Um before anything, I would like to apologize for wearing awake when I'm doing my natural hair journey. It'S just that. I just got my hair braided down and y'all requested this video. So I couldn't just take out my braids. You know, so I'm really sorry about that. Yeah um, my name is Eugenia Kelsie. If you're new to my channel welcome. I hope you, like my content and stick around and if you're returning subscriber thank you so much for scribing and also coming back to watching this video. So today I will be doing my natural hair journey I'll, be showing you guys how I grew up my hair and as well as like producted, that I've been using the ones that helped and ones them to help. And, oh that you know and as well Slyke. My current routines and stuff - so, let's, let's just get into this video yo, I'm so excited kita kita. I first went natural in 2014. I think it was October of 2014 and prior to that I have. I had never had long hair like no one in my family has long hair, except for me right now, because it's just kidding. This is a picture of me. Yes, okay, and this is so long as that my hair had been until I went 19 2014. When I went after all, my hair growth was okay, like it didn't grow fast, as in go Helen like whatever I think the average person's hair grows six inches a year. Mine was five. So therefore, my first year of going natural, I grew my hair up. Five inches when inserted picture is iWitness start a picture here, so that's from 2014 to 2015 and from 2015 to 2016, my hair GU about another five inches. So two years from going natural, I had 10 inches of hair great right. No, I hit a growth plateau after two years ago. My I thought my hair is gon na grow 5 inches every year and then it's like 5 years, if I'm gon na, have 25 inches of hair. No, I hit a growth plateau two years into my natural hair good, so this is what I did, and this is what has helped me throughout my natural hair catering. These steps are not in order of importance, it's more like how I did it so yeah. That'S getting to it the first step in my natural, like in growing my hair with the use of fenugreek seeds. So what I do is that these are. I have them right here. It'S open but yeah, I pet frederique in water, like cold water, and I let it sit for about 24 to 36 hours. So that's like a day and a half and I strain the seeds out and the water that's left. I put in my water bottle and I hydrate it with my hair. Everyday fenugreek has nicotinic acid, which helps treat the scalp and it prevents hair fall. It also stimulate the hair follicle, so if you're experiencing involved in or if your hair is not growing, that's what I would recommend put the seats in the bottle and just put your hair in cornrows in the we're awake. That'S we using my routine. I have my hair in cornrows right now and I have a wig and once I take out my way, I just spray it on my hair and moisturize it every day and it's really been an essential part and making my hair strong and not falling out and Also stimulating my hair follicles to grow. The second step, I would say, is to ditch the cult's like put the combs away like our Kings are not meant to be combed. Like I see people are you tube, like combing their hair and make sure ma'am stop like? Instead, what I recommend is putting your hair in protective styling and let me define protective styling and a hairstyle that does not last you from four to six weeks. It'S not protective styling, because it's not protecting anything. So your flat twist that lacks for a week is that protective styling, because, like your hair, the average person's hair grows have an inch a month. So if you're cutting your hand flat to us and you're coming in like you're taking it out and comb in it every week, you're living that have age you're like you're, not retain. I'M sorry like it sounds like I'm fighting, but I'm like really passionate about this. Like you're, not retaining that half an inch lay you're growing in a month, so that's not protecting anything protective styling that I've done, I would say crochet, braids or protective styling, putting your hair in cornrows and learning awake. It'S protective styling and that's my personal favorite, like I could wear my hair out in the wet a month and a half, and I just have weights on that's my personal favorite braids take on my edges out. So I don't really like braids like that, but they're also good. Let me check this side like all like the rest of your hair, you could do crochet braids what else you could there's there's so many up like I'll just insert them cuz. I don't remember, hit the ones that I've done, but I just like insert them all over the screen. Oh I've tried vixen crochet braids. Please don't do that. You'Re gon na have to straighten your hair and stuff like that. Don'T don't do swings. Cuz like I always. I was it's Owens and I did metal parts and, like the metal part of my hair is like really heat damaged. So don't assume ins, please protect styling, stop, combing, your hair and and if you are gon na comb, your hair and sometimes it's unavoidable. So if you're gon na comb, your hair use a wide tooth comb, my third tip to growing your hair long would be to use natural products. This is because, like some of the hair products that you guys buy have like, they have like chemicals and stuff in it and problem, mainly because it's mass-produced and it's like people, don't be paying attention to what they put in their hair. My favorite place to go. Get natural hat handmade product is on Etsy, I'm like you go and xeu typing like shea butter, like blah blah like you're gon na, have it made by small own businesses that put more attention and care into those products and you're gon na get all the nutrients. That'S needed for your hair, instead of going to like those huge companies that you scientist to like synthesize like the nutrients, so you're not really getting them from your natural sources, so I would say to go and Etsy and get your products from natural hair companies. My tip number four is all massages, so I massage my scalp with oils and I'm gon na tell you what oils to use and what all you should not use. So olive oil avocado oil, coconut oil. Those are oils like you could apply on your scalp and you can massage into your scalp and it could. It could penetrate your cuticles and it could penetrate your hair shaft. This is because these oils have a low molecular weight that helps them to be absorbed by your cuticles and hair shops is Lee. Oil is like a hobo oil and grape seed oil have a larger molecular weight, so they're not able to penetrate your hair shafts. I recommend to use them to apply shine to your hair and to also provide your hair with the sleep talking about oils with slick, I also recommend conditioners with a slip. What I mean by slip is that you know how, like with girls, are like our 4c hair, the coils are willing intact, and it's always stuck on our hair. So whenever you use the conditioner would slip it's like and slips your hair, and it proved right like it's stretched out like so I think that's why you guys watched my last video and some of y'all are like your hair is not for seeds like when you Use conditioners, with a slim edge, those Willis lifts up your hair, so you don't think, go in there and like detangle and do all of that and that really helps in making my wash routine like Willie, not easy, but it's just it just makes them less hectic And I don't have to go in there and like stretch it out and let comb me I just get a conditioner that slips your hair. My all-time favorite is the suave coconut hair conditioner. I think it's three dollars you can get it at Target. I always get my I try get and that's one of the best condition is to use step number six would be your washer team. If you guys have not seen my wash routine. I want to attach a link right here. You could click that and wash it after watching this video, but basically what I have to say about washer tin is that don't brush your hair when your hair is like Willie, wet or Willie dry, because in these two states your hair is the most brittle. Like your kinks are the most brittle and it's kind of break like you're gon na break your hair you're, not gon na retain any length you feel I have to detangling methods. I have the tension method with a blow dryer or I blow dry, my hair and then go back and figure the tangle, and I also have the threatening method. In case you don't want to put heat on your hair and I alternate between those, because sometimes I'm too lazy to do. It'S like thread my hair and wait for the next day to let go in your finger in the tango. So I do the threading method and I was going to use a heat blow dryer with the heat tension method, and those are the two that I recommend for detangling your hair to retain the most length step. Number: seven detangle, your hair. Before you see your stylist, like I don't know about y'all, but like the stylist that before I used to go to it's like they, don't even care that my hair is 4c, you know they be picking the Barbie calls and then just go through mouth. I'M just like ma'am like please like chill like you: go ain't gon na break my head off so detangle your hair before you go through any other stylist, so they're, not combing your hair out, and you know breaking your hair and let you spend months and months Like growing them out or not just learn how to use YouTube, you know learn how to coin rail learn how to grade so you can do your own hair, so you could part it how you want it. You could take your time to comb me how you want, because these Silas be how we have in hell with people booked and then like whenever you go there, just like them, take their time to comb your hair and looks like detangle and stuff, and they just Be breaking your hair so either pay your stylist more or when they start yanking. Your help tell tell them tell them, it hurts cry cry! That'S what I used to talk just sit there and be crying anything. They just feel so bad. You know so. They'Re gon na take their time. If you can't do your hair and we can't pay more and when they start yanking your hair out cry, it helps. I think someone asked me about hair vitamins, hair vitamins hasn't hasn't, haven't really worked for me or my natural hair journey. I remember earlier on, I tried biotin and by each and every rule it worked like. I took the pill like every day and it just broke on my skin and I never lose so a growth in my hair. But what that I do recommend is taking the Moringa powder, like you could put them in your smoothies. You can make tea with them and I have the nutrient like content here. It has protein as vitamin b6 it has vitamin C has iron, has vitamin A magnesium, all of which are very essential and going out your hair, so try Moringa like I stopped taking it. Cuz the taste was so bad and, like Allen, great smooth, like I don't drink smoothies. If you ask anyone that knows me anything, that's like healthy. I don't do them. I just eat chips and like Marengo is just too it was just too healthy for me. So I stopped and my hair grows, like I'm satisfied with my hair growth, it close. It grows about half an inch a month which just okay, so I'm not gon na drink more yoga, but I try my Ringo merino might be good for you. For those of you whose hair doesn't grow, if your hair is not growing at all, you might want to try Moringa, for my last tip would be to leave your hair of wood. Like you, don't know how many times I tell people to leave their hair alone. Put your hair in cornrows, let it just sit for a month and have no two months. If you want, you know, just let it let it be, leave it alone. Put it in breaks. Leave it alone, put it in crochet. Braids, leave your hair alone. Let it be, and it's going to grow, I promise you don't be doing all the extra stuff don't be like you know. I know people that get braids and take them out in two weeks like what like, why did you have to do that? You just ah leave your hair alone, one more advice: it's not all the tips that I have given to help. You grow your hair out, but if you're not natural, I don't know if it's going to work for you if you're relaxed like I never had long hair when my hair was relaxed. So I don't know how to help you, because, if you're, if your hair is relaxed, you're putting chemicals in your hair - and I just I just don't know how to help you - you know so go natural - go go like cut. Do the big chop do all of that and I'm gon na help you I'm gon na help. You grow your hair out, don't be scary. Kelsie'S cuz II got you, I got you, I really do so and yeah that would be the Oh. Some of they all asked how many times I washed my hair um, it usually depends. Usually I do it monthly. Usually, if I have my hair in cornrows, I do it like two weeks like I don't take my corn roast out. I just got in the shower and then just like you know, just put water and shampoo on it. I just wash it my corn oats, like my hair, my corn oats be looking hella raggedy, but it's like my hair is washed, and I have my rig on and no one's gon na know that my cornrows are like everybody, so my not might wash routine you. It just depends, I sometimes I do to me. Sometimes I do a month. Sometimes I do two months pushes really nasty but hey at least I got long hair and you don't I'm sorry, I'm sorry, sorry to let you go. I'M really sorry. You'Re, probably not gon na come back, but please come back. I forgot to record an ultra for this video but as always, thank you so much for watching my youtube channel. See you in my next video. Update : You can go www.kCurlsys.com to shop my Haircare Line.

Sis Vic: 1. Fenugreek seeds- soak in water for 24-36hs and use in spray bottle to hydrate hair daily 2. Don't comb kinks, put in protective styling (that lasts 4-6 weeks). I.e. cornrows, crochet, braids. At most, use wide tooth comb 3. Use natural products 4. Scalp massage with olive, avocado and coconut oil for penetration. Jojoba and grapseed oil for slip and shine 5. Conditioner with slip like sauve coconut 6. Have a wash routine. Don't brush when really wet or really dry. Use blow-dry tension method or threading 7. Detangle hair before seeing any stylist, or do ur own hair 8. Moringa powder in smoothies and teas 9. Leave your hair alone 10. Go natural

Sisima13: Let’s forget about her long natural hair for a moment and talk about how beautiful and flawless this woman looks ❤️

Day Janaé: The next decade is looking like a good one for 4c

Nia G: Who else is natural, excited to see your hair grow and watching a lot of natural hair Videos? ‍♀️

Jasmine Robinson: Girl your literally the most informative 4C naturalist on YT.

Working for Change: I found you 3 days ago& I am now binge watching everything you've done. As a dark skinned 4c hair having girl it gives me comfort in your experience because I can relate & I believe what you say will work because you look like me (representation is everything) I have hit a road block in my hair growth journey & I figured my hair would not grow anymore. I did the "big chop" in hopes to retrain, strengthen & regrow my hair. I have been up almost 2 days researching Fenugreek & adding it to my hair regimen. I am have purchased your moisturizer & I'm making your suggestions my hair bible. A woman's hair especially a black woman's hair is verrry important to who she is & how she moves. I have prayed on this & I know this will make a big difference. I am an avid follower now. I am so grateful I found your channel.

brianna Johnson: People really be hating on wigs nobody is forcing you to wear wigs she's just sharing what works for her!

Shaniah Reece: 1) Fenugreek street on hair 2) Stop combing your hair so much...keep your hair protected (4-6 weeks) to make sure you're retaining length 3) Use natural products..some hair products have wayyy too much chemicals (checkout Etsy ) 4) Massage your scalp with oils (use olive, avocado and coconut oil <---these penetrate your scalps and hair shafts easily) 5) Avoid brushing when wet and dry 6) detangle your hair BEFORE going to your stylist

JT_617: We need your skin care routine next sis. Then a vlog about your entire life I love it here

TashaFierce: The fact you said you’ve never had long hair should automatically make anyone who is looking to grow their hair sub to you! It’s me, I’m anyone. Subbed

Jenieve Headley: I do 2 months as well, and I’ve been keeping up with the 2 months wash period for 3 and a half years now; my hair surpasses mid back. It’s a great way to grow kinky/curly hair, but in between time it is absolutely essential to oil/moisturize your hair(every 2-3 days). Great tips btw!!!!!

Lil_ Piper: My honest opinion is that. Individually we have to take pieces of information from here and there. Pieces of routine from here and there. Pieces of this and that. Get to know your hair. Love your hair. Own your hair. Pay attention to your hair. Be patient with your hair. Leave your hair. Figure out what works for your hair and stop minding other people's hair business. That's what worked for me.

Quannye With Quality: I’ve seen my hair grow and get thick when I deep conditioned it monthly, trim my spilt end every 4-6 months and literally put my hair in my favorite protective style ( two strand twists) medium size. Since I haven’t been moisturizing it and been manipulating it, it’s been falling out. Also my edges are getting thin. Back to glueless wigs and twist I go!

Jasmine: Let's talk about how sometimes aside from pulling the hell out of your hair, stylists chop your ish when it's just supposed to be "a trim". This has happened to me twice now. Never again... Happy to have found your page girl. Thank's for all of the tips. Do you have any success stories/pics sent to you before and after your followers tried your advice?

Tanya B: I appreciate you showing your hair as a child. You truly proved the stereotype that someone has to have long hair as a child will have long hair as an adult. Excellent

angie bae: I'm so happy you mentioned the growth plateau because I'm experiencing that right now and it's been confusing me so I'm happy to hear that it is a thing that other people go through

Marneen Carter: I totally agree with your explanation of what an ACTUAL “Protective Style” is! Love the look you’re sporting in this vid. Again, thanks for Sharing this information & tips. I COMPLETELY SUPPORT THIS MESSAGE!! Btw...You are way adorable!

Bonjour Rosa: The Etsy tip is genius! I have been wanting an all natural leave in and will definitely purchase from there. Nice video, love your energy

TRUTHSERUM: You are so right about stylist who got some reason are rough with 4C hair like they are mad at it and hate it. I had one braid stylist to RIP through my tightly coiled wer hair with a piping hot blow-dryer. I was fuming I told another stylist about that experience and that I ACTUALLY LOVE my 4C hair, please be gentle and she in turn was incredibly gentle with my hair. ❤

Lillie Stewart: This video was very much needed for me because every since I did the big chop it’s taking my hair a while to grew . & seeing this video I took notes and I will be trying all the tips, methods & products you recommended. Thank you Kel

Brooklyn Homeschooling: I absolutely love the fact that you didn't talk down on yourself and you embraced your hair texture and you proved my brother wrong that "4c hair doesn't grow" the reason why our black women's hair doesn't grow is because the relax it and leave there hair out and comb it. I love this video because im a 12 year old girl who is struggling to grow her hair. Thanks for this video now im going to try these methods

Lakasha Laxey: I thank god for you!! You are helping me. I just done the big chop a few days ago and now I’m watching your videos like everyday! Please continue what your doing and god will bless you for your selfless sacrifices.

iateyursandwiches: You're so right about not detangling on wet hair, esp if you have fine hair like me. Even though our hair is stronger than straight hair and can be combed wet without being ripped to shreds doesn't mean it's still not in a very weak state. It's best to detangling on DAMP/slightly wet hair period. Your hair isnt constantly shrinking up on it's self either like it does when wet=more progress. I learned that the hard way when I used a tangle teezer in shower

Nn Bb: Love <3 Ms. Kelcy is lovely. And it's glad to hear a young woman encourage other Black women to use natural products AND DON' T let yo hair dresser abuse your hair!

Pashin4: I love that you're speaking about the health of your hair, follicles, shaft, and cuticles. Your passion is infectious. You should not have to go through all that...before... you see your stylist!!!! Girl, that breaks my heart that your stylist isn't interested in the health of your hair. Fire them!!!!!!!!!! A great hairdresser teaches you how to properly care for your hair by doing just that. I loooove my hairdresser, I'm almost at operation waist length because of her. Even when I had to stop going to her because I couldn't afford to, she taught me how to properly care for my 4c hair. Stylist/hairdressers that don't have this type of passion...need to find a new line of work.

E: You're so cute and helpful! Just want to say that in high school I texturized my hair and grew it long and yes, it's practically the same as with natural hair when it comes to sealing and moisturizing, protective styling, all of those are still important for retaining any length whatsoever!

Faith Bankole: The tip for me was the stylist one. My hair stylist used to use that tiny comb to tear out all my new growth. I've been walking around a 3 years natural with 1 year's worth of growth. Currently looking into styling my own hair.

Marbl: Thanks for the tips! I have the same problem, I hit a plateau with my hair growth years ago and even though I've been natural for almost 11 years, my hair hasn't grown past my shoulders! I know it's growing but it keeps breaking off and no matter what I try, I still get a lot of breakage . I'll try some of these tips, particularly the natural hair products but mostly importantly I'm gonna ramp up my protective styling! I'll see more growth in the next year.

Zahra: Good tips! Getting rid of detangling tools helped my hair out a lot this year. Lol I was dying when you said "Cry, it helps." Also, you're beautiful ♥️

eBONI Clarke: Finally someone that gives timelines with their routines.

AshleyReneé: @5:19 "im sorry it sounds like im fighting but im rlly pasionate about this" -literally every black girl. Dont apologize and dont explain yourself! much love

holyonfire: Such lovely hair! I wish I’d known of you when I was natural. I might have had the extra encouragement to stay with my 4C hair as it was. I’m still grateful for the tips and techniques I learnt while natural, though (unfortunately, learning and implementing them still only got my hair to just about collarbone length in 5.5 years).

LifestyleDish: These tips for 4c hair are so helpful. I have been looking for ways to breakthrough the plateau. I'll try these!!. Thank you so much girl!

Dee Musa: So true what you said abt these hair stylists rushing and breaking your hair. It’s ridiculous how much hair I’ve lost going to a professional. The last time i went i detangled and moisturized my hair prior and it made a HUGE difference now i only go for trims and i blow dry my hair b4 i go

mariem adem: Girl I am more than motivated to try out your tips. You are gorgeous by the way❤

cassenav: THANK YOU!!!! Finally a YTer who hasn't had butt-length hair since they were six years old. I've been natural my entire life and ive also been stuck at shoulder length my entire life so I WILL be taking notes

Sosha: Killing it! I went natural Nov 2014 and I am only at upperback

Milagro Elguera Yllescas: Your hair is perfection! And you look like a black Barbie!! I have 4c hair and trying to make it long, thanks for sharing sis! Blessing from Peru!

Taneaka Tillman: Thanks for sharing your journey and routine beautiful I love seeing how other naturals grow and maintain healthy natural hair. Looking forward to more videos. :)

Julia Tripp: "At least I got long hair and you dont." You are so so right. Leave your hair alone, and yeah, your hair may look hella raggedy under your wig, but youre growing it!!! Your advice is spot on!!

RenaeModelSize: I love this. Thank you for the best advice and different advice from the basic stuff everyone keeps giving. I’m 4c and I’ve plateaued. So I’m definitely going to try all of this.! new subbie.!

Kiara Moore: I’m at a growth plateau or a slow growth period, but I honestly could care less. But I might still try to help it grow by using various tips. Great video!!

Fit Sue: When she said “Anything that does not last your hair for 4-6 weeks is not protective style” Sis I have really sensitive scalp that gets dirty really quick and like clock work starts itching me every week. So I’ll wash my hair before my scalp bleeds from me starching it’s trying to make it last for 4 weeks.

Dornaline Cruickshank: The most growth I ever got out of my hair is when i put it in a protective style and left it for 2 months... amazing tips

Ashley Jones: Girl yes to you!!!! Finally someone who’s actually 4C talking facts and with results to show. You are heaven sent! One question: where do you buy your Moringa powder?

Yanique West: Even when my hair gets to this length it's gonna be like bra strap length because I'm nearly 6 foot with a long ass neck

Ansonia Lyons: so glad i found your channel and im so excited to try some of your tips for my 4c hair!! i've been natural since 2015 and my hair is struggling, it fell out after i miscarried a year and a half ago , it was growing okay before that , but i noticed when i got pregnant my hair really jumped and then after it fell out and hasn't been the same since then. can't wait to try some of this stuff out!!

Tishara Doby: “It sounds like I’m fighting” lol it’s okay girl we feel you

Elle Goddess Essentials: “Our kinks are not meant to be combed” EXACTLY!!!!!

d1mples91: I cut my hair two weeks ago and it's already growing back super fast. My hair grows back fast anyways. I already had that kinky hair, even with I had process and relaxed my hair, I still had that nice curl pattern. I wanted to try something different and here it is, chopped off. I use aloe vera, honey, Jamaican Castor Oil, and olive oil. I had to experiment with different hair products. What works for you doesn't mean it going to work for everyone else. And I make sure to massage my hair every night also, it helps stimulate hair growth also.

Kez B.: deep conditioning as I watch this.. I slacked on my hair so much this year.. no more though! Thanks for sharing!

S H A Y: Ive been natural for years and my hair never grows but from watching this video i hope this helps , thanks beautiful ❤!

Atom Student: You are amazing! You are a beautiful, sincere young lady with flawless, glorious, glowing skin. You have effectively proven your hair growing routine for your type of hair. Congrats on providing knowledge to those who can't seem to grow their hair. Keep up the good work! Natural beauty is real beauty! The contact lenses seem to detract from your natural beauty. Suggestion: Get clear contact lenses. So the light of your eyes can truly shine. Brown eyes are beautiful eyes!

Toni-Ann Leone: Gosh I love your personality. I'm really feeling this girl. Keep up the good work hun

LUS: I thought i was the only one who questions hairstylists’ method of combing hair!!!! Unbelievable, heartless, careless! How can they advice me after that?!?!

Discover CARMELLE: Great advice! I totally agree with using natural hair products made by small businesses on Etsy. I have an Etsy store & I also customize natural healing-care products for my customers using only the best organic, hand, picked ingredients. I also make everything to order, so it's fresh & better quality than the products sitting on the shelves at the store & in warehouses for months or sometimes years before it reaches the consumer. I'm on my natural hair journey & I'm starting a new YouTube channel sharing some of the tips that have worked for my super curly hair, starting with healing from the inside out. Your channel has inspired me! Keep up the great work! You're beautiful!!

Catherine Frye: Very great advice in growing your hair and thanks for sharing!

Ashley Lord: Thanks for these tips. My hair reached a plateau too and I just cut it again because I got frustrated. I will incorporate these tips, especially cornrows and leavening it alone. I think I did a little too much with learning and practicing how to box braid and what not and my natural hair suffered . But I can now do some mean fiery box braids tho!!! You gain some, lose some. Lesson learned! My goal is to pass shoulder length by this time next year. Thanks beautifully! . Keep up with what you’re doing. I’ll be coming back for more tips!!

DIANA B. KUWORNU: Wow Kelcy, well done. I like the part that you said leave ur hair alone. Leaving ur hair alone just allows ur hair to breathe and to make it grow the natural and not the forceful way. I like to keep my braids for a long time but alongside,I apply all the oils you mentioned, so am good to go. And that’s how I grow my hair. U and I speak the same hair language . I really enjoyed watching your video

Dr. Bassma B: Thank you for all your advices .. I shared your video to my family and friends . you know what you are doing and saying.. you talk from experience ... I want to share my experience after watching this video 4-5 months ago ..I have been always natural .. hair is always moisturize .. healthy eating, vitamins, no heat or chemicals .... etc . i am really good at taking care of my hair but still my hair didn’t grow long to my waist length .. my hair still at my shoulder length despite religiously taking care of it for over 3 yrs .. I do protective styles weekly . you are the only YouTuber who insists on leaving the hair in protective style for 4-6 weeks or longer.. I wasn’t sure about leaving my hair in protective style for more than a week . but i gave it a try . finally after 3 months I was able to retain length my hair is almost bra line.. girls listen to Eugenia leave your hair in protective styles more than a months , moisture ,and have a care routine.. this is the way of hair growth ...thank you .

Sumi Garcia: I always do crochet and it grew my hair. Ever since 2013, my hair started growing with crochet so I know she spitting FACTS. Crochet, faux locs and braids are what I do and I don't let anyone in my hair except my mother and I. Hairstylists always try to get me bald I wouldn't let them touch me with a 10 feet pole. If you don't like crochet; wigs and weaves do the job.

Mia Porche: That short cut was amazing on you! Beautiful hair.

Parker Harrison: I’m such a fan!! You’re soooo beautiful, I am definitely going to commit to your routine for a while

Melodie Blount: You are a beautiful sister. I love your honesty and thank you so much for sharing your hair tips. First hair video that has great to the point tips with a little humor and tons of personality. Keep up the great videos. I really don't subscribe much but I did to your channel.

TheeSleek Geek: You are beautiful! Keep up the amazing job in growing your gorgeous hair! :)

IssaJ: Same I never had long hair as a child. I grew my hair out about 14 inches. I hit a plateau and yesterday I cut all my hair off lol. Starting this journey over again.

Mandy Miller: Wow! My hair has grown SO much over the last year & my tip....? Leave it the hell alone! I TOTALLY agree with you! I box braid (not 2 small) & spray my roots with S-Curl (any curly perm spray) & I redo it every 4-6 weeks, my hair has never grown so much....so yeah, fingers, combs, brushes to a minimum. Oh, plus the BAGGY method is a game changer!

Adell J: Soooo much truth in this video. Cant wait for your next one, Queen!

ryann !!: is straightening your hair about 2-3x a month an obstacle for hair growth? personally my hair historically has responded really well to being straightened because i had serious issues with dry natural hair leading to absolutely no growth retention, and having it straightened helps absorb oils without being overly oily so that there's much less breakage. the longest it's ever been is when it was being straightened along with the natural styles. however you never really mention anything about that in this video so i'm not really sure. any help would be super appreciated

Nicole: Great job w/ explaining your hair tips! I definitely wrote down the info. Thank you for your insight!

Mami Chula: I do the pulling method like with locs on my natural 4c hair (gently lol) to seperate it before I use a brush I removed every 2 rows in. If I come across a tangle I immediately drop the brush and start the pulling method again. If I come across single strand knots, I cut them off if I can’t gently pry them apart. I don’t get as many as I used to as long as I keep my hair in a moistened state. 4c hair needs a lot more tlc but I wouldn’t trade my soft wooly hair for the world. I also wash my hair in a banded method so it doesn’t have a chance to kink up. My god if you let 4c hair mingle within itself you will have a hell of a time detangling

Prophetess Tracy Chrisp: Hello Eugenia, I love watching your videos. They are very informational and extremely helpful. Since watching your videos, I've started using the Aloe Vera Juice, MSM, and Fenugreek mixture and my hair has so totalky grown! I'm like wow. I've never had long hair before but like you said about these all natural products: they work! My length before using was probably to the nape of my head, but now a little past my shoulders! It only been about a month if using it, that's what is amazing to me! Thank you for sharing all if your contents. It's truly been a blessing to me!!!

mangopeel: Ever since I started blow drying my roots and then stretching the rest while it’s drying I’ve finally started retaining length

kdevonraine: OMG that's why I stopped going to the salon cause I feel the same way and I don't even have 4c hair. Man, I so agree on this point. You are hilarious.

The Vent: I do not like hairstylists! They don’t care if they break your hair. My hair has went through so much . You’re inspiring me. Thank you

Brandie Tate: This is the first natrual hair 4c grower I finally stayed and listen to. Many 4c youtubers that make videos on how to grow hair long were pretty much born with it or had long perm hair before, so I never listened. Your pictures, steps, and video was very informative.

Aaliyahfan2010: I love your videos omgosh! You had me ballin when you said how the stylist rake through your hair!!!! So true!!!!! Lmao I do not go to salon anymore. I finally did big chop before my 40th bday. I have always had long hair but never how it was when I was younger. As a adult longest was bra strap length. I wish someone told me to stop with the relaxers years ago!!! Finally I think I figured this natural hair thing out. Thanks for videos

Ewe/Èʋeweddings: Yaaasssss Ghana is out here representing with such long 4c hair !!

Jojo To Zion: Love this video. Lol I so agree with the detangling before going to a hair dresser. I haven't found one yet that takes the time to detangle my hair with out ripping it out!!!!

Bontae Wynn: Yeah you're right. I feel like some stylist is jealous about their clients hair being healthier than theirs or it's longer than yours and they might not like you but does your hair for the money.not realizing how hard you've worked to get your hair where it's at. Yes I use youtube to find routines like deep conditioning or oil treatments....I've learned my lesson.... thank you for the tips

Janee Coleman: You got me sooo encouraged to start my natural hai journey again! & you are gorgeous!! do you think dying your hair can be really damaging?

Adeela Ousmane: Glad i came across your channel! Love how transparent you were, you just earned a subs

Youths On A Misson: Thanks for the video. There are people who have relaxed hair and still grow their hair beautiful and strong. Everyone's hair is different.

Chi_123: I agree with everything that you said except for the part where you talked about natural hair products. Granted, natural hair products are great but my hair thrives when I use water and grease for my ends. I even went back to using the Pink lotion and my hair is at my lower back now. Nonetheless, I love your videos!

Meli Lara: Great tips! I never thought of getting hair products from etsy! Just subscribe! I'm Hispanic with curly hair and my husband is African with tight curly hair. I love to watch these videos because my son and future children I know will have kinky curly hair and I want to keep it natural and healthy!really great info!

Eunice Agbons Otakho: Your hair journey has seriously motivated me to take more care of my hair! But do you deep condition weekly or once a month?

태형여자: Thank you so much for the advice. im going back natural so this really helps me THANK YOU SO MUCH

Ebizzill: me writing notes like my life depends on it. lol

khadie lewis: Being able to leave your hair in a protective style for 4 to 6 weeks and being able to wash your hair while still in corn rows is awesome for you. But you do have to realize that some of us out here have scalp conditions which do not permit us to go passed a week without washing our scalp with medicated shampoos. Some of us cant even wear braids or a wig without getting itchy scalp and inflamed scalp. Twist are indeed a protective style for me! I can leave mine in for a week or two without manipulating my hair. Cornrows break my hair no mater how I try it just does not work for me. So im saying all this to make the point that the number one best tip is to LEARN your hair and your body. Understand what works for you and does not by paying attention. Not everything that works for one person will work for another. So dont judge to harshly those who cant even go 2 weeks with braids or wigs on their head. I use twists and my hair is already mid back length, a few more inches and it will be to my waist all the while I've never warn crochet braids, wigs or weaves. My hair is always in twists or in some other low manipulation style. Naturals need to get to know their hair!

Nyanontee Cooper: You don’t have to apologize for wearing a wig during your natural hair journey - it’s a protective style

MimiMelody: When my hair gets this long I’m not wearing weave but then I know I’m lying bc I HATE combing my head lawd

Keesha B: Thanks for the tips! you look beautiful with short and long hair.

Paula MCKENZIE: Love your honesty

Selena: You are doing a great job taking care of your hair! I would also suggest taking collegen everyday. I put collegen power in my coffee and it has made my hair stronger and that also means less change of breakage.

Bella Rayne: Leaving my hair alone and doing protective styles work for me too. I also just wash my cornrows because I just can't be bothered. I also take MSM and my other vitamins. I'm going for waist length...below collar bone now so I have a while. Thanks for the tips

Trieva TheDiva: You're gorgeous! I appreciate the tips!

QueenCWifey R: I love your energy I’m working on my daughter hair her hair just at a stop I’m going to try your method young Queen

Cherry Poo: Yes girl I am glad I came across this video it was so helpful... and yes girl stylist be so rough with your hair and I actually do the same thing and detangle my hair before I go to get my hair braided

Beauty Stick: I miss my mum threading my hair. She use to do it when we were growing up but arthritis means she struggles to do it. I’ve been able to braid my hair in extensions before I was even a teenager (self taught) but didn’t learn to thread properly let alone on myself.
