Hey guys! This vlog is all about my visit at the New York DevaChan hair salon in Broome St (Soho) , to get my natural curly hair styled! I share with you guys my experience at the Deva Curl Salon that took me from dry hair to such defined and frizz-free curls. These products are also paraben-free, silicone-free, and sulfate-free, for those curly girls who LOVE to follow the Curly Girl Method! I also share my sister’s new dry curly DevaCut, and her before and afters, as well.

Hey guys so i'm here at david, my what i'm getting hair is just styling um, i'm not getting the cut or color or anything like that. Just my hairstyle, i'm not exactly sure. What'S going on with my hair, it's been in the book for like two or three days. This is what i'm started so sammy you're, getting your hair cut, yep i'm getting my first diva cut and i'm so excited because, as you can see, my hair is so flat. It has no shade. This is how it looks right now: uh since 2009, okay, nice, so we're gon na go and we're gon na do the mountains of moisture on you, okay, but before that i do want to try out. I want you to see the wash day wonder as well. Okay, so the washi wonder treatment is for detangling. You can use that. Okay, i love the water. Oh that's my favorite, that's my favorite! So we're gon na go in with that and then so. I'M gon na start you off with my apprentice. He'S gon na do wash day. Okay, he's gon na come over, take over and we're to do the melt, and i want to put you on the heat with the melting some moisture. Okay, so it can really get an infantry okay, okay, awesome! So how the washi wonder works? Is you go in with that? First container with that and then right onto you know rinse that out right? On top of that we go in with the decadent smoke hello. Is it okay? Oh, so now we are cleansing. So i don't usually do tangle first before i cleanse. I don't think i've ever done that before so that was a lot different, so yeah, usually we um with the washington wonderly defender first and then go all of our products. You know sulfate-free american free and silicone free yeah. So is it going to be a detangle the second time? Actually it says, oh really. For the most part, it feels so good. I'M gon na put my camera down. If i can enjoy halfway through her haircut. I'M super excited i'm liking. What i'm seeing is the melting to moisture. I like that deep lift too. Thank you. So now look who's right across from me. I have a lot of hair. Yes, yes, yes, so the deep conditioner is still in my hair. Now we're going to heat it up, so this is post deep, conditioner how's it feeling. So my hair feels really really soft extremely soft. I'M excited to see the finish as well. What we're using for the leave-ins we're leaving with the curlflow the leave-in curl pumper? Oh gosh, you guys already know i have a lot of volume and then what is next after the b leader and the archangel jail, so there's no cream. No, he didn't want to put anything oh wow, so i'm interested in seeing how this is going to turn out. You guys saw my video, where i switched hair routines with a set, and i used the be leaving, especially since you guys know that i like to use really really thick heavy creams and then a gel on top, so to use two naan creams. I'M interested to see how it's gon na turn out, so do you think it's best to apply it on dripping wet hair? Yes! Well, if you use it on the product, especially it has to be it's worth better with purple, but you like to wet the sections before you put it in. So how do you know when you put enough products in my hair, see how you see the frizziness there? So i will make sure i don't work the product, and so i don't see that breath anymore. So, with this hairy pain, i say a difference is mine. In mine is that i usually um i, like my hair, wet but wetting it all throughout the process like re-wetting it. I noticed that uh, i watched a diva curl video uh, someone getting their hair shot and they wet it. What exactly does that? Do it keeps them it helps with um definition? Okay, that's definitely because, as it dries out, that's when the pearls slippery yeah and you get a lot of fruits, so it helps with the definition. That'S why we usually you know i need to have my clients to do their hair right in the shower yeah and also definitely like the leave-in and stylish yeah. So everything was applied on my hair dripping wet and re-wet. So i don't know we saw it that way. So i'm excited all the products are in. My hair is looking really defined and really juicy yes, so the um, i believe, and that's what it does now we're just doing the parts and then you guys will see the dry results and, oh for me, so i think that this was a success. Would you say it's a 100 success? Oh it's definitely obsessed and i'm so happy with the way that my hair turned out and danny's hair turned out since we're both a little bit nervous. Also I kept looking at the white guy's hands while he did your hair. Just so gentle. He took such care with your hair and the results were amazing.

HOWEVER, the only people that I’VE seen have good results and who love their products are people who have looser curls than mine (I have a mix of all type 4 curls with a bit of 3c on top). I’m just worried they’re gonna set me up because they seem not to work too often on kinkier textures.

They just let them experiment on them and then they're disappointed in the results because they didn't ask what was happening durring the process. Both of you guys came out great!..Personally love the Deva line but found you definitely shouldn't fully wet your hair after the products are in and walk around while it's air drying. I find the Devacurl products to be a bit drying to my hair especially without any creme the way your hair was done. What was your impression AFTER you slept on your hair a couple off days?
