This video gives viewers information on how to grow fine natural 4c hair to 22 inches. In this video I give tips on how to achieve long healthy natural hair. I talk about believing that natural hair can grow, choosing the right shampoos, choosing the right deep conditioner, choosing the right leave-in conditioner, choosing the right oils and butters for hair, protective styling, and watching YouTube on tips to grow hair.

In my natural hair journey, I have followed people such as Nappy fu, Beautifulbrownbabydoll, Indigenous strands and other natural youtubers. These YouTube have helped me believe in the natural hair journey and they have enabled me achieve my current hair length.

Hello, everyone welcome to most beautiful self, always my name is kimi kankari and today i'm talking about how to grow 22 inches of natural hair. When i first started this youtube channel, my goal was to grow my head 22 inches and you can check out my first video and um i'm glad to see that i've achieved that goal. I'M really happy because i kind of didn't believe i was going to achieve the goal, but i just kept somebody said: okay, just just try just set a goal and let's see how it goes. So i'm glad to tell you guys that i have achieved my 22 inches of hair go and now i'm here to share with you how i achieved this goal today, i'm wearing african vintage outfits. This reminds me of like the likes of the odin days. Eboot type of outfits, so i have one um, a necklace from ghana, earrings from ghana, the bracelets from nigeria and the outfit i made myself. I made the article myself, i'm not really the best at sewing, but i made it out to myself and it just it's. Remin, it's reminiscent of the let's say, vintage ebo style, so this outfit is reminiscent of the vintage eboo style. When i first started this channel, i set the goal of growing my hair to 22 inches, because that was my goal. I wanted to have 22 inches of hair. A part of me did not believe that i could achieve that goal, but on that part of me told me to keep persevering and let's see, let's see how it how it goes. So i'm glad to tell you all that i achieved my goal of 22 inches yay. I'Ve achieved my goal of 22 inches and i'm here to share with you all how to achieve your own hair goals. So first question: do you believe that you or any person of african descent can grow their hair to whatever lengths goal that they have? If you believe so, i applaud you because the first step to bring your hair to your hair goal or achieving your hair health and let go is to believe that you can and if you believe you will achieve it so um. How did i achieve my 22 inches heckle? If you check out my previous video, i talked about the different steps that i was going to use or that i i used to achieve 18 inches, not about 22 inches. Most of the things i did, then i'm still doing, but i've learned more things. You know i became wiser over the time i became why so you know so anyways um. So i let martins try my journey. So the first is one you need to believe. I urge you, ladies out there even men, if you're trying to grow your hair. You know that yes, you're, not balding or you don't have any scalp issues, but you believe you have a healthy, scalp and you're healthy. Overall, i mean there's nothing affecting your hair from the inside then i believe that you can grow hair and i need you to also believe in yourself that you can grow your hair to your health and goals most times i see people wonder: oh, is this your Real hair um is this a wig things like that, because there's this disbelief in the african and african american community? That'S all we as black people can grow long hair. This is very false um we can grow long hair or depends on how we maintain it. So the key is: how do you maintain and how do you take care of your hair on a day to day or week to week basis? So if you believe that you can grow your hair to your hairline goals, then you'll be able to achieve and you'll also be able to withstand whatever setbacks that you encounter in your journey, so one believe believe, and you will achieve your hair go. The second point is: what shampoos are you using most natural hair youtubers talk about not using shampoo with sulfates. I believe that is true. Don'T use shampoo with sulfates in most cases in most cases, shampoos with sulfates can strip your hair of the desired oil and just make your hair feel so squeaky, clean yeah. You can yeah clean your scalp and all that, but don't make your hair like squeaky, squeaky, squeaky, clean um. So what i typically do when i'm shampooing is i shampoo on the scalp and make sure that i'm shampooing the scalp. I consider the shampoo on the scalp and i lets the excess wash the strands of the hair, because the strands of the hair are not that dirty and what you need to focus on is the scalp, because the scalp is the bedrock. The scalp is the foundation that builds your strong, healthy, long hair goals, so you need to take care of the scalp and make sure you wash it. The shampoo i use is a sulfate fish shampoo, but i'd really choose that, and i'm not gon na show that here, because i don't actually have any bias towards the shampoo. It'S just a cheap, cheap shampoo i found so the reason i use this shampoo is just because it's cheap and doesn't have sulfates and it works on my hair. So what shampoo do you use? Try to find the right shampoo that is best for your hair that doesn't leave it quickly clean, but still leaves it feeling healthy moisturized, and it feels a little bit conditioned after you use it. So what i look out for in the shampoo is, does my scalp feel clean? If, yes, does my hair strands, do they feel a little bit conditioned um a little bit soft? If, yes, then um did it help clean the strands of the hair? If all of this tree, i answer yes, then that's a good shampoo for me. So just be mindful of the shampoo you use and try to experiment um with different shampoos, conditioning deep conditioning and your regular weekly conditioner. I'Ve told you on this channel. My condition of choice is joyco. I love joyco so much because i believe it's one of the key elements, one of the key um, let's say things: i've added to my regimen that helped it to that help. My hair to get to this length, it is jericho, jericho, deep conditioner keeps my hair, very soft and very manageable. I'Ve tried many conditioners and again, i've been natural for eight years, and i've tried several conditioners, including like the shea moisture conditioner and all of that good stuff right. It didn't work for me as well as joycon worked for me and i recommend anyone to try jerky again. This is not a sponsored video. I barely have enough subscribers to get a sponsored video, but my honest feedback um from using joyco for almost four years now. Is it works for me it works tremendously. Well for me, so i will suggest that, firstly, you could try, try using joyco or try to find a condition that works that works best for you. If your favorite youtuber says oh, she uses a conditioner, but if it doesn't work for you, then let go of that. Conditioner try to find something that works well, for you, your oils and your butters right. So after you're done shampooing your hair and you don't deep condition your hair, your hair, needs all the love and treatment it can get. So this way your butters and oils come in, so the butters i use on my hair is pretty much shea butter or cocoa butter and the oils i use - i have told you before - is palm kind of oil, castor, oil and after using some coconut oil too, All the ingredients i use on my hair in terms of oil actually buy them from from nigeria or ghana right. I love the ghanian palm canal oil. On my hair, i also start using some coconut oil from ghana. I love the nigerian shea butter and i start using cocoa powder from ghana. I'M not saying you should go out there and buy all of this. What i'm trying to say is find oils and the butters that best work for you um. I spoke to a friend of mine lately advising on some oils i used, and she told me that she noticed that shea butter and castor oil actually makes her hair turned brown. I haven't experienced that and i was like news um, so we we did talk back and forth and then she will use a different kind of oil on her hair. She is looking into using argon oil on my hair, so this example i gave is just to show that even if i suggest use shea butter or not all of things like that right and it doesn't work well for you - try to find oils that work well. For you, there are so many so like so so many oils. I can't even start listening to them here, but there's so many oils that will work well for your hair, argan oil, coconut oil, um palm kernel, oil, castor oil, um, sweet almond, oil, there's. So many. So please try the different oils and find out the one that works the best for your own hair care, regimen leave-in conditioner. Do you have a trusted living condition? I use for my hair type. My hair is, i would say, butter line 4c 4b hair type. My hair loves leaving conditioner. So when i shampoo my hair, i deep condition after i'm done with those two steps. I go for then add a living conditioner, my hair, so i add this towards when i'm about to style, my hair add a living conditioner in there and then after my leave-in conditioner, i add my oils or butter. So when i'm adding my living conditioner to my hair, i put in my living, i put in my oils or butter to seal in the moisture, so try to find a good living conditioner that works best for you. I like thick leave-in conditioners because they it helps coats. My hair well, and mostly, i have my hair in styles like this protective styles, so um, i just wrap it all and it doesn't make my hair feel heavy. So my suggestion is: try using living conditions because living conditions living conditions helped me in my hair journey to keep my hair soft and feeling very moisturized protective style. Like you see what i have here, it's quite cute, though, do you have a go-to protective style that you do that you do? Mine is pretty much what you see here. My hair is pretty much tucked in under this bang, i'll call it and then it's just like a a bun. It'S it's quite simple to do. Um. I love this stuff because it was easy and i've had this stuff like a week. I don't even touch it. Like i don't touch my hair, if, if you see it in a natural person who, if there's any person with natural hair who is like who does the list during the weeks, your hair, it is me i do the list during the week to my hair. I take my time: do my hair in the weekend and then forget about it like seriously: no touching the hair during the week so um. This is like my go-to protective style. I'Ve shown other protective styles in um on my youtube channel i'll link, some of the protective style videos in this video somewhere here or here i'll link it so anyways protective style helps a lot because the least amount of time you touch your hair, the easier it Is for your hair to grow? The reason is first, i hair growth on the scalp, but it tends to break easily at the ends. So if you keep touching your hair and touching your hair and pulling and pulling and all of that good stuff right, so you may be expressing growth from the scalp. But then you'll be seeing overall length retention, and this is because you've been breaking off the ends of the hair. So if you can find protective styles that prevent you from dragging talking and pulling your hair, that can help greatly in your natural hair journey. Examples. Are this wigs um, even extensions, also be careful with essentially because for me my hair braids haven't worked the best, but there's some people who love doing braids and braids work well for them. For me, braids don't really work over me. It'S like i kind of still fit. I don't want the blue one, but i stay off it most times so, but wigs work well for me and doing something like this like a bun works well for me, so try to find a protective style that works best for you. Another tip is know your growth rates on that tip is know your growth rates. I still i start off this channel, stating that hair grows at six inches and i was expecting to see about 24 inches after the year runs now. This is a year after, and i only saw four inches of hair four inches of roots. I'M not sad about this. I mean i'm happy because i learned my groceries, so some people grow hair at the rate of six inches per year. I grew here at rated at four inches per year and i said i have been natural for eight years, so imagine four times eight right, so i should have had about 32 inches about that's two inches of hair. Right now i have 22 inches of hair, which to me is good: i'm not going to cry about that. I'M not going to make a thought about that. To me it's good um, but i learned my growth rate. I'Ve learned that okay, my hair, grew at four inches per year, so i'm not going to compare myself with person a who grows at six inches, but i'll just do my best to grow my hair, so the best that it can grow so know your growth rates. This will help you greatly in your hair journey so that you won't compare yourself to person a or person b and then my next point is please avoid comparison. The natural hair journey takes time time and patience. It takes time and patience. I'Ve been natural for eight good years, eight years, eight eight years, it sounds like a lot right. It'S almost a decade. I'Ve been natural, so i've grown 22 inches in eight years and it's taking me a lot of patience to get to the point where i am right now. So in that sense, don't compare your hair to someone else's hair um. Just do your best to grow your hair at the rates your hair wants to grow right and please avoid all those quicky quirky, whatever whatever name the rights grow. Your hair in two seconds, quacky growth rates. All those things like that, right, all those quick growths, quickie lengths all of that rights grow your hair in two seconds screw your hand, one minute, all those things they're all lies. They are all bs rights, bs bsps, so try your best just focus on what is your growth rates? Learn about that and make um take care of your hair, take care of your hair so that you can maximize and retain as much length as possible, giving your own growth rates. Your hair is special and beautiful. Don'T compare yourself your hair to anyone anyone's hair! Just learn how to take care of your own, beautiful natural relax, whatever take care of your hair to have the healthiest and longest hair you can possibly have then the last but not least, point is follow natural hair or hair youtubers. There are so many that are followed over the time. One nappy fool: i love her so much. It'S amazing um indigenous strands. I love her so much. In fact it's my next. My hair goes she's. My hair goes right, so um she's, just a beautiful woman, wonderful and wonderful person, um and so many others, beautiful brown baby doll. I fold her for a long time and there's so many others so follow natural hair youtubers. There are so many tips out there. I mean you, don't have to follow my channel, but if you follow my channel i'll be happy, please subscribe if you want to, but just find youtubers that's flower with you that go well with you right. Um, like i said, i love nappy, foo, nappy, foo, she's, she's, wonderful, she's, a wonderful person and wonderful whom i've been. I thought i've been fooling her for years now, so in that sense find youtubers that flow well with you find the ones that you can relate sweets. Do they have the same hairstyle um, hair type. They do the same things today. Kind of like have the same. Maybe schedule as you do so follow those ones that kind of have the same sketch as you do, or have a similar hair type to yours and learn from them. There'S so many good information out there on youtube. There'S so many amazing people on youtube doing great things talking about hair, um teaching us about how to grow hair like if not because of them, i would not have the length i have right now because they made me believe that it's possible they made me know That it's possible to have long, healthy hair and because of them i have the hair. I have right now, so please follow as many hair youtubers as you believe in because they give good tips that can help. You grow your head to its best length and health um, so these are a few points on how to grow your hair to its best length in other videos. I will expand more on these points, but this has a few things to think about. Overall, though, i do believe that everyone of african descent can grow her hair to whatever length she wants to achieve. So i urge you to believe in yourself believe that you can grow, and you will definitely see a lot of improvements in your hair. As long as you put in the work because it's work so i think that's putting the work, you'll definitely see improvements to your hair, your hair's health and length so bye. For now you take care and i'll see you all later. You

African Fhair lady: Congratulations on achieving your hair goal. I'm glad u mentioned rarely talked about tips like believing its possible to achieve one's hair goal and knowing one's growth rate.

AfricanDiaspora.in.LondonUK: from London Brixton uk. it is nice to see darkskin girl, celebrating her 4c hair goal. i have natural 3b/3c 24 inch hair. i am fed up of people asking if it is my hair..( i am darkskin, ) they tell me, i must have indian in me! or they feel my hair, and are shocked when they feel the hair is attached to my scalp! Protect your ends, it is the oldest part of you hair end.keep it moist! lots of water, castor oil & hair grease to seal oil.

1GoldenBreeze: This is my first time seeing your channel I'm now subscribed. I said a lot of things in my original post last night that somehow was deleted so I will not repeat them all. Just know I think you have done an excellent job with your hair, and I agree with the great pointers you have given.

Stacy ann brown: I love your style! Absolutely lovely

SCH SAS: Yes Joico is the truth. I use both the shampoo and conditioner. Love it. I found that my conditioner needs to have silicone in it. I have used many different conditioners without silicones, all the natural popular ones like mielle, shea moisture and all that but came back to joico. With oils I use pumpkin oil which is also great for reducing shedding. My hair is about 26 inches and I swear by washing and conditioning at least once a week. Because I use butters and oils I'm fine with using a sulfate shampoo that is a moisturing one plus conditioning and moisturising negates any drying effect from a sulphate shampoo. Great video thanks for sharing.

JL: Congratulations!!! Love it ... Thank you for sharing

Some of your words spoken I could not distinctively make out what word you were actually saying. I listed to that part over and over and got nothing. I just could not understand what you were saying.
