Yo guys, how are you doing so, as a lot of you guys know, I'm very close to cutting my hair and I thought I'd make one last hair care video for you guys, because I don't think I've actually made one in a very long time where I'm Talking about her this long, especially referring to Wavy, slash curly hair, I've learned a lot. Whilst I had hair this length and I'm gon na share my tips and tricks with you guys. My hair, as you can see, is quite wavy. I'D say more wavy than curly, especially when I air dry it which, right now it is air dried, we're going to get into drying it later. But in the meantime, I'm going to start by saying something you should never do with curly slash, wavy hair and that's brushing it. I know it sounds like quite a weird thing to say, because anyone with long hair has probably owns a hairbrush and they brush through it all the time. But if you have curly or wavy hair brushing your hair is not only going to ruin your curls. This is going to make your hair turn into a frizzy mess, not only that, but it breaks so so much hair when you are tugging at it with a brush that you're going to end up losing a lot of hair, and even though I know we can All hack it it is painful, so if we can avoid brushing our hair, we might as well. So let's start with the first step, washing your hair. How many times should I wash my hair weekly is the dumbest question. I'Ve ever had like on a reel. Why? Why does it have to be like a specific set amount of times that you wash your hair weekly five times a week two times a week? No, that's not how you should look at it wash your hair when it needs to be washed. This highly depends on how much oil your scalp produces also depends on your activity levels like how much do you exercise these things are very individual right, so wash your hair when it needs to be washed When it's really greasy, especially at the scalp. That'S when you need to wash your hair like I go to the gym six times a week right. I end up washing my hair two or three times a week, because, honestly, my scalp isn't that greasy and I've noticed that's what worked best for my hair. If I wash it any more than that, it ends up being very dry and Frizzy, and if I watch it less than that, then it does start becoming greasy. You got ta check for yourself. Look at your scalp use a little bit of intuition. That'S how many times you should wash your hair weekly for people with curly, slash, wavy hair, it's probably very common for you to feel a lot of loose hair, get stuck within your cars and waves and you'll you might be tempted to get it out of a Brush yet again, I've already told you, I would not recommend brushing your hair. I would recommend doing it in the shower. This is what's worked best for me, even though wet hair is more fragile. What you want to do is wet your hair, shampoo, the scalp area, mainly the scalp area, and wash that off right, simple with your preferred shampoo and then with the conditioner you'll want to do it mainly the ends, and this is where I personally use my fingers To pull out all of the loose hairs, because the conditioner makes it very soft and smooth, it should be very natural. There shouldn't be much tugging and if there is any tugging, it's likely to be some knots where you can just like try and break apart the knot and pull out the hair that's loose. I lose a lot of hair in the shower and you guys probably will too. If you have had this length, let me show you an example of how much hair I lose in the shower every single time I wash my hair, so this amount is a very common amount of hair for me to lose in the shower every single time that I wash my hair. Look, it's quite a decent amount right. Obviously it looks like more than it actually is because of how long my hair is, but you're gon na have to keep that in mind, because at first it might feel like you're balding. You might be balding, but I don't know this to me feels pretty consistent and I don't feel like I look like I'm balding right, maybe I'm wrong, but my hair feels pretty full. So I would not be too concerned if this is the amount you're losing. But this is how much I pull out by finger combing through with my conditioner um and leaving my conditioner in for roughly 10 minutes. It depends on the conditioner, but I tend to leave it in for about 10 minutes, in which time I finger comb. All this hair out, I wash my body, maybe brush my teeth. If I'm going to bed, I don't know just whatever you got to do, leave it for 10 minutes and then it's going to be nice and soft when you wash it out properly now. The other thing about long, wavy and curly hair is you need to keep it hydrated, otherwise, those cars, those really nice cars, end up turning into frizz when I'm drying my hair with a hairdryer, which I would definitely recommend if you want your cars to be more Pronounced than what mine are right now, because I air dried, my hair, I always use hydrating, hair oils and hair creams. This video is not sponsored, but my personal favorites are the Blue Man Cloud control oil. I really like the fifth sample styling mask Pomade by Blue Man as well, this one's more more like a mask, so it makes my hair feel a bit more conditioned after I wash it out eventually. It also gives me, like a nice natural shine. This olaplex number six Bond smoother is my personal favorite cream. For my hair, it just makes such a huge difference to how healthy my hair looks. The curls are so much more pronounced gives it. This natural shine completely gets rid of all the frizz. I love this product. I just wish it came in bigger packages because I go through these like crazy yeah, so the hydrating type products creams oils they're the best for curls and waves, because otherwise you turn into freeze here's a little clip of what my hair looks. Like after I have blow dried it with the products in and as you can see, it's much healthier much shinier because I'm much more pronounced and it stays like that, it makes a huge difference. Now, what actual blow drying technique do? I use stay away from no nozzle, because it creates frizz stay away from directional nozzles, because yet again you have curly hair. So there's not any reason to try and make it straight. It will just ruin the curls. I would personally always stick with a diffuser. This thing is amazing: if you diffuse your hair, your curls will just yet again be even more pronounced and uh yeah stick with using this pretty much every time you blow dry it when drying your hair with a diffuser. Try not to over dry it. I always dry it to like 90, because anything past that ends up starting to become frizzy again because the moisture disappears. But if you don't feel like blow drying it, I wouldn't do anything at all. To be honest, maybe if you have quite dry hair, I'd recommend using a bit more oil, but I tend to use nothing at all and just air dry it and then it ends up looking kind of like this. So that's pretty much all my tips on taking care of long wavy slash, curly hair. I hope this was helpful to you guys. A lot of you guys have asked me how I take care of my hair. I think it makes all the difference. It'S really not too complicated, it's just time consuming. Hopefully this was helpful thanks for watching and peace.
