What'S going on guy, so today i'm going to touch on another topic that you guys ask me a lot and that topic is how do i get my hair so curly? So the number one reason for my curl pattern is genetics. My hair is naturally curly kinky course. Wavy do not expect your hair to curl, like mine and your hair, to look like mine. If I use a certain product and that product comes out, a type of way on my hair doesn't mean that you're going to get the same results. Your natural hair texture, when you add a curl enhancing product the product, is going to enhance the curl pattern that you already have. That product is not going to give you a curl pattern that you don't have and that product is not to give you my curl pattern. So remember that it if you want to spend money on curl enhancing products, just remember curl enhancing products is going to enhance the curl pattern. On that you already have. I don't think that there is anyone out there with the exact hair, with exact hair, texture and exact hair. You and your sister can have completely different textures, stop being obsessed with curl pattern and having curly hair, and I know the image in the natural hair community. Now is that you have to have really really curly hair for your hair to be very pretty and accepted, and I'll also like to say it's not a compliment when you guys tell me that you wish you had my hair, especially if it is coming from a Place of you not accepting or being ashamed of your hair texture, but let's clear this real quick, because your hair, doesn'tcurl or because your hair doesn't curl like mine or doesn't curl like other people here on youtube, doesn't mean that your hair - it's not beautiful and doesn't Mean that your hair is not pretty. I don't think, there's correct me if i'm wrong, but i don't think there's such a thing as Curl training cause. I remember speaking to this girl and she asked me: how did I get my hair, so curly and then she went on to see that she puts a lot of gel in her hair and flat irons, her hair a lot so that her hair can be curly And so that she can curl train her hair. First of all, if you keep putting that flat iron in your hair, what is a curl there's a thing called curl manipulation where you can play with your curls and do certain things with in and add certain product products in your hair to enhance your curls and Different styles can give you different curls. I can do a twist out and a braidout old and my curls can look completely different, so you can manipulate your hair to get different curls. So my hair right now is a wash and go where I added a curl. Enhancing product, so i'm going to put a clip here to show you what my hair looks like before I put a curl enhancing product in it and after this is my hair without any product on it, and this is my hair with the curl enhancing product in It my hair wasn't as curly as it is now. You can even ask some of my friends cause. My friends saw my hair change. Oh my gosh, like what are you doing to your hair and I'm like? I guess I started taking care of it. I stressed another important thing: if you really want your curls to pop, you have to take really good care of your hair, and your hair has to be healthy. Straggly ends are not healthy. You cannot normally use heat in your hair and expect for your curls to be popping. You either have to keep using the flat iron because you like your hair straight and it's going to only look good straight or stop using the flat iron and nurture back your texture and nurture back your hair to make it look as healthy as it can. So. A way that you can nurture your hair and make it really healthy is to deep condition your hair, deep condition, your hair. Every time you wash your hair and also keep your ends, trimmed and stay away from the heat. Unless that's what you're going for and, as I said, don't expect to be using a lot of heat and expect your curls to be popping. Ok, I think I touched on everything i wanted to touch on with this topic. Thank you guys for watching

Anastasia Hennessy: Step one: be born with natural curly hair Step two: don’t ruin ur hair ITS BEAUTIFUL

Vanessa J.: Thank you sista! My hair is very curly and coily. After having locs for 22 years, I now keep my hair very short because I get tired of the questions about how I get my hair curly. I don't do anything, its just my curl pattern. People have no idea that when I run a comb through my curls I'll end up with a poofy afro just like most kinky haired people. Curls can be deceptive. Curly hair shouldn't be the goal. Healthy hair is the real goal.

kittydreamz86: I've definitely noticed that my hair changed- looked more curly when I did a couple of things. 1. I stopped using heat on it. Flat ironing broke down my curl pattern the most, but even blow drying. Once I started air drying my hair it was able to show it's real pattern. 2. I started drinking more water and really moisturizing my hair. Until I started to get serious about natural hair, I'd only ever put maybe hair grease or (rarely) olive oil in my hair. The world of leave-in conditioners changed everything for me. 3. Regular trims. Taking care of split ends and fairy knots actually let my hair sit more smoothly and without frizz. 4. I stopped combing my hair. I haven't put a comb through my hair (except to make a part) in Years. I detangle with a detangling or denman brush, and only when my hair is wet. Once I stopped disrupting my curl pattern it was easy to see that I actually have one. Finding the right curl defining products helps a lot too- but even just putting my head in the shower and walking out the door I have curls I'd never had before.

Janice De La Cruz: Your hair is beautiful and thanks for keeping it real. For all the naysayers and haters I'm natural and have 4c hair. What she says is true. If you have 4c hair which is not what you see on YouTube most of time your hair will not curl like this no matter what you put on it. If you wash it and go you will have an Afro not spiral curls and if you do get spirals they are going to be teeny tiny and still look like an Afro! I know how you feel because you don't see many Afros on social media. Afros don't get likes but 4c hair will grow to your toes if you let it and you can have the most beautiful blowout, curls, twists and any other style you can think of. Let go of the wash and go and embrace your fro! If you desire this look order a weave and have it sewn in. They have tons that look just like this because this curl pattern has become acceptable by the mainstream bet you won't find an Afro sew in anywhere.

Samantha Ivy: Your video is so true. I have 2c-3c natural hair and people ALWAYS ask me what I use. I tell them some of the same things you said. I told them that things that are on the market will only enhance their natural curl patterns. I also think all hair types and textures is beautiful. I'm so happy that I am natural now. Have been completely natural for over a year, and natural for 2.5 years. My stylist trimmed out all of my relaxed hair. Your hair is pretty. Thanks for your video.

54SHEIJUDAH's point of view: You are right we shouldn't be obsessed with curl patterns...Our people are obsessed with hair period...if you can grow hair don't wear weave....loving yourself is a commandment..so Do it!

jnefitema yep: "You want ur hair to be healty". that was too cute. Love ur hair pattern and your skin is flawless from what I can see girl. I don't understand the dislikes though. Wait, yes I do. Those were the haters and it's sad because all black women's natural hair textures are beautiful. We shouldn't have no room for hating each other over dumb shit. We are already hated by so many others outside of our race because of our very blessed existence.

nrsimmons178: My hair is a range of 3C-4C...I think. Honestly, it's a bit crazy trying to figure my curl pattern! With a possible 4 different hair textures, plus a 16-month transition from relaxed to natural, I was so glad to find your channel! Your hair looks like mine (minus the relaxed ends), so you've helped make it much easier to care for my hair. I wanted to do my big chop on my 2 yr. mark in April, but I may not make it that far! October will be 18 mos. of transitioning, and will at least give me a decent ponytail before I cut it. Whatever I decide to do, thanks for all the info you put out for us ladies to keep our hair healthy and beautiful! <3 :)

Cassie Best Ever!: thank you for this. a lot of people think a product will make your hair curly. nothing will make your head curly unless it grows out of your head that way. I too have natural curly hair like yours but mine is a lot shorter and people ask me all the time what I put in my hair to "make it curly" it just grows this way. no products will give you the same curl as someone else. A braid out on me will look different than a braid out on someone with 4c hair

TheLifemission: All of the natural black women have some form of curly hair so when they ask me "how do I get my hair curly" I'm just like.......you have type 4 hair....it's already curly. Type 4 hair has curls they are just really small and I don't think all type 4 hair is meant to be defined. If your hair wasn't curly it would be straight ladies.

Jazmin Jordan: Keyword ENHANCE! My hair is 3c with high density and fine to medium strands. Heat training is heat damage, period. Great advice!

jordan nicole yoga: Your hair looks EXACTLYYY like mine. Please make a video on maintaining / refreshing your curls during the week

GTPrincess123: between your hair and complexion, my eyes are struggling to admire the beauty of both at the same time... they are both crazy freaking beautiful

Marleen G.: I have naturally 2b/c hair. Recently I discovered the Shea Moisture curl enhancing smoothie. When I add gel + serum, it makes my hair 2c/3a - it is an amazing product!

ShaunieBNaturalista: When I first BCd, my hair would be a puff ball when I stepped out of the shower. Now, after 20 months of care, when I get out of the shower the back is VERY curly (4a) and the top/sides will curl with gel (3C curl with course hair). It has developed a "sense memory" that it is curly hair. This may be what she meant by "curl training." I feel that I trained my curls too.

Reyaunna Williams: My hair texture is nappy lol But I've never been so happy

AprilFrostt: Yes it irritates me so much when someone ask how I got my hair curly.... It's my natural hair. People act like all black people should only have one type of hair, the stereotypical "nappy" hair. Get educated please.

DiscoveringNatural: Awesome information. This will really educate a lot of people. Thanks for the information.

DeeMac: Thanks for being truthful and not deceiving the public to think that everyone can have the same curly outcome if they use the same product as you do. The answer is moisturize and condition on a consistent basis.

AndreaOnNeptune: Everyone forgets that the only way to achieve healthy hair is to be healthy yourself. What you put in your body matters a lot more than what you coat on already dead hair. It makes a huge difference, trust me.

Quanita Davis: First I love your hair major hair goals (the length). My hair is 4a in the front, 4c in the middle, and 4b in the back. The shrinkage is the worst part. I love my big kinky fro

Tracey Anne: love how honest you are. preach girl!

roidy: After the Lord, there is nothing more beautiful than the black woman The Lord gave too much beauty to the black woman

MissJayDeeMoni: That heat/curl training spill gets on my very last nerve. It's just another fancy word for heat damage. Curls all stringy and limp....smh But my hair is a mixture of textures from 4a-c. Also, I noticed the longer my hair has gotten the more "defined" they've become but honestly, it's moreso gravity and density playing into my curls being more stretched.

Jazzmine Jones: My hair is super curl and I love it. I just found your video, can’t wait to check out your hair growth routine. I’m waiting to see if my hair will grow longer (if it’s within in gods will and my genetics.)

nicthommi: We are really clueless about the variation in our hair types and yeah, no one without curls can have curls. You are very pretty.

francis legault: Great advice the product its to enhance your curl not to create a type of hair you dont have . Continu the good work girl :)

Heidi Roberts: Amen. If one more female asks me what I do to make my hair curly I'll scream..someone recently asked me what put in my hair to make it curl. Then said it looked like I put something in it..smh.

Mariana Fernando: Yeah lately my friends come up to me and say "wow what have you done with your hair it looks so different, like its so much more defined" but I have only been adding olive and coconut oil to my hair routine

NuSeason4me: What curl enhancing product did you use?

Glimmer Simmer: My hair is so confusing. I have 4b/c type hair and my hair does not have coils. When I wash my hair it gets curly and when it dries it goes back into its natural Afro state.

Kayla’s Koils: It's funny when people are surprised when you say nothing can make your hair curly if it isn't already. A girl asked me that at work one day and I told her that and she just didn't want to believe it. I had to google a hair chart and show her that some people have naturally straight hair. All people don't have curly or kinky hair

Moebetter Sweety: I have a fine curly texture. But it was not as curly in the beginning. As I learned to take care of my hair and reached maximum hydration my texture became curvier and required less products. I understand what you mean about the complement thing. Most don't believe you when you explain it anyway

Kayla W: I have 3c hair and OMG people are ALWAYS asking me that it's so annoying like everyone's pattern is different no matter how many products you want to put in it you can't make it identical to someone else's...I have a little 2year old sister with and a lady with straight hair came up and said "Is it hard to get her hair like that?" and I was like no it's curly by itself literally the only thing I use in her hair right now is coconut oil because it's so soft and light it doesn't need alot of product and anyway the lady looked with a frown and was like "oh" and walked away. it's just sad. but anyway great video girl

Matilda Archie: Your hair is so pretty and thick and long and healthy

Natea Williams: Thank you so much. Love your videos!

JeanGrey: Love your choice ancestors. Thank you for info.

Xiao Sims: This is off topic but! Your beautiful don't change a thing about you ❤️

Jaye Andre: How do you get your hair curly has to be the dumbest question ever. When they ask me that, I say " Water."

Rarity381: I used to be like 3a 3b 3c..After 3 years of being natural..My hair has changed so much and its 3c in the top and the sides and in the back it 4a. I hate when people ask how do i make my hair curly? Ummmm....it grows out of my scalp like this..

Ciara_Sha'Ron: I have different curl patterns. I have really tight curls in the back 4a. In the middle it's a mix of tight curls and tight waves with lots of frizz 4a/4b?. In the front is looser waves with hardly any frizz and fine strands 3c. I also have medium density and fine to medium strands and high porosity.
