Oh Big Mama right here, I am back for another video and guess what it's that time of year again it's my 2020 2019 wig must-haves. Basically, it's all the stuff I've used in 2019 that I'm gon na carry over into 2020 to customize. My wigs you. I did a video like this last year and y'all really seem to like it. So I feel like I wanted to do another one grab you some tea, some coffee or whatever. This is like a green tea mixed with some almond milk creamer. It'S so good girl, but it's cold cuz, I'm trying to set up for this. Damn video mmm. We are finally at the end of the year, it's crazy. So there are some things that are staples that have been carried over for the past for two years and there are other things that I've kind of tossed out and replaced it with a new item. I'M your test dummy some of the things I like. Hopefully you like, and if you do have suggestions throughout the video please comment down below and while we on that subject, I'm gon na need y'all to subscribe and hit that posting okay. So you can see every single time I post y'all, I'm trying to make 100,000 words here. Also, if y'all can tell it's like 30 inches of width, oh look, she's synthetic! Don'T get don't choke on your tea! I'M just telling you, but if you want to see all the wig products that I've used in 2019, that I'm gon na be carrying over into 2020, please keep on watching. I'M gon na show you all the products that I've used going from from styling like from when you first get too weak all the way on to when you finish up your wig. So it was easy for you to follow. I'M not trying to confuse you all around here so when you first get your wig. The first thing I do is bleach my nuts. I suggest you bleach them, so you you don't have that little ant hill or little tiny dots on in your roots. So I use a couple of products to bleach. My knots, one of the products has changed, is my powder. I used to use kaleidoscope and now I use the lorry. Oh quick, Blue, Lightning powder love this stuff. Now I get the big container because I bleach the nights were so many wigs. This will was $ 19.99 for my local beauty supply store, but I think it's only 16 dollars on Amazon, so I'll leave a link for that down below. You can also get this in little packets and I think they're like two to three dollars. This stuff is so much better than the Kaleidoscope powder, because it's creamier once I add my developer to it, it's creamier and easier to spray, and that's what you want when you are bleaching the knots on your wigs, it's more like a buttery sort of spread. Where is the other? One is more like peanut butter. I also like to double the powder bleach that I use for bleaching. My nights are also bleaching for bleaching, my wigs as well like the actual hair, my sweat. I use this developer. This is a cream developer to tint your lace. You have to mix a powder Lightner in a developer. The developer that I like to use is the Clara pure white 40 volume developer for bleaching. My knots I used to use the 30 volume developer, so the 40 volume developer lifts faster and it lifts more effectively. I don't have to go in twice it, but let's move on when I'm mixing the lightener and the developer together. I use this little mixing bowl here this brush. It makes it easier to mix - and I don't know it's just easy - you get this from your local Beauty Supply Store, it's just a couple of dollars. Now I used to use this brush to spread my mixture of the developer and Lightner onto my lace, but I found that using a spoon if you use a plastic spoon to spread the mixture onto your lace when you're tinting your lace, it is so much easier And it spreads a lot easier with a plastic spoon than it does with this brush. So this is good for mixing in the spoon plastic spoon. Any plastic spoon is good for spreading. Now, when it comes to shame who I shampoo my blonde wigs, sometimes depending on from trying to tint them with the shimmer lights conditioner, but this one is the shimmer lights, color, enhancing shampoo for blonde and silver hair. I love this stuff. It definitely tints your blonde hair and turns it a little bit more ash and I, like ash blonde hair on me. It'S a really really intense shampoo and it comes out like this really beautiful, deep silverish like metallicky purple, so just be careful with this stuff because it's really intense and it smell like your grandma's perfume, but when it like, when you wash it out, it smells good. It'S not as intense but in the bottle girl girl. This bottle itself is 399 for my local beauty supply store girl. What, if you only buy one, we get the tiny one, don't get the big one. If I really really want to tone my weights down I'll, just use this Revlon color silk in dark ash, blonde I'll use this on my blonde wigs I'll, let it sit! What are you supposed to? Let it sit for like 40 minutes, you just let it sit and it creates this beautiful ash. Blonde color and I love a good ashy blonde, but these are only like 399 or you can get them for family dollar Amazon Target Walmart. Your mama's house love this stuff and it's inexpensive we're coloring hair. I learned this from tiara Monet. I think that's her name. She does not use foil when she's coloring, her weaves or wigs so like when she's coloring, coloring bundles. She uses plastic wrap because you can see the hair process through the plastic wrap such a genius idea. I also use it when I do a bleach bath. On my wigs I mean I put it in a clear plastic bin and I'll cover it with some plastic wrap. I can see through the container and see how the hair is processing. I haven't used it for bleaching, my bundles yet, but I don't really do bundles. Like that, so when I do, I definitely will be using that thanks here, Monet, this one's cheap plastic wrap. You probably get some qualities, though cuz it's for Family Dollar, for, like probably a dollar this brush was on my list last year. This brush is the evolved number 572 brush. It'S almost like a dupe for a Denman brush, never use a different brush because I wasn't gon na spend my money like $ 20 on a brush. This brush is like five dollars or so perfect for call me through your curls. I use it on my natural hair. I use it on my wigs. It defines the curls without tugging the hair too much. Can you see how dirty it is? Oh girl, you can't. Oh, don't judge me: Oh No, I've had this brush for three years and it works very well so pick this up I'll leave a link for it down below. So I hang drown my wings and I hang drying my wigs on a hanger. The hair will dry within maybe eight to ten hours, but if I am in a rush I will use a hooded dryer. Oh big, momma, right here. So this is my hooded dryer. They had me falling off my seat she's, not even that heavy, and this one is a Stella for Salon. Hoodie dryer, I got this one for my local beauty. Supply store, grah got so much going on. This is what she looks like you could do acrobatics. I will speed up the process of dry, my wigs by using the this hooded dryer this one's. I think thirty-six bucks and I got it from my local beauty supply store and you know they mark up stuff girl. Don'T ever buy anything from your local beauty. Supply store, but I was in a rush. I definitely can use this on my natural hair and I can use it on my wigs as well I'll leave a link for this one down below. It'S, not amazing, but it's not bad. I don't it was just affordable. So once I bleached my knots, I also like to tent my lace now I used to use this product, which is the L'Oreal magic cover up, but I find that it gives more of like a gray color to my lace instead of tinting it to my skin. So after watching a few YouTube tutorials, I find that it was best just to make my own DIY lace tip. I also did my own DIY lace, tent tutorial I'll leave that down below as well. I chose to use two different colors and create my own leeston. I'Ve had this one for a few months and I still use it. I love it. So, in order to create your own DIY legs tent, you have to use water a little bit of salt and hair color. So the hair color that I use is the adorn honey brown hair color in the Beijing dark brown hair color. You can buy lace tint, but I don't see why, if you can just make your own and customize it to your skin tone, maybe it's a little bit better girl. I don't know, but I definitely recommend just making your own. Every girl needs a good pair of tweezers for all sorts of reasons. Ingrown hairs and plucking. Your lace get you a good pair of tweezers to pluck your lace to make it look more realistic. Well, pluck your said: pluck your lace pluck the hair on your lace. Pluck the hair on your legs to make it look more realistic and looks like the hair is growing out of your scalp. When I'm cutting my lace, I like to use shears, not scissors shears, two different things. These are a nice stainless, steel shears, but I feel like shears are really sharp and they worked better than the scissors now. I know a lot of the girls like to use razors these days. Those girls are showing off okay, love these, and I think these were only like ten dollars or so get you some shears. It'S worth it. I had my wig grip on now. When I apply my wig, I always first apply my wig grip. A wig grip is basically like the suede headband that you'll put it under under your wig to make sure it doesn't slide back for somebody like me who got a flat back ahead, my wigs slide back a lot, there's nothing holding them down. She saved my edges. She saved my wigs. I don't have to glue down every single way, but even when I grew down my wig, I still use my wig grip, so I keep my wig grip on. I also sometimes use a we cap, but I find wig caps hurt my head. We kept like sits on my head and it's like real tight and I didn't even got a big head. I don't know how the big-headed girls do it because that they hurt so sometimes I won't wear wig cap unless I've stretched it out. So it's important to get a wig cap that matches your skin tone. You can definitely get these from your local beauty supply store, but sometimes some of these Beauty Supply stores be racist as hell girl they only having all types of skin tones. So you can go online to Amazon and pick them up. Yeah I'll leave a link for that down below these are my three go-to wig applying gels. This one is a tried-and-true that got to be glued spiking glue, it's water-resistant, she's thick she's, a thickens, okay and your wig will be laid down for years and when she does come off, it's gon na leave a gunk in your hair. This one is the invincible, styling gel, it's a little bit weaker and it doesn't last as long and, of course it isn't water-resistant, but it still works as well. If there's not like water involved and this one different brand, this is the olive oil, fix-it, grip, gel or ultra hold. Now this one. I have it on right now it is a stronghold, I'm not getting any lifting. When I have on makeup - and I apply my wig - it doesn't apply as well, but I find that my hair likes this gel more than these two. This is the fix-it liquid, spritz gel and it aids in resetting or repositioning lace front, wigs and weaves. So if you want to, you know how your lace lifts a little bit if you sweat or it's oily up in that area when it lifts, you can reposition it and reactivate this gel. By using this, I think it does work, but I don't know if I like it. I don't know if I like how it sprays and stuff like that, but I do like the product I'm going to be carrying this into 2020. I'M gon na keep giving them a try, so once we apply wigs, we put the gel on. We done sat her down break my wonderful mother-in-law. These are like head reps. When I apply my weeks, I don't use scarves I used to use scars, but I've heard that if you use a scarf and it's a satin scarf, it creates more oils and it actually causes your wig to lift quicker. So it's better to use like a clean cotton cloth or like those short hair like those doobie rap papers or whatever it's like a strip. Okay - and I just lay it on my head after I've applied the gel. You can use this on your natural hair as well, if you're molding, so I can't find this particular product online for some reason, but they have different types of paper, this one's made of like a really soft cottony sort of material, but you can get it in Papers which probably is best as well but I'll, try and find something that matches it. When I saw my weeks, I started my wigs on a wig head. That'S the same old trusty dusty. We care that I had before honey look at her. I probably should just go ahead and get another wig head, but guess we got time for that. Not me. I think I got this one from Sally's. It'S five dollars same thing as last year. I can probably afford to get like a real wig head, but I just don't feel like it. So what I use is a wig head. Okay and I got homegirl on an old IKEA lamp post, and I also have my thread that I use to sew hair on to wigs, along with a curved needle. I got this thread from Walmart since I'm not sewing it into my hair. I just use regular like sewing yarn, and you can get a big old spool for like five dollars. Instead of buying like those little itty-bitty spools from your local beauty supply store, it gets annoying when you run out. So I just buy this. I kind of bleached it a little bit because I got some bleach. Oh girl, I'm a mess is what I'm telling you and I also place the wig head on this IKEA Pole, using a toilet paper roll to keep her down, and she doesn't judge me, and nor should you it's a little bit less a little bit ghetto. But guess what you got to do, what you got to do to make things happen and I've been using this for two years: same old, toilet paper, roll to what you see sticking out of her head or t-pins. Now I use T pins to keep my lace. Wig on the wig head, when you're cutting your legs or even styling your hair, if you don't use T pins to keep it down, it's gon na slip off and frustrate you when you're styling it. These are actually T pins from, like the sewing section. The same place that I got this thread now, the wig and hair T pins are actually a little bit longer and thicker, but there really isn't any difference. They function. The same way, I find that these small ones are more accessible, so I got mine from Walmart you're welcome after I've applied my wing and it comes to styling. My wig, I like to use a rat tail comb, get your rat tail comb girl. Just so, you can part your hair easily and all that type said this razor comb. The razor comb helps you to layer, your hair and cut your hair, without it being blunt, so you can just comb through it. It'S easy for those of us that don't know how to cut hair hi. My name is Amira. I don't know how to cut hair. This is a like a tooth brush with a little tiny combing in this is supposed to be for your baby hairs yeah. I don't really use this from our baby hairs. I use this to apply my lace, the one I'm applying my lace I like to take the comb and then press the lace into my head. This allows me to lay down the lace without laying down unnecessary hairs. In creating baby hairs that I don't want, I also enjoy wig clips. Just get you some of these clips, because it helps you to clip the hair out of the way, see one fell swoop and it grabs a whole bunch of hair. I think you need to have at least six or eight of these, so I'll leave a link down below for the ones that you can get from Amazon. But when I'm styling hair, I have fallen in love with the Nairobi phone. I use it on my natural hair. I use it on my wigs. I use it on my human hair, wigs. I use it on my synthetic wigs and I feel that it has a really good hold without it being super hard. It'S more like a soft hold. Now I've used it on this synthetic hair. It did define the curls, so you can see the waves in this hair got myself like it's almost like crimps. It'S like nine ten dollars from your local beauty supply store, but I'm sure you can get it cheaper online and I'll leave a link for that as well. So this one's not really like a super duper favorite, but I just like this blow dryer, it's just a regular blow, dryer blow dryers a blow. Dryer curl. I just think this one's cute because I think it's more, you call it ergonomic. I don't like the handle. I like that, I can hold it like this. That looks so wrong. I this was a Revlon blow dryer from Target, and I think this was like 15 dollars. If you don't have a hot comb and you wear straight wigs or you wear wigs at all, you slip in this hot comb is the Andy's hot comb. This is not the best electronic hot comb, but it is a hot call. What I like to do with my hot comb is: take the back of it and just lay down that hyped-up area. On my wigs. I use the back of it to lay it down, and then I take the column just to really get in there and lay down the hair. Get you a hot comb. This is only 15 bucks, I'm sure there other. There are other hot combs that are better than this one, so y'all leave a comment down below for the hot combs that you like, but this one's definitely my favorite, because she's cheap, the LA girl Pro conceal concealer in order to like define my part on some Of my wigs, especially my synthetic wigs, I love the pro conceal concealer. My skin tone is mostly like fun. I think Fong is my skin tone. The reason why I like this concealer for defining my parts is because it has a brush tip, so you can easily get into your part without having to use like a separate brush, and it's only like $ 2.99. I think she's done I'm starting to foam at the mouth. I'Ve been doing this for so long. Can you made it to the end, leave a little heart, a little pink heart, emoji cuz. That means you're a real one cuz. I probably couldn't even make it this far girl remember to subscribe to my channel hit that notification bell and is there any go-to items that you'd like to use on your wigs, because y'all have such great advice that I've used.
