Finally Trying The Briogeo Banana Shampoo & Conditioner On My Wavy Hair!! 2022

Hey guys welcome back, i am so excited to be filming another hair video. This is my first wash day since i got my hair done. I did a whole vlog, definitely check that out if you haven't yet, but today i'm finally going to be trying out something that i've been wanting to for a really long time. I'Ve kind of put it off. These are definitely not new products by any means, but the briogeo banana and coconut superfoods hair pack - i have it here, it is the be gentle, be kind banana and coconut, nourishing superfood, conditioner and shampoo. So many people have been raving about these for years now and i just haven't hopped on the bandwagon. I do have some products from briogeo that i absolutely love, but i'm really excited to try these out a lot of people. Talk about this banana scent that it's like a kind of that synthetic sweet banana scent and that's part of the reason that i kind of held back from trying. These is because i have kind of been iffy about that scent. It'S not my favorite, but so many people raved about it, that i decided i'm finally gon na try it and i will say, even though i haven't smelled these specific products yet they're still sealed. I did the other day at tj. T.J.Maxx see a like body. Cream version of this and i smelled it - and i was still a little bit on the fence about the scent something about it. I really like that sweet creamy scent, but then also the fake banana. I don't know what it is about that you guys i, when i was a kid i ate way too many banana popsicles, that's a whole story that we won't get into in this video, but for some reason i just feel like i've had too much of it. Um, but i'm gon na give these a chance anyways, so we're gon na snip them on camera. So we'll start with the shampoo, it's like a clear liquid. It doesn't look like it's going to be overly moisturizing when you just look at it, but we're going to see the seal is really really hard to tear off. Oh, my gosh, you guys this is much more difficult than it should be. Okay, okay. I definitely smell that synthetic banana scent, but it almost doesn't smell as strong as it did in that body cream. It almost comes out more of something else. I can't figure out what i'm really excited to smell this. In my hair, though, because people said that kind of like transforms in your hair - and i know everyone says, if you don't like synthetic banana - don't get this and honestly, if you really hate it, then yeah don't, but i wasn't sure how i was going to feel So i'm glad i don't hate it, but i'm really excited to see how it smells in my hair, okay, the conditioner almost smells slightly different, like almost more creamy, maybe like pudding or something i can't figure out which one i like more. But let's put these to adjust, so so all right guys, so i'm here to share with you my final, like first impression thoughts. It'S actually the next day. I was gon na film this last night, but it got late really fast. I decided to wait for natural lighting, figured it's just as easy to film today. So starting with the shampoo, i found that this was very, very cleansing. It lathered up really really nicely, which i really like in a shampoo i like when it lathers up but doesn't leave my hair feeling like super dry and tangly and stripped, and this did not do that at all. I felt like my hair still like had moisture in it. It'S definitely a very thin runny liquidy product, so it's easy for it to kind of run out of your hands. If you're, not careful, that's the only thing with this, i like how thin it is when you're applying it to your hair, because it just spreads so easily, but when you're actually putting it in your hands to apply it, it's just very, very liquidy, totally just something To note it's not like a deal breaker for me because, like i said i do like it when i'm actually applying it to my hair, i just feel like it can get a little bit messy if you're, not careful, definitely very enjoyable to use the smell is Growing on me, more and more i will say before i even get into the conditioner. This is not lingering in my hair next day, but i want it because i know that people said it lingers, but i want to say that i think the reason, for me at least, is because my hair literally still just smells like dye. You know that, scent after you leave the salon and even like for your next wash or two how your hair will kind of have that scent of like fresh dye. Well, that's how my hair smells and it kind of overpowers any like scent in products so like i'll smell it, obviously as i'm using the product, but then once my hair is styled and dry. I just can't really smell anything besides that, like kind of fresh dye smell, it's not overpowering or like nauseating it just kind of overtakes the smell of like a product. So i feel, like my opinion, on whether this scent lasts in your hair hasn't been established yet because i have to keep trying it once this sort of scent fades from my hair, and i can tell if it's gon na last, so i'm gon na have to Update you guys on that, but for the conditioner it's definitely very thick and creamy yeah you guys the scent is growing on me, the more i smell it. It'S very like sweet, definitely very enjoyable to use really detangled my hair and did what i wanted to do. Did what i want from a conditioner didn't weigh my hair down or anything like that, so that was really nice. I will say you guys with these combined, i felt like i got a similar result and don't take it that these are like the same type of product they're not similar in scent they're, not similar in texture, the umberto giannini curl jelly wash shampoo and conditioner. I'Ve been talking about that lately, how much i love those together when i use them together. I just get such beautiful results and i feel, like my hair, is so hydrated and clean and not weighed down, and i felt like i got similar results with these, like i said no similarity in texture when you're using them. You wouldn't think that there's like anything similar because the scent it doesn't smell the same like they're, very different products, but just the results that i get like when my hair is still wet even like how it feels and like the way it nicely clumps together. And i get that definition and my hair feels so just plump and juicy and not weighed down like i can't describe it. That'S what i feel like i get with this shampoo and conditioner, and with that shampoo and conditioner. So for me, i'm kind of at the place right now, where i love these they're actually so nice to use - and i can't say anything bad about them other than just the fact that they're so much more expensive than the umberto giannini ones like this has a Value of sixty dollars - these are like 29 each. I think, but if you get this set, you pay 49. So it's about 50 dollars, so you get about five dollars off. If you buy these together, i believe that the umberto giannini ones are around twelve dollars. I'M gon na have to check that again, but it's like less than half the price, so that's kind of what i'm looking at right now. Obviously, these smell completely different. The curl jelly, wash uh, shampoo and conditioner smell very light. It'S nothing overpowering! It'S just a nice clean scent. The texture is completely different. Like i said, the conditioner from that line is a lot um lighter feeling than this conditioner. It doesn't feel like it's thick and creamy, although i do feel like i get the same results and the shampoo is also completely different. The curl jelly wash shampoo is a very, very thick like intense shampoo. It takes a lot of water to break down that shampoo to where you can actually spread it through your hair and use it, whereas this one is thin, spreads super easily gives me. I feel like the same results as that one. As far as like just cleansing my hair and lathering up really nicely but they're very, very different products, and i know it seems odd to compare products that are so different. I know that everyone's hair is very different, so maybe you would not experience that at all and you would have very different results with those versus these. But for my hair and me personally, i got very similar results and that's really all i can say about it because i haven't tested this on anyone else's hair. But you know if you've been wanting to try these and you are willing to spend the money, and you know that you're gon na like the scent, then i do think it's worth it, because i think that these are really really nice and just everything about it Is enjoyable to use yeah, i'm just surprised at how much the scent has been growing on me. I'M really excited to see if it will last in my hair later on um as i keep using it, but yeah i mean there's not much else. I can say you get 12.5 fluid ounces in each of these, which isn't like a massive amount for how pricey these are. But you know briojio is a more pricey haircare brand. I have other hair products from them that i really love and recommend. I have other just in general high-end hair products that i use and recommend. So i feel like it would be hypocritical of me to say: don't spend your money on these because i don't only use like drugstore products, i'm just letting you guys know that. For me, i had a similar result with something more affordable, so i wanted to let you guys know that in case you want to try the other ones out, also really quickly. Before i leave, i was going to tell you guys what i used to style. My hair afterwards, i actually used something from umberto giannini. This is their banana butter repair and restore leave-in conditioner, and it comes in a tub like this. It'S very thick product, it's very, very moisturizing. So i use a small amount of this, but when i do i really like it - and i honestly just used it mainly to kind of prolong the life of that scent, although it didn't really work because of that dye scent. But then also honestly, you guys, i don't like this fake banana scent. This is like more of that fake uh, laffy taffy banana without anything else in it like it's almost nauseating, whereas these have like a creamy sweetness to them that isn't so overwhelming. Yes, it's it's strong banana, don't get me wrong, but there's other things mixed in with that, whereas this is just like strictly banana - and i just am not a fan of this scent personally, but i just figured it would go well together and i do like the Product and then i also use the curl smith, hydro style, flexi jelly. This is a really really great gel that has good strong hold, and it also provides like some extra moisture and like locks in that hydration in your hair. It doesn't smell anything like those products. This is like a really strong floral kind of clean scent, but it also kind of faded in my hair really quickly and, like i said 100 times, was overtaken by the dye scent so anyways. That'S what i use to style, my hair. I really love using something with some moisture and hold together, it's a great little combo, but that is all that i had to share with you guys today for this video. Hopefully i didn't talk too long. I really wanted to get my thoughts across again. This is just a first impression, so i'm gon na have to keep trying these out. I know i don't always do the best at updating you guys on things, but i am going to try to remember so. I really hope that you enjoyed this video.
