Hi, everyone welcome to discovery natural, and today I am going to show you how I hide the smell of onion juice in my hair. I'Ve not done onion juice in the past, and the reason is because I cannot stand the smell of this thing's right here now. There are different kind of onions that you can use. We have over here the white onion, and then we have the red, onion and yellow onions onion right here. This is the most potent one. This is the most popular one. This is the one that has the most soft fur and you guys know that the software is the main ingredient of hair growth. Is the main ingredient of you know stimulating scalp to generate all that lovely head, whether you guys always see when people use onions in their hair? Well, this particular software helps to formulate carotene in the hair, and it also helps you for hair growth, and it also helps you with your scalp. If you have dandruff and things of that sort, this particular yellow one contains vitamin C, which is 20 % vitamin C. It contains 4 percent, calcium and 2 percent iron. Now it also has protein and the amount of protein it adds it has about 2 grams of protein. Thank you, google, for telling me all that, so the white onion it's as a mouthful, but this is the ones that you use when you have your salad and your food and things of that sort. That only adds about 15 grams of vitamin C 4 grams of calcium iron, 2 %, and not for gram 15 %, not grants people so, and it also has 1 gram of protein. So this is not the one that you really want to use when you're doing your all juice for your onion, just for your hair, now the red onion. This is the one I actually grew up with it's using salads, easily Nigerians, you obey or BAE, and it's also used in different things. It contains 15 %, vitamin C, 4 percent, calcium iron, 2 percent and chain one gram, a lot of information about onion juice. I got it from Green Beauty Channel and my uncle Google, you can decide which one you want to use the yellow one as the strongest smell. According to my uncle Google - and this is why I wan na try this smell proof plane with this yellow one. So I've chopped up my onions right here and the next thing is to blame strain: the onion juice, I'm using this pantyhose quiz trance quiz as much onion juice, as you can get out, because it's gon na start dripping in there. So this is about 50 ml. That'S about a quarter cup of onion juice, people wonder how to preserve their onion juice. Personally, I think you just cut the amount dyes necessary for your hair for that wash day, but if you can't, if you just have a big one and you want to store it, you can start the blended onion in ice cubes like this. I have a couple of oils right here and the first oil is lemon oil, now lemon oil as antifungal properties that can help you with your scalp. It'S ELPS to clean the scalp kind of clogged, the scalp, and also to up with the phone calls, and it also helps you against dandruff and things of that sort. Next, it's also as properties that can help with stimulating regrowth of hair lemongrass on the harder and help strengthen the hair follicles, and it's also contains antibacterial properties that help give you healthy scalp, and you all know that healthy here it goes from healthy scalp. So we just add about three drops, but this is what helps you to match the smell, and this is pretty much it. I'M gon na show you our I applied to my hair now, and that is pretty much it. As I said, I'm gon na keep in my hair for about an hour. I'M not gon na do overnight, just because I want to wash my hair, but you guys enjoyed this video. If you do, please give us a thumbs up, and let me know if you're gon na try this and what you think of the results, thanks for watching bye,

Katherine Miller: Thanks for doing all of that research! I've watched Green Beauty' and Nappyfu's videos about onion juice. I make mine with yellow onion, ginger and a little cayenne pepper. I add lemongrass, peppermint and lavender essential oils to mine. The oils mask the scent somewhat but it doesn't bother me. I put it in my hair on wash day and sometimes I'll do a home workout to get the blood flowing to my hair. I leave it in for about 30 minutes and then shampoo it out. I used to leave it in overnight, but that was way too stinky and uncomfortable for me. I believe it has helped stimulate new growth.

Precious Lafleur: I've heard of this from Green Beauty as well and it works! I've done this for about four months and she has updated her recipe. She added one clove of garlic and one teaspoon of grounded cayenne pepper to it. She also said that using the yellow onion was best. I never added anything to the recipe though because she stated that you should use it before shampooing because shampooing will get the smell out of your hair, which was true for me. Great video though. Thank you for sharing. I'm always looking at different ways to do things!

tiny toys and trinkets fun: Thank you so much for this. I'm 3 years out and in remission of cancer, but my hair isn't growing in full and looks so bad when it's down! I will start this tonight and hope for the best!!!!!!

MoonHoney Mami🌙: I just started today I use organic castor oil a ginger root juice , and yellow onion juice I added rosemary oil to preserve the mixture but I can still smell the onion I plan to use this every day and then wash every two weeks while my hair is in corn rows. I feel like it’s going to work

Brown Skin60: Thank you! ANOTHER game changing video! I also did not want to try the onion juice because of the awful smell but now I’ll try the lemongrass at your suggestion. Also great idea using a dropper bottle. Thanks for sharing! Quick question: Did the onion smell come out of your blender easy?

Sandi F: Right on time! I’m three weeks in using onion juice for my dermatitis. I woke up wondering if my hair smelled like onion and saw your vid lol I’m gonna try this. I will say that my scalp typically needs to be tended too by mid week. This was the first week I made it 5 days without itching after 3 days. I’m gonna continue using it for the rest of the year to see how it goes.

WeveNever BeenAlone: Boil it and that takes care of the smell 90% and has the same effect and you can store any left over in the freezer for the next wash day. Also it is only in your hair for an hour under plastic for an hour on wash day as a kind of prepoo. Add some cayenne.

Alisha Simms: I use it, and apply it only to my scalp before washing my hair; then, give myself a good ol' scalp massage, and allow it sit on my head no more than 10-15 minutes. I mix mine with yellow onion, ginger and garlic, and apply it twice per month (1st & 3rd Saturdays). I too watched Green Beauty's channel and am not yet brave enough to add the cayenne pepper as she does. Thank you for sharing!

Joanne Guiste - MumNatural: The scent is what has kept me from trying onion juice as well so this will definitely help when I do decide to try it out. . Thanks for the info

Delia P: I have been using onion over 2 months, without knowing there was a way to mask the smell.. it's now 4 weeks since I stopped using it, and the smell still comes up when it's hot or I exercise or I wash my hair! I wash my hair every day I dont know what to do haha..

natural7ly: I forgot to mention that the lemongrass essential oil REALLY made a world of difference, in my humble opinion. I didn't have the lemon oil so I just used the lemongrass. My eyes didn't burn at all and the smell was much more bearable Thank you for that great video my beautiful Sister!

MUM & 3T: Very detailed and helpful video. Thanks for sharing

TheWebStylist: Nice informative video! I will follow your instagram now that I've google 'discovered' your natural awesomeness! I've been looking for a natural alternative after 4 years of using Rogaine and have heard onions can be an amazing natural replacement that can work better + get rid of the dandruff that rogaine has caused (jeez I can't even wear my fav color black without it being noticeable on my shoulders within an hour, and 4 yrs of that!) What do you suggest for me to shampoo with after OR do you shampoo, let my hair dry ('m a white dude, w brown and bit of gray, straightish feathered hair) then apply? The lemon completely takes away the onion smell? I am a web designer who has a lot of in person client meetings and can't have first impression smelling like an onion factory! ha #butseriously

Michael Thompson Jr.: Do you think this would help with thinning dread hair? I typically wash them once every 2 weeks then retwist. Any advice? Thanks!

T K: Your hair is GORGEOUS!!!! Thanks for the tips! Great video!

natural7ly: OK. Thanks for your response. I used it for the onion juice and not for the rice water. My hair is feeling great!

natural7ly: Hello again. I enjoyed this informative video as I do all of your videos. Thank you. I have one question. Since my hair is so high in porosity I avoid plastic caps. My hair absorbs everything very readily (it's retaining that is the problem with high porosity). Do I HAVE to use the plastic cap, or can I just allow it to sit for 30 minutes? Also, must it remain in for at least an hour, or is 30 minutes enough? This same question is for the rice water rinse; Do I necessarily need the plastic cap? I don't use one for my regular protein treatments (which are on hold for now while I do the rice water) and my protein absorbs well.

Daniela Metolli: Now that we are in quarantine its finally thr time to try it

janet benjamin: Thank you Uncle Google and Aunty Sola lol I use the Green Beauty onion juice recipe and do the boil method to collect the onion juice...this hinders the smell and it is just as effective as the blend method

Mandie Marie: You were very helpful!!! Thank you!!

Naturally Mati: Thank you, your video is very informative as always.

Chanjanejane: Thank you for sharing , I will give this method a try. I am trying to regrew hair in my crown area and wanted to try the onion juice method. I tried it yesterday and even after washing my hair, I can smell onion. I smell like an onion ring the whole day today.

Jeccy M: Thanks, how do you store the juice, room temperature or in the fridge? For how long can we use the already made juice? And is it possible that we could also use a piece of onion and scrub it on affected area instead of the whole head?

B B: Sucha great idea! Can you substitute any of the oils??

Shardé Reid: Very informative, thank you

Rose Rodriguez: Thank you for those tips. Lemongrass oil and lemon oil do help. But I over do it by put to much lemongrass oil. So on my next onion juice treatment I put a few drops. Lol. Nevertheless your tips work. Thank you.

Ife O.: Aunty Sola, e kasan, e ku ojo meta! Haven't been on the YouTube channel in a while, but I've been following you all on Instagram. Your hair is poppin'! I have been using onion juice treatments with the yellow onion, because that's what's usually on sale, lol! Never knew it has the most sulphur content, thanks for educating us on that. Green Beauty's boil method has been working great for me! Been using it for about 2 months and my hair is darker and less shedding. I also add chopped garlic and ginger and sometimes a sprig of fresh rosemary, then I add cayenne pepper. I add essential oils too. I haven't tried lemon oil though, because I had read somewhere that it lightens pigmentation on the skin and could make your skin photosensitive, so I was worried about my hair lightening. How has your experience been with the lemon oil? Thanks so much as always!

Simone King: I'm scarred from the first time I did it so I probably won't try again lol. Let us know how it went!

D Hambira: Onion juice does really work for hair growth thanks guys

Deborah Russell: The lemon really cut the smell, I use it all the time now. About 2 times a month.

Sable 711: Thanks for the tip that might help get rid of the onion odor. I guess my favorite way is MSM though.

Natalia Pola: I saw this had no protein and I'm protein sensitive. I'm thinking this is a great DIY treatment for low porosity hair. But, I'm going to use lavender oil instead.

Edna Carradine: Hi everyone , just a thought , try also adding the oils to your shampoo and conditioner.

Oyin Adeniyi: *Do not do it on freshly washed hair or the smell will not go away after you shampoo it out. You have been warned!*

Roxyverse: Great video I was wondering how you hide that smell

MyNaturalMyChoice: Excellent information on masking the scent of onion scent. Thanks for taking the to share.

Pamela Brown: Ty for sharing Sis, I googled: What essential oil will mask onion smell? and your video came up❣️

Atreyee Mallick: I just bought lemon essential oil without even watching your video, now I can use it

Jae Bea Blessed: My first onion rinse I used yellow onion...garlic..cayenne pepper....Girl no more cayenne for me. I used the boiling method to prepare the rinse. I left it in on my scalp 30 minutes. Talk about stimulating. I'm not found of smell but I'm going to use it for about 3 months at least twice a month.

Malva Parker: Can I substitute the cayenne pepper with black pepper? Thanks for sharing your recipe.

Tamara Marrone: I've tried lemon oil, orange oil, peppermint oil, Rosemary oil, and tea tree oil, to mask the smell and it just didn't work to mask the smell. I shampooed with lemon/orange scented shampoo and added lemon oil to my conditioner and the smell still lingered A month ago, I had to give up onion juice all together, because I just couldn't take the smell anymore. I used onion juice for about 8 months, once per week. I hated giving it up because it halted my grays and it regrew some of the hair I had lost from relaxing years ago in my crown area. ONION JUICE WORKS, but.....the lingering smell

quidagis33: Anyone suffer from itchiness after using onion juice? I have not tried it yet because of my reaction to Sulfur 8. I don't know if I have a slight topical allergy because I can consume onions and other foods without problems.

Ttk (Talktokemi): Very helpful, thanks

Joan Jennings: Thank you for the information. My questions is after creating this video did using the lemon oil and lemongrass oil eliminate the smell of the onion juice?

Geene Martinez: t question is, do you still use hair grease in your hair after using onion oil in your hair?

Sarah jane Fite Massey: I have used this and it really works I love it my hair is shoulder length now befor it would only grow to my ears and break off but it much stronger and really grows fast over night

Karin Westscott: Instead of lemon oil and grass can I use like actual lemons and limes?

Nubian Queen: Can I use the juice of the lemon? I will eventually get the lemon oil, but right know I have lemon.

BECKY'S CORNER: am trying this. i use this some time ago i added garlic i had to stop wen i started smelling like soup every where although i added some essential oils still wasnt able to get rid of the smell am trying this tfs sis

Abigail R.: Thank you so much for the tips ❗️❗️❗️

vitaminanime: Uncle Google I use onion hair oil (my recipe calls for mustard oil, red onion, garlic, fenugreek seeds, amla, and curry leaves) I massage my scalp with it doing the inversion method then wash it out, and though it's highly effective, my hair is growing like weeds, it stinks to high heaven! I think the stinkyness of a hair oil is directly proportionate to its effectiveness I'm going to have to get my hands on some lemongrass oil and see if my olfactory sense and family thanks me

Julie Muthoni Mbuthia: Wow!that hair is GOALS.thank you for the info.

Timesha Augustin: We always enjoy your videos.

Ben Chang: Why would you store the onion pulp over storing the drained juice in cubes??

Osa Osula: Thank you for this super helpful

Ms. Woodard: Awesome. cant wait til the weekend. Does it tingle the scalp or anything?

Sara Petkovic: I love the way you say "salad" and "protein"!!! But "salad" wins!!! :)

Yvette Cousin: This is the reason I havent done it b/c I cant walk around smelling like onion juice. But I like your solution

Nasrin Fathima: Does that essential oil completely cut off the smell? Can i use lavendar essential oil?

Iceharuyuki: Can you use fresh squeezed lemon? Im poor and oils are not cheap. Im trying to save and buying all these oils adds up. I can get lemons and onions for free from the church so I was wondering if that works too.

Sable 711: Oh and how do you keep from tearing! Onions burn my eyes so badly.

BlahBlah: Adding a pinch of salt will produce more juice from the onion.

Jennifer Stewart: Thanks for the info, could you use peppermint oil instead of lemon and lemon grass oil?

Gizella van Trigt: Lemon juice fixes the smell better than anything. And the onion/lemon pulp make a great body wash with a tablespoon of Epsom salts.

1827 Handmade: Thank you so much!

JESUS CHILD: Thank you and JESUS loves you and wants you to SURRENDER WHOLE HEARTLY to him
