Let'S talk about the most overrated hair products on the market, if you're new to my channel and if you're not welcome back oh mike um, who i'm a hairdresser, a l'oreal, color specialist, a makeup fan and a skincare lover in today's film, i will be doing top Five, most overrated hair products on the market, in my opinion, so if you want to find out what products i think are overrated, they're, wasting money and they're, actually not that good, then you better keep on watching. What is this story? Everyone in today's film we are doing top five overrated hair products on the market and the whole idea behind this film is it's all about products that are good and they're, so overrated, they're, good products, but they're so overrated, everyone uses them and no one is really Getting the results they want because they're so overrated they're a trend and, as we all know, we do not like trends because trends don't work for everyone and one shoe does not fit also something that might work for. You may not work for you, so you guys. I have here five products that are way overrated. Those products that i got feedback on from my client products that i used myself and i wasn't too impressed with products i've used on my clients and overall products that are just viral and overrated. So you guys starting off with first overrated product color wow dream filter when it comes to color, wow, dream filter. I think this product is so so over hyped and overrated. It was all over instagram tick tock. It was all over everywhere, and this product was meant to remove minerals from your hair, like that, i did review this product on my channel along the side with other color wow hair products, and you guys this product didn't really do much to my hair. I definitely think this product is so overrated and, as you all know, i do live in ireland, and the water in ireland is septic. So i don't know if color wow is made for a very, very softly hard water, then like a proper hard water, because it did not do anything to my hair. It did not do anything to clients of mine. I had clients using the dream filter because their water was so hard and the hair just felt meh, but it literally didn't do anything because i'd like that product is it's a good concept. It'S a good idea, but the execution of the actual product is not there and it didn't remove any hard water. However, i do think, if you're using something else for hard water, if there's no harm of using this product, but this product is not a dream. Filter magic in a bottle that will just magically remove all the minerals from your hair because it does not moroccan oil shampoos. Now you guys, if you know me, if you watch me, you know that i'm not a fan of moroccano shampoos. However, we do stock them in the shop that i work with, but i despise and i absolutely despise moroccan oil hair shampoos. I wouldn't wash my dog with it - i think they're, so over hyped overrated and they're huge waste to money. The scent the actual texture of the product and the range i mean at the moment you have the purple shampoo, which is all right. You have the hydrated red, pear, smooth and like it's just such a small range of shampoos, and i just stay clear from it. The only good shampoo out of the whole range in moroccan oil is probably the clarifying shampoo and it is very hard to get, and i think it's actually out of stock at the moment, but the rest of shampoos. They are a muck. The hair feels disgusting. Afterwards, it's too heavy, however, the marking or shampoos are good for a certain type of hair, but it's not good for everyone and that's the thing: it's not good for everyone. It is very much for a specific client and they will work fine, but the smell. The texture and everything about that shampoo is a muk. I think they should be just burned on a steak for some of you, the next overrated hair product or should i say products would be a shock, but this is olaplex shampoo and a conditioner guys. I'Ve been asked a million times about all the plaques to review it on my channel to review the shampoos, but i want why listen to what? Let'S talk about it, hear me out on olaplex, olaplex was launched as a bond strengthening system for colorist and for hairdressers, and it was magical and it is still - and i can take that away from oliplex what all the plex does when it's added to a hair. Color or a lightening product is amazing, and you know what i wish all the plex just stated that, because what they do for hair color is like that, their bone strengthening system, so it repairs the bonds in the hair. While your hair is being colored, which means it will minimize the oxidization stress on your hair, meaning your hair will be less damage during coloring. Now when it comes to shampoos and the conditioners, i don't think it's a bad product at all. However, like i said, one shoe does not fit all and i've seen it in my chair and clients have different hair concerns. Their hair was falling out, their hair was dry, their hair was damaged and they were all saying to me. Well, i even got the olaplex shampoo and the conditioner. No, no, no, no, no right oliplex is good for what it does. So if you had an olaplex treatment in the salon, right maintain it with the shampoo and the conditioner, but don't think that olaplex is just gon na fix your hair. It'S not a magic in the bottle. It'S not a holy water that shampoo and the conditioner will not get rid of every of your hair concern within the use. Do you know what i mean the shampoo and the conditioner is good like that, if you want to maintain all the flex in your hair, but if your hair is dry and you think you're going to buy this shampoo and buy this conditioner and it's going to Do magic and your hair will be beautiful. You are lying to yourself because, as we all know, instagram is not real life and like that, if you have certain hair concerns yeah, it might be good. But if your concerns are different, you need to look into different hair care products so yeah. Overall, i think olaplex is overrated, it's overpriced and yeah like one. She does not fit all and it will not fix every single hair problem on the planet. The next overrater hair product is probably one of the worst ones on the market, and i think they should just stop doing what they're doing and that product is batiste dry shampoo. If you watch me and you probably have or if you haven't, you know that i'm not a big fan of dry shampoo and yet i have to probably the only good dry shampoo that i've ever used was the mark and all dry shampoo. But overall i think batiste is horrible right, it's so overrated! It'S so everyone just thinks that it's gon na fix, but one it builds up on your hair. It leaves the residue, it does not smell nice, it does not refresh your hair and i think it actually wasn't the problem. They have all those different volumizing ones for blonde hair brown hair. It'S all a mock and a hateful dirt and like that, i would love to see a dry shampoo that actually works like a dry shampoo, but when it comes to batiste, i think it actually gives a tacky horrible smell to your hair. It builds up on the hair, it's very hard to get rid of it out of the hair. It clogs the pores and it just does everything that a dry shampoo. She didn't do to your hair and like that, it's just so overrated and over hyped and there's nothing special about it, because you can pick up any other dry shampoo that could be probably cheaper or even more expensive one and it will do probably the same thing Or, if not better than batis, but overall i think batiste is just a mug right. You guys the next and the last over hyped products on the hair market and i'm saying products because there's few of them are kevin. Murphy shampoos, guys kevin murphy, is no stranger to this channel and there's no lie. I do love kevin murphy's style of products, they are the bomb. But, however, when it comes to kevin murphy shampoos, i think they're so overrated and over hyped and i've given kevin murphy. A go - and it just did not work for me and from experience and from talking to people talking to other stylists talking to customers like that it was all about the hype. So people were like right. I'M gon na buy kevin murphy because it's the god of hair care and they've used it, and you know it worked for some of them. It didn't work for some of them. I'D say one out of five people will love kevin murphy and the product will work for the other four people. That shampoo will just do nothing for my hair, i just i was very let down by kevin murphy shampoos like they were nice shampoos, but for the hype that people build up about those shampoos. I didn't think it was anything amazing and, i think they're just overly hyped. However, what i must say about kevin murphy is that their styling products are one of the best ones and they are amazing when it comes to overrated and over hyped hair products. There isn't that many on the market, but when it comes to color wow dream filter. I think, like i mean guys, i want this product to work, but it doesn't work really like it might remove some of it, but it actually doesn't give you the result that i would love to give it and when it comes to mark and all shampoos, they're, Just muck i wouldn't wash my dog with it. I probably wouldn't even wash my body with it. If i could the scent the texture anything about it deranged and then we have all the plex shampoo and conditioner all the plaques as a brand. They are doing magic to your hair, however, the shampoo and the conditioner is so overhyped and overrated, and one shoe does not fit all so if you use an oliplex, shampoo and conditioner and you find it, it doesn't really do too much to your hair. That'S because probably it's not the right, shampoo and a conditioner for your hair and it will not fix every single problem on the earth, but this dry, shampoo is just a name and people are using it. I don't know why they need to stop using and doing what they're doing, because i think there's so many other dry shampoos that will do exactly the same thing: whether it's boots, one ear dry, shampoo or the one from pennies. It will probably do nearly better job than batis and then we have kevin murphy. Kevin morphy has a brand. I love it. However, the shampoos are so overrated, overhyped and overpriced, and they are not for everyone and, like i said you guys, those are overweighted and over hyped products, in my opinion, anyways guys. Thank you for watching today's film. I hope you found this film rather interesting, helpful and useful. Please, like share comment and subscribe to my channel, also check out my other social media and, of course, you guys. Please please, please do take care bye,

Nazrin Mammadova: Hi Mike, I used to be an Olaplex fan for quite a long time, and my hair has always been very strong and healthy (no breakage) for which I’m thankful to this brand. However, Olaplex never agreed with my scalp. Especially, the shampoo No4 didnt give me that squeaky clean feeling anymore and my scalp was greasy right the next day. I also started to experience hair-fall from the roots (perhaps due to greasiness, idk). So, I decided to switch to Kerastase and bought shampoo and conditioner from their Extentioniste range. I searched for your reviews, but you never mentioned this line in your videos. I have very thin hair with oily scalp and normal-to-dry ends. And now, I’m just thinking if I made the right choice by selecting the products from Extentioniste line. I need something not over-stripping or not over-nourishing. I hope you see my comment, your recommendations are much appreciated! Good luck with your future content ❤️

שרון דודאי: Agree with the olaplex no 4&5. used to wash my hair with these and my hair didn’t felt great honestly… but I love the olaplex no 3 tho!! One of the best hair products I’ve used on my hair. Would love to hear your review on the kerestase initialiste serum

Kelly E.: Maybe it's just me but Batiste works so well on my hair. Sometimes if i want to save money ill use cornstarch on a kabuki brush, but I prefer Batiste. It's not sticky, it smells nice and it makes my hair look freshly washed with no weird residue once I massage it in with my fingers. I don't have an issue with buildup because I shower the same night I apply the dry shampoo in the morning. I have to use dry shampoo on second day hair or else my hair looks like it hasn't been washed in a week. Ideally I should wash my hair everyday but my skin extremely dry so showering, doing skincare skincare then drying my long hair is such a lengthy process.

Mary Knudson: Hi! Have you ever reviewed the rest of the olaplex products? I actually discovered your channel while looking for a better shampoo and conditioner than theirs but I like their treatments so far. What are your thoughts?

Giulia Meli: So true about olaplex 4! I love the 0,1,2,3 but this shampoo make my (fine wavy hair) so dirty.. I use a pea size quantity and the day after I need to wash them again. And my hair is super dry, not oily at all. Ps. Can you recommend me a good shampoo and mask? Fine, dry, dyed, wavy hair

m. m.: Finally! I thought I was the only person who wasn’t impressed with Kevin Murphy Shampoo/conditioners. I find their styling products great…but have yet to use a shampoo or conditioner I’ve loved.

Tracy: I agree with you except I do love MoroccanOil mask in the blue tub brown rim. The shampoo and conditioners are yuk. Drug store is better. Dry shampoo my scalp hates it all. I also don’t understand people not washing their hair for as long as possible. It’s like a badge of honor on social media. I understand we used to wash our hair too much. Everyone is different but dang. Olaplex shampoo and conditioner. I’ll never buy it again. Some people said you see results long term with that. Idk.

Beata Kumorowska: I love batiste. Smells amazing and works for me and my hair.

Persephonne Vanity: Love these reviews! Please do more plus hair styling tools

Rachel Smithkey: That's so funny. My boyfriend's sister owns a salon in the USA and she has Kevin Murphy in her salon. She stopped selling Kevin Murphy cuz she said she was never crazy about their shampoos and conditioners, only the styling products she really liked. I love the scents and how cute their packaging is but I mean, the shampoo/conditioners were never truly AMAZING. They were just...good.

Ma B: Baptiste is the only dry shampoo that works for me. Sometimes I need dry shampoo to look presentable but yeah sure it is better not to use dry shampoos, but you know if I don't want to look like trash, Baptiste is the way to go for me

GigiCat: Thanks to you I made the change from Moroccanoil Hydrate to a Kerastase Nutritive and am loving the improvement!!

Miss Cellaneous: Agee with olaplex shampoo and conditioner, I use it along with no.3 treatment to fix my fried hair but they don't help with smoothness. Not sure if you've reviewed Paul Mitchell Awapuhi, what's your thought on it? Thank you.

Réka: Since I watch your videos dry shampoos are no-gos for me. But the last time I went to shopping I saw Batisle and I almost got to think that I should try that one. Well, glad I didn’t buy it now I also eyed at Kevin Murphy’s Young Again Oil but I don’t know how I feel about it yet or if it’s worth the price. Anyway, keep up the good work! Thank you for making videos about professional hair care. You helped me a lot on the journey with my hair and its condition is getting better and better!

Shelby: I got the repair Moroccanoil shampoo and conditioner and I used it last night and I’m not impressed at all…. Left such a thick film over my hair and the shampoo tangled my hair so bad and the conditioner was nice but after I rinsed it my hair just felt like waxy and now that my hairs mostly dry it just feels so unmanageable and filmy:/ I do love the oil tho

gowon: Hi Mike! This is be off-topic, but can I ask if the kerastase thermiques are used as leave-in conditioners? I would like to buy one to protect my hair from heat, but I’ve heard that it is also used as a leave in conditioner. I love my current conditioner and don’t really want to switch - is it possible to use both a conditioner and the thermique?

Violet U R Violet: Hi Mike U look Great , i just purchased the Olaplex 3,4,5&7 kit... I have very Fine hair and my scalp tends to get oily, after doing my research i found many customers complained about No.4 shampoo so i decided to skip it all together and just used my regular Joico shampoo and my results are Beautiful i have brand new hair...but i think the shampoo's PH is NOT for Me ...but I love Everything else...Great Vid

esha kapila: Hi Mike thanks for this video. I have been using olaplex no. 3 for my bleached hair and depending on my hair need I use kerastase resistance extentioniste or nutritative. Can you suggest if kerastase resistance therapiste range would be a better option over olaplex no. 3 for my bleached hair.

Anj Dhir: Omg I thought I was the only one who thought Batiste makes the worse dry shampoo I would rather use baby power if I had to but never will Batiste!!

Gary Zimmerman: Great review. I couldn’t agree with you more. I’ll even add a 6th one and that’s Aveda. Take care

Ma B: Olaplex shampoo makes my hair greasy, but #3 does wonder for my hair!

Maxine 1970: Totally agree about Olaplex products. It does no more than a good conditioner. If your hair is damaged then cutting it off is the only remedy. Olaplex kids you up that you've fixed it but it doesn't. I know I've tried every product.

Floofy Cat: Love that you called the water in Ireland septic Haven’t heard that in years!

Jasmina Rad: I was about to buy Kevin Murphy angel wash… maybe I should stick to Kerastase

Reneé: Can you please make an opinion video on the Brazilian Blowout? I recently got talked into getting this service done & regret it because I read online that it’s (possibly) dangerous. The hairstylist also told me that it’s “way superior than Olaplex for hair damage.” Now I read that they’re entirely different services altogether…I’m so confused.

Melinda Soltan: Hi, can you please do a review on the virtue hair products, would love to hear your thoughts

fran 2: Hi Mike, what about Olaplex 3? And can you review Philip Kingsley treatment?

Reneé: What is your opinion of the Olaplex #3 at home treatment?

Helena Lovelock: What’s the best Kerastase Shampoo and conditioner range for Bleached Damaged hair (high density/lots of hair).

Aoife G: Literally 3 of those I use and love

Jean Charles Pajuelo: What about the shampoo volume one ?

Bellaboo: Olaplex works for my dry hair batiste builds up and irritates my scalp

Nina: For who will Morrocanoil actually work?

Erakam Devendra: Which best shampoo for thin hair and safe product brand can you suggest me sir please under 2000rs

C Foster: I prefer K18 over Olaplex.

Christine Conn: Please do a video of your thoughts on Michael van Clarke please

Heidi Scott: I am living for your neck chain

grazyna szerszen: So lovely new product

YM C: plz make a underated product video!
