They take it a bit farther and I'll explain why, in a minute, we have been corresponding quite some time to get ready for the launch making sure on their and they have the designs right and we're talking early stages in them still figuring out the design of The bottle how they were gon na conduct, their hair questionnaire and the whole program overall from questionnaire to custom products. So I'm very happy to share my experience with strands hair care and again a huge thank you to strands hair care and the team for wanting to work with me and valuing my opinion, which is, I feel, the most important part of this video. Yes, they're not paying me. Yes, I'm still talking about the products, but I think it's important to share my experience with a product line that I feel can make a difference in your hair life. So, let's get started now, first and foremost, when you log on to strands haircare calm, I believe you request the strands test kit now, if all this is wrong, I'll, be sure to correct myself in a pin comment down below. This is what it looks like you would get this folder in the mail and once you open it, you have the instruction booklet that will outline what you need to do in order to start your customization process. You also have a test kit id printed here. That will be your ID to create your online profile with so when they do get the results from your hair sample. That'S where they'll post all the findings and discoveries of your your hair, cuticle and such you also have send cards with different tests, ends to figure out what set you want in your shampoo and your conditioner. You have a scalp see tests. It comes with two tabs here, so what you'll do is that the strip you'll put on your scalp and then, when you flip the card, you have a little graph that helps figure out where you are on the oily scalp spectrum, and then you will indicate that On the questionnaire, when they ask you about your scalp sebum, you also have a sample reference card and not to trigger anyone. But it's it's different plastic bags of hair. You don't have to clean your hair sample. You can gather your hair sample from a brush from the drain, which I mean I do because, because of my hair texture, it doesn't fall out on a daily basis. It stays inside. So I have quite a lot of hair loose hair that comes out when I wash it, but I make sure to dry it. At least we can do that. You don't have to worry about your hair sample being clean because they clean the sample when it gets to the lab easy-peasy, and here you have a prepaid envelope that you just drop the hair sample in and they also provide a little plastic bag for the hair Sample you put that little plastic bag in the prepaid envelope provided here and just send it away, it's very easy and once they receive your sample and they go through the lab and they analyze it. That'S when they'll prompt you to answer all the questions on the website and I'm sure you already have your profile set up by then I would just make a profile in advance. So when I do get the test results and when you get the test results, you could just log in and see those results. Now. The cool thing is, this is a printed version of my hair results that came with the shampoo and conditioner along side that you have a scalp scrubber and I think it came with the comb too. I don't know where I put it it's somewhere amongst all the hair tools that I have collected over the years in my bathroom here is a look at the hair analysis. Booklet. I really geek out on this stuff. Not only do they grade your hair condition, but they also do a microscopic analysis. What else is here protein analysis, hair texture, as well as your scalp condition that we test it with the scalp sebum tab that came in the test kits they give you personalized tips. They give you tips on scalp, how often to wash grooming and such and look. This is my hair. They give you a microscopic image of how your hair cuticle looks like, and I have a nine point. Six. I thought my hair was gon na, be crazy damaged and perhaps when it was colored, I would have had a lower score but good to know that my efforts in making sure that I moisturize my hair every day that I sleep on a silk pillowcase. All those efforts, I feel, contribute to better hair health overall and it's nice to see it now in numbers and in on this image. Also, they analyzed your hair texture, so they found that my hair texture is fine. My scalp is normal and we've created the optimal shampoo and conditioner formula for your hair with ingredients personalized based on your hair type, hair texture, hair is scalp condition, lifestyle and environment, and that information will be gathered from the questionnaire that you will take on the website. After they have received the hair sample that you sent from the test kit what's different from strands hair care, because I'm sure there are a lot of customization hair product brands out there they'll ask you a couple of questions and they'll make a guesstimate or they'll make A guess based on your lifestyle, what ingredients could work for you strands haircare, takes it a step farther and actually looking at your hair, and they dive a little deeper into that information and they're, better informed as to which ingredients are going to be best for your Hair type, scalp type, hair, texture and all the components that make up what your hair is and its condition and on the back here, they printed the ingredients that they included in my formulas. So here they included quantised Wow, honey, vitamin E, ginkgo, biloba leaf extract and under each of the ingredients it lists what it's formulated to do and they also list the actual official ingredients for the shampoo and conditioner. Now, for my shampoo, it says water, sodium C 1416. Alpha olefin sulfonate, glycerin coca me dope, cocoa, meadow propyl, betaine, sodium chloride, cocoa. My me Mia no MEA sodium Coco glutamate, and I think this is why I've been really loving the strand, shampoo and conditioner, because it cleans my hair and when you're. Like me, I use a lot of product, especially during my wash and gos, and I use product throughout the week IV wet my hair to get the curls back on, and I was gon na do that on camera, because this is from yesterday's wash and go. And I'm really loving how I was looking so far and I put on my Extra Butter from Uncle fudgie's daughter. I might put on a little more gel here on the edges. I even might put like a specialized edge pomade here and it builds up right. The more product you add, the more it builds up, if you don't wash it off properly, the residue can hang out on your scalp and that's feeding ground for the yeast that naturally occurs there and that's how you could get an itchy, scalp dandruff and all these Other awful scalp conditions that you are looking to avoid the one easy thing you can do to avoid all those nasties from happening on your scalp is to properly wash it get conditioner we're looking at water, cedar, oil, alcohol, dimethicone, fluid Organic mango seed, butter, the hitch Ramon iam chloride and squalene. I like silicones, I know for a long time we were taught or we were advised to stay away from them because they buildup on our hair. I used to think that and avoided them. Because again I was like I don't like such they dry out my hair. But now since I used them, I don't mind using silicones anymore, because I wash my hair once a week and the suds ensure that those silicones are washed off and I can start again from scratch and the fun ingredients they included are honey. Yerba extract, aloe juice. Shea butter camellia leaf extract oatmeal, and I opted for the fragrance free version for both the shampoo and conditioner. Now here are the bottles. How fun is this? You could very much tell this is inspired by the periodic table. It speaks to the emphasis on relying on science to create effective products. Now, while I understand life is life, and there are many unexplained circumstances, science cannot provide answers for, but if you, when it comes to hair care, is a good place to start to rely on the information you gather from a science experiment to see okay. Well, we see this under the microscope. We see that her hair his hair, their hair, is like this. These ingredients could work out. I'M not saying you're gon na get the best hair of your life when you use strands hair care, but I do feel if you have been unhappy with your current routine or you want something new. You want to try another way. Another approach to find really great ingredients really great products that are gon na work for you, because the information has been analyzed. They went the extra mile to extract that info in a way that science base and not just speculated, then why not and it's fun look at these bottles, they're matte black. I think it's so simple in design they come with the pumps, but they were delivered with the caps that you have here as well as inserts, which I kept, because if I find myself traveling it's nice to know, these will keep the shampoo and conditioner from spilling. If you lay the bottles flat in your bag and whatever bag you're traveling with so I'm I'm keeping these for sure and of course you drop in the pumps which are closed and open style. So, hey, hey, hey fancy, fancy fancy! So, let's drop in the clips here where I demoed the shampoo and conditioner. I first start off with the shampoo. As you see, I make sure my hair is super wet and I first go in with three pumps. I feel that's enough to get the front inside middle of my head crown of head and bottom, and it does set up not as much as the second wash as I did go in with the second wash after this first one, and I like that. There'S no fragrance I'm very sensitive to it, even though I wash it all, I find that I could still sneeze from a wash. I know I'm so sensitive and I always used to gauge a shampoos performance by finding out how well I could comb my fingers through my hair during the shampoo stage and that's just dumb. It'S dumb, I'm I washed my hair yesterday and I thought to myself, I'm washing my hair. Why would I ever want to detangle my hair while I'm that's what the conditioner step is for, so I wouldn't really think too much about how much suds are present with the shampoo. I like it because again and washes my hair. Well, it watches my scalp. Well, it ensures that all product residue is cleaned off and I rather have that then use a shampoo that, even though short it might feel like a conditioner. It'S not going to wash my hair properly. So that's that and then I went in next with the conditioner. Now I use 12 pumps total. I have a lot of hair. I make sure that I have enough conditioner in there to use my fingers first to detangle, but I eventually go in with my. We dad wide toothed comb because I feel that's just the most effective tool I have to thoroughly detangle my hair. The conditioner is great friends. I love the slip. I love that it's creamy, but it still has that fluidity and that slip that I need to ensure that my hair is not gon na break and snap, while I'm detangling it really nice silky texture. I like that, it's fragrance free it doesn't smell, weirdly fragrance free. It'S just the cream conditioner. Once you get your test results and want to go forward with purchasing strands hair care, you could do a one-time purchase and it's $ 60 total is $ 30 per bottle. That is expensive and salon pricing, but when you think about it, you're getting your own custom, shampoo and conditioner, so I feel is well worth the price. Although this was calmed, I will most certainly have bought this myself and sign up for the subscription service. You can choose the frequency of your subscription and they will be automatically mailed to you now. If there's one thing I would say I do wish you can choose the fluid ounces of each product for me and my hair type, even though it is a fine texture, it is very thick and I typically use less shampoo in one wash to go than I Do with my conditioner, so if anything, it will be cool. If we could also customize the size of our shampoo conditioner, I will opt for it. 16 ounces of the conditioner - and I will stick with the 8 ounce bottle of the shampoo, because I use 3 pumps per wash. So I use six pumps total because I wash my hair twice and then I use 12 pumps total in one conditioning step. So that's what I would probably opt for - and I don't know if strands will be open to do that, but for us, thick, haired, humans, okay, and also so that I could stay even in my youth so that I could run out of my shampoo around the Same time that I run out of my conditioner, just based on the pump count for my wash and go really happy with how the conditioner rinses out really smoothing to my hair, my hair just felt clean and silky and ready to go. It'S a nice feeling that you rinsed off washed off all that product out. Your scalp is clean. Your hair is clean, but it's not dry. It'S not brittle fantastic, fantastic experience. I have with these two products and I think that's why my styling products worked beautifully. Well, there was no product residue on my cuticle and I put on a lot of products yesterday, particularly I applied the uncle flunkies daughter, good hair lotion, sometimes I'll apply their super curl and then on top I applied their curly magic. I'M doing one two, three, four five different sections and I'm doing like a pump or pump and a half of the curling magic, each section with a pump pump and a half with the good hair for each section. So we're talking a lot of product and with that, why don't you come in a little closer? That'S enough! So I wanted to come on here and do the Refresh on camera, but look how so look how nice my hair still looks in terms of the curl definition and I didn't experience a lot of flaking either which I was really happy to discover. So I just take a generic hair water bottle and the reason why I insist on using a lot of product on the first washing go day is so that the product is still there and when the water hits it. It just reactivates. And you don't have to put on more product, you can some people do and depending on the day, sometimes I do. What I will usually apply is my either my Extra Butter or a light styling lotion just to add a little more definition, hello, water and also moisture, because it's very cold outside today and what I want to make sure that my hair is not super dry. So, look at that is down already there. We go, that's better. So what I'll do I take my Extra Butter? I do a little concoction. I take quite a bit. Actually, I have a lot of hair and have to make sure she's happy just the extra butter on the center and on the ends of my hair. I just squeeze it in here and if I wanted more definition on the size of my hair I'll take my super curl, which is defining and moisturizing. At the same time, I run that on the edges of my hair and also the bottom cuz, the bottom gets very dry and I just rake through the portions that need a little more defining and look at that. I'M really happy with how well the products sat on my hair yesterday, so this is day number two. Now is this your first time here hi my name is ELISA. I like to put up my hair a lot. I teach fitness, I'm very active and having my hair down, it's just not practical for my lifestyle. So with that said, even though I have my hair down for this demo, is it's going wrong way? I will put it up to go out today, because I have a handstand lesson and to handstand and this it gets hot. You know what I mean, but I'm really happy with how my hair turned out how it kept overnight and again. I think it's just due to the fact that my hair was properly cleansed and it was able to take on a new product well and effectively successfully. Overall, I'm very thrilled with my experience with strands hair care. I think it's great that they go through the means to analyze your hair samples, so they could provide you with the best formulations for your hair. Again, it's not just a hair questionnaire. They do the hair questionnaire because, alongside the data that they gather about your scalp condition your cuticle conditioning your hair texture, your lifestyle also plays a huge role, the climate, how you wear your hair, how you style your hair, all that information plays a vital role and How well they could successfully formulate a product, that's going to work well for your hair, and I think it's fun. It'S fun to have a custom product made for you and the fact that your bottle hold on it has my name. It has my order numbers. I could keep track, it has to date where it's made. It has the scent fragrance free. It has my scalp type, my texture type, and it just looks so cool. I love this so much right now I don't have a code. But yes, I'm thoroughly happy with strands hair care and how they positively impacted my wash and girl routine. For a while, I was figuring out how come my scalp was itching more than usual or how come I couldn't go longer than a week until I had to wash my hair again, because I just couldn't take my scalp feeling, itchy or just my hair feeling, heavy Or it just had like a great cast in terms of like my product was just still there from the week before, and I feel I was just putting product on products despite the fact that I did a wash and go I'm back to suss. But it's great to have these products that I feel have ingredients that are good for my hair type, not just speculated, but the ingredients chosen were picked based on the data that was gathered from my actual hair, that it was analyzed or the microscope that was put Through certain tests to say, hey this ingredients gon na go well or that ingredients gon na do well, if, because, if they detect heat damage or or color damage, they're gon na pick the ingredients that are going to best address those conditions, and I feel assured, as A customer and to know that this brand went the extra length to find out more about my hair, so they can best provide the products that are gon na.
