Step-by-step instructions for an Onion Juice recipe with a boost. All ingredients used are backed by science

HELPFUL TIPS:

- Onion Essential Oil also provides the same benefits. Onion essential oil is potent so make sure you mix it with a carrier oil. Black Castor Oil is a great option.

- To mask an onion smell, add essential oils to your shampoo to wash it out. Also, add an essential oil to whatever oil and/or cream you use to style your hair.

- Make sure to keep your eyes closed while washing out the onion juice recipe so the pepper does not get into your eyes.

- The cayenne pepper also does a great job at opening your pores on your face. So, this is a great time to use a really good facial moisturizer on your face b/c it will penetrate really well.

- Its safe to use this Onion Juice recipe on the same day you use a Clay Cleanser, REAL Protein Treatment, Herbal Hot Oil Treatment, Rice Water Rinse and ACV Rinse.

Hey guys, this onion juice recipe is definitely a new staple of mine. I love it, but in true fashion I had to give it an upgrade. So in this video, I'm gon na show you how to make a stronger recipe for maximum results for one application. All you'll need is an onion 2 garlic, cloves and 1 teaspoon of cayenne pepper. Here'S a link to a video that goes over in detail the science behind how onions boost hair growth. If you're wondering what type of onion to use it's best to use a yellow onion because they have more sulfur and flavonoids. You can tell because they have the sharpest taste, garlic and onions are members of the same alien family, so garlic also has an insane amount of antibacterial and antifungal properties. Garlic also has a high amounts of sulfur and stimulates blood flow to the scalp. On top of that, it has tons of zinc and copper. The cayenne pepper has capsaicin in it, which is a powerful bonus, because it also increases the stimulation of blood flow to your scalp. This combination creates a serious hair growth aid and it's a safer organic substitute for those of you that are thinking about using Monistat for hair growth. Fun fact: did you know onions have such a spiritual significance to ancient Egyptians that they were placed in the tombs of kings yep. Our ancestors were definitely onto something any whom I'm gon na show you two methods of how to prepare this onion juice recipe. The blend method and the boil method they're both equally effective, there's an alcohol method where you soak an onion in alcohol overnight strain the mixture and use it, but the alcohol dries our hair out a lot. So I don't recommend this method for anyone with highly textured hair, with the blend method. All you'll need is a high-powered blender. You can also use a food processor or juicer cut off the ends and peel off the scales of the onion and garlic make sure not to peel off too much because most of their benefits are on the outer layers. Then blend them strain out. The liquid from the fibers you may have to give it some help or you could just use a cheesecloth, then add one teaspoon of cayenne, pepper, put it in an application bottle and it's ready to use it's best to use this mix fresh for maximum potency. So this portion is good for one application for the boil method, make sure to first chop the onion and garlic into small pieces, and let it sit for about five minutes, so it can release a powerful antioxidant called allicin. You know that Alison is developing when you start to smell that familiar sharp scent of onion and garlic. Add one chopped onion and two chopped garlic cloves to one and a half cups of water, onions and garlic are special because boiling them does not destroy their nutrients and health benefits instead they're transferred into the water once it starts to boil, remove it from the heat You can simply pick out the chunks with a spoon or sift them out. Let it cool add the 1 teaspoon of cayenne. Pepper, then add it to an application bottle and it's ready to use. Since it was boiled, you can also store any leftovers in the refrigerator. For up to 5 days, I want to go over a few mistakes I made when I first did this treatment, so you can avoid them for the blend method make sure not to skip the straining step. The onion and garlic fibers seem innocent and it's easy to assume that they'll effortlessly wash out but know not what tightly curly hair. It'S so quick to simply blend the recipe and skip the straining process, but you'll pay for it later on, because those little pieces will get stuck in your curls and they're difficult to get out also do not wash your hair before the onion treatment wash it after. If you do the onion treatment after washing your hair, that lingering onion smell will be more pungent and will last longer, I previously made both of these mistakes and paid dearly for it. So please avoid them. Everyone does this differently, but I like to do this scalp treatment when I have braids in my hair, because braids give me better access to my scalp without having to manipulate my thick hair so much this recipe will affect everyone differently. Certain medications, such as aspirin, can increase sensitivity to onions, so you may want to test a small section of your skin first and watch for any reactions like if that area turns red or if you see raised bumps, if you're good go ahead and coach your scalp. If you don't have braids in your hair and your hair is thick like mine, I strongly suggest you do this in sections to avoid tangles long. Braids like these can be rough on your edges. So if you plan on getting them make sure your edges are strong and full install them loosely and don't wear them too often or keep them in for too long. I plan on only having these in, for one month, massage your scalp for a minute or so to help jump-start blood flow. You can invert your head as well, if you're up for it now, you have two options. You can either just use a shower cap for two hours or sit under a hooded dryer for thirty minutes after it's done, cooking wash and condition your hair as usual. The wash should be enough to get rid of all the particles, but you may want to use a nice smelling essential oil mix to help with any lingering onion smell. Overall, this treatment is worth trying for those of you with thinning edges, shedding issues and, if you're, looking for an effective growth aid, so I know you're excited and you want to try this right away, which is great, but I want to remind you not to overdo This, because, if you do it too much or too often, it can cause a really bad headache and make your scalp really sensitive. This onion juice recipe I gave you is powerful and it works best if is used long-term, so rather than using it every day. For a week and then stopping try to do it once a week or once every two weeks on your wash days and stick with it long term, that's what I plan to do so I'll show you an update in a few months. Here are some answers to questions you may be thinking. If I missed anything, let me know below hey again. I hope this video was helpful. Here'S a link to a video that goes over the science of how onion juice works to speed up hair growth. This in case you're curious and a link to a video on Monistat for hair growth. I plan on using this recipe once a week and I'll give you an update in a few months. Let me know below, if you plan on trying this and what your regimen is going to be, as always thanks for watching see you next video

Athaliah Noel: When I found this video in 2017 I had fine, short, dirty brown, unhealthy natural hair. 6 months after doing this weekly, my hair was no longer fine but extremely thick and I am so thankful for this video. I encourage anyone who comes across this video, try it. It works! My hair is now thicker, longer, much darker and healthier! Thank you Green beauty!

K: To be honest, I tried this consistently once a week for 2months and I saw amazing results in length, volume, shine and colour. Thumbs up girlllll

Eve Lashell: I have this recipe sitting on my head right now and I wanted to share a tip. For those of you who don't have a strainer or the cheesecloth, using a coffee filter will ensure that no pieces are left in your hair. (Do this before adding Cheyenne pepper or it will filter out the pepper too)

Kim O: Y'ALL THIS WORKS! My non-existent edges grew back in less than 2 months!!! I used onions, garlic, ginger, vitamin e oil, and rosemary+peppermint essential oil. I applied it on my edges every night (missed a few) for 1 hour and rinsed it out. After I put an oil (Wild growth hair oil) to seal in the moisture. I started seeing drastic results within 3 weeks! I've tried everything okay! JBCO, virgin hair fertilizer, rice water...I even shaved my edges (yupp you heard me) two years ago because I thought they would grow back (but they didn't lol) This works! It stinks but it's really effective!!! Here are some tips that may help! 1. Don't brush your edges leave them alone. Make sure your bonnet is secure (I sleep with a satin bonnet and I secure it with a head band) because if it isn't it can actually stress your hairline. 2. Drink water and stay healthy lol. You are what you eat so have a balanced diet. 3. Apply the mix to your edges and leave it in the refrigerator for a week for optimal freshness. 4. Leave your edges alone!!!! I can't stress this enough. Stop using gels, and combs/brushes on your edges. Also, make sure your "protective style" is really protecting your hair. I lost my eges because of tight box braids, cornrows and afropuffs. Putting your hair in a ponytail everyday is not healthy! I had to learn the hard way. 5. Anddddd take progress pictures! I did and I can definitely see the difference. I hope that helps! God bless❤

Slot 2578: Now this is one decent video that is not only informative but quite sincerely put together. Very clear in presentation and has that warm feeling to it. Good job girl !

Afrodite: This channel deserves MUCH more subscribers y’all she is breaking down the chemistry, taking Q&A’s, giving real advice! I also love how she approaches hair by describing it by the texture. Her product website is even informative by teaching you how to evaluate your hair. Seriously videos.

Femari Ly: This really works. my hair has never been this long and my edges are back! i've been doing it once a week for a few months now. i don't mind the smell because of the results I'm getting from this treatment

Mona La Bella: I just wanted to come back on here and say that the onion juice left my hair so soft and nourished that my partner couldn't keep his hands out of my hair! I did the boil method.

Krystal Kove: I absolutely LU❤️ this pre-poo! I’ve been doing it for about three months and it’s amazing how clean my scalp feels afterwards. I add a small piece of ginger root for an extra boost and I can almost feel my follicles “dancing” with delight! But seriously if you haven’t tried this one yet, you really need to — it delivers as promised!

DeJeri Young: This chic is like a mad scientist. She needs to formulate her own hair care line.

Cassandra Vargas: I love how you put in so much effort and detail into your videos so all of my questions are answered! Usually i have to look up so many different things but you provide enough information to make me feel sure that i am safe doing this treatment❤️thank you so much mama youre so beautiful too!!!

tracey trought: Thanks Green beauty for your recipe. I have scarring alopecia and was diagnosed 2006. I started using your recipe twice a week along with rice water and I am so happy to say I see hair on my bald spots for first time in years! Even the hair that I still have is thicker and growing. Never knew something was simple as onions and rice could grow hair! For anyone with alopecia, please try this and give it a good 3 months for results. You have nothing to lose because the ingredients are not expensive. I plan on using this recipe forever!

Pearline Williams: Your onion juice recipe did wonders for my hair, it's thicker and longer since I stated using it four months, I even shared it with my friends

Melene Parris: This treatment is great I've been doing it weekly for 3/4 months. My hair is thick & soft

Redblast: I know this is an old video but guys this onion juice recipe works, I have been natural for 2 years but no edges and just 2 months ago I decided to take my hair more seriously and boom I stumbled on this channel. I use the blend method plus ginger once every two weeks on my wash days and I am really glad my edges are filling in. Personally I love the tingling effect the cayenne pepper gives.

Eddie jr: Tip if you dont have a bottle applicator just use a water bottle drill a small hole at the top of the cap and boom you got yourself an application bottle(:

Sha'Niya Jacobs: Thank you so much Green Beauty for all of the wisdom you’ve accumulated and shared with us My hair has greatly improved using your onion juice recipe and your products online. I haven’t used the onion juice consistently for more than 2 months, but 2023 is my ultimate self-love and self-care year, so I look forward to being consistent with my regimens and documenting my journey. May God bless you beyond measure. Happy New Year!!!

Touch Not The Lord’s anointed: Been using this for a year consistently. My hair is so much thicker and longer and the shine is so nice

NappyFu TV: I love it when science backs up methods I use!!! I enjoy your videos tfs.....

Presious: This definitely helps with seboherric dermatitis . Suffering from this for over ten years and after doing this treatment for 2 weeks I am having no flare ups..

Jennifer B.: This is probably the most informative video, I have ever seen. Very beginner friendly, and accommodates to different learning styles. Thank you very much. You’re gorgeous. Your hair is so full and healthy, love it!

Sound Reign: Girl you ain’t lying about it being powerful... I FEEL the power lol. Thanks for this. Today is the start of me using this. I’ve been sick so I hope to continue to use this along with my new hair journey.

Shauna Brown: If anyone is interested, to get the onion smell out of your hair just mix coffee, vinegar, baking soda into your clarifying shampoo. If your hair is light and you don't want the coffee to darken your hair, just mix the vinegar, baking soda into your clarifying shampoo. You can leave out the baking soda if you don't feel comfortable putting that in your hair. Lather, rinse, repeat. And after that you can follow that up with an moisturizing shampoo.

Melanie Guilbault: I tried this today with the boiled version. My hair feels so light and fluffy and is so soft. I did not expect that, what a nice bonus. Hope it helps with the growth.

N. Eliana: Every natural should know about this channel!! ❤❤

Wendi Williams: I love your videos! They are very informative and concise. My crown had thinned after getting braids consistently in the early 2000's. I then got diagnosed with breast cancer in 2013 and lost all of my hair from the aggressive chemo. My hair has been slowly growing back since I completed my treatments in 2014 and also from the preventative medications (tamoxifin) I was put on. I'm hoping that trying this onion treatment as well as consulting with a dermatologist will help me with crown thinning and slow growth issues. Thanks again for taking the time to make these great videos.

Karen Cas: Using 3 of the best natural foods for hair health and growth at one time is an awesome idea. I used the garlic only for 2 months, 3 days weekly, for a whole different scalp purpose, not knowing it would greatly increase my hair density, strengthen, give shine, lengthen and grow my hair fast. That was a great bonus. But I do recommend using a glass bottle/jar to store any leftover juice when using the boil method. This will also ensure a more potent concoction over the days vs storing the juice in a plastic bottle. :) Also, I would apply the juice in the early am or right when I get home from work, apply a couple of shower caps (leakage and the smell), and after a couple of hrs reapply more juice as the hair soaks it up over time, then reapply till gone or if you reapplied at least twice.

tamara: Glad this channel has been getting so much love since I started watching your videos a few years ago! Definitely one of the most informative and reliable natural hair channels out there. Thank you!

Ter beja777: Thank you! I lost most of my hair a year ago when my dad passed away so I ended up having to cut it to about 2 in. All around. I was horrified, I was dealing with terrible anxiety. I also have lupus and hypothyroidism so I pray this works. My hair has been growing back very very slowly. I'm looking for a boost in speed of growth. Btw...I really enjoyed your video, you have a beautiful soothing voice. Very relaxing to listen to video. God Bless

Beauty From Within 89: Have been watching your videos this entire week, building up my ideal winter hair care routine. Excited to put this all together. Preparing my onion juice for my wash day this Sunday. 2022 is the year of cellf love in action. Happy my 4c hair is finally getting the love, care. & nourishment it deserves. Been a long time coming. Thank you for all that you do!

Kenisha White: Thank you so much for this video. This channel is so helpful and informative when it comes to hair care...Especially afro-textured hair. I love you not only gave us the measurements of the recipe, but also how to incorporate it into your regimen to get great results. As well as what not to do. Please never stop spreading informative information. I'm learning so much for this channel. I'm going to try this to help grow back my edges and for overall hair growth. Will there be a video on how to help combat frizz in the future? The roots of my hair always seem to get frizz and dry faster then the rest of my hair.

Hillary Prado: I like the pace of the video and how informative it is. I infused garlic, onion and carrot into my hair oil for my scalp. I usually just use carrot but started using onion and garlic this week. Once I’m done with the oil I may do the juice since it can be done fresh every time and is easier. Loved this vid!

Tengetile Zwane: A million thumbs up. Came across this when I wanted to grow back my edges 4months ago, I ended up using it all over my head. My braider came in last week & asked what new product have I added to my hair, it's so much fuller. At that moment I only use garlic & onion I haven't added the cayenne pepper yet

Johanna Earthly Ramos: I’m late to the party, but can’t wait to incorporate this into my routine. You’re so bomb!

Helen Kariuki: @GreenBeauty, girl I love your videos. Very educative, well researched and straight to the point. Bless! Keep doing what you do

Alicia XOTWOD: I love this woman. She gives ALL the info. I needed this

Shauna Brown: I'll be doing this this weekend. Unfortunately I suffered a hair setback so what I'm going to have to do is cut over 50% of my hair. Over the past two weeks I've been documenting some things that I'll be using in order to get my hair to grow back stronger than before. I think this is going to be a great addition to my new hair re-journey. I actually created my own onion juice recipe by adding to the onion juice, garlic and cayenne powder was black tea and green tea .. I actually reduced shedding to almost nothing after the very first use, so I know this definitely works. I'm also going back to the basics and start using blue magic hair conditioner sulfer 8 for eight. I remember using this and my hair grew like weeds. Protein treatments once a month, over night deep conditioner under my steam hair dryer once a week. One thing that I am considering is doing the "greenhouse effect" whenever I can. I also want to include rice water somewhere in there. Just thought I would fill you in on my hair re-journey. Any advice will be welcomed! Also want to thank you for the videos they are all very very informative!

joneslr25: Day One for me using her Onion Juice recipe, it's literally in my hair right now (boil method, but strained out the cayenne pepper after 30min them bottled). My goal is fuller edges, thicker and shinier hair.

Pati 🇿🇦: Tried it yesterday and my hair is so soft and easy to manage. Thank you!!! Your videos are exceptional

D Curly: Love your videos! They are succinct and grounded in science. And your instructions are crystal clear. I’m going to try this regimen for my thinning hair. Thanks so much!

Michèle Harris: I plan on using it weekly. My hair has two types of curl pattern. The back of my head is thicker than the front, but shorter. I'm beginning to thin on the top. I am definitely going to take your advice as I could see the growth. I'm hoping this will make my hair thicker. Much love.

Ronnie Mat: I have to say your onion juice is great despite using less cayenne pepper. My hair is stronger. Then I rinsed, shampooed and conditioned with my home made conditioner. It's definitely part of my simple hair regime now. Thanks.

Sumayyah Shannon: I love your videos. I've been watching for years and you've helped me a lot on my natural hair journey. thank you so much

Destiny: Excellant video as always. I’ve just put the onion juice (boiled method) on my scalp, now waiting the 2hr period for its magic. I’m sure it’ll work, as the oil rinse method really worked for me. I intend to do this regularly as directed. Thanks so much GreenBeauty!!!!!

Lorrine McCarroll: I can not wait to try this! You are very informative with what you share about this hair care.Thank you Sister for sharing this information to women like myself who is or had experience with this hair crisis. You are impactful with the information you given. God bless you as you continue to share throughout our community.

LovelyLotus: BY FAR best natural remedy channel! Thank you for breaking down the science so we have a better understanding . Wonderful & kind presentation & yet to the point . Thank you ! ❤️

miranda nyakudya: You're such a blessing to us black queens going natural. Thank you

Miss MLB: The first time I tried this, I did the boil method. I decided to try the blend method. WOWEEE!! I can really feel the tingle. I am excited to see the results of this treatment after consistent use. Thank you Green Beauty

Antonia Gregory: Hi, thanks for the great video. I've just tried this method out and I had loads of the mixture leftover. Do you use it on your hair as well as your scalp? I thought I'd check if there's something I'm missing :)

daspecialist1220: Great job! Very clear and easy to follow and understand. Keep up the good work!

Ania O: Your videos are the best! So informative, straight to the point and so helpful!

Nkechi Douglas: Hey. I watched this video when you posted it initially, and I stuck with a regimen of once fortnightly, using the boil method. After a while, I combined the onion juice and rice water. I'm not a loose natural, my hair is in locs. I've been doing this for about 2 years now. My testimony is that my edges were revitalised, my hair is thicker and I experience very minimal shedding. Let's not even talk about length...I've experienced exponential growth. Thank you for sharing your secrets. I still keep to the 2 wks washday treatment. I leave it on overnight and wash in the morning. Godbless! Love from Nigeria.

Luit and Yolanda: AWESOME! Finally, a Youtuber that relies on scientific information to make hair choice decisions. I absolutely love your channel and your videos!

Alvinah Ben-El: I'm currently a skin care formulation student, but have been making DIY natural hair care products for over ten years. I didn't make it pass 2:21 before I was so inspired that I made a 100% natural leave-in conditioner version this product. It's light and just works lovely, I used Shea butter, Olive oil, and Cayenne pepper infused coconut oil (for the Cayenne pepper) for my water phase I took MSM powder (for the sulfur) mixed with water, Aloe vera, and glycerin, an emulsifier, lavender and rosemary E/O and a preservative. Because it is not heavy it can be used as a lotion, it can be applied to the scalp, and the hair, and best of all ( for me) It does not have to be rinsed out. Thanks for your inspiring video, I think I will continue watching now.

Jae Bea Blessed: Girl! Im sitting here now with onion, garlic, ginger, cayenne diy on my head now! I feel the "burn"! I used the boil method.I am going to use it once a month or every 3 weeks. I put 12 drops hibiscus essential oil in mixture. I hour to go! Thanks for info!

Valerie Odom: I love your approach to each recipe with the science, benefits, and facts! I'm a former teacher and you teach us THE SCIENCE TO BACK UP YOUR TOPICS. This is now my "Go To Channel" for hair FACTS. Thank you!!!

Pamela Queen: Thank you so much for this video. Since you posted your results, I started using your onion juice recipe on my dry, thin hair. I plan to do it once a week, followed by alternating with your protein treatment and herbal hot oil treatment bi-weekly.

Sherri Bryant: Hi green beauty I’ve just recently discovered your channel in recent month and I am really impressed with the simplicity in which you detail deep subjects. Thanks so much. Also can the rice water mixture or tea rinse be implemented on the same week as this mixture but after the wash or will it be too much.

Sharon Pierre Louis: I did this with my hair in crochet braids!  NO WAY IN HECK I'M DOING THAT AGAIN!!!  The smell lingered for EVER!  I've done it without braids and it worked quite well.  So that's what I'm going to keep doing.

Arlene Welch: I have experienced excessive shedding for the past year. It's gotten much worse the past few months. I have done your rice water rinse recipe and love the effect it has on my hair. But to combat the hair loss, would you suggest your onion juice treatment instead? Which do you think is more effective for what I believe is stress related hair loss? Thank you in advance!

Davi Love: Hi, could you add in your video that this helps with sebhorric dermatitis? I have it and after the second time using this mixture before shampooing my hair, my scalp has been so much better! It's not completely flake free but I can wear protective styles with my scalp out without being self conscious.

Yo Mama: This is TRULY the best onion hair growth video I have ever seen !! And I watched a lot !! Keep it up!! and thank you for spreading a nice dose of knowledge :-) :-)

DoubleXs: Just stumbled upon your channel. Absolutely love how detailed your reviews are. I am so trying this. Thank you!

Delores McRay: I use the onion juice and I definitely saw a considerable growth in my hair. It works!!!!

wildcatste: I've been using this for about a month. One thing to know though is when I used heat to help set the onion juice my head smelled like onions even after washing and using other scents over it. Although it takes a lot longer to leave it in without heat, my hair didn't smell after washing.

Hidden Intuition: This looks like a great recipe! My only issue is the smell. I've tried onion juice before and can't seem to cut the smell I've tried using essential oils to get rid of it, but it still stinks. Any advice would be awesome!

Jai Kurls: I just started using your boiled onion juice recipe. My doctor told me to try raw onion nearly 10 years ago, but I could not handle the smell of raw onion. I wish I saw your recipe when you first posted it. I hope I get a good result because I'm tired of wearing a wig. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.

mangreat71: i love it how you broke it down with the blend method and boil method on different sides.I wrote down notes. And then explain the errors at the end.Super sweet.

Sherine Elliott: Hi Green Beauty, love your informative videos as well as the educational breakdown of various things. But I do have a problem that I hope you can solve. I did the onion juice (blend method) however, the smell of garlic and onion is still lingering after three weeks especially when I sweat. I have tried tea tree essential oil spritz and also ACV rinse but nothing is helping. Is there any other helpful solutions?!

ron mae: This girl is one of the best youtubers ever!

Star Cherry: Onions and garlic are my favourite ingredients to add flavour to my food!

Rose. H: I plan on trying this on my daughters hair. She was diagnosed with Alopecia when she was 12 and we were told that all of her hair will eventually fall out and that it will never grow back (you know I didn't accept that, right). I took cosmetology and know quite a bit about the science of hair. About 3 years ago, we cut off the damaged parts, and cut her hair very low. It has grown back (slowly) and the density in one part of her hair is not like the rest of her hair and her hair color has changed significantly. Anyway. I figured that this would be a good thing to try on her. She is now 17 years old and I'll see what happens. Funny thing...when she was little she would eat onions like apples (about 2-3 a week) as she got older she stopped eating them raw and only would consume them in cooked food or a random salad or as Haitians we place sliced onions on everything. I wonder if there's a correlation on how her hair was growing while consuming onions as opposed to not eating as many. **sorry for the long post**

Sharon Chase: Hello! I do the onion treatment weekly and one of the challenges is the lingering smell. A YouTuber had a video to help get rid of the onion smell. She used vinegar and water. 1 part vinegar and 2 part water after your onion rinse. Leave the vinegar mixture in your hair for 15 minutes and WAALAA, the smell is gone. It actually works!! The vinegar mixture also removes bacteria from your scalp. Leaving your healthy hair and scalp feeling great !

I Am Sparkles: Thank you for all your hard work . Your videos are always so informative and impeccably produced. I would really like to incorporate this onion juice recipe into my water only hair regiment . (I do a clay wash once a month or so ). What do you suggest ?

Chelsea Girl: Very well done. This is an intelligent, well planned and produced video. The medical/science background is very evident.

M O: I’m definitely going to try this as you have suggested. Thank you for being very helpful x

Krissie G: Your channel is the best hands down I follow the hair regimen of keeping hair in a productive style 85% of the time I scoop the sebum and wash once every two weeks I invert also I’m getting an inch every month About to add this recipe to the mix

mzfit4u: Today is hair wash day! I have the onion/garlic/cayenne pepper (using the boil method) on my scalp now. I will allow it to stay on my scalp for two hours because I have some house chores to do. It feels like I'm under a hair dryer though, LOL. Very warm sensation.

Lorna Williams: I previously heard about this, but shrugged it off. Now that You have suggested it, however, I'm going to try it every two weeks. Thanks for the info and detailed video-you answered all of my questions without me having to ask!

Woodtunes Music, Inc.: I’m trying this regimen 1-2 x per month and I am enjoying the process; my home smells like an Italian bakery!!!

Kaybean: Thank you for this very detailed video! I am white and my hair is soft and shiny but also fine and fragile so I read that this method can help anyone who wants more strength and moisture in their hair. I went and bought white onions but I'm going to go back to the store now and get yellow. Thanks again!

Tem D.: Does this work on color treated hair? Also, how much essential oil do you suggest to add to the mixture to help with the smell?

JoJo Bean: Doing this all of 2018! Thank you Green Beauty!

Tye & Tech: So I was using rice water. Never had any issues but I didn’t notice any visible growth so I stopped. I’m going to start trying this once a week when I wash my locs. I also just purchased your PH spritz and oil tx. I’m praying for results! I had surgery in December and I am losing my hair (mainly edges) as a side effect. When I mentioned my concerns to my doctor she only prescribed me iron pills because I’m anemic... I have been my whole life and I know that’s not the cause of my hair loss.

Marii Amethyst: I have a problem area (bald spot) on top of my head and I’m currently working on that area for regrowth. I made an onion juice recipe last night with yellow onion, garlic, black pepper, and added in some oils like a little of lavender, peppermint oil, carrot oil, and a little of aloe Vera juice. I plan on going shopping tomorrow for cayenne pepper and rosemary oil among other things. I’ve heard so much good things about onion juice and I’m looking forward to see how well it works on my hair and problem area!

Ilze Joy: Hi, just a quick question - do you suggest i do this before my pre-poo or after? I noticed you didn't include a pre-poo in your method since you were wearing braids in the clip. ♡ thanks so much, you're a genius and i love your videos.
