Hey y'all glenn jamie here, founder of good hair bar and naturalishes. We are standing in the world's first 100 full service, natural hair salon and spa literally, it doesn't exist anywhere in the world. Hey y'all know how i am about hair. My song is playing i'm a little distracted, but i i love taking care of myself when it comes to neil's hair. I keep my wigs on, but under it i'm taking care of my hair and it's been growing, and so i love actually. Okay. Let me stay focused, but salons like this inspire me inspire me to make sure we're catering and servicing our queens the way we should, because it's so necessary and um. I'M just super excited. Wait till y'all see what it looks like in here. It'S so refreshing, you don't know if you're walking into a spa or just a hair situation. Okay, that's how beautiful it is so we're going into the good hair bar and we've actually did something with um natural dishes before so that goes to show that i just love their products, what they stand for and they're thinking about our hair types and our community And so much more so let's go in. Look it's so pretty! Oh, my goodness, hey! How are you? How are you i can see you too? I love this skirt. Thank you. I was just telling them while i was walking in you. Don'T know if you're walking into a spa or a hair situation, yeah yeah, it's both it's both actually, okay, yeah cause. We do all the services we do, hair. We do nails, facials waxing lashes, massage, like all the things it's literally the world's first natural hair salon and spot. I love it yup, so i can come here and get my box down like yours. Absolutely absolutely get me out here because i want that in the fashion place we got you perfect. Can you walk us through it's beautiful? Thank you so much the waterfall talking everything's just gon na be beautiful. That'S the plan. What'S the plan yeah, we deserve elevated experiences. You know what i mean: we don't get that very often in our salons and our spas, and so it was like absolutely. Everything in here is super intentional. Okay, and just like you know it's like when you walk in like the water's running, you already get a serene or it sets the tone. It'S serene it's calming um, but that doesn't mean that we don't don't turn up a little bit. Oh, i believe you do. You know we turn up a little bit yeah. We have a dj here. That'S here on certain days live dj. We have food, there's things, you don't expected us a lot, and so does the food and all of the other services that you have to offer you like package deals. How does that work yeah, so um? We actually have our menus here and all of our stuff. All of our um yeah, all of our snacks, are created by um our celebrity chef, okay, chanel de watts, he's cooked for pretty much everybody you could think of, and so these are snacks right, so we're not serving chicken dinners, so uh janae. Lady excuse me, lady jay, are you responsible for this beautiful it's gorgeous? Thank you. Would you like one? Okay, all right? Absolutely it's so beautiful! Okay, you were telling us about your show. What are you doing yeah so we have um. So we have chef chef, creative snacks here, so we have our cool ranch, cucumber crisps, okay, coconut and honey, magic energy, bites sweet thing, deluxe, snack mix, which is my favorite. Oh my gosh, it's so good and our hibiscus lemonade tea, which is like heaven. I don't have anything: okay, we'll have some on our opening. Yes, okay, yeah, and when do you open, we open august 27th also 27th. This is one location that was the other location. This is so the other location is our warehouse where we manufacture our products. You did you did yeah yeah, so our naturalist products, we manufacture those in-house okay right here in michigan um, and so this salon is technically good hair of our bi natural issues. This is a natural, delicious salon, so we only use natural delicious products. We only sell natural juice products and we just found that you know i'm a big believer in innovation. You know the beauty industry is just very same, you know and it's a lot of the same thing: repackaging a different label or a different color or a different fragrance, but it's not a whole lot of differentiation in the beauty industry, and so that was really grabs. My gears um that there's not much there's not much that's different yeah and when it comes to the hair salon experience, our experience has been the same for the past 75 years and in fact it's gotten worse, you know. So if you, google, you know black hair salon experiences you'll be inundated with hundreds of thousands of videos of people complaining about the same things. The fact that your your appointments at 10 o'clock - and you don't get into churchill too you're there all day long. The fact that you know sometimes the customer services is very, very substandard to all the things, and the funny thing is that we can all share the same experience. Everyone has had a horror story of a salon, and so it's like, why is that nothing changed like we can solve all those problems and we can train our stylists in the natural issues and good habits so that no matter who you see you're not tied to That one person, if your sound's, not a town, our next house, that's available gotcha, you don't have to wait. You'Re not stuck you know, and so these are all things that our counterparts are able to experience, but we haven't, and so it's like yeah. So when you walk in it's like we want to be what's said before the beautiful environment, the water's running it gets demanded. This is but y'all are close to me. So this is it's not too far from almost anywhere. You know, but let's eliminate this dress. For us, let's just create a space where you can come and we'll take care of all of it. Um most lines have between. You know three to maybe eight on the highest sizes: um okay, so you can actually book this room for girls night out and we'll play the movie which tv will be right here, we'll play the movie we'll provide you with the popcorn, the snacks. You get your band-aid manicures, pepperoni, okay, i love it. Oh it's so good! So so good! I love the cheers too y'all stuck to the delicious color. Yes, because that's something that we always say to our clients and we want them to understand that they are. You know a lot of times. We feel like our beauty, isn't enough for like we're not worthy or like. Oh, i can only find the right product, so i can only do something with my hair, like you are the standard we're just here to enhance what you have we're not going to mask you, we're going to enhance what you have and make you shine brighter and So this is a little affirmation that you have to type in like to type it in to use the white line. So it's like. Yes, i understand the reviews. I love that, whose idea was that that's mine? I love it and it's funny because whenever somebody they're like oh that's a long one but honey, you know it when you say it one time right, one time i love it. I am the standard of you yeah. I remember that yeah and all the ladies were on the walls are women who were serviced right here in the salon and their hair was down here. So these are like not models, because these are normal everyday customers. So it's like your hair can look like this too, like this is a no heat um. You know, that's not a curling wand, there's no heat and it's like you can look. You can have your hair look gorgeous. You can feel as gorgeous whatever the brain says. Um off of everything else, so it's we find like a lot of clients that they want to be in the mess, but they don't want to be in the middle. They want to be separated. So we created this semi-private area because nothing happens over here, except people going into the spy area. So if you just want a little private time, you want to turn up a little bit a little drink drink. I love it over here i love it. This is super amazing, thank you and then this is the spot. Okay, this is my area, so here we have our. I can't wait. This is nice, yes, lashes, massages and i'm sorry waxing lashes makeup and facials beautiful in this room. Okay, use all the things and then our last room over here is another association room, love that that one that one right there i like all of them, but this one here and this yes, oh my goodness, i'm excited to be here: um, the name good hair Bar is super intentional, too right, so it's like when you hear your hair as a black woman. You know what that means right and so for so many of us that goes along with um. So many of us feel like our hair is not good enough. You know and there's this colloquialism of good hair and it can be negative or positive depending on who you are and what your hair looks like and we're here to say. Everybody'S hair is good. It doesn't matter what it comes out like it could be the kinkiest. The pink this can be the curliest curls, regardless everybody has good hair, it just needs to be healthy and cared for, and we are here to give you that healthy care for hair, so that you know that your hair is good regardless amazing. I love what y'all stand for it's so empowering um. I was eating a way of ministry too without your serving us, and you know just empowering us by spirit, because i believe the hair is attached to the spirit. Obviously so i think being and having selective choices with where you will have people laying your hands for you, i'm really excited about it, hey y'all, so that is a wrap on the good hair bar.
