Hey guys welcome back to my channel if you are new, my name is leah toshia welcome and in today's video i'm going to be doing my august favorites. I don't think i've ever done a favorites video on my channel before i'm pretty sure i haven't. I don't know, i didn't really think i would ever make this a series on my channel. Okay, so first i'm gon na start with two things that i don't have here with me, because it's food related items, so the first thing is going to be hello, fresh and no. This is not sponsored by hellofresh. I am nobody. Okay, nobody is sponsoring this video. I just recently discovered hellofresh, not just discovered it. I knew about hellofresh who doesn't know about hellofresh, but this is the first time that i've tried it this month. I think we've gotten like four or five shipments worth of food. So far, every single meal - you guys every single meal, has been fired. I personally hate going to the grocery store, so with hellofresh everything is measured out for you already everything gets sent to you in like such an organized manner. It'S amazing and then the only thing you have to do is cut things up and then cook it. Every recipe is five to six steps. Super easy super quick. They take 15 to 30 minutes to cook, depending on what the recipe is, but they are all so freaking good you guys. So you can go on the app and pick which meals you want and then you can skip weeks. So if you just don't want to pay for it that week or you decided to cook something from the store that week, if you're going out of town, you can just skip a week and then it won't charge you for it and then it won't arrive. So it's just super easy super convenient all around. I don't think i'll ever go back to not having hello fresh, it's amazing and then the second food related thing is a brand from whole foods that i recently tried called kite hill. I don't know how popular that brand is i'm new to it. I had never heard of it before i am dairy free. I am not vegan by any means, but i'm dairy free, you miss cheese. You miss creamy sauces. You miss all of the like good, delicious things, so i was at whole foods one day and i came across this brand called kite hill, specifically because i saw that they had these tortellini's and i love tortellini. You guys i freaking love tortellini and i can't ever have it so i saw that they had a dairy-free, ravioli and tortellini, so i got them both and tried them. You guys they are so freaking good and i think they are really popular because then i ate those ones and then the next week, when i went back to get more, they were all sold out. Everything that was kite hill was sold out. So people must know about it and love it too, because it was gone girl, okay, so first, i'm gon na do some hair care products. So the first thing is the vanilla, no yellow shampoo. I used to use the vanilla, blue shampoo, but now that my hair is a lot lighter, i did switch over to the yellow shampoo and i did love the blue shampoo. It worked really really well. So if you have like brown, hair or darker hair, that's grassy and orange that one will really really help you out, but now i use the yellow one, and i love this one more than the blue one just because it smells so good. I don't know why. Two shampoos just different colors of the same brand. Don'T both have a scent because the blue one does not have a scent, but this one smells so so good, it's kind of floral. I would call it floral. I think that's the right word that i'm looking for it also works really really well, i mean a little too well because, as you can see, my hair is like gray purple, but that's only because i left this on for like an hour, because your girl got Distracted but it obviously works and it definitely cancels out any yellow tones in your hair. So if you're looking for that check out the fanola, no yellow, shampoo and then the next hair product is the brio gio scalp revival charcoal plus peppermint oil, cooling, jelly conditioner. They really should make names a lot shorter than that. I love this product. I am doing a review right now using all of their hair products, but i did want to mention this product in this video because i'm really really loving it. So this brand in general is just really good because it is more natural, it doesn't have any sulfate, silicones or parabens, and then it is a black owned company. So we love that this particular product is just so interesting. It is cooling on your scalp and then it is like a jelly consistency. It'S so interesting, but i really really like it, and i've noticed personally whenever i have like a dry itchy scalp or it's kind of flaking a little bit. This helps so so much and most of you guys probably know that you don't typically put conditioner on your scalp, but this one in particular, is for your scalp, and i personally have found that it has really really helped the health of my scalp, and it feels Just so cooling and amazing, when you're in a hot ass, shower okay and then moving into skincare products. Few things the first one i'm going to talk about. I have talked about this on my instagram stories before, but it's the murad acne control clarifying cleanser. It has salicylic acid in it. I really really like it and it really works. Well, it kind of has a cooling sensation on your face, the same way that the conditioner has on your scalp. It feels really really nice like it's opening up your pores and then it is a clarifying cleanser with salicylic. So it does help clear up any breakouts that you're having it can be a tad bit drying if you use it every single day, but definitely if you're dealing with some problematic skin or your skin's acting up. I found that this face wash really helped and then the next brand i want to talk about is curology and again. No, this video is not sponsored but yeah just to eliminate any confusion. I don't use these at the same time the face wash. I just talked about and the curology products, but before i got the curology products, i was using this consistently and i really really liked it, so i still wanted to mention it. But right now i am using the curology little system. I'Ve only been using it for maybe two and a half weeks now, if you want a full, in-depth video on how my journey goes with this, i will be happy to do that. So if you're not familiar with curology, it is a online skincare brand that makes customized skincare for each person. You talk with a dermatologist online, you can submit pictures the whole thing and then they send you a customized formula for your skin problems specifically and then i also have two of their other products. So the products that i have are the cleanser and this isn't like a specialized cleanser just for me it is just a regular cleanser, but it works really really well, it's just simple: it's not going to do anything crazy to your skin. My skin really seems to like it so far, and then these are both creams. So the white bottle is the customized formula that they sent me and this you just put on every single night, and then this one is just a regular moisturizer that i use for the daytime. This is customized. For me, these are just two of their regular products, but i have found that using them as a system together, i really really like it and so far my skin really likes it, but again i'll keep you updated and then the next skincare product that i'm really Loving is this product right here it is sunscreen. If y'all know me, you know that i always preach sunscreen, so i found this brand. It'S called black girl sunscreen, and this is actually the kids one. They do have an adult one. The only difference that i found between the adult one, which was more expensive than this kids one - is that the kid one is waterproof and i was like: okay, waterproof is good. I mean i sweat like it's hot in texas, okay, so i just went ahead. Got this one because honestly it was cheaper and waterproof, so it is um spf 50 and then i really like it, because it does not leave a white cast on me and then it's not super oily. It does not make me break out or clog. My pores in any way, so i have been loving this and then the last skincare product i want to talk about, is actually this device right here. It'S by a brand called new skin. I don't know, but i have a feeling that new skin i am new to new skin. I haven't really heard of it, but this girl was nice enough to send me this device to try and i really freaking love it. But i don't know if nu skin is like a level marketing company multi-level marketing, you know like monet and like herbalife and stuff is herbalife even one. I have a feeling that this company is like that, but i'm not sure if it is. I am not part of it in that way. I don't sell these. I don't none of that, but she sent it to me to use and i honestly really really really really love it. I have found that it makes the biggest difference in my skin. I don't exfoliate anymore because of this, and that's huge, because if y'all know me, y'all know that i freaking love my physical exfoliants, which i know is you know people don't like physical exfoliants. It can be too abrasive blah blah blah, but i personally always loved using physical exfoliants, but ever since i've started using this - and i've probably been using this for like three weeks now, i have not exfoliated with an exfoliator, not once who am i, who is she With this device, i'm a whole new girl, i'm a whole new woman, but i freaking love it. I only use it at night, and this is just amazing. It has this head on it. It comes off, so you can wash it. It is silicone versus bristles because, like the vanity planet, ones which i do have, the bristles can harbor germs and stuff and cause you to break out, and it can be quite abrasive on your skin. But because this is like a silicone little head, it doesn't irritate your skin, it's not abrasive on the skin and then it doesn't harbor germs it's easy to clean and you don't have to keep replacing this. You just clean it. This gets out so much from your skin and your pores, even when you think that you got everything off your face, you didn't it makes my skin so freaking smooth when you put your other products on your moisturizers and stuff after you wash your face with this. It feels so amazing, there's honestly nothing like this, that i've tried before love this device. I don't know exactly like how much it costs and all that, but i will do my research find out and put it in the description box below. So if you're interested in this just check down there and then let's talk about some accessories and cute fashion things, i'm not the most fashionable person by any means, like i'm real basic like this, what you see right now is my fashion, but first i wanted to Talk about my apple watch because i did just get an apple watch for the first time, i'm still learning how to use it, but so far i really really like it. But more importantly, i wanted to show you guys the bands that i got because of course i wasted no time honey. As soon as i got this the next day i ordered new bands. Oh and all the bands are from amazon, so i'll have them linked below, but the first band is this cute. I feel annoying like doing this whole like thing, but i don't think it'll focus unless i do that. The first one is this cute. I guess cheetah print band and then i did also get this other animal print band, it's more like gray versus the brown one like this one, so you know like different fits and then i did get this fake. I don't even know if you'd call this fake burberry, but it's like a plaid. I thought it was cute. I personally like these bands more than the rubbery ones you can find. You know some cute animal print ones, but the like rubber wristbands - and i don't like that - really impressed with these bands on amazon a few more things from amazon. I did get these really freaking cute scarves. You guys know the whole trend you can wear like the head scarf. You could even tie these into different types of tops, but i got this basic like cream and cheetah, one that i think is so freaking cute and then i of course wanted one with the orange vibes like picture this, like as a head scarf with the red Lip and then i really liked this green one. You know, i don't usually wear color like this, but i really like it. It'S really cute and again you can just wear it so many different ways. You could even tie it on a purse or a backpack. You can tie it around like your bun, you know what i mean like do a low tight bun. I really didn't think i had this much stuff to show you guys but turns out. I do okay, so the next little accessory is this backpack. So this is my new favorite thing ever i wanted something that i could either put across my body or a backpack where my hands can be free. I was trying to find a small purse and i just couldn't find one that i liked, but then i found this super cute backpack at target y'all. They had so many different cute little backpacks. So i just think it's the perfect size. I didn't want one too big or too tiny, because i do want it to fit all of my things, but i didn't want it too big to where it's like a big ass backpack. You know the best part is the size of it. I just think it's the perfect size, because this part is big enough to hold everything y'all. It fits all my snacks. I only have one snack in here right now, but usually girl. I got like a whole bag of snacks, and it fits in here so y'all already know. Tarjay is where it's at and then last but not least, i'm gon na do a few home decor items just because y'all are obsessed with my home decor on my instagram anytime. I post anything, even if i'm not even posting about an item. It'S just in the background y'all are dming me like: where is that from where's that from i'm, like y'all, aren't listening to me talking my stories you're just looking at my at my stuff, but that's fine, okay. So the first home decor item is this little pot right here and everything i'm about to show you. It'S only four items so it'll be quick, they're all from at home. So i don't know if everyone has an at home near them, but it's basically a glorified home goods, but this white pot is really really cute. I'M obsessed i like how clean it looks, how basic it looks and like kind of that modern contemporary look. That'S my vibe, the next little decoration i have is this girl, i think she's a girl. She could be a boy, i honestly don't know, but this top knot makes me think she's a girl, and i think that we look alike. But i got this from at home as well, and it's just a really cute shelf item. In my opinion - and it goes with the aesthetic of my home and then last items of my august favorites - is these two completely opposite looking pots right here? I liked this one because it has these leaves on it. I think it's so cute and then obviously it's like the same color scheme that i like white's, creams, nude type of wood colors. So this went perfectly with my home aesthetic and then i just got this random little like straw type of it's, not even straw. What do i say baskets like a basket, i obviously haven't filmed a video in a while because i don't know how to do this anymore. But yeah last thing is this cute little bowl basket weaved situation? I don't put anything in any of these things. They just sit on shelves, but i just think that they're really cute and i love them. I had so much more home decor to show you guys, but we don't want to be here all day.
