and there's no permatease on simmer on the wavy day, based on the curl pattern and the layering, it's probably going to look like it has a Little more volume, of course, it's a little bit longer which helps with that aspect as well, but this is not as light density compared to the simmer simmer has a lighter density. Now i'm going based on this hand-tied version, which may actually have a little lighter density compared to the regular simmer version. I i don't know that for sure i i don't have a long enough memory on that, so i think these would still be wonderful, fantastic sister styles. Let'S take a look at the pricing then um on the regular simmer, which features a temple to temple. Extended lace, front full monofilament top and open wefted sides, and back it's about 403 dollars. As of the date of this filming, remember, prices are ever changing now on the wavy day right around just over 390 dollars, so a little bit less than the rigid. The original regular simmer it also features an extended lace front and full monofilament top open sides, and back so what the difference is. I couldn't really say um, but you know it's probably about 20 difference between the wavy day and the regular simmer okay. So, let's just recap here: i think the curl pattern is a little different between the two. I think wavy day is going to be longer uh compared. You know between the two um i think wavy day has just a bit more density uh compared comparing the two, but i think they would also be very, very good sister styles, because they both feature that beautiful soft curling iron curl away from the face sort of Parts in the very similar way um and you can get the same exact color, because they're both featuring the same brand and the same fiber, okay without further ado.
