What'S up sisters welcome back to my channel today i'll be sharing my wash day routine as well as my detangling process stay tuned, okay. So to start out, if you're ever wondering, what's my hair type, i am type four um. If i had to plug an alphabet at the end of it, it'll be b for b, mainly with a dash of a and a dash of c. My hair isn't as thick as it looks. I would say i have medium density hair and that my hair is high porosity. It does absorb moisture well, but it does release it just as fast. So if your hair is a lot like mine, stay tuned i'll share with you, the natural hair care products i go to and the ingredients i look for now. Since i've been natural, which is about 13 years, there have been a wave of natural hair care brands that has popped up over the years, giving us all a great variety to choose from, and i do like to mix my brands. It'S just. They all have something that i really like in them. Okay, so now for my wash day routine, i try to wash my hair every two weeks in deep condition, every two weeks, which is hard because i am a mother of three little ones. So i barely have time for myself, but it is important to cleanse your hair and scalp at least every two weeks. Okay, to start my routine, i like to start with soaking wet hair in the shower, and for my shampoo, i'm using the melanin hair care african black soap, reviving shampoo. It has great ingredients in it, such as tea tree oil, which is overall great for your scalp and also peppermint oil, which potentially improve hair growth and prevent some hair loss, which works great for me, because i did just have three babies back to back and had A lot of postpartum shedding, so this helped a lot. The great thing is that the peppermint in tea tree oil is not overwhelming. I apply this product directly to my scalp and let the such run through my strands and i massage my scalp helping with circulation and then rinse it out for my conditioner. I use the tga and triple moisture replenishing conditioner, which has great ingredients such as green tea, argan oil and honey. Green tea is great to prevent hair loss. Honey is in an amoiling and humison which helps smooth follicles and at shine, which is great for high porosity, hair and argan oil helps reduce breakage. I always detangle my hair with conditioner and water in it. I have like a three-step process where i detangle. First, with my fingers will not detangle, but i kind of just run my fingers through the root to make sure there's not any big, tangles or knots in my hair, and then i go in with a shower comb and detangling brush afterwards. I start with the wide tooth shower comb, which i believe is the annie brand, which you can find at the beauty supply store. I comb and detangle the short strands, which is like the back and the sides and they're easy to comb through, usually don't have any problem detangling those then with the detangling brush. I go to the top, which are my longer hair strands in sections and detangle from into root, making sure that i'm not snagging my hair and making sure i can get the brush all the way through by the end of it. This brush has made detangling a lot quicker and easier for me. I will try to find it online and put a link to it, but it doesn't have a brand on it. I'M not sure if this was a pr gift or what, but i will try to find something similar and link it in description box. I forgot to mention, but the conditioner has great slip. I really love how moisturized my hair feels with the product in and it also aids in detangling, my hair. Now, since i have medium to high porosity hair, i start to rinse my hair with cooler water to help lay my hair cuticles down to help prevent moisture loss. Thankfully, my postpartum shedding has ended, but since i only detangle every two weeks shedding is going to occur, which is absolutely normal. Now for my deep conditioner, i'm using camille rose algae, renew deep conditioning mask one of my favorite. I love how soft it leaves my hair. It has great ingredients such as aloe vera, which is great for concealing, cuticles and laying them down and coconut oil, which is great for moisturizing. It also has honey, which i already told you is great for high porosity hair. It also has green tea, which helps prevent hair loss and it has peppermint oil, so it will tingle your scalp a little bit, but it's not overbearing. I apply this to my edges first and then work my way inward. I do not detangle the deep conditioner through my hair or anything like that. I just rub it through with my fingers and little sections here and there, but with my hair being short, it's not necessarily required, but just to make sure i get every strand covered. I do section off some of the lawn care i put on a regular shower cap and then, on top of that, i go and place a deep conditioning cap on, i put a link in the description box. If i can find this one, i think it was a pr gift as well a long time ago, but you can heat this deep conditioning cap in the microwave. So you can get a better treatment to your hair and then i let the deep conditioner stay on for about 20 minutes and then rinse with cool water in the shower. The goal with high porosity hair is to get the cuticles your hair cuticles, to lay down more and lock in the moisture, so it doesn't air out. There'S no problem with getting moisture in it's. The problem of keeping it in so rinsing with cool water is beneficial, and on that note i know y'all see me use this product a lot in my hair, styling videos, the main choice, hair type, 4, leaf clover, leave-in spray, it's a great sealant because it has Aloe vera in it, which is great for laying the cuticles down and preventing moisture loss and also has flax, seed oil, which helps with luster and shine and prevent hair loss. I love how this product leaves my hair, so soft. It complements my styling products. If you haven't tried the main choice: leave-ins you need to because they work really great for type 4 hair. Now i'm not going to go into detail on how i style my hair in the styling products i use, because i'm always mentioning them in my other videos. So you can check those out i'll, also be doing an updated video on my taper cut and how i'm styling it. Currently. I hope you enjoyed this tutorial or this routine. Actually, i don't think i've ever posted one yet, but thanks for watching peace out sisters, you
