J J: Hey sushmita.. I have been mixing garlic and ginger juice and putting it on my scalp twice a week for 2 weeks now.. At first it used to tingle a lot.. Which obviously meant that it was working but slowly i feel that my scalp is getting used to it as it does not tingle that much.. And i read somewhere that it will lighten my hair with constant use.. So i infused it with coconut oil.. And last night i used it.. But it did not tingle at all.. Will it still work if i mix it with coconut oil.. Or should I just continue with direct juice on my scalp? Me: I’m no expert but one thing I can recommend as well as these remedies (which DO work if you’re patient and consistent), is to get a scalp massage. It’s not the cheapest method but well worth investing in, and scalp massages stimulate the scalp (duh) and therefore encourage hair growth. I like to mix things up now and then so I’m going to use this lady’s ginger remedy, but until now I’ve been using grape seed oil on my hair which is cheap and basically magic! You can use it on your face instead of a chemically moisturiser. You’ll need to spend a few minutes rubbing it in gently and at least another ten to wait for it to soak in (you will look like a glistening baby seal for a short while after), but once it has your skin will literally glow. Give it a try...

Lisa Meredith: The best way to extract ginger juice is if you have a juicer, cut up the ginger into very small piece and put it through the juicer. you will be surprised how much ginger extract you will get, pour the juice into ice trays and freeze. And take out what you need.
