Hair | Under Hair Care - Products For Protective Styles

All righty, so we're just gon na get right into it, because my hair is filthy. I'Ve had these braids in for about two weeks and it is time to wash our hair. So, let's get to it. So I'm just gon na start off by partying my hair into kind of two sections it'll end up being three later, but I'm gon na focus on the front first and then hang up the back to get it out of the way. Okay. So here's what I'm just gon na stop and explain myself. So I thought this whole water in the needle bottle thing was gon na work and it did for the application for getting my hair wet. But I didn't think about how I was going to rinse my hair out. I didn't get that far, so I was doing this to not have to get in the shower, but all in all, if you're gon na end up doing this yourself, you're either gon na have to get in the shower or do what I did and get most Of your floor wet, if you have a friend to help you with this, that would be really great. They can just pour the water down your head as if you were in a salon, and you can lay back so then the entire length of your braids doesn't get wet. But if you're, just by yourself, you might have to do what I did and make a mess just a little bit about this brand Guerlain hair and their products under hair care. This is the first line of haircare products formulated for natural and relaxed hair under hair extensions. These products were formulated for you to nourish your hair, underneath your protective style, whether it be braids like I have on myself or weave any sort of extensions, any anything like that wigs. This is what these products were formulated for. Okay, so here I'm going in with the cleanse shampoo, I really really really like this stuff. It smells kind of mentally kind of medicine. It has shea butter, so it's very moisturizing as well as cleansing. They have tea tree and neem oil in it, and it definitely leaves your scalp feeling very clean, very tingly if you use peppermint oil or like tea tree oil, and if you use products that have those ingredients in it, then you know that tingly feeling that I'm Talking about, if you like the tingly feeling you will like this, but it does leave your hair feeling, not your hair, your scalp feeling very, very good, very refreshed, very clean. You can definitely feel the difference with this. Also with me washing my hair right now. As you can see, I'm pretty rough with it, because I have a lot of product build-up because I have already redone these braids twice, so they kind of have double the amount of product in them, so I'm kind of rough with it. I guess then I would be if these were freshly done, braids, I'm also kind of like not really caring. At this point I just want to wash my hair and I also will probably end up redoing some of these braids within the rest of the week. So my main concern is just getting my hair clean. If you do have, you know freshly done braids and you would not like them to look too natural so fast. You can actually refer to my friend allama days, video on how she cleans her braids, because she uses a cotton pad to go in between in the scalp. So that will you know not roughing up your braids so much if you are still in that stage with your braids now, I'm going in with the nourishing leaving conditioner, and I like that. This brand has formulated a leave-in conditioner to put underneath these protective styles, because if we were to use kind of our just regular leave-in conditioners, it would get pretty gunky pretty quickly. So, as you can see, this leave-in really just sinks into the scalp it absorbs well. It doesn't leave any residue, it smells amazing if you like the smell baby powder or like baby products. This is exactly what this smells like. I don't know why. I personally love it. It sinks right into the scalp. It'S like. I said these applicators make it very easy to put these products onto your scalp directly, where they need to go, and I just really like that they have a leaving conditioner for protective styles. So, lastly, I'm going in with refresh which is a biotin infused, hydrating milk. This is an aloe vera based product, so I think it pretty much smells like aloe and basically this is a daily sort of moisturization thing that they have it's a clear product, so it doesn't leave any white cast it mixes well with the leave-in. It doesn't have a strong scent to it, and so they recommend you use this daily to fortify your hair hydrate, your hair, it's biotin infused. So if you know about biotin, which, if your natural, you probably do, if you know about biotin, it's a great vitamin that helps promote hair growth, so they say to put this on your hair and to massage into your scalp for a couple minutes massaging your scalp Proves to show you know it helps to get the hair follicles going and growing, so yeah definitely we'll be using this product more. As I keep my hairstyle in and going forward as I do more protective styles, I will definitely be using this refreshed product to keep my hair moisturized on the daily. So now that I'm basically all done washing my hair, I'm going to wrap up the ends of my braids in a towel, and I pretty much keep them wrapped up on the wall. If I'm not going anywhere for the rest of the day. But for an hour or two or basically until all of the water is absorbed into the towel, if you don't do this you're pretty much gon na be walking around dripping onto your floor and also what I'm gon na do is lay this scarf onto my hair. Pretty much lay my hair down, I'm just gon na tie it up. So then my frizzies cannot do the most and I'm just gon na lay my hair down and once it gets a little dry. I will then go ahead and place my products as far as gel and edge control and I'll put my scarf back on so then it will lay down really really well with the products. So eventually I needed to go out and get something to eat. So I did have to put my gel my edge control in my hair and put my scarf back on for it to lay down correctly and, as you can see, it's laying down pretty flat. It they're not perfect, but, as you can see my hair well, you can't really see that my hair is clean, but I'm telling you that it's clean, if you would have seen what it looked like before it was really bad. That is pretty much it. I look kind of cute and my hair. My scalp in particular, feels amazing this scent that I purchased retails for about 48 dollars.
