I have my clients here who came um ready to start taking care of her hair um, as you can already tell uh, she hasn't had a trim in a very long time, which we've talked about um outside of that i'm just gon na. Have you tilt back outside of that uh? We have some alopecia going on in her crown area um initially, when she came, we were going to do a relaxer, but to be quite honest, it's not time yet she just got one in september. So um we talked a little bit um. I went ahead and shampooed her for today's shampoo. I used the new um hair repair and restore shampoo and conditioner on her, and then she actually went in the dryer for about 15 minutes as a deep conditioner with the hair repair and restore um. And then, after that, i molded her and put it under the dryer, because we decided that we were going to go ahead and do a cute french roll on her. So clearly her stylist, that used to be her stylist is no longer available. She hasn't been able to get that beautiful french roll, that she's always loved right. That'S right, um! So crystal's going to do the french row um! I i've done french rose 20 times before, so i was kind of shocked when she's, like you know her size that she was going to doesn't really know how to do french roll and i'm like. Well, that's all that's the simplest part of the process, so we're going to do a french roll, but before we even do the french roll, if you guys can tell she has a thinning in her crown, so we're going to mask that area. Um then, we're also going to trim her um. We just we're giving her the works today we're giving her the works so for her crown area up here. You guys can see here. So what i'm gon na do is i'm actually gon na. Take her french roll up to about right here, so we're gon na use utilize the hair she has here and take that french roll up to about here and then the hair that we have here. We'Re just going to add a track or two here and create a nice little um illusion there and she does not know how to do hair at all she's, typically wearing a ponytail. So we are going to give her a style that she really won't have to do much with, but it will still be all her hair most of it. Yes, all right, you guys, so i'm going to go ahead and blow her out. That'S first, so she was already under the dryer air drying um. Now i'm just gon na go through and blow out the remainder of the way her hair was really dehydrated. So that's another reason why we did a hair repair and restore deep condition, rather than just an instant condition, because i wanted to i wanted to put some moisture back into her hair, also strengthen her hair at the same time, um. She is fully relaxed you guys, but her hair needs some tlc. So that was the purpose. And then i used a little bit of wrap foam just to mold down her side, because we didn't do a fresh relaxer, which is good because with french frills you don't really need a purple. So all right, so we blow dry. The remainder i'm going to get my cutting comb here so we're going to go ahead and trim her. She hasn't had a trim in years. You guys, and we talk about trim schedule all the time, so we're definitely going to start maintaining um her trim a little bit of build up back there. Okay, definitely want to start maintaining her her trim, which um i'm not going to be able to trim everything because it's extensive, but we definitely are going to start here. Put your mask so so. So i'm just finishing up my trim. She does still have some splitting, but this is a good stepping stone. I mean you don't have to trim everything off at one time. You can gradually do it, but if you haven't been trimming at all, this is kind of what happens and it's not even more say, um the client's fault because she was under the care of a stylist. So that's something that i definitely talk about all the time. You can take it all the time when it comes on to um maintaining your trim schedule that kind of thing. So what i'm gon na do is i'm just gon na go through with my small iron and i'm just going to um. Hey, i'm just going to kind of touch her roots a little bit just to kind of soak them, but i'm not going to soak everything because i don't need to. I don't need to soak everything. She does have a full relaxer, but i didn't think it was time for a retouch. Yet i like to have a good amount of new girls before i go and do a retouch relaxer, and then she wears a lot of ponytails. So we also talked about that. Um she had what we call like a permanent mark from the ponytail wearing right in the crown, and that's something that i stress when you continue to do the same thing over and over, so it actually made the alopecia worse. It was already alopecia was already going on and you just kind of ate it and made it even bigger right. So all i'm doing is just taking my little iron touching her roots, which is really it so it's kind of like if i was using a hot comb it'll be the same thing, but i don't need a hot comb for this part that makes it nice and Straight so you can cover it. So all right, you can take it down how much new growth should there be in order to get a relaxer um, i mean it really is just dependent on the stylist and the client me personally. I like at least a centimeter. If not more um, that kind of will go along with the 6 to 12 week mark like you do it, it doesn't need to be bone straight every single time and that's where people get that concept messed up and they start messing up their hair because they're Over relaxing like they're over processing by just oh, it's not straight. Let me go ahead and relax it or stylus, not really caring enough to say you know it's not time for a relaxer, yet you know i'll tell my clients that in a heartbeat, it's not time yet like. Let'S wait because i know the more new girl i have the less issue i'll have with overlapping and over processing all right, so she likes her french roll to close on this side. Am i right all right? Okay, so what we're gon na do is we're gon na go ahead and create so with french rose. All i use is a little bit of hairspray a little bit of gloss okay, because you want it to be nice and shiny as you go. So i start with my gloss and i use my gloss to kind of smooth that hair out. It'S like that. Let me get some pins, i'm trying to have things in so long, my big ones so we're just gon na use our big ones. Then, as a matter of fact, hold that thought you guys, let me go and borrow some bobby pins wow and my colleague has saved the day all right. So i already have my filler here, which i created while she was under the dryer. So i'm going to start with a little bit of sebastian. Shaper. Remember we're doing a french roll, you guys, okay! So what i'm gon na do is i'm just gon na take my flat iron and all i'm doing is just curling the end. This is the easiest way to do a french roller, so all i'm doing is basically creating a smooth french roll by literally just going in and putting some curls on the end go ahead. So all right, i can put it down so the sebastian shaper is not a hard hold. I tell people that it's not going to be your ideal hairspray if you're trying to hold the hair, but to start off i like to use the sebastian shaper and then i also have a little bit of got to be. This is going to create that firmness. So you all right, so that's what you want! You want it to be nice and smooth. Nobody wants a crunchy looking front row, it's still soft enough for me to do what i need to do and then i always finish it with a little bit of hairspray or oil or gloss of course. Okay, all right! So now i'm going to go ahead and take my little filler here. I'Ve already shaped it. Okay, if you want to shape it even better, you can spray it with a little bit of hairspray. Take your blow dryer. Okay, make sure that my french roll here is in the right place. French roll should be positioned in the middle of the head. You guys just so everybody's on the same page. Take one pin to secure my bun same thing down here all right, so i'm going to leave this little piece out right here and we're going to start from the bottom and work our way up, as you guys notice, i'm not putting anything in there. Yet. In regards to like bobby pins stuff, like that, i'm not spraying any more hairspray, nothing, i'm just positioning my hair, where it needs to be because if you spray hairspray, now it's not going to stay. You know end up locking yourself in in a place where it might not be ready to go so now take a little bit of sebastian shaper, because it's a soft hold okay and then i'll just start, laying my little frizzies all right. So i'm going to take my hair pins now and i'm just going to use this to lock it in that's. It y'all see that nice and smooth nice and smooth french roll come through. I thought i couldn't do it huh. I thought i was just too young to be doing french rolls now she said french roll. I said yes, simple, most young stylists, don't know how to do french rules. You couldn't even ask them for french. They gon na try to talk you out of it girl. That'S so old, though you sure the only reason why i say you sure, because they don't know how to do it, are you sure uh am i giving you french vibes. I am so for down here i'll do that last. So all i did was put in two bobby pins just to make sure that the hair is secure in there before i close it, okay, but i want you guys to see her side y'all see how nice and neat that is. Okay, all right, so i'm gon na come over here. Now you guys notice. I did leave this hair out because this is going to close up here in the top, but before i do that, i'm going to go ahead and shift my focus to this crown area. Yes, so she can't do hair. So the worst thing i can do because i asked i was like hey okay, so i'm getting some pin curls at the top and i'm gon na have you pin curly and she gave me this. Look like huh like what are you talking about, so i'm not moving her. That'S a no. I was going to give her a swoop and then connect it into her french roll and we're going to call it a day. Because then, i know she's going to come back like what was i supposed to do with the curls on the top? Am i um i'm sorry and i don't want to take her out of her element, not just yet we ain't there yet i'll give her like two appointments, yeah. I thought i was gon na get it on. I don't think so cause i feel like you're gon na be yeah. We'Ll do we'll think about the cut the next go around. I just wan na give you something that you'll be comfortable. First, okay, put you back in your element. First uh. Thank oh left. Had him, but i um since, but she was always curled up and she'll, put the franks on it and make it sit up hot, because i like to put the sit up all you like. I got you. Let me see something yeah you just you're, really making it work. Let me turn this stone on. She said crooks y'all about to get rid of. What'S putting me out in your element, oh no one can do here. Yeah who takes. Thank you guys. My room size is, oh me, so follow me i'll turn it around in a second, so you guys can see the top when i'm done, i'm just laying these tracks. Oh oh everybody say yes, love it where's the spritz y'all so funny. I remember leaving the salon smelling like nothing but pump it up. Yes, hey that french road stayed, though i told you um somebody thank you bianca. So this piece right here, i'm gon na use to cover the tracks that i have to extend all the way over. So you guys will see in a moment what i what i mean so that you don't even know that she had thinning going on here: um, okay, all right! So this is going to be my final piece, so we did maybe four or five baby tracks in the front. It'Ll come out really really easily too. So i'm gon na show you guys, if you guys see here where she had where she had the thinning right here in this area. All of that is gon na be covered, so you won't see any of that at all. You won't even know she had a problem and that's another reason why i wanted to wait to close up the french roll, because i know at the end of the day what i was gon na do anyway outside of that. So what i'm gon na do here, i'm gon na go ahead and pin that here to the side, okay and we're gon na work on this part over here. The last thing that i'm gon na put up is this piece to close it off here: ready yep. All right so we're going to work on this side here, hey dad, i'm going to spray a little bit of dr b on my comb to really lay down this side here. Just like that. Take my brush start standing this side. Oh all right! So now i'm gon na go ahead and seal in the french foam, make it nice and tight uh uh, oh uh, oh, is what i am so we'll finish off this last piece after i get her all curled up right there, i'm gon na use one myself. So we're gon na marcel it out. I don't think any of you have ever seen me use marshmallows see if the stove is hot. So what are you guys thinking so far? Is it giving you french roll vibes changed? Oh all right! So in the meantime, in the meantime of the marcel's warming up we're going to give her a little bit of filler, she doesn't even need much it's a little bit of masking fiber all right, so i'm going to go ahead and blend her cut here. These are hot already look at that uh samuel actually, okay, there, so so so so so so so they say, your french role is giving them jail, pinky, vibes, yeah! That'S all i was to wear. She looks to be breakdown for um, 1792 and crossway anderson used to be longwood. I think that's all i would this used to be in that salon in there me till back home, it's okay, it's live honey! That'S why the camera is fuzzy. When you're filming live. You don't really have a choice as to the quality of it. It'Ll go fuzzy, then it'll go back good and it'll go fuzzy again. There'S like no really good way around it. I tell people like i don't throw my marcels away. I just don't use them because i've adapted to using my flat irons and making it work, but i still have my stoves in here. That'S for sure, because if my flat irons break, i got my marcels all right, so we're going to do the last little roll here, i'm doing them small, because i want to give her the height she likes height. I like that. The fact that she's not rough, beat you up head and give you a next brainstorm. Really you guys you guys? Okay, you do all right, so her curls are done. So what i'm gon na do now this piece here that i had i'm gon na use. My big barrel marcel to seal it in when i'm done, i'm going to use this piece so so they said they love it. Okay, all right! Thank you! [ Applause, ]! You put your it finger. [ Applause, ], [ Applause, ], all right, you guys. So what we're gon na do real, quick, we're gon na seal it in when i say seal it in [ Applause, ], [, Applause, ], so [ Applause ], all right! So we're going to take our white barrel and our holding spray. And you can't see the deal but i'll pump it up here, i'm outside so i'm gon na steal the deal, make it nice and firm so that it will last her through our next visit. [ Applause, ], [ Applause, ], [ Applause, ] supposed to carry those okay, [ Applause, ] there you go all right, we're gon na. Do it once around [ Applause ]. Do we see any thinning? We do not y'all see that french roll. I do you guys are gon na steal, y'all yeah, just gon na clean up her area back here last but not least, make these curls stay. Okay, take your blow dryer and we're gon na diffuse it. So all right there we go and she is all done. She'S ready for the world, you guys, oh my gosh, all right, so i'm gon na pull the camera back here. So she can look at her own hair in the mirror. Okay, come home! Okay! Now you can take it off yeah! That'S me, uh! That'S you! Sorry! What about you? I think, that's just a piece of paper. Oh yeah! I like that. Oh yeah, i like it, that's good all right. She says it's good. If she says it's good, it's good! Ah, that's good! It'S good! All right! You guys! So we have completed the task we have given what should have been gained and we are all done. I appreciate you guys for watching. I know this was out of my normal element, so it was really nice to be able to showcase to you guys that i actually do still know how to do hair um, but don't forget um we'll be having a flash sale tomorrow. All of our hair repair and growth, shampoo and conditioners will be ten dollars. So you guys look out for that. Email and i'll see you guys in the next video peace.

Jannis Sherrod: How did you treat her alopecia? Did you advise her to go to her primary physician or a dermatologist? Do you talk to her about possible nutritional deficiencies in her diet and exercise? Did you massage the area with a stimulating essential oil mixed with an organic growth oil? I believe you know how to treat alopecia. I have been watching you for years now. You focused on covering up the alopecia not treating it. It is a Stylist's responsibility to not only style the hair but care for the hair and scalp.uf you did advise her then you should discuss that also. We want to kearn how to treat and take care if our black hair. BlackHairandSkinCare.
