Hello, beautiful people welcome or welcome back to my youtube channel, i'm michelle jama - and here we cover all things: hair, skin care law and living your best life. So today we are going to be talking about all things: hair growth, specifically three essential oils that are scientifically proven to promote hair growth. So if you're interested in learning more about what essential oils i'm talking about and how to use them keep watching. But first, if you like this video, please give it a thumbs up and also do not forget to subscribe and hit that notification bell. So you never miss a video all right all right before i jump into talking about these hair oils. I kind of want to address the elephant in the room, which was that in a few of my past videos i had mentioned how peppermint oil was the only essential oil that was clinically proven to promote hair growth. Obviously i was wrong about that. You guys called me out on that, and i thank you guys so much for that, because it sparked this need to do a lot more research, and i did - and i found more information about other essential oils that have been clinically proven to promote hair growth and So i want to share that with you, which is why i'm creating this video all right. Let'S talk about lavender oil. A 2016 study showed that lavender oil applied to mice made their hair grow faster and thicker than normal. Lavender oil helps promote hair growth. It helps increase the thickness of your hair and it has antimicrobial properties which helps prevent fungus and bacteria from growing on your scalp, the other benefit of lavender oil is it has a calm and soothing scent. The best way to use lavender oil is to add two to three drops to one tablespoon of your favorite carrier oil and to apply that directly to your scalp and to give yourself a massage for about 10 minutes. You can also add a few drops of lavender oil to your favorite, shampoo, conditioner and other hair treatments. Let'S talk about rosemary oil. A 2015 study showed that people with dht related hair loss saw significant hair growth after using rosemary oil for six months, rosemary oil promotes blood circulation to the scalp. It inhibits dht, which causes hair loss and balding, and it has anti-inflammatory properties which basically helps keep scalp issues away. The best way to use rosemary oil is to add two to three drops to one tablespoon of your favorite carrier oil and to massage it into your scalp. You can also make your own diy rosemary oil by infusing, rosemary into your favorite oils. I have a tutorial on the oil that i make at home, definitely check it out if you're interested. Alright, let's talk about peppermint oil. A 2014 study showed that peppermint oil applied to mice make their hair grow faster and thicker and increase blood flow to malnourished follicles peppermint oil promotes growth by increasing blood flow circulation to your scalp. It also has anti-inflammatory properties and it helps treat scalp issues like dryness. Itchiness and dandruff the best way to use peppermint oil is to add two to three drops into one tablespoon of your favorite carrier oil and to massage it into your scalp. You can also apply drops to your favorite, shampoo, conditioners and hair treatments so that you can stimulate blood circulation. While you treat and cleanse your hair, please do not apply these essential oils directly to your scalp. You do need to dilute them before massaging them into your scalp, otherwise you will irritate your skin. In addition to that, you want to make sure that you're not over using these products, because they are super potent and, like i said before, they may irritate your scalp and actually cause an adverse effect, so pay attention to how your skin reacts to these essential oils. When you add them to your products, so those are the three essential oils that i wanted to cover. Please let me know if you've tried any of the essential oils down below i'm also curious. What other essential oils do you know, promote hair growth and how do you use them? Alright, thank you guys. So much for watching i'll see you guys in the next one deuces

Bobby Lee: Love all three oils! Putting peppermint oil in your body wash is perfect for the summer cause it gives you a cooling sensation. Just don’t rub near your eyes.

Marilyn Martin: Thank you for this video. I used Rosemary oil with Jamaican black castor oil to grow my edges. After about 3 weeks of applying and massaging the areas, my edges are back and strong.

Trendy Health: *Almond oil* _is an excellent product if you're looking for one that can strengthen and moisturize your tresses._ Almonds are _packed with vitamins E, proteins, and antioxidants which make them a great option to combat dryness or damage in the hair as well as promote growth._ With almond oil's magnesium content it also _helps reduce breakage of the strands!_

coolbee: I also add lemon grass oil to my regimen. My hair grew back so fast. I suffered from thinning hair and scalp fungus. I was super impressed by the way my hair is growing back.

Gee Row R.: Also Ylang Ylang is specifically for hair growth. I use that a lot in my diy products. Lemongrass as well. When I make my triple whipped mango butter, I use a few drops of both. The fragrance is so soothing.

Dwaine Beckford: My top 5 essential oils for my hair and beard are: Peppermint oil. Rosemary oil. Thyme oil. Tea Tree oil. Lavender oil.

Ikandi Bae: I have tried all 3 of them over the years. I love peppermint oil. Rosemary is very beneficial for growth and fungus treatment. Lavender I used minimally. Yea tree is another good one for anyone with scalp issues such as myself. I recommend using it 2-3 times weekly at night time before bed. Make sure you wrap you hair after massages it into you scalp. Good luck everyone . Feel free to ask more questions I have answers

Lilly-May Rose: Clove & eucalypus oil, are both good hair stimulators but my favourites are peppermint & rosemary with black castor oil as a carrier which has helped my thinning edges greatly.

Rhonda Love: Was using a mix of Vit E + peppermint oils. Will try some of the other oils mentioned here. Great video and VERY helpful 'Comment' section. Thanks y'all

jasmine zetino: Great video. I like the scientific mice facts. I personally like mixing Jamaican Castro oil with coconut oil. lazaro: What has helped me with male pattern baldness is Sulfur 8 Lite warmed up and I add peppermint, rosemary, eucalyptus, tea tree and basil oils to the warmed up sulfur 8 lite grease, I mix with a plastic knife and then let it cool. It gets back to being a solid like paste. 3 times a week I apply this to my crown and temples. I also take MSM and Biotin daily. My bald spot is completely covered over with about an inch of hair, it took 5 months to get hair. I went 3 yrs with a bald crown and male pattern baldness. I found out about sulfur 8, msm, Biotin, and oils on YouTube. I'm happy I have hair all over my head now

So wondering if I should try this combo again or just stick to one? I have androgenic alopecia. I know you said you’re not a doc but just wondering if you (or anyone reading this!) found any info about combining the oils in your research

Bridgett Scarborough: I have been using coconut oil mixed with essential oils such as peppermint , eucalyptus and lavender for years. I usually leave this homemade product in my hair after application. However, lately, I have been reading so many articles that state when treating your hair with essential oils you must leave it in for a few minutes and then rinse or shampoo. I never rinsed my essential oils out of my hair. What are your thoughts? I noticed you did not mention rinsing.
