Hey what is going on everybody? Maybe you have already seen some of the videos like how skull massage stopped my hair loss naturally, and how I kept losing my hair six months later. Of course, this hasn't been made official on the video or the second one. How will skull massage with a wooden brush, reversing my hair loss and how my hairline kept on receding for years later, if you'd like to know why scalp massages are not as effective as YouTube made, you believe what can be realistically expected out of a standardized scalp, Massage, then, you have to watch this video until the very end, because I'm gon na talk about how to achieve a skull, muscle, relaxation, skull pressure, reduction and oxygenation of the scalp tissue for an optimal supply of nutrients in a much more effective and scientifically proven away. As opposed to a scalp massage, let's start this video is brought to you by go fiber hair building, fibers pick up your free sample and get instant hair confidence start your transformation today, hey what's up everybody, my name is Matt and you're, watching my hair loss and Hair transplant related channel make sure you check out the video timeline I put in the video description for an e 0 orientation. Ok for all you watchers, who are completely new to my channel and interested in restoring your hairline or any hairless areas on your scalp. In a satisfactory and i pleasing density, i highly suggest you to check out my free ebook 5 things I wished. I had known before my hair transplant, which is, in my opinion, still the most effective way how to do that now back to the topic of scalp massages, please bear in mind that I'm not attacking or aiming to offend anybody who wants to use or uses scalp Massages to regrow his or hers hair, everybody should do what he or she thinks is going to yield best results, so with no judgement well. The purpose of this video is to provide you with some scientific evidence on scalp massages and leave it entirely up to you whether you decide to do them yourself or not. At the end, I'm gon na provide you with some alternatives, besides scalp massages, to target the issue of scalp tension and low oxygenation. Now, let's take a look at two main studies documented on scalp massages for hair regrowth, but I'm gon na. Do it very briefly just to show you their limitations and low statistical significance in the study from 2016 9 Japanese men applying a standardized scalp massage for 4 minutes a day for a total period of 24 weeks and right at the start, we see a very, very Low sample size showing a pretty low or no statistical significance right away. Nonetheless, the hair density of these 9 subjects after 24 weeks of doing the scalp massage did not really improve. In fact, it worsened a bit, but it's being hypothesized, that by doing a regular scalp massages, some of the telogen hair got knocked out earlier. That way, and that's why it happened, we can observe improved hair thickness. However, after 24 weeks, 10 % more precisely, we have to know that the beginning thickness of their hair was 0.08 5 millimeters, which is considered to be a pretty thick and healthy asian hair, normally within a range of 0.08 to 0.12 millimeters. So, in my opinion, I think that a study on a scalp, massage efficacy, by already much more progressively miniaturized or more androgen sensitive hair should be perform instead, in addition to that, it's also questionable whether a population of Japanese men who rarely suffer from advanced stages of Androgenic alopecia are a good representative group for this LP study. The study number two is a self-assessment of standardized scalp massages, we'll call it SSM for androgenic alopecia, a total of 340 respondents completed the study and 327 reported attempting DSS. Ms SSM participants reported a median daily massage effort of 11 to 20 minutes and a mean adherence of 7.4 to six point six months. This resulted in sixty eight point: nine percent of men, reporting, hair loss, stabilization or some regrowth all right. That sounds good, but again it was self perceived. There was no objective evaluation in that, but, okay, let's go on on average, perceived hair loss, stabilization and hair regrow of occurred after 36 point 3 hours of SSM f-word, which could be translated to about 108 days of doing scalp massages for about 20 minutes each day. However, hair change improvements, we're marginally lower for participants, reporting defuse versus frontal or temporal or vertex thinning. By looking at this graphic, we can see that no significant self-perceived changes occurred until 300 hours of scalp massage f-word, which can be translated to 900 days of doing 20 minutes cow. Massage. This photo right here translates to about 1900 days of doing a regular 20 minutes. Cob massage here we can clearly see that the ssmf word is a function of minutes daily times months and that's why individuals who are performing scalp massages for 40 plus minutes per day reported some benefits already after two point: five months, alright, so here's my brief conclusion On performing scalp massages for hair loss, well, we don't even know how a standardized, scalp, massage routine, should really look like whether one should use his or her hands or should add some additional tools. Things like that. Well, in my opinion, for the time that you put into performing regular scalp massages on your scalp is not worth the benefits really from the evidence that I have seen so far. But please, let me know in the comments below what you think. Of course, every opinion is welcome. Now, before I tell you how to address the issue of mechanical stress, contributing to androgenic alopecia more effectively than just calm massages, we have to understand how to skub how discussion and mechanical stress may play a role in development of androgenic alopecia, regardless the pattern or degree Of severity, androgenic alopecia is always limited to the skin overlying the Galea apron errotica and doesn't go beyond it unless it is alopecia areata or any other hair loss conditional curing also on the occipital region of the region of her scalp. So stress, distribution in the Galea showed a highly significant correlation with androgenic alopecia patterning in this paper, and if you want, of course, I can talk more about Galia at poor neurotic and its role in pathogenesis of androgenic alopecia and another video here are two more effective Ways or more effective ways how to address scarred, muscle, relaxation and scalp pressure reduction first option would be a batula gnam toxin injection. This has been also demonstrated in this study from 2017, where ten men with androgenic alopecia were given, but two Linum toxin injection and after 24 weeks we can clearly see an improvement by eight out of ten guys. This clear improvement has been photographically documented and assessed, and seven out of ten men reported even excellent improvement based upon their own judgment. So again, self-assess injection of botulinum toxin relaxes the muscle which reduces the pressure on the musculocutaneous and perforating vasculature and thereby potentially increasing the blood supply and transcutaneous oxygen pressure. This increased blood flow can also lead to washing out accumulated DHT and thereby reducing the signal for miniaturization of hair follicle. In theory, this pilot study on petroleum toxin concluded at further studies and control trials to compare it with existing fda-approved modalities need to be conducted. The second option would be equally unknown. Carboxy therapy for hair loss, carboxy therapy for hair loss is a non-surgical treatment which involves small injections of carbon dioxide, gas below the skin surface. The treatment stimulates hair growth by improving circulation, oxygenation and the supply of nutrients to the scalp and can be combined with other treatments. These are just my suggestions and further research is needed to address the issue of increasing scope, tension by individuals who are predisposed to androgenic alopecia. I'M not going to go deeper on that or in these two options in this video, because I think just too much information for one video is not good either. So, thank you so much for watching and for all you guys who are interested in a hair transplant and seriously considering it in 2020 and make sure you sign up for a consultation with me, which is a one-on-one meeting where I usually do. The four wink number one: I review your hair situation and explain what word will be possible with your Frizzle next hair transplant number two: I provide reliable hair transplant doctor recommendations, either in your region or worldwide number three, I review the clinic you are already researching or Communicating with and number four I'm providing you with further assistance, after our consultation is over per email, just to make sure you are on the right track. Okay, that was it for this video guys, peace,

MATTDOMINANCE: I´d like to thank the guys mentioned in my video for experimenting with scalp massages and thus giving us a better overview of what can/can´t be expected in terms of hair regrowth and/or hair loss prevention by doing regular scalp massages. As I explained in the video scalp massages are not the ultimate way to target androgenic alopecia however targeting the issue of scalp tension reduction and improving oxygenation in the scalp has been shown beneficial in treating hair loss. In this video, I provided additional alternative treatments targeting these issues effectively (better than scalp massages). 02:20 Study on 9 Japanese men performing standardized scalp massages (non-alopecia subjects) 03:40 Sef assessment study on alopecia and self-diagnosed alopecia patients (Online survey) 05:30 Scalp Massages - My Conclusion 06:05 Study on Mechanical Stress in Androgenic Alopecia 06:40 2 Effective ways to better address Scalp Pressure Reduction and improve Scalp Oxygenation

funkymanner: Hey Matt! Very informative video. I read in a study online that the increased scalp tention could be due the decreased level of subcutaneous fat in the scalp, which leads to miniaturization. Few places actually offer fat injections from one's own fat cells to combat this. What do you think of this theory/treatment? Cheers!

Loopy1: Thanks for the video Matt. I actually purchased a Growband, but only because I was getting physically tired of doing scalp massages. My scalp feels less tight and hair loss has definitely decreased, so I’m just wondering what your thoughts are about Growbands. I did consider Botox but it’s too expensive for me. Thanks Matt!

kwi: Derma rolling and red light therapy works. It sounds crazy, but it honestly regrows hair. You have to be consistent though. Also, carefully sterilizing and cleaning your derma roller or derma pen is really important.

sashrafi90: I think the main point of SSM is to be a cure to chronic, subconscious, muscle tension that reduces blood circulation and even causes tension headaches in some people. Long term natural hair regrowth is just an added bonus

mrivera304: Imagine if Elon Musk invested money into hair loss cure instead of trying to make it to mars.

Vinnie: My experience with head massages is really bad. I've seen many tutorials on how to correctly massage my scalp, and started doing it. At the first two weeks or so I had lots of new hair coming out, although I was losing hair on my hands during shower everyday from the massages. It came to a point that I lost SO MUCH hair, and my tension hasn't released a damn thing anymore. I have even less hair than before the massages and it's completely flat now. I understand the tension thing, and I think that's the key to hair loss problems... but massages only worsened things for me. There must be another way. Maybe it's my posture. I have really bad posture that might be inducing too much tension over my head.

theawesomesausage: I took part in the SSM study by Robert English. The SSM sessions last a total of 15 minutes: 2 minutes warm up, which is just vigorously shaking and moving the scalp to promote blood flow; then 4 minutes of pinching; 3 mins of pressing; 3 mins of stretching; 3 mins of massaging the muscles on the sides. A session is dedicated to the front/hairline area, the crown, and lastly the sides (only massaging the muscles in the back and the sides; none of the pinching and stretching needed).

TheLman77: Hi Matt, what grade of shaving my donor area would you recommend for my first hair cut post FUE. Dr Acar said to wait 4 months before shaving donor area. This seems like an eternity!

D S: I think scalp massage helps reduce stress related hair loss.

Herns Mil: i was an expat many years ago in Singapore. I had my hair treatment 2x~3x a week and scalp massage was one of the treatment I had in the whole session.

CloudTiger: I swear Matt has the best content regarding hair topics

Matt: Have you heard of the scalp exercise you can do by exercising the frontalis and occipital muscles?

StuIsArt: Would I be able to do this once per day for 20 mins and derma stamp once a week and still get results?

raki malireddy: This man has good knowledge

Wally Prichard: Im 44 and now my hair has just started thinning so I made today my first day doing the Detumescence Therapy! ‍

Damaged Grooves: This video is quite dismissive and ill informed. It doesn't scratch the surface of what really factors into the process. It's not just one thing, but an array of healthy habits that if followed correctly and consistently, MAY promote regrowth. In my experience, I've been massaging x2 15min per day and have seen moderate improvements. Don't take advice from butthurt hairtransplant advocates.

IVAN GREY: I endlessly hear contradictory things about Heath, hair loss especially. if it gets too bad I'll shave my head get a Barcode tattoo on the back of my Head & call it a Day.

j: So my question is why did the guys who massaged with the wooden brush see significant improvement initially and then the hair loss continued?

M0RN1N6 5T4R: It’s not worth the effort if you’re lazy. Anything that requires discipline lazy people don’t want to adhere to. Looking at the picture the dude put a lot of time to get the hair back. It always gets worst before it gets better.

Data Lore: I mean no offense by saying this, but your transplant is obvious. Right away, it looks like you had a hair transplant and that sort of defeats the purpose. Do you regret choosing the doctor who did the surgery? There is no way of knowing ahead of time what your end results will be, and everyone's results will be different.

Dayum boy Dayum: My hair has started thinning a lot on the sides of my head. Does that mean my hairloss has been caused by stress? My hair on top of my head also doesn’t follow the norward pattern, it thinning in random areas

Sooper Dooshy: just so you know, rob, the guy that conducted the second study, recorded videos to show people how to massage. I can dm you the link if you're interested. I'm not sure I can post it in public as it was recorded for his followers and the subjects of the study

Nahum Dyer: Darn' it sucks that the scalp massage method doesn't really work which is very discouraging to hear. I unfortunately have a bald spot that I've noticed since i was 26 or somewhere in my late 20s which lowered my self-confidence even more to point where i usually wear my hat in most of my videos and when am around other people. I'm unfortunately 38 and still have a bald spot. I recently started using a Boar Bristle hair bush on my bald spot area to hopefully help with the blood circulation to regrow my lost hair but i doubt that the Boar Bristle hair brush will work. If i can't get rid of at least a majority of my bald spot by time i turn 40' am just going to just quit trying and accept the cold reality of me not able to restore my lost hair. I would ask' why do men's hair take too long to regrow from hair loss while men's facial hair takes two or a few days for men's facial hair to start growing back quick after shaving?

Shawn Paul Zuccarello Rizzo: Pretty cool. I’m just now seeing hairline recession

Jean Baro: Love your videos! Would you recommend any top notch hair Dr. In Brazil?

Kevin Limpert: So Matt I followed your journey from the beginning and you had the hairloss pattern that I had too .I know you used and endorse the go fybre concealer .are you done with that .is it all you now . have you recovered all your hair

Children’s toys and Cartoons for children: Can u regrow new hair with scalp massage???

SDRockman: What MAKES the scalp tight in the first place? Unless people know what makes the scalp tight, the problem will never ever get resolved.

Dan: Is scalp tension even real or just a myth?

Joker Kenny: Why are you promoting Carboxytherapy and botox on head when you say yourself more research is needed just like Scalp massages. Doesn't make sense to me

Vivek: i guess u missed this https://perfecthairhealth.com/before-after-photos/ he published papers on this by conducting research ,he have unique scalp massage method based on studies

strangerman: imagine massaging your own scalp for 20 min per day, thats a damn workout. No thanks

alexis Montoya: Hey just got a fut procedure today does anyone know when the pain stop

mimoocho dom: Can't somebody just find a cure.

David 1983: miracles?? hahaha... massages can help but they aren´t miracles. If you DHT is high, you have hair loss. Finasterida is the best result and can be candidate for transplant. Matt thanks for your videos.

Adam Webb: Matt I get Botox, I’ve asked my nurse to do the scalp injections, we will begin my next round soon. I’ll report the results month on month when I begin!

Fay A: Is brushing hair and standing upside down help hair growth?

D1V3RS10N: Not a lot of data for afro, or very curly hair.

fairy beauty: Scalp tightning treatment or massage please told me

Johnny Ak: Hi Matt, how can I book in a one on one with you?

Reymon Ho: Discouraging those who tried then promote a product?

DR. Crazy: Nearly No way Mat

Elian Segovia: It’s better to have some than none at all tbh

Macros Paticawen: If you discount something and then promote or sell something else, your purpose is very questionable. Sorry, I won't buy any of your products.

Good Customer: So is he saying that scalp massage good for your hair or not?

Shah 33: What do you think about growband?

Mohammad Khan: Looking fly Matt!

avalon NewWay: Avoid stress, junk food and meat causing premature aging.

Zon Depa: Ok, putting Dmitry as example pic in negative way might cause you loosing your fresh HT ;-) The purpose of this video my friend, is to sell some stuff!

Colonial REPM Maintenance: Says the man with the hair transplant
