What To Know Before Starting Your Hair Care Business | Do This Better Starting Your Beauty Business

So basically, this video is about what you need to know before, starting your hair care business, because i've gotten a lot of dms on instagram i've, gotten emails of people. You know reaching out asking me questions about starting their own hair care, business or skin care whichever, but what you need to know is, i feel like right now like i have. To be honest, i feel like it's a trend. Everyone wants to do like you know, hair care skincare, which is good, there's nothing wrong with that. You know as long a day you're doing something that's going to be beneficial to other people and you're making money. But the only thing i have to say is: don't just go in it because you see everybody else is doing it, don't just go on it because for the money do not go on it simply the money is great. The money is a part of it. Of course, we all start a business because we want to make good money and also we want to help other people. But if you're going into this type of business solely for the money, then you probably always think one time i'm just telling you that right now i've been making my own own hair products since 2015, so we're in 2021. It'S almost six years now, but i've been in business for, like i would say, two years now, so it's not something that's going to like blow up overnight like because you see other people do it. You know some people start within six eight months a year. They do, you know, see success which is great, but if you're just gon na go in it because you see other people, do it you're, probably not gon na last, because do this because you have a. Why do this? Because there's a reason go into this business because you want to help other women or the men kids, who, whichever you're, trying to whoever you're trying to help go into it with a purpose, go into it for a reason. Um. I don't know if you guys have seen my um video about alopecia the reason behind i started my k, um all all natural hair care product. If you haven't seen that video i'll, probably link it in the description box, it's gon na be somewhere up here, but you know i have a story to tell that. There'S a reason why i started making hair product. I didn't. I didn't wake up one day and be like home. Let me start making hair product to sell. You know like, i feel, like anything that you're doing in life. You need to have a why a reason and a purpose like what's the reason behind it? What'S the story behind, why are you doing it for that reason, for what purpose? How is it going to be beneficial to other people? You don't just do something because of you, because you see other people do it do it because you know you're going to help other people. That'S just how i see it like me. I have a story behind my hair care product because before i use using product that was, you know toxic to my hair that had lots of chemicals. I decided that i need to make something that i had control over. I decided to make product that, were, you know, you know, have natural ingredients in them and i decided to make product that was going to help heal this cup. That was my purpose. That was my reason. I wanted to help with the woman, because at some point i was really insecure about my hair. So that's why i decided to do this to go into this business. You know this is something that i've been in for the past five years. It'S not something that i woke up one day and be like. Let me do it so. I'Ve gotten i've gotten a lot of emails and messages on instagram and dm the people asking me to help you like one thing. I have to tell you guys, even though i give you guys, tips and advice on how to start your business and how to go about it. I'M not going to tell you how exactly to do it from point a to point um to z, because some people, it's like they're looking for you to literally tell them from a to z, and i wish that i could do that. But unfortunately, like i don't have the time to do it once and then two it's like i've spent a lot of time doing my own research. You know like for me to just do everything for free. It really does not make sense, see what i'm saying like. I can give you, you know some advice and i can tell you where to get this way to get that. But i didn't know the day. I can't you know, do the business for you. So when it comes to hair product um, there's all type of hair products, some people focus on. You know curly hair. They want to make sure that your curl, your curls, are popping some people focus on. You know providing moisture to your hair. Make sure your hair is well moisturized, because some people have dry, hair, dry, scalp and then some people focus on hair growth to making sure that you're using product that's going to put more hair growth. And then some people do product because they want to treat the scalp, because some people have you know: dry, scalp, dandruff, eczema, burning scalp, like all these itchy scalps and people want to do their product to you know, treat a specific um. You know cause like. I would say so before you go into this business. What you need to know is what type of product that you want to do, and first thing you need to do you first thing you need to know is um. Are you going to be making your own product at home? So that's very important: are you going to do private label? Private label means? Are you going to get the product from a manufacturer and you're going to put your labels on it? You need to figure out what you're going to do, because, depending on what you choose to do it's going to determine how you're going to run your business or how much it's going to cost. I can't tell you what you want to do um, because i don't know your budget. I don't know how much money you have, but you need to understand. Are you going to be making your own product at home or you're, going to buy it from somewhere else and put your labels on it? Um? You need to know where to. If you decide to do make your own product at home. You need to know where to buy all the ingredients for your product and bulk instead of buying them. You know like in small quantities um, because when you do that you kind of like waste money, so it's better to buy product in bulk. So i'm just giving you guys some advice here and there i'm not technically telling you what to do and how you should do it. That'S going to be up to you because everybody is different me. I started my product. I started making product at home um until now, i'm still making them at home my product homemade, and that's just what i do for myself, and one thing i would say is when it comes to like um starting a business or any type of business. You have to be able to stay consistent and you have to be patient just because you see someone else started their business and they blew up all of a sudden that doesn't mean like you. If you're not making like progress or you're, not making sales, don't get discouraged, stay consistent, stay positive, stay like be patient, like your time will come because i feel like a lot of people will start, but they tend to like you know they get discouraged or they Give up but like success. Success does not happen overnight, so i just wanted to answer some of the questions that i've been getting in. My dance will be like um. Where do you get your oils when you get this and then one thing if people are literally asking me, where do i get every single thing? I can't tell you exactly everything that i put in my product, because that wouldn't make sense, because i didn't it is a business like so i mean you can ask me other questions of how to get certain things, but not exactly what i put in my product. If that makes sense, so i just wanted to clear that up. I can't tell you exactly what i put in my product or how it's made. I can show you behind the scene of me, making my product and everything, but for me to go into details of how i make it. What i put in there will be like it'll be crazy because identity. This is my business and another thing i want you to to do or know before you start your business. Make sure you do your research make sure you know what you're going to do and make sure you like take the time to study other people. Who'S who's been in the business who's already successful who's already making money who's already, i mean who's already up there. You know these are the type of readings to be following, even like, even for example, in your business instagram. If you making all natural hair care or like soap or whatever, you need to be following people, who's been in the game, who's actually doing it, who's actually making it like. Those are the people that you need to i'm not saying to copy them, but they should be your model that these people should be like, exploit and speak, but yeah guys. So i know i said that i was going to you know another thing guys. I know i said that i was going to be coming out with an ebook but um i felt like the ebook wasn't going to be enough, so i'm actually planning something else like i'm putting something else where i can literally help. You take your business from a to z. I think this is going to be more useful because the ebook i was going to do. I was basically going to put like a list of items together that you're going to need to start your hair business. I feel like this is it's not enough. I feel like you need more. You literally need more. You need, like a team to help you um get this thing rolling, so i'm literally working on that. Instead, i i'm holding off on the ebook for now i'm putting together something that's going to be more useful, something that you can actually um use that will help. You understand this type of business, something that's going to help you like from start to finish. So that's just what i'm working on right now. This is the reason why i didn't release the ebook. I was supposed to release it two weeks ago, but i decided that i need to come out with something that's going to have way more information than the ebook, because the ebook was going to be just pretty small, so i'm basically working on that right now. So be patient guys. I know some of you have sent me dms and emails. I apologize if i haven't been responding to everyone, but i'm trying my best to respond to all of you, but in the meantime, keep doing your research and, like i said, make sure you know that this like business, is not easy like to want a business. It is not easy like if you don't, if it's not your thing, if you're just doing it, because someone is telling you to do it or you're doing it, because you see other people do it like, i feel like you will not make it because it is Not easy, i'm going to tell you this straight up. It is easier to just literally go fill out a job application, get a job like starting your own business, because you need to understand when you first starting out, you are the ceo you're, the assistant you're, the manager you're like everything to this business, and it is Very time consuming especially um for me mine, i make my own product at home. I literally make everything i put the product in the bottle. I put the labels on i ship everything i print out, labels that i come in. I answer questions. If a customer have an issue, i have to answer emails and i still have other things to do. I have another like i have a life so at the end of the day, you have to understand like. Is this something that you're ready for? But it's all about your mindset, i feel like if you believe that you can do it, you will do it. It literally has to be in your mind. You have to say to yourself. This is what i want. I'Ve invested time. I'Ve invested money like i cannot fail like for me. This is what i say to myself. I'M like i've come this far like failing it. Is it's not an option like for me? I know that's for sure i cannot fail. I will not fail because i've invested so much time and money and energy into this, and it's something i want to do. I'Ve been wanting to do this for years. So now it's the time for me to legit focus on this business and guys um, i'm gon na be dropping out more videos for you guys, because i actually recorded a few videos of me making products and behind the scene of packing orders. So i have a few a few videos recorded for you guys that i'm gon na be dropping soon um, because i know some of you enjoy this type of video, especially any um. Anybody who's in the skincare hair care business, especially someone who's starting from scratch, especially someone who you know who's doing this from home who's. Doing everything like this type of videos are for you because i legit started. Why do i keep saying legit? Oh, my god, that is not even how i speak um i so i literally started this thing from the ground up. I started with less than a hundred dollars, so it's not something i didn't have a big loan or big funds available for this business. So i am with you and i understand you so um if you like the fastest way to reach me guys, is to instagram, like you have like if you're not following me, the fastest way to because i i i'm always on instagram, because you know i'll be Posting for my business in my personal instagram, i answer you.
