The Body Shop Haircare Review | Banana Shampoo And Conditioner | *Very Honest*

This video is going to be another hair care review for naturally curly hair. Obviously, if you've not seen my previous videos go and watch those, i have a playlist on my channel all about curly hair and i'm only gon na add to it this year. I'M just gon na go for it, so if you want to stick around for that, please do but yeah today, i'm gon na be reviewing the body shop, shampoo and conditioner from the banana range. These are just the travel sizes. Oh, is it working? These are just the ones that i got in my body. Shop advent calendar i'm gon na. Let you know what i think so i have my full curly hair routine. As a styling product. I always use the boots curl cream, one pound. Fifty can't go wrong. Can'T rave about it enough, so that is my go-to styling product, so i'm on the search for the new, shampoo and conditioner, starting with these, when i picked it up, i was like this: one is gon na be the best for me. It says that it's for normal to dry, hair, so out of all of the shampoo and conditioners that the body shop do they do green tea, ginger and strawberry and banana. I was like this one's gon na be best because it's for normal to dry, curly hair tends to be on the dryer side. So i thought you know what yes on the packaging it says formulated without silicones. So again i was like yes, that's good, no silicones. So first impression i'm like this is gon na work. For me, this sounds incredible. I'Ve also tried um the garnier banana mask, so anything banana the smell. I just love. So if you want to go first, an impression on scent just yeah like mashed banana, like it's just beautiful, can't fault the smell. The smell is up there. However, when washing my hair with this, it lathered so much - and i was like this - is so good. You know i feel like it's really cleaning my hair, don't think it was because it kind of gives you the illusion. It'S cleaning your hair. I got a comment on a previous curly hair video. I will find it and put it on the screen that i thought was so helpful. So thank you for your comment. It literally if it doesn't have sulfates in it, i'm pretty sure or it doesn't have something in it. That'S why it doesn't lather. So that's a good thing for curly girl method, then on the ingredients says that it contains sulfate - and i know sulfates are really bad for curly hair. I think it's considered a drying agent, so saying it's for normal to dry hair containing a drying agent. It'S not you know anyway, so yeah. It says that it has sulfate and that is on a top ingredient. So the first six ingredients on the top of the bottle learnt this from my friend ollie and thanks ollie, the first six ingredients. I think it is are what the product contains. Most of then everything further down the list is just kind of like bits of it. That makes any sense so yeah, the top ingredients, were water, sulfate, banana fruit, extract and honey. So obviously the body shop is like vegan cruelty, free, like all natural but yeah, the sulfates. I was like no, not good, it wasn't until i got out the shower. I also used the conditioner as well. The conditioner is quite thick, so it felt like it was really really soft and nourishing on my hair, but when i got out and it started to dry - and i put my styling product in which is the boots curl cream - don't think that they worked well together. I felt like the curl cream, just kind of like stuck to it. I don't know it just put me off the curl cream and no product has done that. I use the curl pro the curl cream with everything it's just like my holy grail. So i was kind of disappointed by that it just kind of clung to it, and i felt like i just felt like i needed to wash my hair again. It felt really dry and yeah so tried it again without the curl cream and just left it to dry, and it just felt super frizzy and lightweight. If you can see, i struggle with the crown of my head, like being this kind of wispy curl. If, if you can see that so that is, why can you even see - i don't even know so? That is why i want to follow the curly girl method and like use a microfiber cloth and try all these different things to try and help those kind of problems i have with my hair, but just using it alone, i just felt like it was really wispy. It was like it was soft, but i felt like i needed something in it to maintain that frizz it just kind of made it frizzier. If that makes any sense, i don't know this is just literally my review and i wanted to be an honest review because i'm not going to say. Oh my god, this is amazing. If i don't like it, because i love the body shop, i use everything from the body shop. I love it. I'M just so disappointed that this wasn't necessarily for me and the conditioner felt really good on the ends of my hair for a short amount of time. I just think for a long amount of time. Within like two days, i felt like i needed to wash my hair again, not even that probably one day, whereas with other shampoos that i've tried, i could probably go a week without washing my hair. This just didn't feel right for me. It just felt like it was all in my scalp. I tried it a couple of times. I'M not just saying this on first impression and i'm really sorry. This is actually my hair with it. I'Ve clipped a few bits because i do feel it's a little bit wispy on the crown, but i've had to wet it quite a lot like i've mentioned before you, i like to water, my hair um. Sometimes when you've slept on it, you know just re-watering. It helps yeah. I felt like i've had to do that quite a few times with this, but so i'm slightly disappointed by that, like i said, i'm a big fan of the body shop, so i really really wanted to like this product. I might try the other ones like ginger, i think ginger, strawberry and green tea, because i don't know if they're going to be good as well. But, like i said anything that says dry, i tend to kind of go for because curly hair is a bit drier. But yes thank you so much for watching. I know this is probably a little short video, but i just wanted to give a review of what my thoughts were of this product. I have done another review of other curly hair products and please please subscribe i'm going to follow the curly girl method, even though my hair is already curly, but like perfecting the curl and finding the absolute right products just a disclaimer. I know the boots cut. I know someone's going to comment and say that the boots curl cream has got a drying agent in it. I know, but i love it and i've got on with it for so long.
