Hey guys, it's jess welcome back to my channel, so um hello. If you saw my last video, let's just move on um and let's get on into the hair content. What we're all here for okay, so i'm gon na keep it 100 with you guys. My hair is in complete shambles it's so bad, it's really bad. I just don't really have much excuse for how i've been treating my hair. You know i love to do the big reveal, but, like it's just like it's bad, the crust is actually um outrageous. So for today's video we're doing none other than the maximum hydration method, okay, the maximum hydration method, because, even though it's a long drawn-out process - and i don't plan on doing this more than once or twice a year - it's necessary, it's so bad hello. I mean if y'all were to really see what my hair looked like up. Close you would really be like sis is everything. Okay. Is everything? Okay, blink twice? If everything is okay, so um yeah, that's what we're gon na do. Honestly, as my hair got longer, i'm not gon na lie, stop taking care of it less, and my hair is not even close to my like goal length nowhere near, but i just got lazy, not on my game. It'S been bad, i'm just gon na take these twists out really quick and then i'm gon na give you guys my full attention. Okay, so basically, my hair is dry to the touch really to the touch it's giving me sahara, desert vibes. It is giving me glaze chips, type of teas, it's just giving me cracked lips in the winter. You know so we're gon na do the maximum hydration method. This is a long method. Some girls are like. Oh, i did it for five days in a row and i reached ultimate hydration. I am not those girls. Okay, i'm doing this for one day and if i don't reach my maximum hydration today, then it's just never happening because it's too many steps. It'S too many steps, so it's a five-step treatment. Okay, so first step is clarify: now you can choose to use um an apple, cider, vinegar, rinse like i'm about to do or you can use a a sulfate free shampoo, but i just felt like, let's just you know, let's use the things from the earth er From publix, but let's just get this together and i know some of you guys are going to be like. Oh my gosh, your hair still looks good but like it's not, i just don't know what to tell you all right. So, let's just get on into this rinse, i'm using the raw organic, unfiltered apple, cider, vinegar, not that cheapy cheap stuff like this is the real stuff. So i'm doing a half and half mixture, i'm doing seven, ounces of apple, cider, vinegar and then seven ounces of warm water and then i'm just gon na shake it together. Put the cap on do a little shaky shake and just a few benefits of apple cider. Vinegar in your hair, it helps to um what does it do? It balance it's on the screen, but it balances your scalp and hair ph level. It fights against dandruff, dry, itchy scalp. It promotes soft, shiny hair and it also combats split ends. So we love that energy, so something you're going to see me doing a lot in this video is saturating. My hair with water, like water, is such an important source of um, hydration and moisture, and especially especially ladies. If you are low porosity, you want to sit underneath this water and just let it do its thing. This is probably the best hair product out. There is water from the earth, so i just wanted to show you guys what my hair looks like without doing anything. So far, just saturating it in water, as you can see, the water is rolling off of my hair because i am low porosity and you really got to work things in. So that's just what it looks like before. We do anything so with the apple cider, vinegar, rinse, i'm making sure i put it all over my scalp and i'm using my fingers to rub it in and try to get all the impurities off of my scalp also make sure that you're putting it from root To tip and getting all of your hair strands as well, because this is a clarifying step. So after i do that for all four sections, i'm just going to twist my hair up and put it back into each section all right, so i'm just going to go ahead and rinse that out of my hair sitting under the water again. But let me tell you guys, you really want to take time rinsing this out of your hair because it smells so stink. Oh, that stuff stinks so bad. I'M not even gon na lie to you, my goodness, but i will tell you that it made my hair feel so soft, like usually after shampoos. My hair feels a little dry and brittle, which i don't really worry about, because i know the deep conditioner is going to take care of it, but my hair was really soft. After that apple cider, vinegar, rinse, it just was pretty stank. So prepare your heart, mind and soul for that. So the next step is deep conditioning with the aunt jackie's in control, moisturizing and softening conditioner. I'M just going to go ahead and put that throughout my hair and i'm going to finger detangle and also you're, going to see me using my red tangle teezer as well, because it really helps to clump my curls together, but make sure you finger finger detangle first, Before you go in with any type of small tooth detangler which a tangle teaser is pretty small too, so you just want to be careful with that, but it really was helping to clump my curls together and get me right. So i just go ahead and do that throughout my hair and then i'm right back underneath the water, i'm right back, underneath the water um, so yeah, i'm just gon na rinse that out of my hair and i'm not even gon na lie to you guys. Some point around this area is when i started to realize that this process is taking way too long. I'M like. Why did i decide to do this all right, so we're no stranger to the next step, but i'm just going to show you guys really quick anyways. It'S just a bentonite clay, hair treatment, just going to use a little bit of bentonite clay a little bit of apple cider, vinegar. I used what was left over of my rinse and i'm also throwing in some peppermint oil in there as well. Just a pro tip. You want to make sure you're not using a metal spoon or a metal bowl to mix your treatment because it takes away from like the i forget, the word, but if you google it, i promise it'll tell you everything you need to know: okay, um, so anyways. This is what my treatment looks like after. This is the texture that i was going for, and this is what it's making my hair look like so far. I love me a good bentonite clay treatment because i really love how it really helps to define my hair before i go into like my wash and go. If i could do this every time, i would but it's just way too messy and it takes up way too much time. So i'm not doing that and it clogs my drain, make sure you got drano on deck because ma'am all right, so i'm just gon na finish. Putting this throughout my hair definitely love the results. When i turn around you're gon na see the back of my hair, like the curls, are really clumped together and very defined, and i think that's such a great start to um get a pop and wash and go which we're gon na do next. But i'm just gon na rinse the clay treatment out of my hair and there's just something so satisfying about me watching this clay. Just rinse up out of my hair love that for me um so really soon. You'Re going to see my face change because i just realized how moisturized my hair is and right about here, i'm like well. What is this come on? Somebody, my hair is so moisturized right now, i'm gon na give you guys a side by side of what we started with to what we have now. I must say that i reached maximum hydration, come on somebody, hello, don't say and tell y'all i'm giving you all the steps. Okay, i'm giving you all the steps, but yeah i was just so shook with how moisturized my hair is and my hair is so shiny. Like my hair is extremely shiny right now, i think that has a lot to do with the apple cider, vinegar, um, treatment that i did in the beginning. My hair is so shiny. It was so soft. The frizz was to a minimum hello and the curls were really clumping together. So the last one kind of last step that i'm going to do is put in some leave-in conditioner, i'm using the camila rose, honey, leave-in conditioner, my camera shot is a little off here. Y'All, please forgive me, but this is actually the first time i'm applying my leave-in in the shower. Y'All have been telling me to do this for months, and this is my first time doing it and i definitely see a huge difference of applying it to soaking, wet hair, then applying it to air dried hair, so pro tip apply your leave-in conditioner in the shower. I know you guys have been saying it, but can we just look at this shine and look at the clump look at the hydration hello? I know you see it. I know you see it, i'm like. Oh, maybe this was a little worth it come on. Somebody hey very, very um, happy with those results, so i'm just gon na take a shower now and now. Here we are where i have done a back section. I'M sorry i'm talking so much give me some grace a back section of my wash and go i'm using my favorite combo right now, which is the s curl gel or whatever, and my eco styler gel, also using my tangle tees or where i need, because it Helps pump my curls together so much, but guys i'm telling you this is probably the best wash and go i've had to date. I'M gon na turn around really quick and you're. Gon na see that there's zero frizz in my do y'all see that there's zero frizz and my hair is so shiny. I honestly cannot believe how clumped together my curls are and how shiny my hair is. I was definitely very impressed very impressed yeah, i'm just i'm very impressed and i don't have much more to say. I'M gon na pop back in with the actual end time voice soon, but yeah, i'm just gon na go ahead and finish the rest of my hair. One thing i do want to say: if this is your first time ever doing this, they do suggest you start off with a cherry lola treatment, but that treatment is not my ministry way too many products waste too much time. I was not about to do that. Who has amino acids in their cupboard who not me, but i will link a video down below cherry lola treatment other than that, i'm about to talk to y'all in real time now: okay, bye, okay. So this is my hair um, fully coated with the gels and escrow yada yada in my hair. It'S definitely giving me it's giving moisture. Okay, it's giving hydration it is. It is first of all my skin is giving me wow um, but wow like jeez. The shine is actually out of control. I'M this shine is jeez. Louisa girl, i mean my hair just impresses me every time, gosh lee. If this isn't maximum hydration, i don't know what it is. I'M not doing this tomorrow. There could be more, but i'm pretty satisfied with what we have here. Okay, wow, that's good! That'S real good! Are you kidding wow wow um? Let me give you guys a close-up one more time of what we have here. This is crazy. What it's crazy really do! Love that for me, i love you guys very much thanks so much for watching this video took me a lot of time. I'M not gon na lie. This took me about four or five hours, the recording and the coming in and out of the bathtub. It'S a lot. I'M gon na i'm gon na see you guys later bye. You

I used the acv rinse, deep conditioner, clay mask, then the leave in + gel AND MY HAIR HAS NEVER LOOKED SO BEAUTIFUL AND DEFINED like I was never able to have a defined wash and go PERIOD but this time my wash and go is lasting for 5+ dayssss AND it’s beautifully defined even in the BACK!!! I love this method! ❤️❤️❤️

Health and beauty with Kori: Yesss girl. Can I just say. You slayed. I actually broke down weeks ago and texturized my hair after big chopping 4 years ago. I’m liking it but after about 1 month of length retention it broke off and is brittle. So I am going to do a vinegar rinse once a month. Deep condition every week and do some protective twists and braids and high maintaining of water and conditioning so I can get back to retaining length. Thank you for this inspiration. I feel you when you talk about those steps I’m not the one-if it don’t work after 3 steps I’m out. I need simple lol trying to be better for my hair tho. ❤️❤️❤️ your gorgeous and your hair length is a length I’ve actually never had my whole life so if I can just get there I’ll have some hope. Thx again.

Bobbi Goodwin: THANK YOU FOR SAVING MY HAIR!!! Long, but if your hair isn't healthy you need to read this. I normally have super healthy 3b/c-ish hair, medium course but Super low maintenance with no issues. Literally wash and go. I suddenly started losing hair by the handful a few months ago and then really severe the last few weeks. Told by a dermatologist and other doctor it was stress related. Hormonal maybe. Chop dead hair, fix stress and wait on New hair. Then by a hair consultant that I had over moisturized it to the point of hygral fatigue and only solution was to cut it off. Broken, dry, frizzy and would just turn to mush in the shower and literally disintegrate. No matter what I tried (moisture, protein, etc) it was gummy and falling out non stop. Stumbled upon this last night.... three weeks, 2 dozen "recipes", and about $200 wasted dollars later. I then went and researched the cherry lola method as well as other blogs on MHM. Then came back here to follow along. I did the other first step option of baking soda and conditioner since my hair hates acv as well as acv being known to close the cuticle more and baking soda opening it. My hair plumped up and actually felt normal with the first step!! I haven't been able to even untangle in almost a month or even touch it when wet it was so gummy and awful. If I even attempted handfuls just fell out. Everything I tried made it worse and just sat on my hair making it more disgusting. I lost over 50% of my hair in the last few months and was so devastated, about to chop it all off assuming it was dead and gone due to OVER moisture damage. I did a strand test in the beginning and saw it was low porosity but then the hair consultant told me it was actually high because of the damage.... Ugh. So I was attempting all this stuff thinking my hair was OPEN.... Wasted money on all these recipes not realizing NONE of it was getting in. Found this video and figured wth, if I'm chopping it off no harm in trying. Once I did the baking soda/conditioner (same as your step one just a different option based on preference for those who are new to this like me), I got SO MUCH HOPE feeling my hair plump up and feel NORMAL that I rinsed and then did the whole recipe adding avocado, honey, banana, yogurt. I of course don't have amino acids in my cupboard either lmao.... I just used some raw coconut milk instead. Added baking soda to that also and left for a few hours and girl, that rinse was the BEST my hair ever has felt!! I'm getting ready to go to the clay part and scared because my hair is finally back to normal and I don't want to lose it... But will proceed. Sis you literally just saved me with this video!! I'm guessing my hair is obviously super low porosity and I also moved four months ago to a place with very hard water that must've caused mineral buildup making my porosity worse. Nothing was getting in. No professional found that either. The baking soda opened my cuticles and let all that desperately needed moisture in. I will do this now weekly. THANK YOU FOR SAVING MY HAIR!!! Subscribed! ♥️

JaNay Danyse: Yessssss I can’t wait to try this on my hair! So ready to give my hair a break from the wigs lol!!!

elisa2309: Thank you for this video! Totally white girl here with a beautiful half African daughter with 4b-4c type hair (as I'm learning) so I'm out looking for advice and watching videos to help with her hair as much as I can. I'm getting the hang of it quite well cause I'm not shy and I ask people since I never knew anything about curly hair (have the finest, no volume whatsoever, straight hair, ughhhh) Never done maximum hydration and I'm thinking she needs it cause I see a lot of breakage and dryness especially at the ends... (dads...) Will this work for her? She's almost 6yo. It's there a hair mask or any other method that I can also use more often on her? Any advice welcome!!!

ResilientIzShe: I feel you on the process. I actually feel like that with most of the natural hair processes. I get lax 1/2 way thru every time.

Tenisha Deed: This whole process was so satisfying to watch

Yala: Hello, I have a few questions I hope you can answer : Did you let your hair air dry before applying the mask? How long did you leave the mask on for? Did you shampoo and conditioner at any point besides the deep conditioner and leave in? Sorry for all the questions! My daughter has the same exact type of hair and I want to do it step by step to reach this results! Thank you!

RaeofSunshine: I used this to train my curls when I first went natural years ago!! It takes forever but so worth it!!!

Enma Rizkallah: I love your personality!!! Super authentic and honest. I will try it this week. Thank you!!!

Micheal Waid: I work in the theatre industry and I'm trying to educate myself on the care of various textures of hair (especially the type 4's), and I just wanted to say that I love this video. Great information, humor, and this editing is on point. And you are right, it made your skin look amazing, too! I don't have any hair but maybe I'll try this method on my face. haha

Ghostt_NotCasper: Not gone lie I been looking at hair care videos for like 5 hrs while I work and I must say THIS THE ONE! Thank you

5l0ul0u95: Try the no oil/butter routine. It will give you better results with less steps. I’ve done the maximum hydration method and it’s so tiring. The no oi/butter routine is where it’s at. I said no cause I love my castor and moringa oil but... trust me. Amazing. Fluffy, soft, long lasting curls

Y7L: I love that honey hydrate…I use it on my daughter with curling cream and it’s so hydrating!

Raven Parker: Hey Jess!! I'm so happy I found you! I'm low porosity as well and am constantly searching for ways to keep my hair happy. Thanks a bunch!! God bless you so much.

Alexceoanna Campo: This was a great video, I’ll definitely try this method. What would be the best thing to do with your hair if you’re not planning on a wash and go? Because I’m sure blow drying will just dry it out again. Also, how would you maintain the moisture? Leave in conditioner every other day? Also does this keep your scalp moisturized? I have so many questions lol

SaysSimone: Girrrrrrl I just did the Aztec clay mask the other day! I love this mask. It makes my hair so much cleaner, softer, and shiner than other shampoos! Also applying your leave-in the shower allows for better absorption of the product... low porosity over here lol

Joeri Williamson: My hair literally breaks from the slightest touches when wet. I have a steamer and the hood is often covered in tiny pieces of hair because of how bad my hair is. Any tips would be much appreciated I can’t even apply products without my hair covering the bottle, my hands, and everything else (ps, I’ve done 2 big chops already and lately I’ve been deep conditioning more often to help this)

RoseTime: My hair used to be so dry and I tried it, it’s so soft and hydrated. I can’t wait to try it again Thank you I used my MONAT Conditioner since I couldn’t find yours Btw I have 4c

Reshana Washington: So glad I found this. My hair has been so dry and I couldn’t figure out what to do. Doing this today!

Fateara Mines: Yes, I'm lazy too. Love my hair and it's length. Usually I cut my hair every April to a inch and I haven't cut it in 2 years. Your hair and you look beautiful!

Mind Your Money: Yes sis, those curls are gorgeous. Definitely heavenly hydrated. I'll need to try this too - my curls need a revival. Thanks for sharing!

Quin McMullen: I do this once a month!! It’s worth it!!

Maryam: Girl...your energy is everything

ItsRyRyENT.: I love your energy throughout this video! Even voiceovers kept me watching every second of the video

Nelley24: Was looking for a hydration method for my short dry itchy 4c low porosity taped cut. Watched your video ordered everything from Amazon. My curl is now more defined and feel that my hair is soft. Using this method every time now. Thank you
