200 Women Say Celebrity-Endorsed Shampoo Made Their Hair Fall Out
WEN hair care products get a lot of publicity from celebrities, including Alyssa Milano and Brooke Shields. But the QVC staples are now the subject of a class action suit filed by 200 women who claim the shampoos and conditioners caused their hair... #InsideEdition
I tried when and wow what an immediate difference. It'S the popular hair care treatment that big stars swear by. When is the only thing that can change everything for your hair, Alyssa Milano gushed about when in this commercial. My hair is always soft and shiny, and I have tons of volume and Angie Harmon claims. It did wonders for her hair. My hair hasn't looked or felt this good. In years the when haircare system was developed by celebrity hairstylist Chaz Dean Dean sells when on QVC total sales last year, 100 million dollars and he encourages his customers to use it every day when won't damage or stripped your hair. So remember the more you use the better, but the popular product is under fire today, with 200 women filing a lawsuit claiming it actually made their hair fall out. These photos are exhibits from the lawsuit taken by women who say when left them with bald patches and more women are posting their horror stories on Wednesdays book page. When you have made my hair fall out by the handfuls, wrote one irate customer after just one use. I was left with burns and sores that left scabs in my hair wrote another. You can see that there's just spots just pure spots that have been lost. This woman, who asked that we not use her name, says she lost 1/3 of her hair after using when I want to be told how it can come back and if there's ingredients that perhaps I had a reaction to what those ingredients are. So maybe we can find the answer. We ask cosmetic surgeon, dr. Michelle yagota, to examine the ingredients in when in this particular product there are several ingredients that in combination can cause inflammatory responses to the skin and that can lead to hair loss. In a statement the company says there is no scientific evidence to support any claim that the products caused anyone to lose their hair. It says it vows to vigorously contest the allegations you you

Elizabeth M: I have been using Wen since 2004 exclusively to clean and condition my hair. I have never had any negative reaction whatsoever. I actually hate when I have to get shampooed at the salon so I'll even go in with my freshly washed Wen hair. It is amazing for me. I wonder if these women had a specific allergy to essential oils.

I remember my Mom asking my hairstylist “hey so I’ve heard wen a lot and I was wondering if I should use it?” and luckily my hairstylist said “Oh no! I’ve tried it and my hair started to fall out” I’m not 12 and haven’t heard of wen in a while.

River: If a company is telling you to wash your hair as much as possible, it’s very clearly a scam to get you to use up what you have and buy more product. It’s sad, some people care so little about other humans that they will purposely cause damage like this for their personal gain. I hope that guy ends up bald and in debt!
Juno Small: Oh my god I used to use this stuff for a summer when I was 16. I remember my hair was falling out in grapefruit sized clumps but my hair is so thick you could barely tell unless you looked at it layer by layer. I could not figure out what was causing it and eventually ran out of wen and decided to to re buy because it was too expensive. Soon after my hair was fine and stopped falling out in that volume god how am I just now realizing this 5 years later?

Sudden receding hair line, bald patches, hair falling put while combing, brushing & blowing dry...!!! What in the world is in this product to make it the complete OPPOSITE of its claims??! Mandi P: I tried Wen a few years ago and I hate it. I wash my hair every 3-4 days and changed nothing in my routine except for using Wen. It made my hair greasy even after I washed and blow dried my hair my scalp was extremely dry and giving me a horrible case of dandruff. I switched back to my regular routine and swore to never try Wen again. Horrible brand.

I only used the conditioning cleanser and the company even asked me about it. When I said yes my hair thinned and no I did use anything else not even their other products. They stopped asking questions.

The texture is better than ever...i finally love my hair. Wen was a game changer for me. I can't live without it! It's expensive but worth every cent!

iSushimoon: Although I didn't loose handfuls of hair, my hair did end up thinning after weeks of using Wen. My hair is also uneven when it comes to how thin it is. The left side of my hair gets more knots since I sleep on my left so I used more of Wen conditioner on that side. Now my left side of my hair is thinner than the right.
deggy: In third grade, I used to get bad knots in my hair, I slept with matted hair for 2 weeks, and my mom took 3 hours getting the knots out with wen. It worked, my hair was so much better.
Nicole Chen: It's too bad that the store Jimbo's is only in San Diego, but they have this shampoo which is very good! My mom and I were both losing our hair because the shampoo we used for a long time, stopped selling, and we went around trying all different ones, until we found one at Jimbo's that was 100% organic, and was so great!! Our hair grew back quickly, and we have sent some to my family who live in all parts of the world, and they say it feels really good on their scalps, and love it too.

EatLovePray Vegan: Wen WAS great. I used it in the beginning with no problems. The first items on their ingredients list was all natural. Things I used I the kitchen. Now, the list contains much more chemicals in the beginning.
Alex S: There is NO product that will make your hair/skin miraculously perfect, it's trial and error, one thing might work for some while the other didn't. Find the one that worked for you, it doesn't neccesarily the have to be most expensive product. Just get something that worked.
