Hey everyone, its Mika, it's been a month and I finally took down my curly crochet braids and it's time to get this hair clean. I picked up some new hair products to try from OGX for this wash day, because Walgreens had a BOGO sale and I just had to get in on it, and I wanted to share how they worked out. Am i forcing kinky natural hair first up its the OGX water, weightless, hydration and coconut water shampoo? This shampoo claims to replenish and rejuvenate dehydrated strands with a residue free formula for weightless hydration and shine. It also claims to be sodium lauryl sulfate free. I haven't tried too much called a shampoo, so I thought that was different and it's true to the scent because it smells just like coconut. This shampoo produce lots of suds even on the first wash and remove the majority of that buildup on my second wash. My second wash had even more suds and did the job of getting rid of every bit of buildup. It was so clarifying and so soapy that I felt like no. This product has to have some kind of sulfate in it. So I went back and I checked the ingredients again. What I did find is that it does contain a sulfate is just not sodium lauryl sulfate. This one is called ammonium Laurel sulfate in the realm of sulfate ammonium Laurel. Sulfate is the lesser of two evils, because it has a more complex molecular structure and it's physically larger than sodium lauryl sulfate, which makes it difficult for the sulfate to penetrate your hair and be physically irritating to your hair or drying to your hair. I personally I'm not opposed to using shampoos with sulfates in them, but I know a lot of you are so I just wanted to put that out there that it does contain a sulfate is just not sodium lauryl sulfate next up is the OGS weightless, hydration and Coconut water conditioner, this conditioner states that it's ultra lightweight replenishes and rejuvenates dehydrated strands again with a residue free formula for weightless, hydration and shine. This conditioner was consistent when it came to smell and it has a very loose light consistency true to its statement, so I applied the conditioner to each section of my hair. Let it sit for about two to three minutes and began to detangle in process right away. I noticed that my hair was just not giving way as much in comparison to my favorite conditioner. I think this part just didn't work out for my hair texture as a conditioner to detangle with because of its lightweight formula. I probably wouldn't repurchase this one, but I definitely recommend you try the OGX tea tree and coconut milk conditioners. They have much thicker consistencies and have worked much better in my hair. In comparison to this one, the deep conditioned I picked up: og X's, renewing argan oil of Morocco, intense moisturizing treatment. This treatment claims to have a blend of argan oil of Morocco, which penetrates hair shafts and restore shine and softness. While strengthening your hair. I applied it to each section of my hair and let it sit for about 15 to 20 minutes. My hair felt much better after using this product. You can see that my hair looks very hydrated, because all my curls are popping is giving me that curl tease, it just felt a lot softer and I intensify the treatment even further by using my thermal hair care hothead for about 15 minutes and it left my Hair feeling even softer and hydrated, by the way, all three of these products do recommend that you use them in conjunction with other OGS products. So I definitely recommend that you follow that if you're definitely going to use a more lightweight conditioner that is not going to allow you to detangle your hair. I definitely recommend that you use the treatment. It'S definitely gon na soften up your hair and make it more easy to detangle it. I hope you like this video thumbs up if you did subscribe for more, if you haven't already. Thank you so much for watching and I'll see you in the next one bye.

Jai-Shirelle Marshall: I love how you explain the difference between the sulfates. I never understand it.

Dee M: I have a combination of type 4 a/b/c hair. I recently started using this and I absolutely love it. For the conditioner I would recommend applying it to your hair while its sopping wet it makes it a whole lot easier to work your fingers and comb through versus when you squeeze the water out and then apply.

Aye!ThatsNicole: *new subbie alert* I work at Ulta and I've been eyeing this shampoo and conditioner for a while, my texture would be considered 3c/4a and my hair retains moisture well. I'm thinking this would be a good choice for me! This video was VERY informative, thank you!
