Okay, here comes childhood hi, I'm Danielle. I do too much. I like hair, talkin, cosplay, music, art and stuff. It'S good to be back for yet another episode of the star puppy versus moisture series is an illustrious long going channel favorite if you'd like to catch up or just check out the other episodes they're linked in the description box. Please click in the natural hair community. There is a particular method which is tried, and maybe not so true - it's a very divisive method. It is called the LOC or the L, Co method. L stands for liquid, o stands for oil and C stands for cream, but sometimes L stands for leaving o stands for oil and C's is decay from I didn't make the rules some people like the loc method, some people like the LC o method and in our Last episode, we discovered that I had a preference for one of these methods if you'd like to know which wonder neath this beautiful bonnet is my hair fluff nugget. So what star puppy vs moisture is: is hair science, experimentation to figure out which products and which method work best for my 4c super dry, kinky, low, porosity, sparse density, don't forget fine streams, extraterrestrial hair, usually the what I like to do is split my hair down The middle apply one set of method on this side and another set of method on this side, and then the next day we feel it up. We look at it. We rate it on these criteria and then one team wins. Today'S contender on my left side will be shea moisture, coconut and hibiscus curl enhancing smoothie the Oh G. This was the product that got most of us started and on this side, Luster's pink oil, moisturizer, hair lotion. These are the one. In the comment section. I'Ve been seeing a lot of low porosity girls and a lot of 4c girls or just girls with textured hair did y'all are just a wealth of knowledge, and I appreciate you so much have been very forthcoming in that you don't use three products, because those three Products are too heavy for your low porosity hair to absorb. I'Ve also seen a lot of dissent with established brands like Cantu shea moisture, okay, basically those two and while I myself still use musical tools. The point is, I wanted to see two things: if these newer natural hair products can actually hold their own against other, oh geez, and if the LC method would work for me in general, we're not using an oil, we are using liquid and cream LC method, baby. That is not correct, so I'm gon na go do what's going there. That'S normal, so I'll be back to apply these products a few moments later wait! No! I just thought about this. This is an oil moisturizer. So is this really LC versus LC? This is more like LC. This is Elle but they're, both oh jeez yeah. That still makes sense. Okay, be back one eternity later. What we're gon na do before we more Sarai's our hair is moisturize our skin. Some of you might be thinking to yourselves is today the day. Is she finally going to reveal that skincare dough? Not yet yet, but I will show you one product to use and what I want is to get y'all a deal. Okay, what I need y'all to do is listen to this review. Look at how my skin looks after this serum and I'm gon na need you to click the link and use my code star, puppy 15. Let'S get their attention! Okay, this is quad active boost Street Ilsan. I just call it gold. Put it right on the hand, baby feel free to click the link in the description box below you start puppy 15 back to our regularly scheduled programming, star puppy, vs., moisture of the hairs wow that smells like 2009 shea moisture, coconut and hibiscus curl enhancing smoothie. It feels exactly the same as I remember kind of like a whipped light, but a substantial creamy texture spreads well easy to spot in your hairs. Oh there, it is. Oh, this part of my head suffered so much breakage, I'm making a fuss pika. Now, here's! Why we're all here? Okay, here comes childhood. The texture has not changed. It'S like it's like this slick, Oh light consistency, so I became a natural during like the boom of natural hair care, so the learning curve was deep. So I'm very glad that I can be a resource of someone with 4c kinky kinky hair, just for like reference. Hiking Loki still experimenting, but it actually feels just fine, but I've been I got into the natural hair community when it was like. You have to use all of these things. You have to use all of these products in this order. All your hair will explode. I think I've just written off products that used to work for my chemically straightened hair. It'S like, I couldn't possibly work for my kinky textured hair. My hair is like okay for the crown, since my crown was like so broken. I mean that in a metaphysical and literal sense, I don't mess with her. No more so I'm gon na go grab my melon haircare, I'm gon na pump one pump and put it on this little crown I plumped too much. I leave my crown out of my experimentations when she grows back. Maybe maybe and I'll see you once I finished my whole head and with that I'll see you tomorrow, hello, let's take down these results. Yeah the winner is pretty clear. I am surprised. Oh, my gosh. I'Ve never felt such a clear winner, whoo. Oh, this is the clearest winner in a long time. Listen, we might have our problems with Shea moistures advertising policies, even though it might have been years ago, but the og the og works, because this look, it even stretched it more look at how contracted this. Is you could feel there is a difference, there's a big difference as much as I love a little oldie, but goodie this? I don't even know what I'm gon na do with this tube. Now. Thank you for your service. When I was a little girl, though I have too much going on, I'm only going to be posting on Saturdays for the foreseeable future. I will update you once I know when I'm coming back, but the star puppy podcast is under way. Send me your questions at Star puppy podcast at gmail.com, so thank you so much for watching I'll see you next time this has been meet and yell your resident, weird or star puppy's signing out stay with me now star, puppy away forget to Like share subscribe. If you enjoyed the video

Chaniece Vaughns: I agree that the LOC/LCO acronyms are confusing. That’s why I do the MSS method: moisturize, seal, style ‍♀️

kari: Can literally smell the pink lotion through the screen lordt

LoxsannB: This girl looks like she drinks the right amount of water . So pretty

Olorato Tuahuku: Your editing is so good it's like the voices and letters were there when filming.

Edythe Stevens: Your personality is EVERYTHING to me ❤❤

Misha: our hairs have the same characteristics down to the breakage at the crown (mine are more fine though ) so I feel SEEN. your representation matters girl

Ashley Kirby: Oh! I got this method from Faye in the City and she puts a plastic cap on after she puts her leave-in on her hair! It works wonders if anyone is having trouble with dry hair I tried it for the first time and it's awesome! I don't remember how long she leaves it on but I'd say like 10-15 mins.

Cinderella Boss: Danielle you're getting me through this quarantine. ❤

Pretty Key: I swear this is the only channel I can watch through the whole video because it's sooo entertaining❗

Keana: She got that "I only use Korean products" skin.

Jess: I’ve been fooled by moisturizing products thinking that my hair is well moisturized on wash day only for my hair to be DRY two days later. That’s the ultimate test if a product can keep my hair moisturized for a week without me wetting my hair. I have low porosity hair so my hair can lock in moisture well, the issue is getting the moisture in. When it comes to deep conditioning or leave in products put on a plastic bag/cap for 15-20 min to use your head’s natural heat to help with absorption.

xXaresXx: one thing that’s REALLY helped my low po 4a/b hair is making the switch from thicker products to more liquidy and water based ones. the thicker ones tend to just sit on top of my hair

MissBrittneyofCourse: Star puppy vs moisture needs to try qhemet biologics. It might just end the series, ijs. From one lo-po fine stranded 4c gal to another, you'll never have amother dry day again.

Gene Mechanic: Girl, have you tried mini braids? I did it (took me 7 hours) and left it in for 2 months. I managed to retain length and washed my hair twice a week with it and used slight moisture cream throughout the week. 5 months later I'm still using mini braids as a protective style because hair looks & feels healthier!

goessiee: Have you ever considered going to an hairdresser where they can identify your hair type and give you proper advice to achieve your goals? Don't go to any hairdresser but one that specializes in afrohair. My personal experience was great! This also saved me tons of money cause I didn't have to try every product in the whole damn store

kitten007ccts: I've heard tell that the formula for the pink hair lotion may have changed since the old days. One of my friends who's been using it since the 90's said she had to stop using it cuz it doesn't treat her hair the same way recently.

Amanda O.: Liquid cream/butter is amazing for me too. Oil has to be used as a prepoo or final rinse or for scalp massage for my hair.

Robin De’era: Actually the old g Is blur magic . Believe it or not does wonders to 4c hair for moisture.

Lorian Tompkins: Girl, we have the EXACT same hair, so thank you so much for all of your hair advice!

Victory Triumph: So proud of your success! Your hair is healthy, thick, and luscious. Keep the great videos coming.

She X: I've been watching your videos and literally saying "she's going to experience breakage in her parted areas!" I use to suffer from this but I've learned that parting my hair with a comb and switching up how I part my hair has been key.

MMW: I can’t stop smiling while watching you!!! Your presence and dramatics are addicting! Keep up the great work Queen! FYI- I use the curling enhancing smoothie and I love it! And oh I love your natural eye brows!!!

animalunaris: I watch your channel to learn more about taking care of my little boy’s hair which seems to be high porosity 4B/4C (he’s only 18 months old so still developing and changing) I love the earrings!

cassenav: danielle you are stunning! and your personality is really unique!! you are like the internet's sister

Ericka White: I struggle with dry hair too, and I love the curl enhancing smoothie! I use water, a water based leave-in conditioner, and the the curl smoothie. My curls popppp and become super moisturized.

Tam Lee: I don't even watch your videos for hair tips anymore. I watch them just to watch YOU You are hilarious, creative and beautiful ❤

Leondra John: 4c-able furture...im the only one that got that yes okaylol

Sylvia Hoffmann: God you’re freaking hilarious I have 2a hair so this isn’t helpful to me at all, but I can’t stop watching!

Jackie G: The first time I went natural in 2000, way before a lot of these natural hair care products came out. But what I used then and even sometimes now were Sta-Sof-Fro (which my mom told me about) and Door Gro products.

Syd_ Coleman: I’ve discovered that leave-in conditioner works wonders for my naturally dry, low porosity, type 4 hair. You might want to try deep conditioning every wash day to help improve moisture retention. My personal favorite is the the Shea Moisture Manuka Honey and Mafura Oil Hair Masque. I apply it to my hair after I wash and condition it, then put on a plastic cap for about an hour. It changed the game for my dry hair

Letoria Bennett: Yes gurl my crown is my struggle point! I never tried the shea moisture cream yet but i will. We have the same hair texture and it looks good!

Mimi's Craft: Pink lotion mannnnn that is a throw back!!!! It worked really well for my hair when I pressed it. Made it really light and fluffy. I think they have a hair care line specifically for naturals now. I liked pink though. Shea moisture is just so drying on my hair when I wear it out loosely. Works well when I protective style though with twists

Ashley Boles: Ohmygod thank you for the code! Been looking to replenish my faves from wishtrend, the propolis 15% ampoule and the I'm From Vitamin Tree Water Gel are my saviours for nearly blinding skin when I have shoots or dates, and I am definitely adding in the essence. Maybe that will bring it all the way to actually BLINDING lol Your skin is always so bingbing, I can't wait to see your whole routine. Thanks for the peek and again for the code! Keep being weird and gorgeous!

Vanessa Lewis: A tip that I picked up from watching other natural type 4 YouTubers and trying it myself is applying your leave-in in the shower so that the steam can help it penetrate into your strands or using warm water if you do it outside of the shower and put on a cap to trap that heat in while you prepare to go on to the next step this helps me a lot since I'm low-porosity, fine strands with medium to low density and also have type 4 hair mostly a mixture of 4a & 4b but hopefully this is helpful to you

Julisa B: I love seeing you smile and having a more positive attitude in your videos.

saliena9344: I’m so happy about the winner because I just bought that product on a whim before seeing this and I have the same hair texture so I’m excited to try it now!

P.L.: Omg I LOVE hair lotion, I will never let it go!!! I consider it creme and oil, because of the consistency. Also loving this series ALWAYS!!!

Happy=Lola: I have 4C low porosity hair as well and the one thing that has helped me retain length is to use fresh aloe vera as a pre-poo the night before. This is also the time that I detangle my hair, put them in twist, them slap on a plastic bag and my bonnet. I was my hair with the twist still in, then when I apply the conditioner I use my tangle teaser from Cantu to further detangle my hair. I also use blue magic to seal my ends.

BH: Omg you are adorable and hilarious!! Usually I skip to the end for the results but I watched this whole video!! Loving every minute of it lol. You got a new subscriber girl‍♀️

Gia Robinson: Was anyone else hype when she picked shea moisture I ride so hard for shea moisture curl enhancing smoothie. I was like yaaaaaasss, we did the thang

1neta I: Loveeddd this! I always thought pink lotion wasn’t a good product lol it would be great to see you tackle grease next. Another oldie!

olivia young: I’ve been natural since the late 90’s. Ive been adding the old school products back into my routine.

justify798: Quick tip, Sis: When applying the Pink Lotion, only use a dime size. I know it sounds crazy. I have your texture, just thicker and kinkier. I use it for my twist outs. On 4c hair, if it's oil- based, less is more. Will take longer to dry and will not set firmly. If its water based, depending on the style, more will give the hair softness but definition. *The hair "sets" because the water evaporates from the hair strand. Keep in mind, if the hair is low porosity, more water-based product will take longer to dry. On 4c hair, the goal is to lock in the moisture as it sets. So then, you want to use the product on damp or dry hair, rarely on completely wet hair. Will take long to dry, flake and leave a sticky film if hair is completely wet. Remember, less is more. Hope this helps.

RaisinAPhoenix: I just love your personality ❤️ you seem so sweet and genuine. Good luck to you and fluff nugget! Subscribed

Scarlet Kurono: Haha your adorable sister I'm not a 4C BUT I'm a fan already ... At least as a mostly 4a 1/4 4b I do share your low porosity and thin hair So even I can learn from you ❤

Antonette White: I heard it helps with low porosity hair if you put a plastic cap on after your leave-in to help it seep in and it also helps the cream/styled work better. I have medium to high porosity hair and haven’t tried this yet but those who have seemed to get great results

Let's GetFit4You: BTW love your channel!...and yes I am subscribed LoL. After 20 years I finally figured out that it doesn't matter if I do the LOC LCO or whatever.. my 4 c hair litterally pushes out the moisture when I twist/braid/bantu/or any kind of compression. The only thing that works (Aka my hair stays moisterized for 2-3 days) is a good leave in (infused with an oil) shea butter or a cream then I loosely wrap my hair around a flexi-rod, so I get stretch and some hairstyle. Believe me you should try this! Keep up the content :-))

American Phonics: It's ok to admit that the Pink stuff is trash. We honestly need to throw away a TON of old practices that were never very good for us to begin with, and it's more than ok to acknowledge that fact.

Myname Here: I never really liked most of Shea Moisture's products. When I first went natural, I used Cantu or Kinky Curly Knot today. With basic shea butter added to that, I started lerning my hair. I used Luster's Pink when I was relaxed and couldn't get my hair past chin length.

Trinee Ellison: I STILL go for the curl enhancing smoothie most days. Gives me the best twist outs

Zarinah: The memory of scent is honestly incredible. Haven't used certain products in a literal decade but I get a faint whiff and BAM I'm right back in the late 90s/early 2000s

Carmen Ice: Oh the days of Pink lotion, oh how I smell it through the screen. Oh and the shea moisture CH smoothie, how I have to be real light-handed with that one or my hair will never dry. But hey girl, I don't even have 4c hair or type 4 for hair. But your videos are so entertaining, and plus we both natural so it shouldn't matter anyway. For my low porosity color-treated hair.... Yes, you read that correctly. Though my hair is bleached and dyed, it did not shift or for better term change my hair porosity or my curls. Water still sits its teasing ass on my strands and so does products that are too thick. And I no, one of the main things they tell you when your hair is being bleached is to take in consideration of your porosity and that if it's high to avoid coloring even more. But my hair is stubborn, so stubborn it used to fight relaxers, lol. My strands were not phased. So now that it's natural again, it's still stubborn and strong. Anywho, I'm the type that can get away with just leave-ins and I'm good to go, literally. My top three leave-ins are Olaplex 6 leave-in cream(colored hair love, so yeah) and Mixed Chick's leave-in, and Kinky curly knot today. I don't like gels, so that's a no. If I need my wash n go to last longer than a week, then I go in with a heavy cream that will seal the deal for another week, but I try my best to not stretch my hair out for another week, cause again, its colored hair, and I don't like skipping treatments and such. Like I'm really serious when it comes to my hair care routine, and though I am a lazy natural to a point, I won't skip out from treating and caring for my hair, especially that it's colored and been colored for the past 2-3 years.

rynnpen: I used to use Shae Moisture all the time but it was breaking me out so bad. But that's the best my hair ever looked and felt and I'm so sad

Blackeful: I'm happy that you are involved with Korean skincare. Do tell us your regiment girl☺️ Shea Moisture wins quite expected even though some formulas changed

Siph: "this part of my hair suffered so much hair breakage — I'MMA MAKE A VIDEO"

Sonia Gray: You are probably the only one with the real real textured hair that I can relate to...love the honesty.

Melissa Williams: They totally changed the pink lotion formula , it’s not nearly as good now but I’m happy to see that your hair growing and healthy !

Chelbe Tebbs: I love You!! Your hair, personality, vocabulary, skin, weirdness.. just everything. God bless❤

A Hungry Leo: I also have 4c hair and went back to using grease. Like Blue Magic hair grease and it works wonders. I spent so much money on natural hair products and led to believe that grease was bad and clogged pores, etc. Ever since I went natural my hair be DRY and my scalp. I started using a little blue Magic after wetting my hair, I oil my scalp and use it on my hair shaft for twist outs!

Google Account: I love your personality You’re so so cute, creative, and unique Keep shining, love! ✨

Jamesca Prosper: Hi Daniel, Im Hailing From Saint Lucia .we have the exact same hair texture problem areas and all! ... and i have tried ALOT of products but one product always comes out at the top for me ... its the Aunt Jackies Butter Creme intensive Moisture sealant ... it gets my hair sooo soft and moisturized like i have never experienced in my life !! .. wud love if you reviewed it ... i usually seal it with some Hair Grease and my hair stays moisturized for DAYSSSSS

Tierany Rechelle: Star Pup another Kawaii adventure ♡ Love ya Danielle ♡ p.s. grease and water equals=Yass (I like the Blue magic Henna and Bronnerbrothers super gro)

Sashante Lawrence-Wilks: You’re doing a great job.. I’ve been watching your videos for the past few weeks ! Keep it up.. I am entertained

kapparhotau181: I had the same issue with my crown. I do 5 sections now, the crown I show more love and use thicker buttercreme for it so it can stay moisturized. I stopped using Shea Moisture due to my sensitivity to coconut oil. Wow just looked at Pink Lotion ingredients and it had parabens, mineral oil, and beeswax. It's great at moisturizing the first day but then the build up and harsh chemical is drying, in the long run just doesn't work for my hair. When shea moisture comes out with a non coconut oil product for high porosity hair then I may go back to them.

ShinyNachos: Oooh! I’m putting it out in the universe! ✨❤️It would be so amazing if you get to partner with Wishtrend and create a skin package for them. That would buy it in a heartbeat!!❤️✨ Sitting here anticipating the day!

Elmi: I wish I could find someone as entertaining and fun to watch as u but with curly girl method related stuff. If anybody has any recomendations let me know. Addicted to your content even tho my hair doesn't match any of this.

Keena Scott: I use an anti humidity leave in, oil, grease and then a light styler. I also have low porosity hair. But my hair is fine and dense with lots of frizz. Doing it like this leaves my hair soft and moisturized for weeks.

EJ Reloaded: warm water helps open up the cuticle.. ultimately allowing for your products to absorb better

Callme_Kada: I would love to see you try texture ID styling cream (or the styling products in general) it is superrrr moisturizing and my hair loves it. Also as suggested by Kimberly cherell you can try doing your leave-in in the shower

PurplePuffs: 4c hair girl here.... when i did attempt the L.O.C./ L.C.O method, I used Cantu leave in conditioner to fill in wherever it could & i would seal with an oil. Shrinkage is the devil & I rebuke it in all forms lol. Cantu root rinse and root relief are amazing for the scalp. The leave in conditioner and coconut curling creams are good for twists/knots/braids. The "dry deny moisture seal gel oil" keeps my hair from shrinking/drying up while I'm doing it. If you haven't tried Cantu products, I highly recommend them.

Music Lover04: Now pink lotion is definitely something I wouldn’t put on my hair again

Robyn Henderson: I would love to see a video about your fashion and wardrobe! You always have the cutest outfits and accessories. Also, I would definitely watch makeup videos from you as well.

QueenUnicorn🦄: I never liked POM, even when relaxed. I used Lustrasilk Moisture Max. Try that one next time :D

Breanna Parker: That curling soufflé never worked for me. I’ve purchased it like 4 times since I’ve been natural because I see everyone swear by it and every time I get let down because it does nothing for my hair. It does smell good though

Reyna Washington: When she zoomed in on her hair with the "oh no" I lost it

Synthetic Teapot: I don't have your hair texture but I love watching your hair videos so much. You're so fun.

Kayla: You should try ORS buttercreme hair butter and carols daughter coco creme! They are very moisturizing and not expensive at all. Those two products are really great for retaining length. I think it would really be a game changer to add into your regimen.

Angel: I’m not against being called #PupGang Pup Gang Assemble

lfutrell82: My hair is recovering from breakage as well. It's not in just one section though (I wish). It's random broken pieces all over. It happened when I was taking down faux locs. They were beautiful, but I'll never get them again.

MatchaTea: your videos always make me smile and laugh

Reesha Miller: Awww star puppy. Lol I know it’s nostalgic but it not a moisturizer. It gives you what I call “fake moisture” , tricks you into thinking you’re adding moisture but when it dries it’s just OILY DRY

Judy Judges: My mom always used pink lotion! I am mixed and I always wanted to use it but she told me it wasn't for me I still love the smell of it and watching my mom put it on every wash day. Sometimes she would even give me a little dollop to try! She doesn't use it anymore though I like their new bottles

The Black Conservative Woman: I love you Star puppy. You’re my sister from another mister ❤️‍♀️

Janet Umukoro: Have you tried hair grease before? Lately it’s been helping a lot, and it’s cheap

Tierany Rechelle: Oh! Design naturals Honey custard is a gold star for low porosity, & TGIN Honey whip foam is just a hydrating mousse! Its fab♡

InMyOpinion: Your energy is live! Bless up

NICKI MURDERED CARDI N MEGAN: I love heavy cream and hair lotions in my hair. Anything thin will disappear quickly in my 3b3c4c hair type. That pink hair lotion is good and oily i love it. I have to use heavy stuff on my hair and it feels good being very oily and moisturizing. My poodle puff(my hair name) is full and love hot water also. ANY OILS OR GREASE I USE IS CASTOR OIL ONLY. everything else is way too thin

V_the0nly1: Your hair still looks amazing.

R.K.C: The only things I like from Pink is the Glosser and the Sprits humidity control. They have the best spritz to be honest out of all the ones I’ve tried from other brands.

Bratz Pigments and Glam: For those who are having breakage at your crown, check out the green beauty channel and she has a video on it that saved my life and strands

Lorraine Lou: I can’t get over how beautiful you are! You are so stunning and your teeth are perfection

Ami Hayashi: Try the Kuza hairline! I love their braid spray as a leave in.

LOLMaida: Your eyebrows are literally giving LIFE ! Like I am so satisfied watching them !!

Crystal Nelson: I thought you was using Luster's Pink Lotion as a Leave-in & the Curl Enhancing Smoothie as a Sealer. I might try that later on my next wash day

LaBreka Brown: You should try grape seed oil and Taliah Waajid curl sealer...nothing has worked better on my 4C, gone strand, kinky, medium density hair.

Brittany Tiera: Can you do a lookbook? I love the way you dress. I find that wearing natural hair and feminine clothing is a look.

Ángel Aguilera: I have 3c4a have, but I watch you because I love your personality!! Keep it up please and stay safe.

Shafiqah: Shea moisture curl enhancing smoothie still slaps I agree

Alex: Real starpuppy OGs have already seen her skin care routine

Yaya DIY Creations: You are hilarious!!!!! Love your videos!
