Beach Hair Care Routine With Aloe Shampoo + Easy Braid Hairstyle

Hey everyone! This is my self- care day super pampering summer hair care routine to get hydrated and healthy hair when I’m going to/from the ocean all summer long. In this video, I show you my start to finish routine using aloe vera hair products from the Herbal Essence Potent Aloe Collection and then show you how to do my favorite (super easy) braided hairstyle.

Hey everyone it's erin here and i thought i would share with you guys my super pampering summer, beach, hair care routine and how i keep my hair healthy and hydrated with my ocean oriented lifestyle. So i'm partnering up with herbal essences to share their potent aloe collection. Focusing on aloe and its many benefits through a start to finish, hair care routine. The potent aloe collections contain real botanicals, endorsed by the royal botanic gardens cute to keep hair healthy and protected. The cute gardens is actually high up on my bucket list of places to visit, because it's one of the biggest and best plant conservatories in the world ewg verified, which means that they meet the strictest standards on ingredient, transparency and manufacturing and they're also certified pita cruelty. Free aloe vera is a very special plant with a ton of benefits. Aloe vera is made of 95 water and full of polysaccharides, which are known to provide a lot of moisture and soothing, which is why aloe is used a ton for treating sunburn skin and the aloe vera ingredients in these herbal essences products are from an aloe vera Farm in mexico, every time i get back from the beach i like to go through this routine and it's just really relaxing and pampering. So first i shampoo and wash my hair really well and gently massage the product into my scalp until it creates a rich lather. The eucalyptus and cool menthol in these products make my scalp feel so refreshing and tingly. I also noticed that the aloe adds a really thick texture to the shampoo making it super hydrating. It'S also sulfate free, ph, balanced and gentle enough to use every day on color treated hair. So next i use the aloe vera and eucalyptus conditioner, which makes my hair really soft and manageable. It has honeydew melon, cool, menthol and white floral scents and i basically work it into my hair from roots to scalp, but mainly focusing on my ends, which are really dry so obviously being at the beach and going in the ocean. Frequently really takes a toll on my hair, so what saves my hair is a conditioner mask. This is the one i have been using lately. It'S the coconut milk and aloe botanical hydrating mask and this stuff is a miracle in a jar. So, basically after i shampoo and condition my hair - and i want an extra hydration boost i'll apply, this coconut milk and aloe hydrating botanical mask all over and really work it through ensure that it goes all throughout my hair and this stuff really repairs my ends and Keeps it nice and hydrated the last step in my hair care routine, is to use this argan oil and aloe repair lightweight mist, and this stuff is absolutely amazing, because i can spray it either on dry or damp hair. So if i'm at the beach all day and my hair is super dry and i just want a nice light refresher - i just spray this all over and i get rid of any frizz and it makes my hair actually look pretty nice and then another time. I use this is post shower i like to curl my hair out and then spray some in as kind of a extra leave-in treatment, so this stuff really helps smooth your hair detangle any knots and just get rid of any frizziness. So that's basically what my start to finish. Hair care routine looks like with the herbal essences potent aloe collection, and i actually just went through that routine and my hair is feeling pretty nice actually still has a really loose wave. So. Lastly, i wanted to share with you guys my personal favorite hairstyle for the summer. It'S super low maintenance and easy to do so. Let'S go step into the bathroom and i'll show you how to do it. Okay, so i'm in the bathroom and i'm going to show you guys how i like to do a really quick, braided hairstyle super easy and low maintenance and perfect for summer. So first thing i'm going to do is shake up my herbal essences lightweight oil and spray that probably from my cheeks down just to give it some hydration and to get rid of frizz. I take a two inch section of my hair at the front and kind of twist for a little and then i start the braid and it's really simple, just a three stranded braid. So basically, these braid pieces are going to form a little half crown for my hair. So once i do one section just going to do, the other side same thing grab about two inches of hair twist and then start braiding. So the cool thing about this hairstyle is you can make the braids as thick as you want right now. I made them kind of thin, so i'm just going to pull them out a bit to make it a little less perfect, just pull it out on both sides and then the last step is to just fasten it. In the back of your head, i kind of like to twist the strands together so that they'll stay and then all you need is a couple of bobby pins and just secure it into place. And then i like to loosen everything so i'll, just adjust how the braid looks. Maybe pull out a few pieces in the front to frame my face a little and just kind of tousle. It like i said, super easy, but it's one of my favorite summer hairstyles. Alright, so this is the finished. Look super cute just a little bit of a braid detail so anyway, that is what my hair care routine looks like. Star 123: I am suspicious of any sulphate free shampoos that lather up so much that it takes 10 minutes to rinse out. Good grief! I’ve been sulphate free for over a year but I was in the shower and realized my shampoo was missing so I used my daughter’s bottle of Herbal Essences. The amount of lather was so annoying. It tripled the time of my shampooing. I would pass on this this ‘sulphate free’ shampoo bc the manufacturer has found another surfactant to create suds even if it isn’t technically a sulphate.
