You suck at getting haircuts now, I'm assuming you clicked on this video because you saw my hair and you want the same kind of vibe. I hate that word Vibe. It sounds so chronically online, but I am, though, God wow silly me. I forgot to introduce myself: my name is fashion, elitist, AKA JQ today we're gon na be talking about how I get my haircuts and how I style my hair specifically. So maybe these tips might help you, maybe they won't, let's find out I'll toss it back over to Old JQ. The thing is when you're growing out your hair or you're trying to get it longer, and even if you have long hair, my friend listen to me, get your hair layered. My guy, please on the haircut trust me. If you get a terrible haircut, it will make you look terrible with longer hair. Your hair does get weighed down because of the length right clearly duh, so that means you're going to have to compensate for something which means you just get your hair layered. Even if it's short get it layered, what the layering does is. It allows your hair to kind of sit back on your head in a specific way, and it kind of just allows it to have that flow. Then you also have to get it textured ask for those two things, but if you show people a picture of my hair, I'm sure they'll get that same kind of vibe. What I plan on doing is I'm gon na get the top layered and then I'm gon na get it textured. I'M also going to get maybe the back layered as well and then maybe cut some of the Dead ends off of here. Just for hair maintenance, but anyway, let's get into how I actually style my hair, I'm gon na be doing my styling when I have longer hair. Before I get my hair cut and JQ, the narrator is going to take over now, so basically you're going to get your microfiber cloth and you're just going to go in the scrunching moment. As you can see here and you're just going to scrunch your hair all the way around and basically what that does is it allows your hair to kind of curl or wave out, and it just absorbs all the water you need to so now. This is the first product that I use. I use a scalp tonic by Colton King, basically and you're just going to rub that all over your scalp, our next product, is going to be my styling cream from Colton King as well. This is something I use quite often you're going to put in your hands, let it emulsify and basically just rake that in, but I scrunch it too, as I scrunched with the towel as well. Now we're on to our second thing: the brushing technique. So what you're going to do is brush your top of the head all the way back. I know it's gon na look really stupid, but this gets the job done. It adds that volume that you want and that we're looking for and yeah are going to look really stupid for a while. Just let your hair dry, like this for technique, number three you're gon na just pinch, your hair back, and this just allows the hair to kind of wave or form back because you're just teasing the hair to go in that motion. It works really well trust me and also side note get one of these plastic. Combs are really good for Distributing your conditioner while you take a shower and it also detangles your hair, so definitely get one of those. Our next technique is the splitting motion where we got our middle part, so I usually like to split it between my eyebrow and you just kind of part. The waves right there right in the middle and after you part the waves, all you got to do is just let it dry like this, and it's just gon na look amazing trust me, and with that, that's all this narrator has to really say so I'll see You when I see you, while my hair dries I'm going to cook and we're back. This is my hair. As you can see, the sides are like pretty dry and the top is still wet. So what we're gon na do is let this kind of fall. Naturally, a little bit like that and boom we're done that was pretty easy and all you're going to want to do is get the pieces that are a little stubborn and just pull them back like that, pretty much just twist them to the back to create that Flow then, from there you just kind of let your hair do what it wants and you're good. That'S how I style my hair every day and what's up everybody, I'm back. This is what my hair looks like dry completely ignore what I'm saying in this clip. Who cares, but for this next part, I'm going to teach you how to blow dry your hair there's a technique with it. It'S called the blow drying technique wow. So, let's get into it after you, microfiber cloth, your hair and or use a cotton t-shirt to dry. Your hair you're going to grab your very crappy blow dryer and I'm going to show you this technique here that we're getting ourselves involved into so basically, I had already parted my hair down, as you can see, everything's like parted down and the way I like it. So this is jq's technique, part one Numero Uno. What you're going to do is you're going to use the direction to really just push your hair back blow dry it in that direction that you wanted to go, which is creating that nice flow and that volume, as you can see, I kind of claw my hair And I push it up and that just allows it to get that volume that we're looking for with the top of the head, but I'll direct, the airflow towards the area that I want my hair to go so we're pushing it back. Well, I'm also pinching the hair or teasing it and pulling it to the back like that where it creates that nice kind of draping with the hair, where it flows like that. So this just allows my hair to kind of set that way um with the heat that we're providing it now you might get a lot of flyaways and that's totally fine. All you got to really do is rake your hair back like I'm doing here and that's pretty much going to be the whole technique. You'Re just gon na do that until it's either completely dry or slightly wet. So you just let it kind of air dry, and this is just my tip - I heavily recommend putting some type of heat protectant in so that you avoid getting any more heat damage, because you really don't want that, but you're pretty much just gon na. Do this! The whole time and your hair will dry very nicely and it's a lot faster, especially if you have longer hair - and this is a final result - looks very luscious, very beautiful. I look really sexy not gon na lie anyway and, like the absentee father, I am I'm going to once again leave you waiting for me to come back, so the narrator is going to go and buy some milk I'll see you back home soon, son. Let'S go get my hair cut morning chat it's time to get a haircut, oh, never mind. This is what my hair looks like first thing in the morning, really messy and unmanageable. Some kid ended up buying these Capital pants from you, so I'm gon na pack. These up before I eat and then we'll go drop them off. When I go get my haircut today, I'm going to be wearing a tank top these outsole pants a denim jacket. The Eric paints pretty Normie outfit got the archive ring check out the back, though wait a dog on the back all right. Let'S get out of here today, we're joined by uh this person and we're here. I lied wrong wrong place, so they took me into like a back room and and like dude was just going damn. Can we even talk to you yeah? He chatted with me like, but this is like my haircut. It did. I did get it styled, though he did style here come over here. Come this way. Follow me cameraman. The thing is like my hair is going to be flat because I did shampoo it but, like you can see like the stair like here here like this is shorter than this. It'S like what I wanted, but I got the top layered textured like you can see the different lengths of hair like it looks so good. He didn't cut it like fast though he was like when I do style it. It'S going to be probably a little up. More but it looks good just in general, you look like an actual anime character like this is how they draw anime. I look like Ren Goku ring right right. I said: Goku ran Goku his hair. I look ran through right now, guys, like his hair, is like spiky, okay, but we're gon na go get coffee. Now it was an 80 haircut FYI. It'S not that bad coffee acquired see they. They only serve 12 ounces, but this is actually 16.. Is it really yeah that's funny, but they always fill it up, so you know that's how you scam. That'S scamming that all right coffee, taste tests, pretty good, try mine six out of ten no 8 out of ten satisfactory decent. Both of these guys. That'S how you wear a block. Hi. Excuse me when this is. I want to be interviewed yeah. I need something to tell me. I'M important enough to interview we're an influencers Square Park right now and there's like three interviewers going on right now, I'm the third interviewer. I'M recording the recorders, no we're gon na do a bit where I interview the interviewer and we'll we'll drip check them. I think he's wearing Palace or something. What are you wearing today? Okay, so what's on okay, so fit check. So I have some Old Navy on. I don't know if we can get Old Navy to sponsor us, but yeah we have some Old Navy. Then I do have a vintage Jordan shirt underneath here right, ten dollars, pretty cool, hiding it under the hoodie, it's too cold, it's too cold yep, and then these are Muji pants, which Muji basketball, and then we have some new balances right. The 550. right yeah very, very doubt of me, uh, what's your style tip my style tip, keep it keep it simple. You can obviously throw in like an interesting piece, but I would say: try to have like one interesting piece as opposed to like six or seven. What are you guys, filming uh, we're doing like uh, Snapchat Truth or Dare show called? If you dare it's back early quarantine? Okay, I'm walking back home, I'm gon na go home shower. I also had to leave Kay because they had to go back, didn't do work or whatever, but we'll see how my hair looks um actually styled and how I typically style it all right, I'm home, so let's get showered and then we'll be back to see how My hair is styled all right people. I'M back. Look at my hair, my hair, it's looking it's looking great look at this. We got the nice layers going on. He did thin out the uh this over here this area and, honestly, it looks pretty good. It'S still drying a little bit, but it's gon na take a little bit of time, but, as you can see, look at that look at the nice texture. It goes back wow. All I asked for to get this haircut is for the top to be layered textured. The sides same thing: the thing is for the sides here and the back you're gon na have to grow it out again just get it layered and then get it textured and then just follow the instructions of how I styled it from the the beginning. But with that, I will see you in the next video I'm going to be doing weekly videos, so I'll see you in the next one and with that later drainers. Fashion Elitist: Next weeks video will be about hair maintenance and products I recommend! After that we will be back to regular fashion content

spacemamb0 -: I’ve been balding since I was 17 so nothing in this applies to me but i love watching all your videos anyways because you feel like the metrosexual older brother i never had

Purple shit: The barber in our area doesn’t even know what layering means

zualo: Bro really mogged us with the flex at the start

old mc joe: For the past like 4 years I only cut my hair like once maybe twice a year and it looked like shit. I've now been growing it out for about 1.5 years and it still looks like shit, but my goal right now is basically long lucious jesus hair. Right now I have a similar same hair length so I'll try styling it like this. Thanks for the video!

Rima Mitsuki: This was so cool to watch you style your hair! Shaggy hairstyles look soo good to me.. Like 10:13 is right Also, this was like a tutorial into low-key ASMR, and vlog video and it was funny watching you crack jokes and seeing the edits! Definitely will be hyped for your future content!

Kei: coincidentally found this video after wanting to grow out my hair, because after all this time I've had bad haircuts and I thought it was from my hairdressers (which it kind of was, one didn't even layer or anything). But today I got a haircut from someone I think knew what they were doing and it still came out bad at least to me, everyone says it's good but my thin hair (high density, so it's heavy and is flat) as well as a pretty big forehead to me doesn't fit together. So, after today I'm just going to grow out my hair pretty long, get either a wolfcut or just have long hair and have a man/samurai bun. Because clearly shorter hair (like two block) don't fit me because of my hair type or at least I think that's the problem as well as my forehead so I'm going to go for longer hair, which I have had and I liked way better yet I never realized that until after I got this haircut. Kind of an epiphany of realization that maybe it's just short hair doesn't fit me..?

some guy: I plan to go to the military for my career, but I also want to grow out my hair as much as possible while I still can so these vids are quite nice.

Rat: I live in a city where every guy basically has the same hairstyle, that being short and straight, and me having an afro-esque haircut, I can visibly see barbers worry upon seeing it when I walk into their salon Needless to say I've never gotten a good haircut in my life

Neil Rebel: I feel so insecure of your hair. I want to have one like yours. I used to grow a mullet as well and it looked so wolf cut when grown out haha

sour: bro is gorgeous damn. If my hair didn't reject and rebel against me as it's sole owner I would definitely try this.

soup bowl: I got my hair layered because a big section snapped off in the middle after bleaching it 5ish times (don't do that) and I've grown to like them

MaceJa: hey, i'm from europe and we can't order cult + king products, heard a lot of good things about them. do you have any alternatives for them that work pretty well?

Maxim Montana: I always go with a good pompadour, and it looks pretty great.

mō sō: my hair is literally at this point so this video is perfect for me

Dorotea: Question, I have really thick hair, currently I have side cuts amd and an umdercut, but you can't even see it with my hair down, that's how much I have. So the question is, would I need to wait for my hair to grow out to get a wolf cut or is it possible to have a wolf cut with undercut?

Rue: I know this is a month late but could you do a video on how to properly use combs, brushes, and picks

HeroinChic: I got a buzzcut on december 1st in my attempt to grow it for a year starting from scratch, but man, being bald fucking sucks, I feel incomplete, like a fucking npc.

Kento Kenyama: Hi my problem is I want my hair to be layered and can do a man bun at the same time. Been growing out my hair for a year.

Potemkin Bussin: Bold of you to assume I have a haircut, or even cut it

fluffy_cake_123: Tell me please. are these creams that he uses necessary for the hair to hold like that, or just for the vitamins for the head?

SonitClef: your editor needs a pay rise

idk whatijustposted: pffft I asked a wolfcut at my barber, he gave me a mullet, I ended up cutting the back of my hair myself, and oh well, gonna wait 3-6 months again

Zacenal: My last barber didnt even know what layering is while i payed her 10 dollars to get a pretty bad hairstyle. Now i went to a normal salon, i payed them 20 dollars and my hair is great

Leon Cézanne: I had decent hair, had it to the top of my back, was really proud of the growth within the year, I got a haircut today, the woman cut off 6+ inches, and now it looks like a bob with a pixie cut, I asked for layers, she provided (sorta) and now I look dumb. I've been to like 4 different salons, because barbers are notorious for not working with longer hair, and it ruined me, gonna kms

Random80085: ngl bro if i personally was cutting your hair i'd add another layer at the top and cut the two strands at the front to be at eye level instead of cheekbone level. That way it would actually flow with the rest of your hair instead of being pushed forward by your sides into your eyes. Rn it just looks weird and frames your face in an disproportionate way.

Hans Lim: Doesn’t your hair dry out when you ‘scrunch’? Not absorb the water it needs to? Also if you think about it, if you want to curl you hair you heat it or dry ut in some way. Pls correct me if I’m wrong I dunno what I’m saying

Adrian Pena: Where’d you get that tank? :)

- Alfeim: I have a curly hair but these tips are helpful tho

Alejandro Velasco: How often do you wash your hair, and what shampoo/condition do u use

IMBIGO: How do you prevent frizz?

Ember24k: that white button up at the end looks superb on you

kyoon-chan: tryna grow out a wolf cut after shaving the sides and the back while keeping the top longer any tips?

Shootah: My hairs down to my waist at the moment, It's extremely healthy and I take so much pride in it...Buttttt I don't know what I should do with it? Would my hair look good with this type of hairstyle? Is it too long? So many questions.

Josue Calderon: damn 80 bucks for a hair cut

P3M: Make a video for curly hair, shit is hard to deal with

NUSH: He got that sleeper physique

lerin: You never tie your hair? I have trouble while having food and washing face cus the hair just interferes so I'm forced to tie up or it can dirty

Sly : Could I still go for this style or similar if I have alopecia?

Jesus: what do u ask for ur hair?

mat hutch: what shampoo and conditioner do you use?

Nomo 4u: I’m Hispanic Guatemalan and mexican to be exact with somewhat thick hair. Could I pull off this hairstyle my guess is you’re part asian?? or something.

Ignacio Corzo: man is about to go on a journey to kill some vampires

Thunks: Another jq video? in one month? blessed

Mamon saleh: *watching while i just shaved*

Yorkie: the hair gods hate me bro i have thin, straight hair i hate my life rn im in the awkward length stage and it just sits on my forehead that swings to 1 way i really hate my hair

Zaid Syed: Had to stop the video right there in the beginning my friend. Layering doesnt work for everybody especially for people with thinner and finer hair. layering removes weight and if you get too many layers it can result in a terrible cut resulting in an even finer look. So just be careful in how much layering and what kind of layers you ask for.

Brent Campbell: Not tryna rizz you up too hard but I’ve been following you on Instagram for a while and I kinda have a crush. I just had to let that out somehow. do with that what you will❤

course: You my comforting youtuber

Lucius Whitehawk: You look like my friend she has a shaggy middle part style like you and wears round glasses like you

Ivanović: What does layering mean ?

woofwoof cam: hi ccan i ask, about the sides, issit short or you grow everything out. pls help mi

Figure out my name: Wait so no salt spray??

Diego Alejandro: excuse me sir, whats the pants brand?

Jioruju: bro is handsomely handsome

oblivion: good video

XXL: thank you

Mark: DANG I think I just found my type

lerin: Woah ur back look so cool
