Hi guys in today's video i'm gon na show you how i've made my hair growth leave in conditioner. I usually don't use these types of leave-in conditioners, but i just wanted to experiment with it and see how my hair would react to it. I'Ve actually published a video where i show you how i use it for twist out so make sure to check it out. The link is in the description box. The first ingredient i use for this recipe is okra. As you can see, i use the heads and the tips of the aquapods when i make okra gel, i use the ocrapods, but i cut the extremities, and sometimes i freeze them so that i can use them later for another recipe like this one. Okra is a great source of vitamin c vitamin a folate vitamin b1 vitamin b6 vitamin k potassium manganese iron and zinc, it's very rich in antioxidants. It has antiseptic benefits and contains more inositol than rice water. You can check out my videos about okra and rice water. The links are in the description box first thing: first, i'm gon na prepare an aqueous okra macerate. I'M gon na go ahead and put about 45 awkward pieces in a heat resistant, big jar. Then i add hot mineral water to the jar and let the mixture maserate for 1 hour to make sure that the nutrients from the okra goes into the water faster. I whisk the mixture every 10 minutes, like i'm, showing you here after one hour of maceration. This is the consistency of the water, it has already cooled down and it's a little bit slimy, i'm gon na go ahead and filter the mixture. So i put everything in my filter bag like so then i squeeze and extract as much aqua water as possible. So this is how aqueous okra macerate looks like in a double boiler. Add one tablespoon of avocado oil, one tablespoon of grapeseed oil and one tablespoon of fractionated coconut oil. Then it's time to add our butters. Add two tablespoons of melted mango butter and two tablespoons of melted. Shea butter then add 3 tablespoons of emulsifier, which is in that case btms25. Finally, add the aqueous okra macerate, i'm using a tablespoon here to count the amount of macerate needed for this recipe, but keep in mind that i actually use most of the okra macerate by the way you can also call this okra water for this recipe. You can add about 23 tablespoons of aqua water. Of course you can add more or less, depending on the final consistency you like now, it's time to emulsify, i put my double boiler on the stove and i make sure to stir very well during the entire process. As you can see, i'm using a whisk because it's very efficient at mixing all the ingredients together so that the final emulsion become very stable. So, in the end your hair growth leaving conditioner will be very stable. Of course, you can use a hand mixer. It'S actually easier to use than a whisk. I make sure to mix everything until all the emulsifier is melted and get a creamy consistency. If i'm not satisfied with the consistency, i just add a little bit more aqua water, as you can see here now that my cream is ready, i remove it from the double boiler put the bowl in cold water and continue to stir with my whisk. I stir until the leave-in conditioner reaches room temperature, so i'm gon na go ahead and add 20 drops of vitamin e to my leave-in conditioner. I mix very well, then i add 10 drops of lavender essential oil. I remove the bowl from the cold water because my leave-in conditioner is already cooled down. I mix. Well then i add four drops of peppermint essential oil. I mix well. Finally, i add 15 drops of preservative here, i'm using benzyl alcohol with dihydroacetic acid, but you can use any preservative of your choice as long as it's compatible with all the ingredients used in this recipe. I mix very well so. Finally, my hair growth, leave-in conditioner, is ready. I'M gon na transfer this to a jar using my spatula. Of course, don't forget to check out the ph of your leave-in conditioner. It should range between four and five look at how beautiful this leave-in conditioner looks like it's. So rich thick and creamy, you can use it on your hair as a rinse out conditioner, leave-in, conditioner or hair mask. Of course you can also use it on your skin. That'S it for this video, don't forget to give me a thumbs up if you like it and subscribe with notifications, see you in the next video
