Hello guys welcome back to my channel. We are going to be reviewing the pattern, Beauty, hair products from Tracee Ellis Ross and she is so freaking cool. So I was so honored and surprised when I got this package in the mail because I first of all had no idea. They knew my address, but I'll have they found that out and I wasn't expecting it so I was super excited and when I saw that she launched it, I definitely wanted to give it a try and now I get to so. I'M super excited about that. When I got this in the mail, I did show you guys it over on my Instagram story. The dam started pouring in on a few for review and I thought that was such a cool idea. So I'm going to be doing that today I got the like. A major kit, so it has the shampoo - I don't know, I'm just gon na, say shampoo conditioner and be leaving in. I don't know if I'm points at right stuff, but it's all in here. They have a spray bottle. A little clamp e clamp a bag with her picture on it, you have a hobo oil serum as well as the brush that I will be using in this video as well, oh and the towel that I will be using in this video as well. I'M gon na be able to review everything for you guys in this video, so yeah. I wanted to do this intro for you guys. I am going to be washing my hair later on today and then I would be trying the products I'm planning to do a wash and go because there isn't like a curling cream per se. So for like a twist out or braid out and stuff like that. So the only product that they have for styling is the leave in conditioner. So I'm going to be using this for that and I'm gon na do a wash and go, and I'm gon na do the wash and go a bit different than how I normally do. My wash because I'm normally just kind of worked the product, but I made a vow to myself that I was gon na try to do my hair a little bit better, like pay more attention to and not say that it was bad before I don't know. If you guys know this, but I really care it's like the last thing. Like all my makeup to look cute, my outfits look cute and their hair is way down. The list like I don't really fuss too much about it, but I want to start putting a little bit more effort in so I'm going to be doing my washing go where I section small pieces, I'm also going to be pairing. This Lee conditioner with the jojoba oil serum, so I hope this intro wasn't too long for you guys keep on watching to see how I, like all the products and yeah I'm excited. So this is my second time shampooing and it's a lot more secure than the first time. So when I rinsed it out the first time they actually it felt soft. But it was a little bit squeaky clean and I don't like that personally for it to be super squeaky clean. I do like, though, that it suds really well, but I think it took a lot for me to get to this point like I kept having to add more more shampoo in order for it to get it bugs like this. Even on the second time I don't know, if that's the same thing with you guys, but every time I do my second shampoo, it's a lot more severe than my first time shampooing. So I'm gon na risk this out and I will let you guys, you know if my hair is a lot more drier this second time. Okay, so now I'm about to apply the conditioner and the way the directions say on the back is to apply to wet hair from roots, to ends and section with the hair clip. So I've already done that, and so a section is back very messily. And now I'm going to apply the condition, our one thing when I rinsed out the shampoo the second time it definitely was a lot of dryer. So I definitely feel like. I need this conditioner now, not that I wouldn't apply conditioner, but I definitely need it. So I'm applying it back here first and then I'm a sectioning, it even smaller and try out this a shower brush. I think that's what is called so I'm starting from the ends and I'm going to the roots to evenly apply the conditioner. I can't feel that this brush is really getting out the tangles and it's not pulling at my hair either. So this is the thing, but I feel like this will take me a long time to get through all my hair and seaweed knowing these individual sections. But it's what the directions say. I don't know if I would do this every time as far as this male of the shampoo and conditioner, both of them smell, like eucalyptus, Spa style to them, it's not a strong scent. So I'm going to repeat this all over my head is probably gon na. Take me a long time and then I will come back to show you guys what I'm looking like before Herman sit down. So I finished applying the conditioner to my hair, brushing it through with the shower comb. I'M hoping I'm saying the name of it correctly and my hair is super. Like frizzy, I was saying not defined in the front, but a lot of places like down here in the back. It'S pretty curly and I don't know how my hair looks like this. I have not gotten the haircut ever, but it actually looks like it has a shape. That'S very strange. The conditioner is a very thick consistency. It'S like. Basically, it feels like a cream. It looks like the cream feels like a cream. It doesn't feel like a you know like a runny conditioner, it could be good, it could be bad. I don't know I'll be able to tell more when I rinse out the conditioner, I'm gon na show you guys really quick how much hair came out in the comb, so this is how much came out in the comb. This is kind of normal, like shed hair. When I use the Col after it's been, two weeks has been two weeks in two days since I washed my hair, so I wouldn't say it's too bad. I mean kind of normal, especially cuz. You lose a lot of hair each day, so I wouldn't say it's too bad. I feel like using this in conjunction with the conditioner works really well. I never have done that before believe it or not, and I am natural, so you would think that I was done it before, but I have not so I thought that was really cool. I may decide to add that in my routine it seemed like the conditioner got through to every strand and my hair is detangled now so I don't know we'll see, but I do like how the comb did with the conditioner okay. So this is the back of my head. It actually looks a lot less defined, as I thought I feel like it's mostly defined down here, but I did apply the conditioner every we're. But thinking like the brush kind of gives the look of free zenus of at the root and then definition towards the end. But that's just with the conditioner, so we'll see how it works after I rinse out the conditioner and then start applying the styling products, so I'm literally fresh out of the shower. I need to put some lip balm on according to the directions for the leave-in conditioner. I have to apply this to soaking, wet, conditioned hair and evenly distributed to all strands. It also says that I can cocktail a few drops of the pattern: argan oil hair, serum with a leave-in conditioner. I don't have that. I have the jojoba oil hair serum, so I'm going to mix this in with the leave-in conditioner and hope that I don't get any flakes or anything like that. I don't really know how I want to do this. I'M gon na section off a bottom section. First, okay, so I have the clip in my hair back here. One thing that I did want to point out before I get any further and I forget so tau is an actual towel - that she sells it's a pretty decent sized towel. I actually thought it was gon na be like those turbans house. I don't know why. I thought that I just assumed it it's smaller than like a big towel that you would dry off with, but it's still a good size, especially for the head. It'S like perfect size for the hair, and once you start it, okay, so it's like a. I don't know how to describe the cream, but it's not thick like the conditioner, and so now I'm going to add a little bit of the hobo oil serum. It does have other things in it: ingredient that's the most in here is actually safflower safflower seed oil and then her hover all this next I get through this section. I don't really know what I'm supposed to do with this product. Cuz, I'm not used to doing my wash and goes like this, so I'm gon na do is just kind of finger comb it in and hope that my hair, like I'm, used to just let my curl up how it wants to. Let me see, let me think about this, for a sec, so I'm just going to apply it like I said, and just kind of finger, detangle it through and then move on to another section and then I'm gon na, let it air dry and these products smell. Really good as well smells like a spa exactly like this shampoo and conditioner smells they all smell. Like a spa, no half yeah, I feel like me, finger combing it through its kind of making it making my hair frizzy and not like defined I'm trying to try something new, I'm doing messy section so that my hair kind of flows better and I'm a Sun In my hair, my curl look like normal as it dries, but I don't know so. I'M gon na keep doing this around my whole head cuz. My camera is about to die and I don't feel like putting in another batteries. So I'm going to come back when I get it through my whole head. So this is my hair and she don't think it's quite that bad. It'S definitely a different look and it's not as like shrunken down than it normally is, but I feel like as it's going. It is getting more and more like shrunken, so I'll, be able to tell you guys a lot better in the morning, which is how I'm gon na in this video I'm gon na end it in the morning, but in the meantime, I'm gon na do the final Step to this, which is going to be using the towel, so it's supposed to be after conditioning and applying styling products to wet curls, you supposed to squish your hair with this towel and it's going to drive the excess water. So that's what I'm gon na do as the last step kind of do that all over and I feel like this is also going to prevent flakiness, because the hair products are kind of getting dabbed up. As I do this and then I fluff my hair back out and then I'm gon na, let it air dry, I'm not gon na put any heat to it or anything. I will see you guys in the morning. I feel like I'm in the 70s dude anyway. I will see you guys in the morning, so it's the next morning final thoughts on the hair line, my hair really dry. These lights are kind of bouncing off the little shine that you might see from the serum or the leave-in conditioner. But when I don't have these lights on, I mean you probably can see it through the camera, but I'm just saying, if you see any shine, is really nice really dried? It'S not only bit. It'S just looks drab. My hair also feels dry because a lot of times when my hair is moisturize, sometimes it can still kind of look a little dry just because I have low luster hair. So that's just kind of the life I live, but in this case my hair both looks and feels dry. What I'm thinking about this collection is, I'm not quite sure if it really is for 4c hair or type 4 hair in general. I feel like it's more than three type three here textured wine, because if you look at the products, it's really only the only styling products is the leave-in conditioner and if you have type 4 hair, you know that most of the time I won't say never, but Most of the time, you can't style your hair with just a leave-in conditioner and be ok, especially not as thin as this leaving conditioner. There are some super thick like leave-in conditioners, that do do really well as a styling product. It'S just not as thick. It'S like a cream based product that you will put in your hair if you have type 4 hair in order to get definition or even just hydration, not even just definition. I would feel a lot better about this product and actually both of these products cuz. I paired them together. I would feel a lot better about both of these products. If I did it get some shine and some hydration, but my hair feels super dry as far as the shampoo and conditioner the shampoo conditioner, I don't feel like isn't, is super amazing. Again for my hair tight - definitely not for everybody before my specific hair type, because I kind of had to use a lot a whole lot of the shampoo in order to get it get my hair clean. How I want it and suds the how I want it and I'm not saying this shampoo didn't work. I just Phil I just like shampoos, they get the job done faster because I have a lot of hair and I don't want to be in the shower for like three hours, you know the conditioner, which the conditioner that I have is the heavy conditioner for coolies. I felt like this was like super creamy, and this probably was a better texture as far as like the styling product, even though this is conditioner, but I'm just saying I would have liked a cream product, that's as thick as this for styling portion, but anyway, I Feel like the conditioner is very kind of like suitable meaning. You can find something very similar to this overall. If we have similar hair textures, it's not going to give you the hydration that you're looking for. However, if you have three a two for a hair texture, I feel like this is a perfect collection, perfect line for you, so definitely give it a try out. If you do have those hair, texture, Tracee Ellis Ross is super cool and it's just really cool to see. Somebody, then, where is their natural hair coming out with natural hair lines? Just because it didn't work for me does not mean that it's terrible products at all? It'S just doesn't work well with my hair texture in the future. I hope she expands her in line, though so that she has maybe like some creams, there's like in a jar that you know that we normally use for our hair type so that I can get some really poppin twists out. So with her hair in line. I would really like to see that in the future. Let me know what you guys think about this hair line down in the comments make sure that you subscribe to my channel as well as thumbs up this video before you leave, and I promise I'll see you guys next time, bye, guys

Hey It's Chrystal!: I have yet to see anybody give this line rave reviews and I'm kinda bumbed cuz I was so excited for her. I appreciate your honesty in this review.

Regina J: Thank you for your honesty. I have 4c hair and can't afford to buy products that don't work...it's hard enough trying to keep 4c curls moisturized!

Nom D38: For some reason I knew this product would be disappointing for 4c hair. Ive seen some type 3 and 4a do reviews and they werent impressed with a product, so I knew it would be a fail for 4c

mds: Wow, this is the third review I’ve watched and no one has really cared for this brand.I think these products are geared for looser curl patterns such as Tracee’s?? The packaging is cute though

Karyn Lee-Garcia: The shampoo is a miss for my 4C hair. Last night, I washed with Anita Grant’s shampoo bar and followed with Pattern’s conditioner, leave-in and serums. Amazing results! I am adding a gel styler so I can diffuse for a “wash & go” set. I actually love this line but my low porosity, 4C hair needs to avoid that shampoo - it locks my hair up fast!!

alison hilaire: Thanks for the 4C representation for Pattern review! Our hair is very dry naturally so we need rich products as in full of oils and moisturizing agents. Looser curl pattern can get away with lighter products.

SandraD: Hi Taylor, I really appreciate the review. I have 4C hair and I really wanted this product to work for me. I've spent so much money on testing out products it was disappointing to hear it didn't work for 4C hair. Thank you.

Miss Saucy: Thank you for confirming my experience. My hair felt like straw after using the shampoo, conditioner and leave-in conditioner...my hair started breaking off more than normal.

Ysabeau99: As a 4C I liked the leave in (it pairs well with the Naptural85 line)....the intensive conditioner I’m still on the fence. It worked but I’m not sure if it’s worth the price.

NICOLE JANAE’S VOICE: You’re so Beautiful! Great detailed review. I’m still on the fence about picking them up, I may wait until the second launch ‍♀️

April Brown: I tried Pattern Beauty’s leave in conditioner and styling cream on my fine, dense hair. I was impressed, LOVE IT! I recommend you try it for yourself ❤️

Pk Mac: I’ve used this product for about 1 month now and I can say, yes my 4c hair looks great after washing but feel very dry the next morning. I may gift the rest to a friend type 3 hair.

Lakeysha: I have 4c hair and it didnt work for me. Thank you for your honesty.

Sisima13: Let me tell y’all …I tried the intense conditioner today and NEVER AGAIN it has 0 slip ! I tried to detangle my hair with my Tangle tweezer…that brush got stuck it my damn hair(which never happens) so I took my flexible detangling brush(forgot the name) and that one was better but it was a struggle !!! So I just rinsed it off and used my Aussie moist. I’m sooo glad I bought the travel size one since I really wanted to try it but that was a waste of money. Chunks of my hair were basically coming out.

Cherish Tuggle: I love the honest review. I have 4c hair and I only use pattern beauty products and my hair has never looked better since I’ve been using them, I feel like I should do a review to give some 4c people hope

Lavender Life: great review . love your hair. I'm going to check out the ingredients list for the leave in. And that may help us determine if it will work for our hair type. So maybe for type four, she may need to go ahead and do a butter and a gel. For stylers. I know she said there will be a phase 2. So we will have to wait and see. I have low porosity, if its the right leave or conditioner it might work. But for a wash and go i use the camille rose almond jai twisting butter. To set my curls. Which i consider a light butter. She may need a light butter and a heavy butter. Thanks for the review.

khriseagle: Thank you so much for this review. You saved me from wasting a lot of money! It makes sense her products don’t work for 4c hair. Her curl pattern is clearly looser so I didn’t hold my breath

P Sampson: I’ve tried twice and my hair likes the product. I did braids and rod rollers with it. My hair was surprisingly very soft. The product is not a wash and go product. Although it has a leave in conditioner, it does not work as a styling conditioner. Lastly, you had too much shedding. You may want to get a deep conditioning treatment.

Sherry Underwood: I was so excited to try these products and was majorly disappointed. I'm glad I only purchased the on the go pack which was three sample sizes of everything except for the jojoba serum. I have 4C hair and my hair was extremely dry. There to needed to be a fourth step of a curling/moisturizing cream. The fragrance was really nice though and I wish Tracee well.

kellyn221: I love the heavy conditioner. My wash and gos have been awesome.

Simply _Terneka: Thanks for your honest opinion always. I have 4c hair. Its definitely more for 3 hair. Have a wonderful week.

TheDuo: this was a very comprehensive and helpful review. Well done

Shay Stone: Thank you for the honest review! You’re appreciated

Linda Mitchell: Thank for your review. I have 3b/c hair and I never just use a leave in conditioner. My hair needs oils to seal in the moisture. I wonder if you had used the jojoba oil serum for your final step instead of mixing with leave in would it have given a better shine.

Shai Smith: Thanks for reviewing ! I wanted to see how it would do with 4c hair

Dar M.: Thank You For Your Review And Honesty!!! It Was Nice, You Didn't Have To Spend The Money To Try Her Product...And You Receiv d EVERYTHING...How Kool Was That!!! NOW, If Tracee Ross Wanted To Send ME The Same Box Of Goodies, I Would Give Her Another 4C Hair Honest Review...I Surely Would!!! Some Have Said, Her Prices Are High -Too. In The Past, I've Used Gabrielle Union's Set...And I Did Okay With It. Right Now, I'm Using Plain Ole Suave Shampoo And Wash Out Conditioner...And It Did My Hair Well With...No Hard Task To Detangle And Not A Lot Of Hair Loss -Either. I Also Dyed My Hair This Round. For Now, I'm Sticking With What I Have Right Now...Before Exploring Other Brands. I Used To Dip And Dab Everything...And Have Wasted A Lot Of Products And Money -Like That. So, Moving Forward, I'll Use What I Have (Suave)...Before Jumping Into Something New. As Far As Tracee Ross...Her Hair, Is No Where Near 4C Hair. She's Half Caucasian. Now, If Her Oldest Sister Made An Honest Review...That Could Take Her Sales To Another Plane...If Her Review Was Positive. But, After This Review...And She Saying Her Hair Looks And Feels Dry...I'm Gonna Have To Pass For Now. The Moral Of This Story Is:. More ($$$) Does Not Always Mean Better -Eh.

Sandra Jenifer: Maybe adding more water, conditioner, and creamy product of your choice to your beautifully thick mane might have yielded slightly different results. However, we all have to find the combination that works best for our hair. I’ve not tried the products but plan to once I finish up with my current supply.

Natashya Mitchell-Hendrix: I feel like they should have given you the Intensive Conditioner for tightly textured hair. She is suppose to come out with styles in a phase 2 launch. Youtuber "A Love 4 Me" is type 4 A/B and she likes the product's. It just depends.

Lakneesha Laughs: Oh thank God I found your video before my 4c hair bought this!!

Fine Natural Hair ROCKS: P.S. Your makeup looks GORGEOUS!!!! Forget that.. YOU'RE GORGEOUS!!!

Teresa Rene' Mature Beauty: Great, honest review. Tfs.i appreciate your honesty even though it was sent to you.

Yvonne Laurenty: These products, in my opinion, are far too expensive for 4C ladies to be wasting our time and money on. We do not have Strachey Ellis mixed -race hair. I sent her company a complaint to her original product line not designed for 4-c hair. If this new product line is the company's response, it's a crying shame. I don't spend my money on purchases on anything that seems over-priced, so I won's be wasting time unless this line makes adjustments that encompass 4C hair; and will have to make major adjustments in terms of price.

Fine Natural Hair ROCKS: I keep hearing the hype about this line but when I search for tighter coilier textures, there are crickets... I'll just stick to my trusty Soultanicals detoxes/deep conditioners and keep it moving... lol!!

Sassy Fro: Thanks so much for this honest review. I was really close to buying the trial sizes of this product line, but I think I will pass. My hair is very similar to yours. Great review! By the way, your make up is beautiful will you be doing a video on this makeup look? I hope so.

dbrown4585: Such a great review!!! Thank you

Lungile Mkhungo: Your hair looks soo pretty up like this.

Ariel Glass: Every time I see a commercial for this stuff, its somebody with hair like Tracee saying how good it works...ummm yea because they have 3A-3C hair. They can put mayo in their hair and it will look fine. I have yet to see anyone modeling this stuff with 4C hair like mine.

Scrubz.N.Squatz: Thanks for reviewing ... i totally agree i do too feel like her hair products are catered for type 3 hair ... i wanna say Tracey hair is a type 3 for sure

Johnnie Harper: I don't care who's product anyone uses I use a plastic cap after applying conditioner because it makes the Detangling process much easier and the comb goes straight through. So try that method with all your conditioners regardless of reviewing a product. Get you some iron cuts down in the breakage.

Myrna J: #TaylorAniseSquad!!‍♀️ Love your Review.

mdpeach: Your makeup is gorgeous.

Kecia: First time on your channel. Thank you for the review.

cricket cricket: The product is probably for a different texture but they sent out to everyone for free advertisement

E H: I'm not seeing results I'd like on any reviews. My Black Is Beautiful is GREAT on my 4C hair. When I first used it, I was like what the heck?! My hair was so soft and light weight when I rinsed it I thought it fell out, lol.

Tracey Thomas: Great info. Thanks

Chanthina Jackson: I have this product, but people need to realize it not the hair texture that matter it's the porosity that really matter. You have to learn what porosity your hair is to understand what your hair needs. I have low porosity hair the best way for me wash my hair is with really warm water and shit under an hair streamer with when I apply hair leave in condition and my curls product I defuse my hair with the dyer or I blow dry my hair straight with an blow out serum. It make a big difference.

Masterly Manifested: That’s why every since I was old enough my ma told me to use a cheap shampoo first to knock the build up off then use the expensive shampoo

Claudia Grover-Cofield: I have 4c and 4z hair. Your hair is beautiful. The products don't bring out the beauty of your hair.

Kelly Anthony: Didn't work for me either, Carol's Daughters did and is much cheaper.

LusciousSkin&Hair: Make up looks beautiful xx

Cassie Leonard: I know this is a hair review but you are GORGEOUS

Hey It's Chrystal!: Hey girl hey! How did you do that puff please I can only pull my hair up that smooth when it's straight

Diane Rhinehart: I'm pretty sure that her products are geared toward her type of hair.

Dèja Zhanè: mmmm i have 4a type hair and i honestly dont think the conditioner would be enough to style my hair...... at least not to my liking.

Sherly Smith: Enjoy the review

Amanda T: I wanted to try it but it’s kinda expensive

Leo Phoenix: The products made my hair DRY‼️‼️‼️

💛Lyfesaquarium💛: Thx sis

Shay B: This product is not best for 4c hair...Very disappointed. It works for loose curls like Traci Ross.

E.O.A: That's alot of shedding . I use Taliah waajid and I don't get that much shedding.I will not be buying those products it's targeted towards people of Brazilian type of hair.

Mali Leigh: When will TAYLOR DROP THAT HALLOWEEN inspo! Two videos please! Kaythanksbye!

The Immatur3 Reviewer: I don’t think it’s quite that bad?! No it is really bad

Happytobenaturallybri: Really pretty

Victory Begins in the Garden: the thing that i want the most is that spray bottle where do you get it an please do not say amazon

My Channel: is your hair high porosity?

Tierny T: SOOOO, this product is not for us girls with 4c hair..gotcha....

Lindsey Alíce Ford: Omg you are so pretty

Lasharon Brown: Not worth all that work! Too much alcohol for 4C hair type.

Chalsey Wilder: Honey's handmade would have done you better, and are half the price

Mali Leigh: Yay!!!

The Immatur3 Reviewer: Sorry but if you had the conditioner in your hair and your hair isn’t weigh down then it ain’t fit you sis. Lol I’m glad you reviewed this, coz I will not be buying it. You hair wet with conditioner looked dry, did you wet it in the shower or rub conditioner on dry hair?!

Kay Love: Hey have u tried the Sauve detangle cream spray it is $5 bucks and works very well on 4 type hair. locks in moisture without being overly oily and def does not dry out. U should review it if u have not already. i was skeptical of suave but the product is decent as if they have black women with 4 hair on the front line of the products research and development team. who would a thought suave lol but try it $5 bucks its part of thr natural hair care line for african American

Gaylyn Weekes: Good Mornin & Season’s Greetings Luv@ ⛲️

D I V A Kingsley: GUUUUURl I agree with you your hair did look dry (I have watched many of your videos with some fails, but mostly successes, but bless Tracee Ellis Ross heart on trying to make this gimmick in the natural community (you do know that she was blessed by god to have a softer texture hair)??? Most people judge her on why she was casted on Blackish when there are non bi racial female actresses out there. I commend her on pushing through and making it in the movie/tv biz, however in the hair industry....she’s going to have to try harder for anything in the 4 B, 4C world.

The Immatur3 Reviewer: Nahhh that’s not for me

Aaron A: Uhh the products aren’t bad you were the problem , you didn’t even apply them properly .
