Hi everybody, its Daphne and you're, very welcome back to spend some times me today, and I thought that today I would talk about my own hair care and what I do to look at my hair and what I use for styling and all of that kind of Thing and I used to be delusional and natural and brown haired enough is called a brunette. I know but brown hair anyway and and yeah what happened when I was, in my I'd, say, mid twenties and I suddenly got a streak of discolor in the front of my hair. I'D say about that much in among the rest of my brown hair and one of my sister said to me at the time: that's very aging: you should color it. So I did I used to put and all over excuse me itchy nose. I used to put an all-over color on a my hair was quite short at the time and and I used to color it it's sort of a brownish or Bernie color, and it gave us great. You know condition and shine, and it looks it looks really well and but I couldn't obviously continue to color it back that color because, as you're getting older, your hair tone changes and your skin tone changes, and so I started getting. I did that a good few years and then I started getting and I think, a different shade of all-over color more you know, sort of instead of being an Auburn, I put maybe more gold golden tones into then. I eventually started to get and highlight I think for me. It was a case of I became very conscious of the fact that a hair color sits on your scalp and it's kind of sits there for maybe 20 25 minutes. And it's to me, you felt like it was soaking into my scalp. It became a little bit of an obsession with me. I didn't want to do that anymore, so decided that I would go for highlights because it's literally aunt it painted onto your hair and I used to go for blonde highlights and because my hair was mainly mainly brand. But it was getting this of this color and it I my nose as a light shining on me, I'm sitting by an attic I'm sitting by a window and it's very murky. Oh today, we've had the most beautiful weather all week and today it's just been raining torrential holiday for the livestock roads. I had to come in actually to one of my son's bedrooms, take things over the wall and everything to to film. But anyway, and I have a light in front as well, but where was I yes? Yes, I started getting blonde highlights into my brand, mainly Brian hair, and I did that for many years as well and it came expensive. You know you have to keep going back, because my most of my hair was dark. I was getting darker roots come in, but I know just as we were doing it almost. My stylist was doing it for me that I was getting more of this shade in my hair so and then I started with just the stage for the highlights just weren't working, so I was going to have to do them too often, so my stylist said to Me do you if you wanted to first I'd Astra, could could I color it myself in between getting the highlights done? That'S what I used to do and she said you could yeah and she said if you want to do that, go for the lightest and blonde that you can find so they were usually like in a nice blonde or lightest blonde, or something like that and the Color are the products that I used to use was, I think it was Clairol and it was called perfect ten and the reason I liked that in particular the color worked for me, but I also liked the fact that it only was on your hair. For ten minutes, so I would time it exactly and then rinse it out. I didn't want it on there for ending hunger and but they stopped making it and most of the other colors you have to leave on for at least 20 minutes. So that was one of the reasons that I stopped doing it and two years ago I thought I decided I'm going to see what will happen if I just stop coloring my hair and see what happens because the front was those color and the back of it. Isn'T quite a start use as light, you can see that there's still darkness in the back. So I stuffed two years ago and I haven't my Harrison and sometimes I look in the mirror and I think what am i doing. I should put more blonde into because it's quite it's not showing up. Maybe if I do that you'll see you'll see it a little bit better and maybe if I pull that blinds down, you might know, that's changing yeah, that's probably showing more of what my color is actually really like. So it's quite white and silvery white and I like to call a platinum but that's difficult, but I do have darkness through the back as well, which is more kind of grayish and but I'm hoping eventually that it'll all be this shade and - and to be honest, I don't have to look at the back of us, but that might sound silly, but I have pictures on Pinterest of different hairstyles and and one of them they're, usually Bob's or whatever, and one of them was of a lady with hair color very similar to mine. With the gray going through it and the white and she had a cousin and lovely Bob, and you can see her face, you could see it was just taken from the back and I showed it to my stylist. The last time I had my hair cut and she said, but that looks just like your hair. So if that's what my hair looks like from the back, then I'm really happy with that and I'll see if I can find it on pin time. I know I'm going to pause and I'm going to go and get my phone, because I should be able to find it on Pinterest and I can show you so one sec and back. I managed to find us on my phone, and that is there to find. Where the lights were going to shine on it, too much makes it look completely white and you see that's probably the best mmm. I don't know how to get this to pick up on camera. It'S not picking up very well there, it's the better and yeah. So you can see it's kind of white and gray oops done, and but that was basically the kind of style I was looking for and the kind of effect of the color and she said well, that's very similar to what your own hair is at the. So I thought made me very happy because I really like that that hairstyle I didn't go quite as short as I suppose, and anyway, that's more or less the corner story as I stopped coloring it. The more the less since I started, covering more of this color has come through, and that is my own natural color. That is my own natural color, and you can see it's darker at the back very light at the front and my mother had beautiful white hair in her later years. She had black hair when she was very young and dyed it. For many years and my sister, you know encouraged her as she became more mature to lighten her coloring, her hair coloring, as she got a little bit older, which she did and eventually she stopped coloring it and she had the most beautiful hair. So mine is a different shade. Her hers was more of a Oh silver. Hers was a beautiful silver for is, mine is more kind of voice, and I am I'm actually very happy with the color that it is, and I just wish that there was more others in the back. But I'm presuming that that will happen. I'M just going to move in the seat and so there's a lot less maintenance. In terms of I'm not going to get my roots done. You know I don't have to get a full head of highlights or an all-over colors and just do anything like that. But what it does mean is that, because there's no color in it, it's more inclined to get dry and I do have. I have very fine hair. I would picked up today just for something different. I very fine hair. It'S very quite straight, although I get what I call a cowlick here, I have to usually use my flat iron to straighten marriage and both my stylist did say to me: you need to use a good moisturizing shampoo and I had kind of stucked conditioning every time. I washed my hair and I was saying that to her. I would do it maybe every second time and she said: hmm, you do need because there's no color in your hair, you do need to keep it well conditioned and well moisturized. So I've always been on the lookout for a good, moisturizing, shampoo and also one that doesn't just we know, make a flattened weight down something that gives it a bit of volume because with the thinker's I'm above any of you who have a bubble, hello, you needed It hi spurt ikkyu larly here you know if it just sits and is like as if it's smushed onto your head. It just does nothing for you so and I have been trying lots of different shampoos, the one I've really loved at the mom. Just I don't actually have it with, I don't have it. I'M finished it at the moment and it's the OGX biotin and collagen. I did mention it in one of my most been in. My no haven't had inclusion, my empties yet, but I have mentioned my favourites. I think for things I've been enjoying it's a lovely shampoo and it's in you know the OGX bottles, there's kind of you know and oval shaped bottles almost or semi. It'S not quite it not quite a circular, but a fast sort of shape, and this particular one is no. The lightest changing all the time I apologize and this one is in a purple bottle. Image has gold writing hours and there's a conditioner to go with it and I didn't use the conditioner, but I did use the shampoo finish, the bottle and loved us and it's very moisturizing. It does give body. So I just derive different things. You know until I finally find the shampoo that I think is the one I'm always going to use, although I do think my hair gets used to something and it's good for me to change it up a little bit, and I cannot understand why one minute my Face looks kind of orange and necklace looks a normal color, so I'm going to try a lifting red line to this matters to matter too much that might be better color wise. Every time I put something of change the color, but at the moment I am using and the Tresemme specialist olio radiance, illuminates lightweight healthy, look, shampoo with Argan and almond oils. That'S the shampoo again. That light is probably putting a shine on us. That'S the shampoo and that's the matching conditioner and I've been using these for not quite two weeks. I say the jury is out on them, but they're, okay, so you know I'm liking them, but I'm Egeria is out really as to what I think about them. I said I loved the OGX biotin collagen, so it's going to be the take a while to find something that is as good as that, but at the moment the reason I went for this is that is first of all, it is illuminating and, second of all, If you lightweight, because I don't want something - that's going to weigh down my hair - it's very easy for me to do that with products. So that's a good moisturizing shampoo, but because my hair is so white it can actually become brassy looking. So I need a purple shampoo to tone. Take that tone out of it and the one I've been using at the moment is the bleach, london, silver, shampoo and - and i did talk about this in a previous video - if i can show you, but i think most of them are like this. That'S the color of the shampoo and when I use it the first time I was really scared because I turned to have dry hands it settled into. I could see after I finished in the shower, could see kind of residual blue on my hands and a couple of you had said to be careful with those jumprings because they can actually stay in your hair. So I spoke to my stylist about hers and she said yeah that kind of happened, but you'd want to leave it on, for you know quite a length of time, so I use this, maybe once every 10 days or so or once every two weeks. No more than that, and it just takes down the brassiness now what I find with these color towing shampoos, because I've used other ones as well, they can be drying on your hair. They can't be drawing on your hair because they're stripping out so the brassiness. So I wouldn't do this too often this one was about. It was at least ten euro anyway, I bought it in Boots. I can't remember, was it on special? I mean any of these no boots. No, the boots always have regular offers on shampoo is either three for two or, if it's like with OGX, they might because they're nearly ten year or bottle, and they might do two two bottles, you know be a shampoo and conditioner for 12 year. I think that's at the moment there's one I've been looking for and I could see using it. I can't remember one other YouTube. It'Ll come back to me using it and what that's going to annoy me anyway. It was an OG and it's got a funny name. It'S like spooky 30s, you be ki, Cebu ki, something like that and it's in a pale turquoise, I think bottle or is it purple anyway? It hasn't come in yet and I'm dying to try that's supposed to be like perfume for your hair. I cannot remember mentioned us if I think I'll link up, you know no well, maybe I'll put it below, because I can't link yet, but that's what I use for myself, my silver shampoo at the moment and now so when I've washed my hair. If I feel that I'm really in need of something extra, I might do the mask and I have the L'Oreal L Z's extraordinary oil. It'S fine, you know it's a mask. I haven't used too much as you can see, and I wouldn't, if have my smoke smell, it's quite a thick mask in really doesn't look like there's much used. It is then quite thick. You don't need very much and the other one that I've used and I've shared this with my daughter. So I think she has finished it for me yeah and it's the laureate very laureate. They'Re all L'Oreal hair masks. It'S the LV full restore a seeker, mask it's repairing mouth, so I don't really need that one's empty and that one I don't really need a repairing mask. My hair isn't damaged socially, but it's you know it could do. Is it and moisturizing mask every once in a while and then the other ones I do like, because I do like this range and it's a kind of glory olz, but it's the fiber ology and it does I, for I find any any of those to improve. That'S look, it's a well used and I'm not mad about the percent, but it can help to thicken your hair by. I think it just sort of plumps s that the strands, whereas I think, with the OGX, the biotin and collagen it was kind of. I don't know it seemed to do more. I just really liked that one, and so that's if I sell those are the masks I would use. If I really felt I needed something extra and when it comes to drying and styling my hair. What I generally do is, I will brush it out when it's wet. I have a Turbie twist, so you usually have to because for a little while and I brush it out when it's wet - and I know some of you say - should brush your hair eyes. But my hair is quite fine. I have a wide tooth comb, so it's not a brush a wide tooth combs. I would use, and - and I put in something to give it some volume - and I think what I've been using at the moment - is the Schwarzkopf Gus. The volume maniac modifying mousse and I'm actually really enjoying this one, and I had other ones that I've used before a coco local. It was a lovely kind of coconut scent. I'Ve used the vo5 doesn't really do very much. For me, it was too vo fives that I didn't really like so far. This is a relatively new one and I will be talking about probably and my favorites, but and because Dominic Saxa he would spoke and does continue to speak about. If the Schwartz have got to be fantastic mousse. I think it's collagen or something in it, and it's in this shade of a yellow tin. I haven't been able to get us here and it's a super drug or booth or any other chemist. I haven't seem to be able to get my hands on us at all and if you look it up on Amazon, it's quite expensive. So I'm wondering is this the European version of it? It could be not sure because so far I'm liking, that one and but I do change my styling products around quite a bit and some of the things I have spoken about before I so apologies a little repeating myself. This one is well used and it's the living proof style extender. I don't use it all the time and I went through a phase of using it all the time when my hair was longer it. My hair used to be tend to kind of bed here up to about yeah about a year ago. I got a course, and that worked perfectly when my hair was long, and I could use it after each wash when my hair was caught short. It didn't seem to work for me anymore, so I gave it a break - and I remember talking about that in in a previous video, but it is good it can it sort of helps to repel the oil and dirty and get longer as freestyle. It doesn't actually hold the style. I don't think it just keeps your hair in a more freshly washed state and it locks just sat in for longer waitress, perfecting weather proofing time savings of Zuma. I don't suffer from frizziness, so you think I did because every time I do a video I can see these are 20 sprigs up there, and so you can use this alone or under under other stylers and if the hair primer. So you have to be careful if you're going to use this use that, for it so put this one on first and then this, if you use it as it goes on first and the other living proof, products that I have been enjoying is the living proof. Perfect hair day five and one starting treatment and that's it there and if I can read it, I don't have my glasses with me and for smoothest volume, conditioning strength and polish through the fun conditions. Yet so much fighting and it's pretty nice, it's just a little. It'S just a cream and some have any particular scent, but I do like if my daughter brought it to me from the states because to buy these in Ireland you can buy them Marks and Spencers stock them, but they're expensive. I don't think they're as expensive on a par. I don't think there is expensive in the States but they're quite expensive here, so I think that living proof style extender is about thirty year to buy it here and now I did buy it here for a while ago to Google and ago. I must have this year and a half it wasn't third year, then so, and I just feel a bathroom. I don't know about spending that much money on particular favourite products unless it's going to completely change my hair game and I don't justify anything else than maybe, and so that's for when my hair is wet started. You know styling when it's wet. Now, if I was when I finished drying my hair, if my hair was a bit, you know wispy, I would use the John Frieda Frizz Ease some secret agent and touch-up cream and it is a cream. You use a tiny little bit. I mean even that it's a bit of a dried out on this tube and in fact that would probably be enough for me, because I don't want to weigh my hair down. So you rub it into your hands and it can smooth down the top where it's. It'S sticky up and you can put it into the ends of your hair as well. If you want to kind of texture, it works in that sense too. So and yeah I like that product. I wouldn't either too often, because I do feel it gives a little bit of a buildup of residue. If I want some volume, don't play a large volume at nice, certain ages and my hair, because I don't want any volume and I would use the ghost Schwarz coke Schwarzkopf - try to say that word got to be powder, full volumizing, styling product and actually this was Recommended by my stylist it's a powder and you put a little into your hands and we're going to be able to show you use it a little bit. You just kind of work it into your hands like that, and you use your hair. It does work. It does it's not going to work now, because my hair is turned up and I'm going to make a mattress, but what I might do is, I might do hair starting video if any of you are interested in, but that is a good product. The only thing I find with us is that if you use too much, if you put it on your fingers, you can do it like this as well. If you put on your fingers and you work it into scalp, it can make the hair kind of sticky in your scalp feel a bit sticky, so I wouldn't yeah. I wouldn't use this one, it's just freshly washed. I would. I would keep that for an occasion or if I'm one second or maybe Thursday, hair. I would use that and you come back I what I normally do. Is I don't back home because a mask or tease I'm not go to doing this, and but my daughter says to me you're supposed to tease your hair and put it in, but this is supposed to be back on a bottle. So I don't know, but she does and she can. She works the the Rufus and it's just on the bottom. It says an instant value root boost texture and hold so it does do those things. It actually does what it says on the tin. Then, if I want a hairspray, I don't use the hairspray very often, but if I do need your hairspray Loreal Elnett would be my go-to, and this one is the extra strength and it's the cares and nourishes. It'S got precious oil in it and if I only ever really buy this world because if I was using it for an occasion, I want to be able to take it with me and I don't use enough hairspray to have the big ones so yeah. It'S got extra carrying argan oil in it and you know LMS those and those hair sprays are really nice because they do kind of just brush out and yeah. So I loved an oval net and that's more or less it. For my styling products yeah, I was going to show you my eye tool. The tools that I used to to start my hair dryer is a Philips and it's don't think it's an ayah. Ions doesn't have a particular name: artistic Philips, hairdryer. I don't know what that, for at least I think it's actually from being shoved in and out of the drawer, so be a little bit of paint. This is salon, dry, controlled and doesn't say what no there's ions almost there. It'S got two speeds. It doesn't say what strength it is so go to CEO. Does I beg your pardon Institute to to 2200 2200 what you will be able to see because it's well worn off and it has a cooling button which is there and you have to keep your finger on it has and want to see. I want to say it gives more speed if you do your strength, if you do that, there's another button spare, I don't know what those words are called and rusty on off. So that's the fastest page, that's the slowest speed and then for 2/3 temperature. So that's the hottest I I generally would start start off. I rough dry, my hair before I start to started, and then I put it to the the next temperature down and that's cool. So if you hear shouting, I'm sure you can. The FA Cup final is on. I think arson alerting my voice, our arsenal so they're watching that downstairs and the sound of carry milk. So apologies and there's a couple of extras down there. Yeah children who've come over at work. She wanted come over to watch and so that's my an herit hairdryer whoops. Now every was hurting my hair. My hair doesn't really take across. Unfortunately, it falls out very, very, very quickly, but I do have and the fabulous and it's a hutch famous, actually important office and writing on. I think it's an inch and a half, I'm not sure, and we be able to even see there. You can see, it's got to be a be left, but there you go. It goes up to 210 degrees Celsius, so that would be four twenty five night and it, and at the lowest, is 165 degrees Celsius, which would be 172 two three four C spectrum from forty is the lowest, so you just uh get in it turns on, and You can control the heat settings and it's got this this so and yeah. I do like that when I'm using a curl out I'm using a curl when I'm using a curling iron, that's the one I do like and it's kind of it's Malstrom. They call it's not ceramic and it's not ceramic busts, it's kind of if the hair has my slip on its going through, and then this is my favorite. This is my curling iron. No, it's not! No! It'S not my curling iron, it's my straightener and and it's the GHD and you can see it's. I have a long time. It'S well used and the same thing underneath us hair styling, something very starting our in with ceramic technology. So it's just got the ceramic plate and it's only got one heat setting and I absolutely love this. I have been using this since it's not this particular one I've had. I think this is my third one and but I would imagine, do you think 14 years? Yes, 14 years, so this is my desert island too, because even if I could let my hair dry, naturally it would be messy. Let'S face it, it would be messy, but this takes just it's a game for me: it's a game. Changer, it smooths everything. It shakes everything I can put current waves and curls and with them with this, they don't necessarily stay too long. Plus I can get away of interest. That'S if I wind it up like that and put it in my drawer and in terms of brushes. I generally like these are all covered in hair and where you sorry these and I'm going to try because my hair, just I - should have cleaned them before I came on things. There is a what's the name of them. It'S just ionic ceramic. There is a metal with the metal brushes as opposed to this. Is it a wooden brush and I have all different sizes, because when my hair was longer, I used to, you know, use different sizes to get different and types of curl at the moment. This is the one that I'm really enjoying apologies it's since 78, and if I'm wanting you know, if I have a used to meet, you know for the bigger one. It'S the 80, when my hair was long raised to use that as well, because was quite, it was very good, forgetting you know, just a bend into the hair and giving it volume doesn't work too well at the moment of my hair because to live a short, But that one does I have a couple of even thinner ones in the but they're the ones that I use. I know there are some people would say you shouldn't use those metal ones that they break your hair. I have to say I haven't unless what I'm seeing up here is broken here. I haven't really noticed broken hair, that's my wooden one! I don't even know what brand it is, but I find that very hard to use. I don't know if it's a handle or it just doesn't grip the hair the same way. I don't know if it when I go to sell and they use those metal brushes so anyway, and if I really wanted a lot of lift in the rush at the top on the crown, I would use my and velcro rollers, so I would dry it and With a brush put this in and usually pin it with a clip and leave it in for a little while - and it was that's nice fullness on top. So if I was going for going out for an evening, I would do something like that and I think that is basically is yeah. But if you want me to do a hair style, hair, styling video, I suppose a concept you can bear see me with wet hair, because it's not a pretty sight and first, and so I hope you enjoyed that. I hope the lighting wasn't too annoying. I really apologize, I don't have you know, Bach flies or anything yet and what I'm thinking about investing in something like that, and so I hope you enjoyed this and if you have any questions or comments, please put them in below and I'll get. I will get back to you. I haven't replied to all of the comments on my previous video and in fact somebody left a comment. I think your name is foundation fairy and I couldn't find it in my list of comments under the video and in Google+. It wasn't coming up, so if I don't get back to you, I'm really sorry, it's not that I'm not getting budgets as I can't and sometimes YouTube and Google do that kind of thing. For some reason I don't know why, and it just happens. It'S a glacier and a gremlin and this system, but I will be replying to to everybody, and so I hope you have a lovely evening and does wherever you are. Maybe the sun is shining is not shining here, but we're very hopeful it'll be back tomorrow. So I will see you very soon and thanks for coming to spend some time with me and I'll talk to you guys soon. Bye,

cwm53: Hi Dapne: I must try the ogx shampoo and conditioner. My hair is also fine so I am always looking for good volumizing products.
