Hello, Wishtrenders it's Kasper and I'm back with Teen Beauty Bible.. Last time we talked all about sunburns.. Not only did you guys love our tips, but you guys always give our teen guests a warm welcome.. So thank you so much for that.. Today we are going to share bad habits that you may not be aware of, and maintaining a healthy hair and scalp. Habits are long-settled behaviors from our everyday life., Brushing your hair and drying. It is also a habit.. Aren'T you guys curious whether or not you guys are having good habits or bad habits? If you guys are, then please stay tuned till the end of the video.. Now, let's introduce our teen guest. Hello Hi. My name is Yoo Yeon Ji and I'm 18 years old.. My hair is really oily., So even after I shampoo, my hair, especially the roots, get oily quickly., So I tend to not wash my hair, often because it gets oily quickly after I wash it., Because I heard that washing your hair often isn't good. I wash my hair once every two days during the evening.. I don't trust in myself to wake up early before school, to wash my hair. Today's teen guest mentioned that she likes to wash her hair once in two days at night time.. We are also curious about when our Wishtrenders wash their hair., So we did a little survey. According to our survey ``, when do you wash your hair ?'', a lot of you guys answered ``, not every single day.''. So when is the perfect time to wash your hair, Let's find out.. So to tell you guys the conclusion. First, It really differs based on your hair type or scalp type region or lifestyle.. But let's give you guys some tips on washing your hair.. Shall we check out the most liked comments of the survey I wash my hair twice a week, because I feel, if I wash my hair frequently, it will damage my hair, as I have a little dry hair, Even though I put on hair oil, my hair gets Dry, like 70 % very soon. Now our friend here might have dry scalp.. If you guys have dry scalp, it might be good to wash your hair just twice a week.. If you wash your hair too frequently, then your scalp may become even more dry.. I heard washing your hair everyday is not good.. I try to wash once in two days, but I can't. My hair feels dirty and my scalp becomes itchy. Plus I sweat a lot, even though I don't do anything.. So I decide to wash my hair every day. Only in the morning., Sometimes I wash twice a day. Wow., So diligent Now our friend here might have oily scalp.. If you guys have oily scalp, it might be better to wash your hair more frequently than those with dry scalp.. If your hair feels extra oily and if you've sweated a lot during that day, it's okay to wash your hair twice a day.. But if you're going to wash your hair everyday. Like this friend in the comment, Then it's best to wash your hair at night. Dust. Sweat and pollutants are piled up on our scalp every single day.. If we do not remove them and go to bed, then dust and oil will clog our pores and can cause problems like dandruff and inflammation.. It can even cause hair loss and also if these dirt and pollutants rub all over your pillows, then it could actually cause skin troubles on your face and neck.. If you wash your hair in the morning, essential sebum will be removed and it takes about three to four hours for your essential sebum membranes to recover.. If you're exposed to UV light before this membrane is created, it can cause skin troubles and inflection. Our unconscious behaviors. Can damage our scalp and hair. So shall we find out if today's teen guest has a good habit? Stop I've already found three bad habits. Number one. The amount of shampoo you use.. Now it's easy to think that it's better to use more shampoo., But no. This means that it's harder to rinse it off thoroughly and leftover shampoo may stimulate the scalp. Bad habit. Number two. Do not shampoo your hair right after you soak it.. If you shampoo your hair right away after you soak your hair, you can't thoroughly risne off the dust and waste on your hair and scalp.. If you have a lot of waste on the surface of your scalp, there will be less foam. And if you want more foam, you'll use more shampoo right As a result, like I mentioned in bad habit number one, you will stimulate the scalp more than necessary.. If you comb your hair and soak your hair for one or two minutes before you shampoo, Then it'll be easier to clean off the waste with clean foam. Bad habit. Number three. Do not apply shampoo directly to your scalp.. It is better to make the foam lather on your hands before you apply it directly on your scalp. Direct application of the shampoo on your scalp may cause inflammation and dandruff.. It is more important to remove the waste on your scalp than your hair., So clean your scalp first.. Now I will share proper hair washing tips. Proper hair, wash habit number one. Wash your hair, like you, are massaging the scalp with your fingertips., Be careful not to stimulate your scalp with your fingernails.. If you scratch, the scalp with fingernails, the germs under your fingernails, can cause infection on your scalp., Proper hair, wash tip number two.. If you stand up and shampoo, the upper scalp will be soaked with enough water to rinse., But the lower scalp might not be rinsed. Perfectly., So don't forget not to shampoo, with only one posture. Proper hair wash habit, number three. Wash hair with water around your body temperature., Over 80 % of hair is made up of protein and the protein hardens when it gets warm.. So if you wash your hair with hot water, the hair protein hardens and decreases treatment effects., On the other hand, washing your hair with cold water lowers cleansing, efficiency and residue of shampoo is prone to be left on your scalp., Proper hair wash habit number four.. Do not apply treatment or conditioner on the scalp.. Most of the treatments or conditioner products contain silicone to make your hair soft and glossy.. The silicone ingredients are hard to be rinsed, and if they pile up on the scalp, It will cause allergy and inflammation, which can even cause hair. Loss. Treatment or conditioning products should be applied from the end of your hair, at least five centimeters away from your scalp.. Now shall we check out the most liked comment from our survey. I wash my hair once in two days in the afternoon, around 5 p.m. So when I'm going to sleep, it's already dry and I don't use hair dryer to dry it up. Many of you. Let your hair dry naturally Or spend time with your hair wrapped in a towel like our friend here right. If you let your hair dry, naturally, because you think hair dryer is bad or if you keep your hair up in a towel for a long time. Your scalp is left in a damp environment.. In this case the germs increase and can cause scalp dermatitis or even hair loss.. Also, the more your hair stays wet, the more it absorbs water and damages the cuticles.. Unless you dry your hair with hot air. It'S actually better to dry your hair quickly and efficiently, using a hair, dryer. Number one. Remove water from your hair as much as you can before hair dryer.. If you do not remove moisture enough, you will have to use the hair dryer for longer. Rather than rubbing it. It is better to gently Pat using a towel.. It'S also good to use absorbent towel. Step number two. Apply, hair essence or serum before using the dryer. Hair essence, products protects your hair from the heat from the hairdryer.. The end of the hair has less nutrients and moisture. So make sure to apply essence. First, to the ends of your hair. Number three. Dry, your scalp first.. The wind should be blown from the roots of the hair to the ends of the hair.. The cuticles that protect the surface of the hair are overlapped like fish scales. And they are directed from the roots to the end of the hair.. So if you dry from the end of the hair, Then the cuticles will be lifted and your hair will feel frizzy and crunchy. Number four. Do not use hot air to dry. Your hair, quickly. Hot air increases the scalp's temperature and it stimulates the hair follicles.. Also, it dries the scalp and destroys the water oil balance of your scalp. Use the hairdryer from a distance and try to dry with cold air. If possible., If you don't have enough time, switch between cold and hot air., This is more effective than just using cold. Air. Also, if you finish off your blow-dry with cooled, air it'll maintain the style of your hair for longer.. Now, let's talk about some bad haircare, habits. Number one. Wearing same hair parts for a long time. Scalp between your hair parts is exposed to UV lights.. So if you don't switch up your parts frequently, then only one part of your skin gets damaged.. This causes your scalp to weaken, and this may even lead to hair loss. For healthy hair. It is good to change your hair parts once every six months or a year. For Healthy hair. It is good to switch up your hair parts once at least six months or a year. If you dry your hair in the opposite direction of your parts. After washing it, It is easier to style your hair and change. Your hair, parts. Ironing, wet hair., Strong heat on wet hair, deprives moisture and causes your hair to look frizzy and less smooth., Even if you're busy, even if you're, in a rush try to iron. Your hair, when your hair is 80 % dry. I used to squeeze shampoo into my hands and lather it right away on my scalp., But today I lathered my shampoo in my hands first before shampooing., and I think this method is better., So I'm going to continue. Shampooing, like this. My skin, Covering my pores. Kids, my age have a lot of acne and me too.. because of stress from exam season. ... My hair got so soft.. Also. I learned that I need to fix my habits when washing my hair, because there were a lot of things I was doing improperly. Bye., So did you guys enjoy our video? I hope these hair care tips really helped you guys out.. If you guys have any further questions, Then please leave them down in the comments. Below. I never thought that this routine will work perfectly for me! ♥

Wishtrend TV: Hi Wishtrenders Today, we talked about the first topic we have to help create healthy habits. Did you guys have the proper habits? Also, let us know in the comments below if you’re curious about any other daily habits~

Abdul Ahad Mambath: if you wash ur hair everyday it will make it more oilier. washing ur hauir often will dry ur hair out and it will naturally lead to more oil production. if u wash ur hair everyday slowly try to make it every 2 days, then 3 days and so on. it will take time for ur scalp to adjust with this new routine but eventually it will naturally start producing less oil. o have very oily scalp and i used to wash it everyday and it made it even more oilier. i was very stressed as my hair started falling out. i did some research and found out that washing hair less often will actually make it less oilier and it will also improve the overall health of ur hair too. and i swear by everythimg, changin my hair wash routine from daily to once a week lliterally changed my hair. it started falling out less and it doesnt get as oily as it used to. now i wash my hair once a week in winter and twice a week in summer. this was literally a game changer in my hair growth journey.

Danica M: I've been following this routine for about a week when i saw your post in IG and i see my hair improving. It's softer now and it my scalps feels fresh all the time. Thank you WishtrendTV.

Vybl08: y’all forgot the most important thing, sulfates in shampoo. it causes dry and oily hair

DancexUponxThexMoon: I have literally had the same hair parting my whole life. I had no idea I was meant to change it. Overall a good video; I'll definitely be trying these tips out. Thank you ^^

ame: loved the video! very informative and I will definitely use these tips! I think you guys should do a video showing the best products to use for your hair. I also think it would be a good idea to make a teen hair care routine showing the step by step process to get soft and healthy hair. thank you for the video <3

GABZ !: omg I needed this badly, my hair falls off so much and now I know why!! thank you sm for this video!! I've been doing so much wrong... LOL

Aesthetic Cat: As a person who has thick curly hair I must say most of these tips weren't for me, great video though I do give them that.

sincerely, jenn: This helped me to clean my hair better! Thank you. I sometimes get oily hair and dandruff from not being educated enough on hair cleaning, even though I have all these fancy products that my parents would buy for me. These tips helped me so much, thanks!

Azwa M: This video literally contains everything I wanted to know about my hair. OMG! Wishtrend! I'm so thankful to you guys❤

Macy K: The hair parting/UV exposure thing has never actually come to mind when it came down to hair and scalp care for me. LUCKILY, I've gone through a few different parts throughout my life anyway. Middle part is my most used, but sometimes I would have my hair parted to the left, very rarely to the right (but it happens, haha), and other times, I just move my center part to be slightly offset to either the left or right. Other than that, I've pretty much nailed it when it comes to good habits for my hair, minus the whole lightening and dying my hair a few times a year, haha.

Jokorin: basically I've been told my whole life that if I have oily hair and wash them often it becomes worse BUT I also suffer from hair loss (it comes mostly from stress, but I guess the way I wash my hair affects it a lot too) and when I let my hair unwashed for a while they come off more than usual when I wash them and I was actually surprised when that happened, but now I do know why.... thank you a lot for this video, I really needed that!

Charms: Aww your teen guest today is so adorable and she did a great job with helping us viewers out. Thanks Yoo Yeon Ji i hope you will come back for another episode. And thanks wishtrend i will try these tips out

Atenea: Ahh this helped me so much. I have most of the bad habits, recently I thought of having a special treatment for my hair since it’s summer and I don’t take much care about my hair Thanks guys!!!

Geetika Vyas: Thank you for sharing the amazing tips. They're all very helpful ❤ I had a question that I have a oily scalp and dry frizzy hair and also they are wavy in nature. It'll be really helpful if you could do something to help it. Thanks again! ✌

Kumiko: This is a really informative video! Compared to other videos Ive watched and articles/blogs I’ve read, I learned more about hair care through this video. Seriously, where was this video when I was in high school?? I’m already 25 and this video made me realize that I still make some bad hair care habits.

Khairun Nisa' Muhamad Yusuf: Hi Kasper.. Thanks very much for this video. I'd been follow your advices on conditioner and shampooing for 2 weeks now, especially on conditioning. My hair looks better and my scalp is less itchy. Although I'm wearing hijab almost 8-12 hrs per day..your advices work wonder.. Thanks again..^^

Kasper 캐스퍼: Have fun taking care of your hair and scalp all you beautiful Wishtrenders!

Honey Michelle: I tried this tips and my hair is a lot softer now. This is so helpful thank you! Everyone should try it.

lidette711: After I got my hair straightened, I was more careful with my hair. I'm surprised that ever since the treatment, I developed good hair care habits! I use less shampoo and I dry my hair with cool air now. :) Now I get compliments for my hair all the time. :)

Dawn Docto: WOW! Very informative. These tips are so helpful. Thank you so much!

Ema Tomova: Girl: I heard washing your hair often is bad, so I wash it once every 2 days. Me, washing it twice a week thinking that's pretty often:

flo G: 1) don’t wash hair to frequently (unless oily scalp) 2) wash hair at night so dust can be removed before it goes into your scalp 3) don’t put too much shampoo 4) soak hair for 2 minutes before you shampoo so the dirt can come out more easily 5) later shampoo before putting on scalp 6) massage hair w fingertips not nails 7) change posture to shampoo back of hair 8) wash hair with water around your body temp 9) put treatment or conditioner on ends of hair at least 5cm away from scalp 10) don’t leave hair wet or on towel for a long time 11) remove as much moisture from hair with patting a towel rather than rubbing before hair dryer 12) use serum before drying 13) dry with cold setting or alternate the temp back and forth if you don’t have time 14) dry hair down the hair strand so cuticle of hair will lay flat, drying the scalp first 15) don’t wear the same hair part for more to 6mo-1year so the exposed skin won’t get damaged for hair loss 16) don’t use heat tools on wet hair, wait until it’s 80% dry at the very least

Michelle Gonzalez: I watched this video months ago and my hair is softer , less oily and Lighter than ever ! Loved this video !!!

ひろりちゃん: I watched this right before taking a shower!! I'll fix my bad habits, Thank you Wishtrend!!!❤️

khadija: I've tried all the tips and it helped me so much it's crazy

-Saffie -: It used to be impossible for me to change my hair part until I changed to a mild shampoo and conditioner (Shiseido's Super Mild did wonders to my hair)

Mashiat: I'd like to learn more about specific hair problems like extreme hair loss and dry scalp solutions, especially since I've been suffering from these problems for a very long time now. Sadly the most affrodable hair products contain ingredients that dry my scalp even more and worsen it, so it would be helpful if you guys could provide some good hair product recs.

aya ys: ok wow i didnt realize i washed my hair that badly,, thank you for tips!! ill make sure to carry out with them when showering tonight~

binboda: Thanks for this! A lot of useful advice I’m taking away from this.

annie: hello! i tried this out today. bad habits i used to have listed in the video: - using my nails on my scalp - using too much shampoo - rubbing my hair to dry it - not using a hair dryer - squeezing shampoo and lathering on my scalp immediately - conditioner on scalp so i tried these good habits: - lathered shampoo on hands first - gently squeezed hair to dry it - massaging motion instead of nails - conditioner only on tips - using less shampoo (3 pumps, I usually use 5, not sure if 3 is considered a big number?) i didn't use a hair dryer because i was lazy. lol and my mom doesn't like me using it i'm not sure if 3 pumps is a lot of shampoo, but i tried these out and my hair is really soft and smooth!

sweetkeet126: I think this video should’ve had a disclaimer that these tips are for STRAIGHT hair. I have curly hair and these tips would destroy my hair :/ if you’re a young person with curls watching this video please be careful

Hollow: This video helped me so much! I’m having a hard time with finding ways to keep my hair healthy, but this video definitely helped me! For your next video, can it be about products for your hair with different hair types? Like dry scalp, curly hair, oily scalp etc? Cause I can never find the right shampoo.

Enajin K: wow this was super helpful! Hair loss has been annoying for a long time and I didn't know the cause. But now I know and I think I should wash my hair before going to bed.

Elissa Rose Holmes: “Teen Beauty Bible” Watches this when I’m 20 years old *BUT THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!*

Nilda Castañeda: I pretty much make all the mistakes you’re warning us about Thanks for the video, I will definitely be changing my hair care routine.

bbuingtan: Hi Wishtrend! Thank you for making these very helpful videos!

Hwa Whb: thankyou soo much! I learned so much from you and I've done bad habits lol. its so helpful

Priya darshini: Thanks a bunch! I have tons of problems with my hair....when I wash my hair, soon after drying it becomes frizzy and dry,and then some strands of hair come out shorty..TT I’ll try these out..hopefully they’ll work!!

Supriti Mahajan: Thank you for this awesome video. Because most of my habits are wrong so ,this video is really helpful.

Yuka Rin: Can you do a similar video but for skincare routine? I learned many things and this video was really helpful :) !

Pierson D'souza: It was very informative shared it with all my friends. Gotta switch some habits! Healthy hair

FortuneCookie: I'm surprised that I've actually been doing most of these great tips so glad

miracle dreamer: 1. As suggested by the past time ppl Do not wash ur hair more than 2 times a week until its necessary Because reseach shows that it doeant matter what hair type u have .... Washing frequently will damage ur hairs So wash once/twice a week

NoName: This helped me so much! thank you :)

Taniesaz: this is actually so helpful omg. im definitely going to be trying this out when i shower

Amelia: Woah - this is so helpful and I learned a lot x

val val: i relatively have perfectly healthy hair, what i do is: -dont, maybe never iron your hair. but if its inevitable use a conditioner to revive your hair, it worked for me. -i use shampoo everyday, now if you think your hair doesnt settle for a chosen shampoo, give it more time for your hair to adjust, switching hair products too often might be a factor of bad hair, so let yours settle. ive been using the same dove shampoo ever since i knee what a shampoo was and my hair' s pretty okay. -dont use a lot of hair products, duh. i dont personally use any at all. -let your hair breath, dont tie your hair too much, or maybe dont use shampoo and just let your hair oil meet your hair. l

Guymingi: Uummm no ,letting your hair air dry keeps your hair moisturized ,prevents heat damage ect using a blow dryer constantly can cause dryness, make your hair brittle, loses it natural moisture, split ends ,breakage .... these are things everyone knows

blackdevil: Now I know why I get too much hair fall...thank you for the tips it's really a great help

J.A: This vid was life changing. I learned so many things that I'm not doing correctly, like directly puttin the shampoo to my hair, letting it dry naturally without hair dryer, and not changing my hair part.

She made BEEAAANSS: I want to see a video on what kind of bangs different face shapes should get?

T G: Omg... I wash my hair only once a week and it still doesn't get oily or itchy at all. Thank you for the video, I missed Kasper

ma. jannie fulo: wow i usually let my hair dry naturally and it seems like what i've been doing the whole causes damage, this helps me a lot cause i have a very bad case of dandruff and hair loss where every time brush my hair using my hands there will always be hair on my hands, thank you very much on the tips and knowledge you provided

Mandy Huang: Thank you so much for this video ;—; I’ve always had so many problems with my hair that I didn’t know what to do with it

mai kasem: Thank you so much those tips are really really helpful

Fullsun !!: I can't believe that I do every good habit without even knowing! My hair has never been a problem and know I see why

Rowena _: Can you please do a proper curly hair routine!!! (My hair always gets frizzy and probably following this routine will just make it more frizzy..)

Isabella: something worth adding, if you feel like your hair is veeeeery greasy every day even while washing twice a day, you scalp may actually be dry and overcompensating for lack of healthy oil. in that case, you would have to actually wash/shampoo your hair less and be sure to hydrate it, to stop the oil overcompensation, giving it time to recover. it will be uncomfortable but cutting down the washings may work well until it gets better.

trishasme: New to this channel and so happy to see something I always wondered about. Thank you!!

Chasity Weaver: This video helped alot. I was doing thing wrong the whole entire time. Now I know what and what not to do on my hair.

Belladonna Von: If you have greasy hair maybe try an oil based shampoo. For me I found the ‘dry hair’ type shampoos worked better because they didn’t strip oil from my scalp, and left my hair in better condition. That or shampoos with natural antiseptics (rose, Rosemary, Mint etc.) as it’ll help remove the bacteria and fungus on your scalp. Hope this helps someone but remember I’m going off of my experience so it could differ.

zaty mior: So helpful! Thank you!

just bored: this channel is my go to teenage advice ❤

summer stars: What I learnt: a. Don't wash your hair too often unless you have oily hair. b. Do not shampoo immediately after wetting your hair. c. Do not apply shampoo on the scalp directly. d. Shampoo your entire scalp. e. Use normal temperature water. f. Do not leave your hair wet for too long. g. Change your hair parts regularly. h. Do not apply products on the scalp, apply them on hair ends. i. Do not use very hot air for blow drying j. Shampooing at night is better.

Iman Gobet: I wash my hair once or twice a week, and dry it with a blow dryer (I turn it on cold air). My hair is thick, long and healthy.

lyric curran: I mark my calendar to remember when to wash. I am very busy, and wash my hair every six days (five days between, wash on the sixth) and usually in the evening. I did work my way up though, and if you jump right in, it takes a long time for your scalp to get used to the new routine.

Dannie Crispin: OMG I'm so impressed I was doing EVERYTHING wrong! :S Thanks for the tips!

Some Grape rock: I never knew you were supposed to change the parting of your hair. My hair is naturally parted from the side, so I've always worn it that way

Avian M.: I wash my hair once a week. But I was told that it’s healthy since I have 4c hair ( for those who don’t know I am back and have VERY natural hair ). And I was told to use a 100% cotton towel because towels damage my hair. A lot of things you said is the opposite to my hair

bop pop: Ohh I didn’t know you were supposed to put conditioner at the ends of your hair! I would usually smother it all over my scalp and wash it before washing my body! Thanks!

Silvercactus: I have long, dark brown, straight (Asian) hair which is actually really healthy. The sad parts are, that they get oily very fast, they split (but you don't really see it) and they grow slowly. I personally only use shampoo and don't dry it with a hair dryer (also during winter, except if I have to leave home immediately). Furthermore, I try to wash my hair not more often than once in two days because they become oily fast.

Fishy: For me I have oily hair after not washing it for two days. It makes me feel gross and I tend to get a shower right away because of it. Because of this, my hair is a little dry at the ends, but it’s not unbearable. But it think I have some hair loss because I tend to lose multiple strands when I comb out my hair after showering.

Youtube Angel Ameerah: I’m a 26 years old but I love watch the Teen Beauty Bible ☺️ Your advices are the best to make every girl prettiest ♥️. unicorn kisses

Swati Chahal: I found that washing my hair at night and letting them air dry overnight makes them more healthy, softer and silkier rather than washing them in the morning. Also, I have curly hair.

missfelishia: I'm surprised that so many wash they hair once every two days... For the past 3 years, I've washed my hair once a week with a sulfate free shampoo. Wasn''t fun at the beginning but I got adjusted by using a bristle brush. I start to get dandruff the 5th day (which can easily be brushed away) and my scalp starts to itch a bit the 6th and 7th day, but it isn't bad at all. I've never felt like my hair is dirty even though I wash it so seldomly. It's a nice sunday routine and I save lots of time too!

K-pop Stan: I first watched this like a year ago & I’ve been doing the hair tips she said & my hair has gotten really soft

lakshitha: Hey, can you try making a video on how to not make your hairline go back while putting your hair up (for example: in a ponytail). Beacause I've struggled with this for years as my hairline kept going a bit back and I freaked out! Anyways, kamsahamnida <3

baka san: a habit of mine (that I will never be able to change) is that every school year, I shower twice every day because I just don't feel right after school. in contrast, during summer vacation, I hardly shower unless i feel the need to, my hair gets oily, or so and so. I'd say I shower once every 2-3 days then. yep...I do every bad thing in this video. I'm doomed.
